To Be Human Is To Be…

Posted by Michelle Moquin on April 29th, 2009

The more that I learn about humans, the more I find it ironic that the word ‘humanist’ or ‘humanitarian’ or even the word ‘humane’ contains the word ‘human’. The definition of these words stress the potential value and goodness of human beings, emphasizing common human needs and seeking solely rational ways of solving human problems. One who seeks to promote human welfare.  These words evoke compassion, kindness, understanding, forgiving, warmheartedness, etc.  Yet…it seems to me that to be ‘human’ is to be capable of the most heinous crimes in nature.

Interesting huh? Thoughts? Blog me.

Zen Lill:  I remember that you speaking about that. I don’t know if you actually perused the no-limits website but they do have a section on tips for negotiating your salary. I have yet to read it myself but I wanted to give a heads up to all the women readers out there. So thanks for bringing that up.

Also, I’m happy that you are back to blogging!

Al:  So, what’s up? What’s up is you make me laugh.  Your comments, like the range of my topics, are just as amazing.  Thank you for the humor this morning.  So, as far as me knowing…I think it would be much more fun if you just revealed how I know.  I would like to hear you say it…I mean since you do know – right?  Ah Al….and since you are now saying ‘goodbye forever‘ (I just love that word – so romantic), again, I only wish you good health.

Gratefully your blog host,

Hi Mischa, I mentioned being a humanist (rather than feminist) in my blog entry yesterday…yes it would seem to invoke thoughts of (in any given sitch) ‘what would I do coming from a humanist place’ (‘wwjd’ if you’re Catholic or Christian) a place of kindness, compassion, et al…well, I would say to Al, I’m so sorry you’re illin’ and getting no love from our health care system either.
No relief from pain, physical/emotional or otherwise = frustration and when you’re in that space you probably want to lash out at someone, anyone, I’m glad you are comfortable picking me. I don’t mind and I won’t defend myself against your charges either. If you think I’m vain, I’m vain. And if I never cease to amaze you (for whatever the reason), well…life itself never ceases to amaze me.
Parting is such sweet sorrow, good-bye forever, Al.
BTW, I’m ok with plastic surgery and when and if I get tired of my ageing (name a body part) I will do whatever I want/need/see fit to do, so far so good though, I like my fine lines and the other parts are good with me, too : )

    Luv, Zen Lill

  2. Zen Lill Says:

Forgot, today I wrote ‘I’m not Zen, I’m a wuss’ and believe it or not it has nothing to do with what Al said about me : ) I wrote it yesterday and edited today. Again, Al, good-bye forever. You’re right, Mischa, that statement has a romantic quality to it, I like it in a drama queenish kind of way. – ZL

  3. Al Says:

Michelle, Forever can be relatively short, However, I am forbidden to discuss this any deeper.

I do know that my mind has been manipulated seriously in a malicious manner from the start. THIS IS NO FUCKING JOKE, I am not a Guinea pig and I refuse to be the subject of somebody’s practical joke. You have no idea how this prank has affected my life.

You wish me good health, yet you continue to be an instrument in destroying what little health I have. We both know how you know I was seeking medical treatment. This is Florida, I could seek ’til the cows come home and not find medical treatment because it does not exist for people in my financial situation. If you want health here one must ones-self.

My first step is to acknowledge that I have been toyed with since day one.

I am on to the game that y’all have used in your attempt to completely destroy my life.

Ahhh Michelle, you are quite the camelian and you know precisely what I am talking about.

What I did to deserve this, I may never know, although I do know how I was selected. Do not play stupid with me, as you know exactly what I mean. I cannot believe you would be a party to this. I hope you got a good laugh. For taunting a disabled person there can be no excuse. Believe me when I tell you, I will have the last lsugh, I have already gotten angry, now I shall focus on getting equal. Sir my ass.

    Regards,
    Al

  4. Al Says:

Michelle: I have just spoken to the person who feeds you information about me. I am forbidden to refer to this persons idenity. But said person was the only one who knew that I would be seeking medical help. Are you trying to test my loyalties? You know very well who this is, so why are you so interested in having me reveal who this is, when you already know. And again, this is not fun, nor is this A FUCKING JOKE and I am not commenting to humor you. My life is at stake here (not that this would make any difference to you) and all you can say is how funny this is. Unlike yourself, I wasn’t born with a silver spoon in my mouth and I live in poverty and squaler. I have seen dozens of deaths happen and life is cheap here. This is going off track, but I had to tell you that not every american is a princess like yourself. The people I know are all concerned with surving through the day and seeing tommorow, their main concerns are eating and having shelter. they are not concerned with highschool reunions and which sports car is in vogue. I will see you on your way down.
