So…you love to shop? Think being a mystery shopper might just be right up your alley? Think again.
Mystery shoppers. Victims are told they’ve been selected to participate in a store security or customer service operation. The letter often includes a check, which hooks them into the payment forwarding scam (see below). Here’s a useful article about mystery shopping — what’s legit and what scams to watch out for. BUTEYKO BREATHING TECHNIQUE IMPROVES ASTHMA
Breathing should be the most ordinary of physical tasks since we do it about 20,000 times each day. But for the many millions of Americans who have asthma and other breathing disorders, this ordinary act can be a challenge. A few years ago I wrote about a book called Reversing Asthma (see Daily Health News, January 4, 2005) that describes one effective natural breathing technique — and now here’s another, called the Buteyko Method. Developed decades ago by a Russian doctor, Buteyko is popular among people with asthma in Australia, United Kingdom and Russia but has been virtually unknown in this country until quite recently. A study in Thorax in 2003 and another in Journal of Asthma in 2000 found Buteyko can reduce reliance on bronchodilators and the need for corticosteroids in asthma patients.
BUTEYKO THEORY ON BREATHING
The basic theory underlying the Buteyko Method is that a dysfunctional breathing pattern evokes symptoms of asthma and is in fact one of the root causes of the constriction of the airways. Buteyko practitioners believe that many people with asthma actually over-breathe by taking in air too rapidly or through their mouth all the time, but only notice it when it becomes uncontrolled, during an attack. People with asthma typically breathe 12 to 14 liters of air per minute, compared with the normal intake of four to six liters. The body is designed to fully oxygenate itself via normal breathing — over-breathing (the same as hyperventilation) results in abnormally low levels of carbon dioxide (CO2).
You may think of CO2 as the “waste” exhaled from the lungs, but CO2 is crucial for helping regulate many bodily functions including the blood pH, which affects release of oxygen into the tissues. In an attempt to reduce the intake of excess air from over-breathing and to preserve CO2, the body narrows the airways and produces excess airway mucus, which, along with inflammation and swelling, is characteristic of asthma. In people with asthma, breathing stressors such as perfume, pollution or emotional upset may trigger even more rapid breathing or gasping for air, thus further decreasing CO2.
BUTEYKO BASICS
I spoke with Carol Baglia, RRT, CBP, (www.correctbreathing.com) who is a registered respiratory therapist, certified in the Buteyko Breathing Method. The Buteyko method uses personal instruction and exercises to teach people with asthma a new way to breathe, thereby improving the balance between their oxygen and CO2. Students learn to inhale and exhale through their nose only, because nasal breathing serves as a natural way to control the amount of air allowed in — Baglia calls this the “volume control.” The measure of success for people learning Buteyko is a “control pause” (the amount of time you can comfortably hold your breath, starting at the end of a normal exhalation) of about one minute, says Baglia.
BUTEYKO HELPS OTHER BREATHING PROBLEMS TOO
The Buteyko Method also works well for many people who suffer from sleep apnea, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), panic attacks and the many other conditions that can make it hard to breathe easily. People with sleep apnea over-breathe while asleep, causing CO2 loss that soon overwhelms the body, which could be why sufferers stop breathing altogether — it’s an attempt to regain balance. But having reached the opposite outer limit, the sleeper then gasps for air and another round of over-breathing and breath-holding begins. Baglia explains that in such cases the respiratory control center in the back of the brain has ceased to function properly and must be retrained. Rigorous practice of the Buteyko exercises over a period of weeks enables people to bring the control center back into proper functioning, and from then on they are able to breathe correctly in sleep as well as when awake.
Not only do the clinical trials of Buteyko show a vast reduction in asthma medication use and symptoms, but also a significant improvement in quality of life and a sense of optimism about the future as people became less afraid of their asthma. While there are only a handful of Buteyko trainers in the US, training can be done over the phone — it does not require face-to-face interaction. If you are interested in learning the method and don’t have access to a trainer, it is possible to purchase a home-study kit on-line for under $100 that comes with personal e-mail and telephone support with a trainer who is certified in the technique (http://www.buteykoworks.com). While medical insurance won’t cover this, people who have flexible spending accounts may be able to receive reimbursement for the purchase.

My sweet man you are always thinking. In the old days before the advent of entrepreneurial Ginza, your guess was probably true. But today it has a different meaning.
I worked in Tokyo as a hostess for 7 years. I worked in a very prestigious Ginza club. I chose to work in a Ginza club as opposed to a general hostess club because Ginza clubs explicitly do not provide sex.
Ginza clubs are places a man who has become financially wealthy goes to to launch his coming out party. It is akin to the debutant party launched to introduce a woman to upper society.
In Japan it is called “iki.” It means I am not only rich but I have class. They go to a Ginza to spend obscene amounts of money on stuff that would cost a fraction of what is charged at a Ginza club. It shows that money means nothing to them because they have so much of it.
I made ten to forty thousand yen a night in my hay days. I was and am still a very beautiful blond. Blonds were everywhere in those days. I suspect it is still true today. I spent the time to learn the ways of the Geisha. I had studied the Japanese male psyche before I went. I learned about their penchant for very young girls.
Japanese men are used to being absolute masters of their families at home. They love being ordered about(with decorum limitations) in the club atmosphere. I combined the sassiness of an independent woman with the manner of a spoiled immature young lady into one of the best paying gigs in Japan. I was pulling in huge amounts of untaxed money without ever being touched by a patron of the club.
There was a french girl that always topped my earnings by more than double. I was of course, envious of her success as were the others. She was legendary in how much money she was making. The girls often did things like put glue in her shampoo, or glass in her food.
She was forced to get a place of her own. She needed someone to watch her back so she befriended me. After about a year of showing her that I could be trusted, she told me her secret for making so much money.
She said that she would remove her panty and discretely open her legs at different times and degrees so that a particular gentleman sitting with her could see more and more of her pussy. The degree of his generosity would determine how much of her parted lips he could see. “Looking into eternity” meant the viewer was looking into the sweet wet cave of a woman’s pussy. The price to get there was very expensive.
I enjoyed the money and the power of playing that game once I mastered it because the gentleman could look but he couldn’t touch. “iki” meant that once he had looked into her eternity, she was off limits to him physically forever. Hence he kept coming back for the only thrill he could ever get from her.
The seriously enriching trick was to make him think that his presence and power of his desire made your pussy produce that pearl of wetness between a woman’s legs that says “take me now. ” Now he could feel that they both equally shared in the bliss of desire for each other as well as the agony that they both knew that it could never be.
I thought it gave an interesting Japanese interpretation to unrequited love, or perhaps desire in this case.

Obama is congratulating Guam on it 65th anniversary.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++
Rear Adm. Biesel was visibly moved by the privilege of delivering the President’s letter to Guam, shaking off chills as he prepared to read. Obama’s letter recounted the U.S. invasion of Japan-occupied Guam, congratulated Guam on the 65th anniversary of its liberation, and even celebrated Pacific Island culture.
Guam News Factor has requested a copy of the President’s letter from the Camacho Administration and will post it at GuamNewsFactor.com as soon as we receive it.
Obama grew up in Honolulu and attended schools in Jakarta during his formative years. In his letter to Guam today, Obama reflected fondly on the warmth and hospitality of the Pacific Island cultures that he was immersed in as a youngster and high school student.
Since the Democratic Presidential Primary campaign last year, Obama has shown many signs that Guam is beaming on his radar, and the people of Guam have consistently reciprocated his interest. He was the only Presidential candidate to open a campaign office in Hagatna in 2008. He also ran local campaign advertisements and came out in support of Guam’s quest for War Reparations.
Those actions, followed by consistent demonstrations that he is not leaving Guam out of the picture when it comes to embracing its membership in the American political family, have been more than enough to win local favor.
On May 20th, 2008, Pacific News Center reported:
Congresswoman Madeleine Bordallo has officially announced her endorsement of Senator Barack Obama for President of the United States.
In a release from the Obama campaign, the Congresswoman and coveted superdelegate says Obama offers “the leadership needed to address the challenges Guam and our nation will face in the coming years.”
The freshman Senator has pledged to help ensure the passage of the World War II Loyalty Recognition Act. Obama won Guam’s caucus by seven votes earlier this month.

The RNC released this memo. Steele has been promoting opposition to Obama based on his personal jealousies and anger that Obama, not him, is the center of the conversation. “promoting sensible alternatives that address health care costs and preserve quality” What would these be? Not one alternative has been offered other than to continue with the status quo. They are relying on the people’s stupidity. CBS reported early today the the majority of Americans do not want the healthcare law to pass. Nothing could be farther than the truth. Gallup poll results for July 14th — A majority of Americans (56%) favor Congress” passing a major healthcare reform bill this year. When asked to choose, Americans say controlling costs (52%) is a more important goal of reform than expanding coverage to nearly all Americans (42%). They must be reading Steele’s talking points.

I received this from “Organizing for America.
Last week, Republican Senator Jim DeMint made it pretty clear why the opponents of health care reform are fighting so hard. As he told a special interest attack group, “If we’re able to stop Obama on this, it will be his Waterloo. It will break him.” Here’s how the President responded:
Think about that. This isn’t about me. This isn’t about politics. This is about a health care system that is breaking America’s families, breaking America’s businesses and breaking America’s economy. And we can’t afford the politics of delay and defeat when it comes to health care. Not this time, not now. There are too many lives and livelihoods at stake.
With Congress only days away from finalizing their plans for reform, it’s time to stand up with the President and fight back against this disastrous brand of old-style politics. So we need as many people as possible to publicly support the President’s principles for health care reform and call on Congress to act.
Before the first full votes in Congress, we’ll publish the signatures in newspaper ads across the nation, to make sure your voice is heard.
Watch President Obama’s full response, then add your name in support of reform. Or if you’ve already signed, please forward this message to every one of your friends and neighbors so they can join you.

“The Republican Party knows we have the best health care system in the world,” the memo declares. “The Republican Party also knows it is a system in need of reform because it is costing our families and our businesses too much.”
How can it be the best health care system in the world if it costs too much?
The problem with the Republican’s statement is that it’s incorrect on it’s face. We DON’T have the worlds best health care system That’s the bloody point. what a bunch of bald-faced LIARS!

Thanks for the post. You left out this part.
————————————-
The President is more dedicated than ever to passing health care reform that satisfies the three requirements he’s been talking about for months: Health care reform must reduce costs, guarantee choice — including the choice of a strong public insurance option — and ensure all Americans have quality, affordable health care.
If we do not reform our broken health care system this year, we will only shackle future generations with spiraling costs and deteriorating care. The cost of inaction is simply more than this country can afford.
But the special interests who profit from the status quo won’t go down without a fight. The ads, the smears, and the attacks — targeting both President Obama and members of Congress who support reform — will only get worse. So it’s crucial that we show huge backing before Congress finalizes their plans this month.
Stand with President Obama on health care reform:

Thanks for standing up for change.

Anonz,
It is interesting that you posted a poem the exact same time we discovered this poem on an asteroid in the Lanid belt.
==-===-=-==-==-=-=-====-==-=-=-=-===-
In the morning–you know,
just before you’re awake–
that moment between
waking and sleeping–
I feel you beside me.
I can feel your hand arousing me.
Exciting as it is,
you could be touching me anywhere,
it would feel just as beautiful.
And then — I woke up.
Think of me, there, with you,
wherever you are,
whatever you are doing,
Think of me, there, with you.
Every time I see you, I want you.
Even if you just accidently brush against me,
I want to be inside of you.
Sometimes, I can hardly stand it.
I don’t know what you want.
I don’t know what you are looking for.
I know, I started this.
I asked you, to be my Princess.
But what do you want?

When are we going to talk about the fire that broke out in Vice President Cheney’s office last year?
Remember that? It was reported at the time file cabinets were destroyed. Terrible accident, eh? At the time i was furious because was clear then what was up, wasn’t it? Come on. The part that really pissed me off, excuse my French, was that the Vice Presidential office is in a historic building and wonderful hardwood floors were destroyed.

Nice picture Michelle, but I need to see some body. As the saying goes, If you got it, flaunt it.
Your male fans and it seems a lot of your female fans want to see the host with the most.
What do we have to do to get a picture? Get that man of yours to snap one. If he thinks it is okay, it must be okay.

It seems that some power has restricted the best view of the longest solar eclipse this century to Guam. The rest of the planet will be affected by climate restrictions to prevent a good look.
It is rumored that the alien worshipers of these Gods will follow the solar eclipse and use it to enter undetected for reasons of their own.

BIG NEWS: the Senate just voted 58-41 to strip the unneeded F-22 jets TrueMajority members have opposed out of the Defense Authorization bill!1
After fighting for a sensible Pentagon budget for 7 years, today common sense finally won out. This big, bipartisan victory came despite the millions of dollars weapons lobbyists have spent waging a war against change, because of your emails, phone calls and signatures. For the first time, the whole country saw Congress say “we’re going to stop building that weapon, even though the defense industry says they want it.”
But while this win is a crucial first step, the journey towards a safe and sane future is far from over. Tomorrow, the House Appropriations Committee holds a crucial vote on whether to follow the Senate’s lead and cut the F-22, or defy the President, Pentagon leaders and common sense by continuing to spend millions on a plane we don’t need.2
Our new ad targeting the members most tempted to trade weapons contracts for campaign cash starts airing in a few hours – chip in to keep the momentum rolling.
https://secure.truemajority.org/o/2/p/7002/tma_default?donate_page_KEY=124
The Senate vote marks the first time Congress has said ‘no’ to the weapons builders and their army of lobbyists in years.3 And it wouldn’t have happened without the strong leadership of President Obama and Secretary of Defense Gates, as well as an unusual coalition of law-makers including Senator McCain.
But even that coalition might not be enough in the House. Representative John Murtha (D-PA) took an eye-popping $300,000 from weapons builders last year.4 And he’s already promised to keep fighting for the F-22 no matter what the Senate, the President or the Air Force want,5 and other budget writers like Rep. C.W. Bill Young (R-FL) are poised to follow along.
We can’t let Congressmen who are already bought and sold by the weapons contractors and their lobbyists control this process. Chip in $35 or more right now to help us keep winning victories for our soldiers, our security and for common sense.

I apologize for using TAO. I am new at posting. But while I am doing it again. Let me say that this was a second attempt by that group of aliens to approach earth.
They tried to enter this solar system at exactly the same time 15 years ago. They were stopped then too from reaching the planet earth.
That space ship was hit at exactly the same time this one was. It also broke up and then crashed into the planet Jupiter 1994.
We don’t know what their intentions were towards earth then or now. Maybe we will find out in 15 years. It may be that that is the time it takes for a ship to arrive from where it came.

WHAT YOU DON’T KNOW ABOUT ARUGULA AND OTHER SALAD STARS
Peppery arugula… crisp endive and romaine… crunchy green peppers. Stars of restaurant menus, these vegetables can turn an ordinary salad into an extraordinary treat. They are power-packed with surprising nutritional benefits, according to Leo Galland, MD, author of The Fat Resistance Diet, including the ability to help fight the effects of aging, preserve vision and build bone strength.
Dr. Galland notes that salads are an excellent example of the high nutrient density foods he uses in his “fat resistant” diet program. “The vegetables in garden salad have a high ratio of nutrition to calories — I believe eating foods with high nutrient density is the key to healthy weight loss.” Here are some of the best…
Arugula
The taste of arugula is distinctively sharp with an earthy aroma. Arugula is not only an excellent source of bioflavonoids, but it also contains vitamin A, which helps build immunity… potassium, important for muscles… and calcium, with 32 mg of calcium per one cup. Plus the body absorbs calcium in arugula (along with kale and broccoli) more readily than from milk. For those cutting back on milk-based dairy products, this makes arugula a very nice vegan source of calcium.
Endive
Endive is widely used in Northern Europe, especially Belgium, Holland and France. It is a potent source of vitamin K, helping to maintain bone strength, as well as vitamin A. Endive packs a big appetite-satisfying crunch for super-low calories… there are only eight calories in one cup of chopped endive! This amount of Belgium endive also contains 1.6 grams of fiber.
Romaine Lettuce
In spite of its light taste, fresh romaine lettuce is a big source of antioxidants, which are higher after consumption of fresh lettuce than after consumption of packaged lettuce. Romaine is also a good source of vitamin A, folate and vitamin K.
Green, Red and Orange Peppers
Sliced bell peppers are an appetizing addition to any garden salad and enhance your body’s levels of anti-inflammatory carotenoids. With bell peppers, the color is key to the special nutrients found in each. For example, green bell peppers are an excellent source of the carotenoids lutein and zeaxanthin, which help to preserve vision. Sweet orange peppers are also high in zeaxanthin and reduce the risk of macular degeneration, the leading cause of vision loss in older Americans. Red bell peppers are very high in the carotenoids beta carotene and beta cryptoxanthin. These antioxidants can help protect the body against free radical damage and fight the effects of aging.
EASY TIPS ON MAKING THE BEST SALAD
When shopping for salad, freshness comes first. Select vegetables that are vibrant, brightly colored, firm and crisp. When buying romaine lettuce and arugula, look for deep green leaves that appear fresh-picked. Skip anything that is wilted or waterlogged. Buy fresh greens, rather than the packaged products and plan to eat as quickly as possible — they taste better and are more nutritious, too. For Belgium endive, look for leaves that are firm, mostly white with green-tinged edges. Don’t buy endive that has browned or softened. Same idea for bell peppers — these should be very firm to the touch when you buy them, with no soft areas.
All vegetables should be washed carefully, even fresh-picked organic ones.
Here is another surprising tip: To get the most nutrition from salad, don’t use fat-free dressing, Dr. Galland told me. “You have to consume a bit of healthy oil with vegetables to absorb carotenoids, so I recommend eating salad with dressing made with olive oil, for example.”
For creative ways to enjoy salad, including a free one-day meal plan and recipes, visit Dr. Galland’s Web site at http://www.fatresistancediet.com/trial/.
