Only Checking In….Will Respond More Later Today
Posted by Michelle Moquin on February 3rd, 2009
Good morning.
I am having a slumber party with my dear friend Cat at the Hotel Drisco here in San Francisco. I don’t want to be rude and make her wait as I type away on my computer writing my blog so I am going to sign off, head out to breakfast and check back with all of you later.
Hi Sally, Robert, all the Anonymous commentators: Great to hear from all of you. As I said I will check back later.
Hi Liu: My first thought when I read your comment is that this is just one branch in Anonz’s life of many. If he should read this, I trust that he will know what to do in order to avoid this plight that will lead to death. So thank you. At this point in time I will wait and do nothing.
4:14 PM
I have read all of your comments and I have to say that I am quite shocked by many of them. Oh ye have so little faith in me and the powers that be. Thankfully, I am no longer thin-skinned as I used to be. I listen to my gut and tell my emotion to go take a hike. Maybe some of you should heed my words. I have been an inspiration to many of you….my blog a place where support and compassion is freely given. I ask for nothing back except a little faith….and the moment that I need us girls to stick together you are stabbing me in the back and threatening to shut me out and my blog down….calling me compassionless, unsupportive, jealous, crazy…..need I go on? How disappointed I am. I really thought that we had something going here…but I see we have a ways to go.
You all are siding against me for a guy!! The one time that some guy comes along that you all have the hots for, you desert me without a glance back. Oh I have supported you time and time again. I have written about the plight of many of you…And now?….Girls we do have a long way to go.
To those that did not question me, I thank you for giving me the benefit of the doubt…for supporting me and waiting for me to respond further before harshly judging me. Although I recognize and appreciate the support, it is not needed. For I will always continue to be who I am, make the decisions I make, and come to the conclusions that I arrive at by thinking logically and not emotionally.
So…to ease all of you out there: Obviously you did not get it. THIS IS NOT ANONZ’S DESTINY. This is not how he will end his life. This is just another Anonz on a parallel plane, a parallel world, living out a different destiny. If you don’t know what a parallel plane is, than look it up.
Simple as that. ANONZ WILL NOT DIE ON JULY 23, 2009. And even it this was his life….let me ask you something: If you knew when and where you were going to die, how would you avoid your death? Simple….You would avoid being in the area where you would be killed on the day that you knew you were going to die and you would tell death to ‘fuck off’. So all of you getting so worked up, I think Anonz would be smart enough to come to this same conclusion on his own should he have read my blog.
Peeps: My advice: React with a little less emotion, add a dose of logic, and you’ll save yourself a ton of unnecessary stress.
I’m outta here.
Gratefully your blog host,
michelle

HOW TO RUN INJURY FREE
Many people I know love to run, but hate how much it hurts afterward. I recently heard about a unique approach that offers a solution. Called ChiRunning, it blends the internal power of Tai Chi with the aerobic benefits of running. ChiRunning is a technique that emphasizes proper form, core strength and relaxation, enabling you to run efficiently, safely and injury free, moving with grace and fluidity.
TAI CHI + RUNNING = CHIRUNNING
The ChiRunning technique was developed by running coach and ultramarathoner Danny Dreyer as a solution to his own vexing knee pain, which flared up during runs and left him feeling achy and exhausted afterward. He incorporated the practice of Tai Chi into his running and was thrilled to discover that he not only could run without pain, but that his runs left him feeling renewed and energized.
I’ve written about Tai Chi before, of course, but let’s just review how it can pertain to running. It’s an ancient Chinese martial arts practice that uses the power of your mind to harness chi (“energy”) from the body’s center (the core muscle group, which includes lower back and abdominal muscles). According to the principles of Tai Chi, any type of movement, such as running or walking, can draw its strength from the core muscles, not from the legs and arms. Tai Chi helps the flow of chi by teaching the practitioner to maintain a body that is well-aligned, yet relaxed.
GRAVITY PROPELS YOU
Focusing on core muscles for ChiRunning lets runners overcome the two major forces that typically work against them — the force of gravity and the force of the road coming at them. It’s a natural way to run, Dreyer said. Leaning forward reduces, and in fact nearly eliminates, the braking motion of your feet as they hit the ground.
Dreyer said to imagine that your spine is strong — the source of great power — and your arms and legs are loose and light. By maintaining strong posture and relaxing the rest of your body while you run, more energy can flow from your core throughout your body. Since you aren’t using the legs for propulsion, ChiRunning can reduce or eliminate most of the overuse injuries associated with running, including shin splints, hamstring injury, and hip and knee problems, and it reduces pounding so there are no impact (joint) injuries, said Dreyer. Moreover, because your body is not overworked or pounded from the run, recovery time is much quicker, leaving you feeling more energized after your run.
THE CHIRUNNING TECHNIQUE
The first step to ChiRunning is learning how to hold a tall, elongated posture while you run, allowing your structural alignment to support your body weight, not your legs. Stabilize your posture by “leveling” your pelvis (consciously lift up the front) while you run. To know how this feels, stand up tall and place your hand on your lower abdomen with your thumb in your belly button and your fingers resting across your lower abdomen. Now, shorten the distance between your thumb and fingers by pulling up on your pubic bone.
Once you have this posture working for you, fall slightly forward, keeping your posture line straight. Picture your spine as a straight arrow that begins at your ankles and ends at the top of your head.
Holding both the posture and slight forward tilt, begin to run. Bend your knees. Lean forward at the ankles, rather than at the waist, to avoid putting unwanted pressure on your back and knees. Keep your hips, shoulders and ankles in a straight line.
Let gravity work with momentum to propel you. Proper ChiRunning form involves a balancing act, explained Dreyer. You’re not leaning too far forward or too far back — just allow gravity to pull you along. With each step, as your heels lift off of the ground, your legs will swing to the rear and your feet will plant underneath you, rather than in front of you.
Relax your arms, legs and everything else. Use your core muscles to maintain your structure and hold your torso straight. Envision your core muscles bringing the rest of your body, including your joints, muscles, arms and legs, along for the ride. Always keep your shoulders low and relaxed.
Quiet your mind. Concentrate on leaning forward, using your core to move you, bringing your focus back to this whenever you begin to strain or your thoughts to wander. This helps maintain proper form.
Breathe. Even, relaxed breathing will give you power and help you stay relaxed throughout your run.
CHIWALKING WORKS TOO
You can also try ChiWalking, by the way. The technique for this integrates Tai Chi and the proper biomechanics of walking — good posture, loose joints, engaging core muscles and relaxing the arms and legs. When you try ChiWalking, “slow it down, be mindful and relaxed, and try to perfect your stride,” said Dreyer. He likens ChiRunning and ChiWalking to other mindful practices such as yoga and Pilates, in which the focus is on technique, not on short-term goals such as running faster, going farther or losing weight. “The pleasant side effect may be that you will get in shape and lose unwanted weight,” said Dreyer.

Michelle are you CRAZY? We will never forgive you if you let Anonz die. You have the power to save him and you are content to leave it to providence. The “Girlz” of Neveda are NOT pleased.

Michelle, get a clue. This is Anonz’s life at stake. You will lose a lot of readers if you allow this to happen. I for one cannot believe what I just read. You can not take a few minutes to decide what is necessary in this case.

Texans are not to be f**ked with. Do something about Anonz. If you are not particularly concerned about him, think of Zen Lill. You are allowing one the death of one of your Girlz. What kind of commander are you? Remember the Alamo!

I’m a black woman who has seen and been the victim of many crude white men’s advances. This is a gentleman and a true romantic. He has contributed to the advancement of your blog and the improvement of this country. What does a man have to do to get your support?

Oh, I get it. You need your party time so let Anonz help himself. Let’s hope he reads this and learns your double standard.

I read your blog at my peril. I love the romance between Zen Lill and Anonz. I gives me hope that there is a chance for me to find true love. I know one day I will be forced into a marriage, but Zen Lill and Anonz give me hope. Please save this man.

You are killing the greatest romance story on the internet. Are you crazy? What about your friendship with Zen Lill? Are you jealous of her potential happiness? If Anonz dies because of your callousness I will never read your blog again.

I have been a read since the beginning. I think Howie was right all along. You are a cyborg. What other explanation can explain this inhuman reaction to the fate of a man who has been so gallant. My friends called me at work and told me to read your blog because they know that I read it before I have my morning coffee. You were so late this morning I had to leave for work before I could.
This is the worst! I as so disappointed with you. You hope he reads Liu’s comment. That’s the best you can do while you entertain your best friend. I hope you treat her better than you have Zen Lill.

Surely Michelle, you can do better by Anonz.
Zen Lill speak up. Talk to Madaline. She will save Anonz. This is your blog too. Why allow Michelle to kill it for the rest of us.

The one good man has to die because you have to visit with you best girl. I will be visiting another blog “sister.” I read this blog every day because of Zen Lill and Anonz. They are the best thing on the net. True romance, innocent, hot, and continuing.

What do you have against Anonz? Why are you so callous? You have Doug. Zen Lill and the rest of us have Anonz. She has dibs, but we have seconds. The Girlz of Rhode Island will never forgive you.

Ladies of the blog, please stand down and resume a Zen state!
Lui’s versiuon of what will happen isn’t until July 23, 2009, that is 5 months from now.
I don’t need to defend the commander but I will this time for the reason I just mentioned.
I am assuming/hoping Anonz will tune in and take precautions, however, if he does not, do you not think I would not beg, (borrow, steal…!) to get Madaline and Mischa to handle this? I know Anonz, the sweet pea, will be pissed as hell if I asked for that before he handles it his way, but you know what, I’m willing to risk his wrath. I don’t want him to die, period, end of convo.
I must say though that after a year of communication with the man, I do not need an American movie named ‘He’s just not that into you’ to tell me it’s likely we’ll not meet, especially if he tells Mischa, Maddie and myself to mind our own regarding this matter. I’m thinking there will always be something, a cause, politics, face repairs, etc…that will keep him from a face to face, that revelation just occured to me after Joey’s pointed ZL Q&A the other day. I may be wrong but just bc we admire an d care about the well being of the other, that does not mean it’ll translate into a real life anything…and bc my life is how it is, I am actually Zen with however it is meant to play out.
Please don’t be so willing to throw Mischa the commmander under the bus for one moment of perceived lack of compassion. I know here well enough to know that that’s simply not true. And besides, she said she’d be back, bet she’s enjoyiong her brekkie about as much as I enjoyed mine, oh wait, I did not eat after reading Lui’s proclamation, I left for the gym slightly nauseated and now I’m starving, so like Mischa…I will be back…
…in the meantime, simmah down : )
Luv, Zen Lill

Say it isn’t so Michelle. Practice the love you speak so eloquently of. Peace without compassion is not sustainable.
Tell Madaline to save or at least alert Anonz.

What is it? You can’t take criticism. I have been at this for almost 30 minutes trying to get in. You won’t get away with this unscathed. If Anonz dies your blog will follow. Who will want to read the hypocrisy of a woman who pretends compassion until it interferes with her good time.

Are you serious. “if he reads this” you can certainly do better than that. I’m a psychiatrist who started reading you blog because I am writhing a book on who women choose as their role models. You are a paradox.
While you inspire women to be more involved in the affairs that effect their daily lives. You seem oblivious to a priority that you would have advised them to take seriously.

February 3rd, 2009 at 11:37 am
Ladies, please!
The last time I checked Anonz was part of the problem. He is part of that in crowd that has caused the collapse of the country’s financial system. So what if he has a gift for exciting a woman. He is trying to get into the panties of ZL. He is just another romeo trying to get laid.
When he passes another war mongering romeo will appear.
Byron
February 3rd, 2009 at 11:48 am
What a waste. You women are wasting time on a issue that is frivolous. The country is in the mist of a media propaganda blitz to under mind the efforts of the President to solve our economic ,health, and energy woes and you are concerned about the romance between ZL and some macho rich guy playing at war with the toys and people his money can buy.
Greg

Mugs here are poised to be smashed unless you do something to save Anonz. This is not like you Michelle. Have you been replaced by a cyborg?
Howie, where are you when we need you.
Al where is your sense of fair play? Are you in space so you no longer care.
Madaline?
Zen Lil?
Is there no one who cares about this good man?l
February 3rd, 2009 at 12:12 pm
The facts are a nigger loving white man has set out to avenge a little nigger whore who got herself killed for being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
So this fool tries to change the path of progress by interfering in a process that should have occurred in South Africa when the white man was in charge. If history serves as a clue, then the Sudan will go the way of Zimbabwe if the niggers are allowed to prevail in Darfur.
Kill’em all and let progress take it course Africa will be better for it.
Buck

It is obvious that Anonz is a man with a death wish. He should know that his is a failed mission from the start. Everybody is trying to kill him. He needs to find a rock and crawl under it for a few years.
Women if Zen Lill hasn’t made a plea for her ardent suitor what are you crying for. Leave faith to itself. She has moved on so should youl

You have been wonderful. But it seems that you followers are in unison on this one. I have to say that i am for saving Anonz too. Sure there are other problems in the world too. But this is a life worth saving. How many heros can this world afford to lose.
I am an arab woman. I don’t believe that Anonz is trying to kill those criminals because they are arabs. He is defending the honor and memory of Nia and the lives of those left behind that she gave her short life for. If you can not find it in your heart to help Anonz, then do it for those that Nia left behind.

Girls, how quickly you abandon ship. How about some faith in Michelle. It is so easy to support someone when we agree with an obvious decision. This is the test. Here is a decision that she may have more information about that we do. Give her the benefit of the doubt.
Where are the real Girlz? Those that support their “Commander.”

FDA helped unleash salmonella-laced peanuts on public
Do you know why the FDA is in charge of keeping America’s food supply safe?
Because no other nation would have them.
That’s the thought I’m left with after learning… and this was no big surprise… that the FDA played a larger role than we thought in allowing a salmonella outbreak to sweep through the nation, sickening hundreds and possibly killing 8 people.
I told you a couple weeks ago there would be more to this story.
By now you know that the salmonella outbreak has been tied to Peanut Corp.’s peanut processing facility in Georgia. I was surprised that our normally-bungling FDA was able to identify the source so quickly. Now I know why.
It turns out that the FDA knew for nine months that there were unsanitary practices going on at this facility. Nine months!
You see, Peanut Corp. tried to ship some peanuts into Canada back in April 2008. The shipment was rejected for having a “filthy, putrid or decomposed substance,” and ended up in the FDA’s possession.
They never tested it. After some back and forth with Peanut Corp., the FDA decided it had some serious concerns about the adequacy of the company’s testing practices. It destroyed the shipment… and that was it.
No follow up. No testing of the rejected food. No asking Peanut Corp. to stop selling products until it got conditions at its plant back under control.
The FDA did what it does best. It got out of the way. It let a company that wasn’t producing food suitable for Canadians keep selling to Americans.
And the story isn’t over. It seems like every day the number of sick increases, and a new batch of products is recalled. Meanwhile, the FDA wants us to believe they’re on top of the problem. They’re more than on top of the problem – they’re party to blame for it.
As I’ve been telling you for years, don’t count on food conglomerates or the FDA to look out for your health and safety. Buy locally and grow your own food when you can. Folks who do those two things always seem to come out of these public health messes just fine.

Hey…I’m a girlZ and I’m here.
I think there is more being read into Mischa’s one liner than necessary at this point.
I never said I was ‘out’ or ‘in’ re: Anonz in my above comment, I just see him as a man too busy for one person of significance, if I’m wrong I’m sure I’ll be put on notice for it by the man himself : ) as I said, I’m just Zen and what happens will happen, if I am capable or have a say in preventing him from hurting himself then I will…
In the meantime, Mischa is not mean, just standing back, we have months before this occurs people…and to all you men who think you know more or have an opinion about Anonz’s actions or my pants and his, aaahhh I won’t comment, your stereotype throwing guys wouldn’t listen anyway. & you’re just jealous of a beautiful thing ; )

I guess we as women do have a long way to go. Is it any wonder men think that they can throw a Sarah Palin at us and we will so stupid as to accept her merely because she was a woman.
You have been trying to inspire us to think for ourselves and we let our emotions (for a man) cause us to doubt the sincerity of your cause.
