Well, I see this morning that some of you got in and posted a comment.  It seems Blogland Security doesn’t have that much power to keep you all out – Ha! Are they finally off my ass?! Oh how I wish.

And speaking of….

….Read  a little didley…Sen. Joe Liberman is finally going after the Bush badmin. As head of Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs, Lieberman had done next to nothing (he was often accused of being an absentee chair atop the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee) to investigate the Bush administrations misuse of power — something the committee is tasked with doing. Imagine that…a person in a power position doing NOTHING. So he’s finally stepping up – He’s demanding information in regards to Bush’s “eleventh-hour transfers of political appointees to career government positions.” I’m sure this is part of his last minute ‘end-run’ I spoke of the other day….trying to screw with our country as much as possible, and get his cronies in place, before his term ends. According to Liberman, Bush is ‘burrowing in’ and my guess is he’s doing it big time.

So..Joe who finally found his voice, and his seat it seems, is requesting additional information “to ensure that every request to burrow in is transparent, fair and equitable, and free from political influence.”

Do you think that Liberman decided to end his version of musical chairs because just a few weeks ago a small portion of the Democratic Caucus voted have him removed from his post atop the committee? Seems pretty obvious to me.  And as much as the critique was directed primarily at Lieberman’s advocacy on behalf of Sen. John McCain during the general election, many critics also pointed out that Liberman was not fulfilling his ‘tasks’ as I mentioned above.

Is Liberman really that concerned about the Bush Badmin influence when the president leaves office or has he been advised to “cya”? – that’s “covering your ass” for those of you not in the know. My guess is the latter.

Readers: What do you think?  Is Liberman finding his seat or just covering his ass?

I’ll address your comments tomorrow – got to run – enjoy the day…

Gratefully your blog host,

michelle

REDUCE STRESS, COUNTERACT FATIGUE, AND ?BOOST MEMORY… ALL WITH ONE SINGLE HERB
You’ve probably heard the typical advice on how to lower stress: Things like exercise, diet, meditation, and breathing and relaxation techniques. But did you know that you can melt away stress simply by taking an herb? It’s true!
The herb is called withania. And it’s been used in India for over 3,000 years to treat stress, fatigue, chronic disease, and waning memory.
Today, modern science is confirming the amazing benefits of this versatile herb. Laboratory studies show that it contains 47 different beneficial compounds! And studies done on both animals and humans show that it can reduce stress, relieve fatigue, and boost brain function.
In one study, researchers put lab rats under stress and found that 85% of their brain cells showed signs of deterioration. But amazingly, when the researchers gave withania to the rats, the number of degenerating brain cells was reduced to just 14%!
In another study, people taking withania reported greater energy… reduced fatigue… better sleep… and an enhanced sense of well-being. But that’s not all: When researchers tested the blood of these participants, they found improvements in blood sugar, cortisol levels, and even blood fats!
So if you feel tired, worn-out, and stressed-out, take withania. Your body will thank you!

I’m with you Michelle. That opportunist is just trying to keep his seat in the senate. He is now sucking up to the dems. I hope his voters vote him out in 2010.

The sum of America’s debts and other financial commitments is about to exceed the collective net worth of its citizens. That means that for the first time in our history, we’ll owe more money than all of us have combined Bush has finally out done that incompetent moron Reagan in fucking up the American economy.

If the RNC follows course, we will soon have airports and such named after this crook too. It is amazing to me that the stats show that 55% of whites voted to continue this madness. Can we as a race be so racist that we would ignore anything but color? I am ashamed to be white.

After 43 white men holding the office of President of the United States of America, it has come to this. I hear this man suggesting things that 43 white men who held the office before never have the balls to suggest. They were afraid to put before the American people the obvious solution to our dependence on foreign oil.

We can say what we will as a proud race. We do have our accomplishments. But who of the 43 proposed to bulk big oil, the auto industry and the powerful lobbyist to propose to alter the way America powers this country? The answer is none.

I am certain that if the 44th President was a white man, we would not be hearing this now either. We would be chanting “Drill baby drill.” Obama may not be able to bulk the weight and influence of those big three. But one has to give him kudos for trying.

If he pulls it off and removes America’s dependence on foreign oil, we stand to become the richest country in the history of the world. Imagine a superpower not dependent on some other’s country’s fuel for its existence economically?

Could our foreign policy then be based on what is right for mankind rather than what is economically expedient for America’s business men? I believe that is Obama’s vision. I also believe that that is what Anonz saw in the man.

I, too, am a lifetime RNC member. But contrary to the McCain and his hypocritical bunch, I do believe in “country first.” Hence, I voted along side of my daughter and son for Obama. I shutter to imagine the out come if WHITE POWER was as great numerically today as it was in the past. It would have meant that 55% of the white vote would have been enough for McCain to win.

I also believe in Jesus Christ as our one and only savior. I believe He said not this time to the White Race. I believe He said this is a time for change. He plucked this man from obscurity, and gave America a savior.

With the state of the racial hatred and greed in this country today, I hope enough will pray for him to insure that he gets to see the “promised land.”

    John

  4. Doug Says:

Lieberman walked away from the Democratic Party during the election to be an independent and was nearly John McCain’s VP pick, while throughout the campaign he would down talk Obama. Now that Obama is the winner he decides he is going after the Bush Administration and giving sound bites that “Obama has been doing some great initial things as the President elect and we should all give him a chance.”

With his indecisiveness and switcheroo politics he is the kind of person that Obama campaigned on getting out of Washington. It is time for him to leave.

I am saddened by Obama’s pick of Rick Warren to be the religious leader to do the inaugural prayers and such at the inauguration. That has got to be Obama’s worst decision yet. I write about him a bit on my blog for yesterday, you can click on my name above to get there.

Obama’s religious decisions throughout his campaign and now this have proven to be very off character and detrimental to him. Rick Warren should not be given a ticket and be allowed to speak as he has denounced the gay and lesbian communities, has compared abortion to the Holocaust, and backed the assassination of the Iranian President. Of course, as a man of the cloth all of this is done in the name of god…

    saddening…

  5. Zen Lill Says:

Lieberman thinks that in his last months doing something will overshadow the fact that he did nothing effective in all prior days/weeks/months. Ah, I don’t think so…

A Hidden Cause of High Cholesterol
If you have high cholesterol, you know how hard it can be to keep your numbers down by natural means alone.
Well, if you’re not getting the results you want, it’s not your fault. You see, there’s a good reason why diet and nutritional supplements don’t always work for cholesterol. They fail to address one of the major causes: Low thyroid.
That’s right, low thyroid. When your thyroid is low, your liver makes fewer LDL receptors — molecules whose job it is to pull LDL cholesterol out of your blood. And this results in higher cholesterol levels.
So how do you know if your cholesterol is caused by low thyroid? Simply look for symptoms like fatigue, dry skin, hair loss, weight problems, and low body temperature.
If you have one or more of these symptoms, I advise you to take guggulipid, an Indian herb that boosts your thyroid and lowers your cholesterol. In many cases, taking guggulipid will fix the problem.
If it doesn’t, you’ll need to have a doctor prescribe thyroid hormone to get your thyroid back in gear. But don’t take just any thyroid hormone. For best results, you’ll want to avoid the drug Synthroid® and use natural thyroid hormone instead. Most alternative and complementary doctors are very familiar with the natural form.
