  1. Zen Lill Says:

    Howie, thank you.
You’re absolutely right, I require ‘approval’ from no one (their friends & children included).

Happy New Year to you all and an extra sip of champs to you, Michelle, this is a special place run by an extraordinary person.

    Luv, Zen Lill

  2. Jackie Says:

Zen Lill if we want to live in a society in harmony, then we all require the “approval” of someone. It is called behaving as a civilized being.

It begins at birth when our parents and peers show by example how we should behave towards each other. You do it for your daughter. How would you react if she immaturely said “I require ‘approval’ from no one (their friends & children included).?”

You would be horrified. Just as Michelle was when you betrayed a confidence (this is a guess) or just accepted some cock-a-maime theory about her and Anonz and went ballistic.

I wonder how Anonz is taking this? Like a Gentleman, he has remained silent in the face of your awful accusations against his character. He is the true male Stalwart on this blog.

I’m sure many males were delighted to see his reputation ripped by his “lover.” But in as much as you have admitted that you were in a serious relationship for five years with another man, that would put the lie to that.

Yes, I would say that you, like the rest of us, need the approval of our peers. We need it to remind us to be civil to each other.

Let’s start this year out with an ernest effort to forgive past transgressions if we were the offended, and to recognize the hurt that we may have caused others, if we were the transgressors.

I’m sure your friend Michelle has already forgiven you. I as a loyal fan of you both have put it aside. But I had to speak up as Michelle being the Lady she is hasn’t touched it, at least on the blog, and say Yes, you did cross the line Zen Lill.

But to your credit, you put on your “Big Girl” panties and owned up to it. Don’t go back with the attitude like you were in the right.

HAPPY NEW YEAR to you and Michelle, and to the rest of this blog. It has given me five good years of entertainment and advice.

I look forward to many more.

I send a special shout out to you Anonz. I too have fallen in love with the example you have set. Keep the Bar high.

    Love
    Jackie

  3. Zen Lill Says:

I didn’t Jackie but okay, thanks for your input and happy new year!

Everyone please watch ‘American Addict’ a great documentary for modern living.

    Luv, Zen Lill

  4. Fred Says:

    HAPPY NEW YEAR

  5. Peter, GU Says:

Happy New Year. Our boys are finally out of harms way in Afghanistan.

Spc. Jose San Nicolas of Charlie Company, 1st Battalion, 294th Infantry Regiment, Guam Army National Guard, jams a guitar and sings island music to other troops while Task Force Guam soldiers await boarding Dec. 28 at North Kaia, Kabul,

MANAS TRANSITION CENTER, Kyrgyzstan — The Guam Army National Guard’s last cluster of soldiers in Afghanistan finally departed North Kaia, Kabul, Dec. 28 and arrived to a frigid cold in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, thus completing Guam’s exodus of nearly 600 troops that recently ended their Operation Enduring Freedom campaign.

Close to 150 from the Guam Army National Guard’s 1st Battalion, 294th Infantry Regiment left Afghanistan’s capital and arrived at this transition site safely. Guam’s island warmth immediately hit, as other Task Force Guam soldiers stationed elsewhere in Afghanistan also arrived hours apart, creating a reunion of sorts.

More than two dozen Foxtrot Company soldiers formerly based in Kandahar Airfield, as well as others from Delta Company, once at Camp Stone, west Afghanistan, met their Kabul-based brothers and sisters here.

The Guam soldiers will stay here for a few days. They’ll head next to Camp Shelby, Miss. for demobilization.

Guam officially ended its historic OEF mission Dec. 26.

Approximately 200 Guam Guardsmen are in Kyrgyzstan.
    =======================
We can’t wait to welcome you to Guam’s warm and friendly soil. Hurry home and Happy New Year.

  6. Deloris Says:

I see your point Jackie. My take is that Anonz didn’t come in because he never had a relationship with Zen Lill since he knew she was carrying on with her paramour and using him to keep it quiet.

So does that mean he is married? To me that would explain why Anonz, being the gentleman that he is, would have kept quiet all this time.

This is truly an entertaining blog. I used to be of the mindset that Zen Lill was just one of Michelle’s characters.

But honestly, would Michelle be so dumb as to blow the belief that she and Anonz was having an affair as Zen Lill did? No way.

I certainly hope Anonz will keep his options open because there are plenty of eligible bachelorettes on this blog that would eat him up in a moment.

I live in Athens and would make my digits known in a second, if it would make a difference. Not that I could trust Michelle to pass them on to Anonz.

    I know that I wouldn’t.

  7. Martha Says:

Deloris, me and a few of my friends are trying to keep up with your analysis. When you said married were you referring to Anonz or Zen Lill’s “paramour?”

I ventured to guess you meant that you thought that Zen Lill”s paramour was married. We know that Anonz isn’t.

I also agree with you about the eligible bachelorettes on this blog. I know that I would do whatever to meet him. It’s a shame that Zen Lill kept him all to herself for so long.

But, hey, I would do the same.

  8. Eba Says:

If I were you Michelle and I had a shot at Anonz, I would get it on and on and on.

  9. Trish Says:

Ditto that Eba. I would throw my panties in the ring in a minute.

  10. From the Desk of Nancy Pelosi Says:

Top 5 Missed Opportunities of 2013
    December 30, 2013

Congresswoman Pelosi demanding a vote to end to the government shutdown on October 17, 2013.

    Dear San Franciscan,

After a year of lurching from manufactured crisis to crisis, the Republican-led Congress headed home with what I believe is one of the most miserably unproductive records in history. In an effort to prevent all Americans from accessing quality affordable health care, they shut down our government for 16 days, costing the economy over $24 billion.

Now, they have taken more money out of the pockets of working families by preventing 1.3 million Americans who lost their job through no fault of their own from receiving critical unemployment insurance.

Instead of furthering their obstruction agenda, they should work with Democrats to find common ground and address our country’s top concerns. With the support of Members of Congress on both sides of the aisle, it is unconscionable and inconceivable that Congress continues to delay on key priorities such as job creation, comprehensive immigration reform, raising the minimum wage, passing a fully inclusive Employment Non-Discrimination Act, and preventing gun violence through Brady background checks.

One thing is clear, our nation’s working families deserve more than a year of missed opportunities and misplaced priorities. Congress must act now to ensure progress for the American people.

    best regards,

Top 5 Missed Opportunities of 2013

The Economy: We must enact a national manufacturing strategy that has found support from both businesses and labor groups: promoting the export of U.S. goods, encouraging insourcing and innovation, and training a 21st century workforce.

At the same time, we must raise the minimum wage to strengthen our families’ economic security, bolster businesses, and expand our economy. The American people deserve critical investments that move our country forward and build a brighter, more prosperous future.

Immigration Reform: Speaker Boehner has yet to bring up critical reform, even with the support of 71 percent of Americans and over 192 bipartisan Members of the House of Representatives.

My Democratic colleagues and I stand ready to pass comprehensive immigration reform that secures our borders, protects our workers, unites our families, and provides for an earned pathway to citizenship. The Senate has already passed bipartisan legislation that reflects these core principles. Now it is time for the House act.

Gun Violence Prevention: A year has passed since a lone gunman took the lives of 26 Americans in the tragic shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary in Newtown, Connecticut. Since then, nearly 5,000 more Americans have fallen victim to gun violence.

We must take action to expand Brady background checks and encourage states to improve their reporting of criminals and the dangerously mentally ill. Only by taking clear, effective steps can we restore confidence in the safety of our communities and prevent gun violence in our schools, homes, and neighborhoods.

Women’s Economic Agenda: Fighting against the outdated policies and practices that prevent women from fully participating in our economy is one of my top priorities. I am pleased to join House Democrats in offering When Women Succeed, America Succeeds: An Economic Agenda for Women and Families.

We need to end the discriminatory practice of paying women less than men for the same work, ensure access to affordable, quality childcare, and expand and improve the Family and Medical Leave Act. Women have already waited decades to benefit from the same economic security afforded to men. The wait must end now.

Ending Workplace Discrimination against LGBT Americans: Too many of our best and brightest find their voices silenced and their talents squandered by the prejudice of their employers. LGBT workers in 29 states are currently denied job opportunities, fired, or otherwise discriminated against simply because of who they are or who they love.

In November, the Senate acted in a bipartisan manner to end this discrimination once and for all by passing the fully inclusive Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA), but the House has yet to act. It is time to bring ENDA up for a vote and make this measure the law of the land.

Thousands of San Franciscans continue to benefit from the Affordable Care Act (ACA), like Rebecca, a 23-year-old manager at a fundraising firm for non-profits. After the ACA was signed into law, Rebecca was able to stay on her parents’ health plan through her 26th birthday.

Recently, Rebecca was diagnosed with a debilitating disease resulting in severe nerve damage that required neurosurgery. Without health insurance, she would have faced astronomical hospital bills that would have saddled her with enormous debt before she reached her 24th birthday.

Providing our nation’s young people with more opportunities to pursue their hopes and dreams is just one of the many ways the Affordable Care Act benefits the American people.

Health care reform puts families and small-business owners in control of their health care, holds insurance companies accountable, strengthens Medicare, lowers the cost of prescription drugs, and ensures that young people can stay on their parents’ health plan through their 26th birthday.

Covered California, California’s new health insurance marketplace, makes it easy for uninsured individuals and small businesses to shop for, compare and purchase health insurance. It’s your health care, made simple. Apply for coverage in one of four ways: online at http://www.CoveredCA.com, by phone at (800) 300-1506, by mail, and in person.

For individuals at the lowest income levels, coverage will be completely free in Medi-Cal, California’s Medicaid program. For other incomes, discounts may apply. Have a small business? Under the Affordable Care Act, it is completely optional for small businesses to choose to offer employee coverage. For more information in Spanish or Chinese, please visit my website.

  11. Heidi Says:

I just love Anonz. He is often the topic of our opening discussions about Michelle’s latest soap issue on the blog. When I see his name mentioned I get hot all over until I’ve finished reading everything on the blog that mentions him.

How could you dump Anonz, Zen Lill? Anonz, I live in ND, and you can find me if you want or I will send the particulars to Michelle.
