‘It’s so easy to give something up you don’t have’

Posted by michellemoquin on October 4th, 2008

‘It’s so easy to give something up you don’t have’ – That was once said by Anonz a bit ago. I have had the same experience lately when speaking to a friend who was so willing to stick with the republican party even with the risk that his daughter might lose the rights over her body. His answer? ‘It doesn’t matter we won’t be here; we’ll live overseas.’   Oh okay, so because you’re leaving you could care less about the rest of us here stuck with a repug administration? Then why the fuck vote Republican, supporting your party, just to say, ‘fuck ‘em and leave? You’re really saying ‘fuck you’ to the rest of us. ‘I’ll vote the repubs in, and you deal with them.’ Gee thanks.

Then he went into a spiel about the ERA and really what has it done for women….’blah blah blah’. And I came back with. ‘Yeah, well, the ERA shouldn’t have to exist in the first place. Men and women should be treated the same and have the same rights, period. Women, aren’t second class citizens.’ He came back with , ‘Hey you’re preaching to the choir.’  Uh…’I don’t think so. Your actions are speaking quite louder than your words.’

Then he went on to casually say that Roe v Wade ‘most likely’ wouldn’t ever be turned over. He laughed saying, ‘Look if it happens,  just abstain from having sex and within a week  you’ll get your rights back.’  (hello!) Oh, so now you’re asking us to give up our pleasure too?!  First we lose the rights over our body because of a man, then we are told by a man, that the solution is to abstain from something that gives us pleasure in order to get back out rights.  Now why didn’t I think of that?

We all know that men think with the little head and not the big head most of the time.  Why do you think this world is so fucked up? The pussy has so much power, it’s just too bad the collective pussy doesn’t realize that without us, there would be no man…not continuation of the species. Now there is power…a power worth the swinging dick to worry about. Because to man, the continuation of his species…really his race…is everything.

Politics aside, I have enjoyed this person. He really is no different from the majority of the men out there. But coming from a white man, the most privileged men in this world, it is so easy to joke about something that will never affect him. I have to repeat, ‘It’s so easy to give something up you don’t have.’ You don’t have the worry of losing your rights to choose; losing the rights over your body. You don’t have the worry of whether you are getting paid the same salary as another, or if you’re making less just because you’re a man. You don’t have the worry of…How easily you can give away women’s rights because you as a man have never had any of your rights taken away.

You as a man are so privileged and the mere thought of anyone even suggesting that you would not have the rights over your body would send you through the roof. Hell, what if men were told, ‘There is a new law.  Your wife owns you. You can no longer be free with that thing you swing.  From now on, your pleasure prodder is under lock and key.’ You know, like a chastity belt for men. (Some women once forced to wear these!) Fair? There is a new law. ‘Men are going to get paid less money than women for the same job.’ No reason…just because you are a man. Fair? Now how easy is it to give up something that you don’t have?

Hey ZL:  I was surprised and delighted that you went to mm’s site and signed the letter. Now we’ll just have to wait and see.

Hi Anonz: Usually in games, those who choose not to play the game do not get effected by the game, regardless of the rules or in this case, the lack of rules and regulations. In this game of life, everyone is affected whether they chose to play or not.

And in reality, if we are all players by default, just because we are humans living on this planet with a right to vote, there is rarely a politician in either party that doesn’t have his hand out. Could the public, the lowly players, really have voted in an administration that wasn’t corrupt in some way? Hating the game is one thing but what real choice do the lowly players have when the choices of the games to play are corrupt to begin with?  You know…what is the lesser of two evils?  When Clinton was in office, were you not also making bills?  Will Obama be tempted too because he will have no support otherwise? Only the very rich and connected seem to be the ones that can afford to run for office and if they somehow make it there otherwise, will they too not be tempted to take advantage of the stupid people? What position do we play except to make it easy for those who want power and wealth to gain it. Without the lowly players, there would be no game. All that would be left is a handful of bills fighting amongst themselves for what? Money and power wouldn’t mean much then would it?

Lastly, okay I get that people don’t police themselves. But is there ever a  point that one says, ‘Okay, maybe I created the game…maybe I’m a big player and there are no rules, but I’ve taken enough’? I know you’re thinking, ‘If anyone is going to have all of the control, all of the money, all of the power…it might as well be me.’  I’m so looking forward to seeing exactly what your plans are with your acquired abundance.

Hey Bob:  No one says that you should ‘feel sorry for the greedy bastards that supported the republicans to make a profit at their fellow citizens expense.” What about the ones that didn’t support the greedy republicans? Not everyone voted Republican.

Hi Shelly:  Palin ‘aint’ speakin’ to me. :)

Hello Girls in Space: Sorry I missed your comment the other day. Always good to hear your stories.  Maybe it is time for my ride up there.

It takes courage to spend time in honest reflection on one’s place in society and evolution. It takes courage to try to reshape one’s existence on a continual basis and challenge the continence of living life. Honesty in self analysis is a personal rationale as when you stare into the abyss, the abyss stares back.

Shall we play do you recognize the Repug? & ‘we’ won’t be moving anywhere…though ‘I’ think Ubud is sounding lovely.

Shelli, Palin isn’t talking to me either, in fact, I have signed a petition to get her to withdraw, she’s an embarrassment to the women I know, we’re not all stupid here, contrary to your beliefs.

Click through on Zen Lill if you like, ‘sending Zen thoughts your way…’ and I think it’s important we all get and stay Zen right now.

Paging anonz, hey babes, since you won’t do it yourself, I did it…go back to May 30 and read very carefully and kiss the f**king ground you walk on – oh or first you should kiss the ground Maddie/Liang/Mischa and I walk on thank you very much, you should do this Zen gesture in serious thanks and gratitude that your even here amongst us. You keep lip servicing how you’d do it all anyways blah blah and blah and guess what, you wouldn’t be doing shit or getting richer bc it’s very difficult to do all that when you’re DEAD. Wake the hell up, will you?

As for your elaborations about fleecings and games I (or anyone ‘poor’ – and we’re not – not exactly) agreed to play or not play, you know it’s one thing supplying valuable insider info and then it’s another to just keep telling us how we got fucked, are being fucked and will continue to get fucked and that we’ll have McCain on top of it all – without – supplying any valuable info on either how to fix the sitch or helping to ensure that Obama (and even he’ll be fleeced and fucked as well now thanks to all the ‘game players’) gets in. If you can supply info that would indeed help us all – please spill it – otherwise thank the gods, aliens/girlZ and me/Mischa that your ass is even alive, and you can repeat that thank you mantra every time you laugh your way to the bank at all of our ‘tax payers’ expense, maybe it’ll be the humbling lesson you need in life.

Stated in annoyance with your attitude lately – Lady Lilly

Sorry, sweet pea, but you’ve gotten arrogant and needed a fleecing yourself.

  4. Peter Says:

When one listens to Fox(fixed) News one knows that it is merely lies and propaganda for the republican party. The scary part is all the whites in america about a third who know that the channel is full of lies. They don’t tune in for the news. They tune in to see how good the lies and propaganda are.

They are so disgusting that they don’t care about the lies. They just hope that there will be a lot of gullible people, who think that if it is news it must be true, who will be fooled by the lies and vote for their republican party. I can understand why Anonz could give a shit about these assholes.

I know that you Michelle keep reminding Anonz that there are people who didn’t vote for the republicans but I think Anonz sees those people as abettors. People who don’t object when the bigots float their racist propaganda or who use their power to discriminate against OTWs are just as culpable as those who commit the crimes.

Look at the O.J. “trial.” Every white in america knows that this is pay back. Yet, they look the other way while the constitutional protections against unfair trials are shredded to convict him. I am white. But I say fuck-em Anonz.

    sir

Men like your friend who have so little concern for women are boys with tiny penises. They fear the competition with other men. They detest any system that gives women the right to choose. For good reason, no woman who choose rhythmless little winnie fucks.

They are no friends of OTWs. They are the ones that would shove any of their OTWs in ovens if the law gave them the privilege. These men are NOT friends of women. They don’t like women. It does not matter whether they are their mothers, sisters, daughters, or “best” friends, these creeps would sacrifice them in order to have free access to females.

Look at how nazi germany deteriorated into forcing women into being baby makers. The men sent their own daughters and mothers to those camps that forced good german women to fuck any man who wanted her for the fatherland.

America isn’t too far form that if the men thought for a moment they could get away with it. Why do you think white men hate black men so easily, the big dick myth explains it all. White men who are feel good about what they have between their legs are not intimidated.

Ladies when your man makes a overt or sly derogatory remark about a black man, he is speaking through his zipper. Next time he spouts off, tell him to zip up his pants.

  7. Spain Says:

America’s female pundits embarrass american women when they claim that Sarah Palim was not mindless in her performance during the debate.

Their constance reference to winning the “style” part of the debate delivery is itself moronic. It says that american women are as stupid as Europe thinks they are.

    Spain

  8. Spain Says:

Kathleen Parker is being eaten alive by the people she helped to dumb down with the constant babble about conservatism(american for it’s okay to be a bigot) and it’s benefits.

Now that the those dumb hicks that she pandered to are trying to eat her alive, it may be necessary for her to revise her evaluation of Palin to survive. She was correct when she said that if she was a man she would have been laughed off the ticket.

What it displays is that the republican party in America isn’t concerned with substance from their candidates only agreement to continue being against abortion, help for those that cannot afford health insurance, and leaving those doggone markets alone.

We in Europe send a shout out to you Anonz.

    Spain

  9. England Says:

How stupid are american women? What debate were they watching when these pundits say that Palin gave a good account of herself. Was the debate a beauty contest or was it a debate between two candidates for as the american people like to claim “the most powerful office in the world?”

If it was, then who the hell cares that she got points for style? What did she say when she wasn’t reading her cue cards that said that she even understood the questions?

American white women come off as just plain stupid. Palin has set the credibility of american white women back to where they were ten years ago. We European women don’t see them as colleagues. We see them as impediments to men the world over taking us seriously.

What are white men feeding them over there? If it were not for the leadership of asian, black and latino women, white women in America would still be considered chattel by law.

It was the civil rights legislation that paved the way for no fault divorce. Before that women in America were legally defined as chattel, something that a man basically owned once he married her. How many white women even knew that?

Most American women don’t even realize why white men hate blacks so much. They hate them because they have opened up the american privileges to all its people including the white women who they legally owned as chattel(an item of property other than real estate). White men hate the lost of their women as property.

    England
