Fury At Racist Cartoon
Posted by Michelle Moquin on May 22nd, 2016
Good morning!
Lois: Wow, That’s dedication. Thank you. I’m happy that we’re back too! Even happier that you are supporting Hillary.
Marcie: Thank you. I’m amazed at the dedication. My first thought is, “Gee, how long would you have keep this up?” I missed being here too. I can’t believe it was a year and a half. It certainly didn’t feel that long.
Rebecca: Thank you.
Speaking of Trump, (and really how can we not?) once again, we experience the hypocrisy of the right claiming to be for women while encouraging body shaming and racial profiling. Some things never change.
Here’s the write:
Fury at racist cartoon comparing ‘butch’ and ‘masculine’ Michelle Obama to pageant-ready Melania Trump
- The cartoon showed Michelle Obama and Donald Trump’s wife Melania
- Mrs Obama appeared muscular and had a bulge in the groin area
- Meanwhile Mrs Trump looked ready for a beauty pageant in a pink gown
- Artist Ben Garrison tweeted: ‘First Lady will be great again! #Trump2016′
- Dozens of people condemned the drawing as ‘racist and misogynistic’
A cartoonist has been accused of racism after he portrayed Michelle Obama as masculine and butch next to a pageant-ready Melania Trump in a controversial drawing.
The cartoon – which has been branded ‘racist and misogynistic’ – shows a muscular Mrs Obama wearing a green dress with a bulge in the groin area.
Stood next to her is a feminine, smiling Melania Trump in a pink dress and holding a Trump sign.
The artist Ben Garrison tweeted the picture on Friday with the caption: ‘#InTrumpsAmerica The #FirstLady will be Great Again! #Trump2016.’

Trump is a fucking asshole. The women who find that kind of man admirable are in denial.
May 22nd, 2016 at 11:08 am
This kind of insult to OTW women is and has always been okay with white america.
May 22nd, 2016 at 11:09 am
Michelle does Zen Lill know you are back up? I can’t wait to hear her take on this election.
May 22nd, 2016 at 11:09 am
I see the bitch blog is back up.
May 22nd, 2016 at 11:10 am
I guess if we wait long enough(18 months our wishes can come true.
May 22nd, 2016 at 11:12 am
Fuck you Maury#4 and the horse you rode in on. Some men believe that women have an equal right to voice their opinions.
May 22nd, 2016 at 1:49 pm
This white woman doesn’t agree with how OTW women are treated. I’m voting Hilary
May 22nd, 2016 at 5:55 pm
Wd Latinos for the most part see Trump for the racist he is. The republican party is mainly for white men. They only accept white women and OTWs to get enough votes to win elections.
Make our country great again is whiteboy speak for put us back on top.
May 22nd, 2016 at 6:19 pm
Why would any woman find another reason to give another man a chance at being POTUS? Isn’t it about time a woman has a chance. Hilary is certainly as qualified as any man who has held the job before her. So to say the only reason women should vote for her is ridiculous.
A woman as equally qualified as a man has thrown her hat into the ring. It is time that all women stand up and be counted. Party and Politics be damned. How many times have we as women trusted one of those 44 men to have our best interest at heart. Too many to count, so here they come before us asking us again.
When will we be wise enough to say NO? This time when I ask, I mean us white women. It seems that the OTW women have made up their minds to support Hilary. Ironic, it will take OTW women to put a white woman in office.
So be it, but she will have this white woman’s vote too.
May 22nd, 2016 at 6:57 pm
Maury, you and your ilk are the reason the republican party has Trump. An idiot to serve idiots.
May 22nd, 2016 at 6:59 pm
Welcome back Michelle, I look forward to the blog airing the bull we hear from the republican party.

Japan is most nervous about your Donald Trump. What his selection says about America is scary.
May 23rd, 2016 at 4:19 am
The Girlz of Russia are happy to see that you are back Michelle.
May 23rd, 2016 at 4:26 am
I too find it difficult to understand why so many white women support Trump. As a latina, I am more interested in what the country offers me as a latina citizen. If I can not enjoy the benefits of quiet enjoyment as an American, then what dose it matter if the national debt is lowered?
White women should ask what is America doing to equalize the situation between white men and them. They seem to be content with being second at the privilege of “entitlement” table. Thus they couldn’t care less about what we as OTWs suffer because they are white.
May 23rd, 2016 at 4:29 am
I am a new citizen to America. I have voted republican for all of the 6 years I have been a citizen. Mainly because my husband has suggested it. But this time I will say I am voting republican but I will be voting for Mrs. Hilary Clinton.
May 23rd, 2016 at 4:33 am
Michelle I am ethiopian. I have been here for more almost 11 years. We work hard to make money and to support our family. I pay taxes and I try to be good person. Why are we being singled out to persecute? Has America always been so bigoted?
Why do the whites feel that they alone are this country?
May 23rd, 2016 at 4:37 am
Michelle, l’Argentine vous accueille en arrière. Vous avez été très raté.
May 23rd, 2016 at 4:49 am
Michelle, I am Dutch. I became an american citizen June 17, 2003. We live in a gerrymandered republican district. When I first became a citizen I voted republican because I thought that was the party that protected us from the violent minorities. In the first presidential election, I voted for Bush, then McCain.
I have since made friends that are not white. I can see the difference it has upon them. I am not blind. Yet, many of the people who helped me get going in this country continue to act as if they are not aware of the different way non whites in this country are treated.
I have a thick accent, yet I almost never are asked where I come from, but many of my non white girlfriends who have been citizens since birth are asked all the time that question. I can get jobs with less education and less skills than they can.
I work as a secretary in an architectural firm. It is obvious that their is discrimination in the work place of America, but as long as white America benefits from that situation, it will hardly be acknowledged much less corrected.
May 23rd, 2016 at 4:50 am
What does OTW mean?
May 23rd, 2016 at 4:51 am
Michelle, Argentina le da la bienvenida de nuevo. Usted fue muy perdido. Hablamos español aquí no francés.
May 23rd, 2016 at 4:53 am
Dash#19, OTW means O.ther T.han W.hite. I have seldon seen it used outside of Michelle’s blog.
May 23rd, 2016 at 4:53 am
Dasha, OTW means Other Than White.
May 23rd, 2016 at 4:57 am
Eva-14,
I agree with you. If one can not enjoy the basic freedom to move around in their own country without being harassed by the police because of the color of their skins, why should the economy or anything else be more important?
We as OTWs have a more immediate priority to demand from our presidential candidates. That would be to be treated as equals with our white citizens.
May 23rd, 2016 at 5:00 am
In japan, women do not expect to be called upon to lead a nation. America seems to feel that way in their hearts while portraying a different attitude to the world. I have always thought of you americans as hypocrites and liars.

I was born here and I am as american as the any citizen of America. I have brothers in the military and My family has always been loyal to our country. Just because we are Arabic doesn’t mean we don’t love our country. I agree with Mable#23 and Eva#14 how can we focus on the condition of the country when the condition of our existence in it is a state of racial bias and attack?
May 23rd, 2016 at 5:17 am
Nothing in your country will change as long as the white have a majority at your polls. They care little about anyone but themselves. The OTW in your country are tolerated because they can serve in your military and be servants for their children.
Russia will one day crush the hypocrites if China doesn’t poison you all with their tainted products first.
May 23rd, 2016 at 5:19 am
The country has been divided along racial lines by the democrats. We republicans feel that we must take the reins again and steer this country back to its great past.
May 23rd, 2016 at 5:26 am
I am a latino american who passes for white. I can tell you that racial profiling and hatred is practiced among white america as if it is a rite of passage. They teach their children they are better because of the color of their skins and wink at each other while they insist that no such racial inequality exists.
I cringe when I hear how they feel about my fellow latinos. I work in a large law firm and it hasn’t changed for the 21 years I have worked here. Actually it has gotten worst. They hated the “black gigaboo” Obama. NOw their animosity is directed towards Hilary.
She has this latino vote.

Russia would be a third world country if not for your nukes. Putin has turned that shit pile into his personal backyard. Fix your own shit before you start on my country.

Michelle, welcome back. I hope this time you will be more fair in your critique of men.
May 23rd, 2016 at 5:37 am

It’s almost 11PM here on Guam, but it is never too late for the Girlz of Guam to welcome you back Michelle. No blog since has come close to your level of commitment to women around the globe.

So where is Howie and Al. I’m looking forward to Alien chronicles and caustic remarks by Al. Oh and can racist, misogynistic George be far behind.
May 23rd, 2016 at 6:19 am
Dustin#35, I refuse to be bated. I will let Mr. Trump do my talking for me when he becomes the 45th President of these United States of America.
May 23rd, 2016 at 6:20 am
George,wp, you wish.
May 23rd, 2016 at 6:42 am
It is taken for granted in white america that it is okay to denigrate OTW women.
