Which One Is Your Fave?

Good morning!

No, I won’t be watching the Super Bowl today, but yes I did take a sneak peak at a few of the commercials that will be aired.

Super Bowl commercials 2014: Watch, and vote in our poll!

Yes, it’s time for some Monday morning quarterbacking … about which high-priced commercials produced for Super Bowl XLVIII worked, and which didn’t. Such is the anticipation among what is one of the largest TV audiences of the year, that many advertisers posted their ads online in advance, or even teaser ads for the ads, to build buzz before Sunday’s broadcast.

Click through our gallery of commercials to re-view your favorites or to catch the ones you missed; at this end of this gallery, take our poll and tell us which you think wins as this year’s most memorable Super Bowl commercial.

*****

Readers: Click on the title to watch. Which one is your fave? I’m not a Doritos chips fan, but the commercials brought back memories of when I used to eat them and let me tell you after watching a few of these, the cravings began.

Then I scrolled back to watch the Jaguar “Rendezvous,” only because I’ve always had a liking for the car. The commercial wasn’t bad either. :)

However, being the dog lover that I am, I thought Audi’s Doberhuahua was pretty funny…but the Budweiser “Puppy Love” pulled at my heart, and won me over. Apparently, I was not the only one who faved this. Within 2 days there were over 25 million views on Youtube.

Happy Sunday everyone! Enjoy the big game!

Peace out.

Lastly, greed over a great story is surfacing from my “loyal”(?) readers. With all this back and forth about who owns what, that appears on my blog, let me reiterate that all material posted on my blog becomes the sole property of my blog. If you want to reserve any proprietary rights don’t post it to my blog. I will prominently display this caveat on my blog from now on to remind those who may have forgotten this notice.

Jaguar E type is my first favorite exotic car so Jaguar will hold a place in my heart right behind Maseratis & Ferraris : )

i’m not big into US football but I’m going with the Broncos today : )

  2. Zen Lill Says:

I only watch the super bowl every year and this one was so worth it,
the Seahawks kicked major bootay 👞

I may have to reconsider watching more often, there’s nothing like watching a calculated run or a 360 spin to avoid going down. Awesomeness…

  3. Jorge Says:

I don’t usually watch American football, but since Zen Lill said she would I did. It was definitely entertaining. I asked some of my American friends to come over and watch with me. They were delighted one even wore his Cowboy jersey.

They were busy arguing about who the best team was and why. I started laughing they said “we may look like just 4 old white guys in Peru, but we know out football and this is real football.”

I must admit that the contact was much more violent. I hate to admit it but it appealed to me in a way our football just couldn’t.

When they were explaining how the Most Valuable Player of the game was selected, Steve said you can be sure they won’t give it to the black quarterback. When I asked why, Cornell said that for years the coaches of professional football told everyone that it took the brains of a white man to lead a professional football team so quarterbacks could only be white.

Peyton Manning had just had the greatest season of any of those quarterbacks and no white man was going to vote that a black quarterback had just shown how easy it was to defeat him.

Bill was so angry with Cornell for telling me that and Steve and James for agreeing with him that he got up and left in the middle of the 4th quarter. He said that telling a room full of Peruvians that made America seem racist.

I agreed until the award was made. Interesting that it happened as they other three predicted. What is your take America?

  4. Jackson Says:

Jorge: The reason that telling a room full of Peruvians that made America seem racist is because in general, Americans are racist. And many blacks are discriminated against. Yes, even in proffessional sports, where blacks generally rule.

The racist white man fears nothing like he fears being second to the black man, sooner or latter he will have to face the fact that he is not superior to anybody, based on race.

Our whole way of life is based on the fact that racist white men are somehow better than everyone else, I too am white, but I am not a bigot.

Racists have such fragile egos. Which means that the realization that they are not the best at everything will not come easily for the bigoted white man, but it will come or my name isn’t super, better than everyone at everything Jackson.

  5. Henry Says:

Jorge pay no attention to Steve. I saw that game, the nigger wasn’t all that good as the quarterback.

  6. Scott Says:

I too am a white man. But sadly what Steve and Jackson said are true. We try to make believe that the color of our skin makes us better at this or that.

I watched the game and around the end of the half I realized that Seattle’s quarterback was handing himself better than Denver’s. He made the key 3rd downs to keep his defense off the field and rested and he kept Manning from getting more chances to score because he was on the bench waiting his turn to lead.

But I also felt that Seattle’s quarterback, Wilson, wouldn’t get credit for what he was doing because it would show that he was besting a white man at the quarterback job.

Too bad they had to reach into the defense to single out a player to give the game ball to. The defense as a team stood out. It was Wilson as the leader that made the game progress as it did.

  7. Lewis Says:

I’m black and I’ pissed. But it is a waste of time. Everyone in the stadium knew Wilson wouldn’t get the Most Valuable Player Award. The announcers were already calling Wilson “just a manager of the team.”

He couldn’t be the leader of the team, that would be a white quarterback’s job. He kept Manning off the field by continuing to make first downs when they were needed. There would be No Miracle comeback because he wouldn’t be on the field to attempt one because Wilson was scrambling to complete the key pass to keep drives alive.

But, hey, he was just a “manager” not the leader of his team, that is a white quarterback’s job. So of course he couldn’t be considered for the Most Valuable Player Award.

Sad and sick that some whites need to continue to deny equality to the OTW to feel better.

  8. Connie Says:

Just what did he have to do to win it? I was so angry that I flipped the dial.

  9. David Says:

Yes they were poised to give the MVP award to Manning if his team won. They wanted so badly to stick it in the face of blacks that a white man was the best at quarterback. http://www.mmamania.com/2014/1/24/5339718/super-bowl-mvp-2014-odds-peyton-manning-favorite-pete-rozelle-trophy-nj-nfl

But when it didn’t work out that way, they couldn’t have a black quarterback win the award so they picked a black defense player to defuse any racial flack, when it was just that a racist award to deny the Black quarterback his due.

    Pathetic.

  10. Jerry Says:

The face of a black quarterback holding up the MVP trophy for a Super Bowl was terrifying for the white racist so they made sure that Wilson wouldn’t get it.

  11. Glen Says:

Malcolm Smith won the award on the merits of two big defensive plays for the Seahawks, including a 69-yard interception return for a touchdown against Peyton Manning, and a fumble recovery.

But that is nothing compared to what Wilson did all game long. But then he beat Manning’s performance and Manning was coming off a record year. So he just couldn’t be allowed to show up the white guy.

  12. Zen Lill Says:

It seemed to me that Peyton Manning was psyching himself out because he was up against a black quarterback and couldn’t fail and he did. I’m sorry the MVP didn’t go to the black quarterback but the Seahawks played wicked good.
I made mention of the majority of players and awesome athletes being black and that was a real showstopper, all white people notice it’s white men that have a big issue with it.
Team owners and coaches and managers tend to be white because white men always have to control everything, they can’t stand giving their ‘position’ in life away…

Jorge. I am honored. I am also white and not a racist though American whites tend to be racist and I hate admitting that.

    Luv, Zen Lill
