Subserviency: Western vs Middle Eastern
Posted by Michelle Moquin on February 24th, 2010
Hi Josef: My pleasure. Sorry to hear you are no longer on your beloved Guam. I hope that where ever you are you are able to visit Guam and your family there.
Bob: Touché. Good observation.
Madaline: In the spirit of the ladies discussion, well and simply said Maddy. Thanks for the update on the little aliens.
Jorge and Careta: Your relationship is beautiful and rare indeed. You are blessed to have found each other and I wish you both continued happiness and mutual trust.
Konduz: What struck me the most from your comments, was your statements:
“But I assure you we are not white women. If we could affect a change in our situation via the vote. We would not do as white women in American do.”
“We would NOT quietly give our lives over to the our men. We would vote our interest. We would vote to give women at least equal representation on any counsel that decided the fate of our nation.”
“No Senate or Congressional or Presidential body would be exclusive or mostly male.”
How frustrated you and others must be with the way white women act when we have such freedoms here. How stupid we must look and are to those that don’t have the freedoms that we take for granted every day. How you can even respect us as women I don’t even know. What I do know is that what you say of how you would be, should you ever lead the privileged life that we lead, is true. How I wish that opportunity for you and all of the other women.
Women in general can be and are highly intelligent and amazing and it disturbs me so, that you and so many others are being held back from showing us all your true gifts…from being able to contribute to the fullest extent in your lives. Oh how the world is missing out.
When I look at the way women are subservient in both cultures, Western and the Middle Eastern, it is obvious that there are differences between the two. Western women are psychologically subservient, and women from the Middle East are thrown into subserviency through brutality.
Both use religion to force women into subserviency and subjugate them. The difference between the two cultures is how religion does it: In one you’ll go to hell, and in the other we’ll send you to hell. No need to tell you which one is which. The point being is that both are equally effective.
If you ask me, the more successful is subserviency that is used in the West. Behind closed doors it works and continues to work. That is proven by looking at the state of our country presently. When a woman is in a voting booth and she votes for men, even when knowing men are dogging her, and treating her less than an equal. Now that is control.
To control a woman psychologically, means you control her mind. And in my opinion, control of her mind is a more successful way to control than having control over her physically…with the mind free and thinking, if even only being able to express thoughts and desires and plans to her women friends surreptitiously. This is not to say that the physical abuse that happens daily to women is not a terrible atrocity. We all know that it is.
The Middle Eastern women know when they are being abused. Women who are abused by physical force know it – there is never a question. Some white women aren’t even aware of the abuse when it is psychological. Your statement, “Perhaps when the OTWs of America have won true equality they will drag white women kicking and screaming into total freedom with them”, tells a future reality and keeps playing over and over in my mind. How true that statement is.
In the Middle east, in my opinion, if it were not for the sheer strength and brutality of their men, the women there would rule. The men know this. They know the only power they have is the power of the hand. They know that their women support their women – that the sex sticks together. And should they ever be freed from the slavery that they endure daily, women would take over. They would support their women, as men in all cultures do. It will be a day of celebration and inspiration that I hope I will be able to witness.
When will white women learn this and be this way for each other?
Konduz, Shir Khan, Tarin Kowt, Nawzad: I am truly inspired by your strength and envious of your dedication and loyalty to the women in your life and country. How I hope it spreads like an infectious disease to the white women of the western world. I have more to say about the western women, but I will reserve it for another time.
I’m out of time…
Lastly, greed over a great story is surfacing from my ‘loyal’(?) readers. With all this back and forth about who owns what, that appears on my blog, let me reiterate that all material posted on my blog becomes the sole property of my blog. It seems that the republicans are making sure that their base is prepared not to accept anything that the President is trying to accomplish with Health Care. They are trashing the summit before it even gets started to the American people.

Your Seat At The Table
Dear Friend,
This Thursday, President Obama and House Republicans will gather for a much heralded “bipartisan healthcare summit.”
It remains to be seen if the White House is serious about trying to achieve a legitimate, bipartisan breakthrough on healthcare. Or if they are just looking to create the appearance of reasonableness before they try to shove their massively unpopular, 4,500 page, big-bureaucracy, high-tax, anti-freedom legislation down our throats.
We’ll know on Thursday.
It also remains to be seen if Republicans will come armed with their best ideas and invite the White House and Democrats to pass a series of smaller, bipartisan bills that the American people will support. Or if they will miss the opportunity to show “principled bipartisanship” (as I described it at CPAC on Saturday) and fall for the White House trap of portraying Republicans as “the party of no.”
Again, we’ll know on Thursday.
There is, however, one thing we do know about the summit.
The American people are not invited.

GIRLS AND WOMEN VULNERABLE TO KNEE INJURIES
There are many physiological and anatomical differences between men and women beyond the obvious ones — including, as it turns out, vulnerability to orthopedic injuries. It appears that how women are built leaves us — and our daughters, like my two soccer players — four times more likely to suffer knee injuries, especially to the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in the knee joint.
Although the ACL is the smallest ligament in the knee, the fact that it is part of the connective structure between the femur (thigh bone) and tibia (shin bone) makes it critical to stability. A torn ACL can be painful and often requires surgery, followed by four to six months of physical therapy to regain proper functioning and return to sports.
New research provides an improved understanding of how to protect yourself from the risk of injury — not to mention the resulting pain and cost for treatment.
RESEARCH TO DATE
Research a few years ago revealed one major cause of ACL injury in women — after a jump, as in basketball or volleyball, females tend to land with straighter legs than males do, which puts more pressure on the ACL.
Research also has shown that females often have an imbalance between the strength in their quadriceps muscles in the front of the thighs and the hamstring muscles in the back of the thighs. This alters knee functioning and may affect stability.
The newest study on female knees comes from the University of Michigan, Division of Kinesiology, adding a subtle but important additional clue to the ACL/female injury issue.
Researchers found that many women athletes maintain a knock-kneed position when landing after a jump. When I called orthopedic surgeon Jo A. Hannafin, MD, PhD, at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City to learn more, she told me that knock-knees come about for several reasons.
Some people (both male and female) are simply born this way — it is the anatomic alignment they were given. But often it is due to yet another muscle imbalance, this one between the inner (medial) and outer (lateral) thigh muscles. In this study, researchers determined that females — even those who are not knock-kneed — tend to activate the stronger outer thigh muscles in preparation for a landing.
Without equally strong inner thigh muscles to provide balance, the knees rotate even further inward, increasing the risk to the ACL. Playing primarily one sport year-round or repeating the same exercise routines makes injury even more likely — repetition of one activity builds only the muscles the particular sport requires, and may create a strength imbalance, says Dr. Hannafin. Cross training helps avoid this problem.
Not only jumping sports but any that involve torquing the knees — the twisting that is inherent in skiing, tennis or even ballroom dancing — puts pressure on the knee and increases risk of injury, says Dr. Hannafin. This makes it important for all active women to pay special attention to their knee positioning and muscle strength balance.
To find out if your inner and outer thigh muscles are balanced, Dr. Hannafin suggests doing a mini-squat on one leg (described below) — if the bent knee goes toward the other knee rather than remaining pointed out straight, it shows weakness of the inner thigh muscles and the muscles of the hip and buttock that rotate the knee outward.
PROTECT YOURSELF
Strengthening and balance training exercises to build up the muscles and paying close attention to how you jump, land and pivot can help you avoid such injury.
For example, focusing on trying to land with knees that are slightly bent, or decelerating before switching directions when you’re moving quickly (as in tennis) may help, according to a report by the Journal of Athletic Training. Here are some suggestions from Dr. Hannafin:
• Wear the right shoes. Key: Supportive shoes with a good, strong sole. Avoid flip-flops, sandals and fashion flats as these can aggravate problems in people who are flat-footed or who pronate excessively. Look for sandals with a built-in arch or use an arch support in your shoes.
• Stand straight. Pay attention to how you position your hips during all activities, including standing. You can get some sense of this by doing your exercises in front of a mirror, but if you are serious about sports, consider an assessment by a sports physical therapist.
• Strengthen hips. Strengthening hips also helps prevent injury. One way to do this is with hip abductions, says Francesco Gallaro, MSPT, CSCS, a certified strength and conditioning coach and physical therapist in Norwalk, Connecticut.
These also serve to strengthen gluteus muscles. Do two or three sets of eight to 12 reps of standing resisted hip abductions, using a rubber band. Kick one leg from the midline of your body to the side in a backward diagonal direction.
Note: Kick should be a smooth continuous motion. Try to complete the entire set without the foot touching the ground. Good hip strength prevents the knee from rolling inward into a knock-kneed position.
• Balance thigh muscles. To strengthen and balance the thigh muscles, Dr. Hannafin advises making a routine of the one-sided mini-squat mentioned earlier.
Keep the gluteus (the muscles of your buttocks) tight and pay close attention to activating muscles on both sides of the leg. To perform this exercise correctly, stand on one leg. Bending from the knee, lower your body down until your knee is bent to 45 degrees (you don’t have to go all the way to a sitting position for it to be effective). Raise yourself back up. Do two or three sets of 10 repetitions, each leg.
• Strengthen the hamstring (for the quad-hamstring imbalances mentioned earlier). Gallaro suggests the deadlift. Stand on one leg, bend your body forward at the waist so you are at a 90-degree angle. Raise yourself back up — do three sets of eight to 12 reps.
The leg not in contact with the floor should be straight and in proper alignment with your trunk. Try performing a set without letting your foot make contact with the ground. As you get stronger, you can do this exercise while holding weights.
• Perform leg strengtheners. Leg presses at the gym are also helpful — but with a strong caveat, says Dr. Hannafin. It’s important to maintain proper form, keeping your knees over your feet. Women tend to squeeze their knees together as they push against the platform –
this further strengthens and trains the outside of the quad to do the work, leaving the inner thigh muscles getting weaker. Try placing a small ball between your knees when you are on the leg press.
• Don’t ignore your core. Finally, Dr. Hannafin recommends core strengthening exercises. Having strong pelvic and lower abdominal muscles, interestingly, helps to protect your knees. Pilates is good for this, of course, as are assorted core-exercise programs that employ large exercise balls.

Proposal to change Guam to Guahan
Updated February 24, 2010 09:12:01
Guam’s Governor, Felix Camacho, would like to see Guam’s name changed to Guahan, which he says is a more indigenous spelling and pronunciation of the island.
The Governor is already using the name in his official correspondence and has asked government agencies to do the same. However, one local historian points out that Boan, Baham, Goam, and even Iguana, have all been recorded as names for Guam since the 1500s. ??

The republicans are all about fleecing the flock. First they scare the hell out of them, then they sell them a book that can save their dumb asses.
———————————————————————————
Dear Friend,
I’ve been working on the macro level to help move the country away from Obama’s disastrous economic policies.
But on an individual level, I think that a new book, Aftershock, provides important advice and guidance on how to cope with the coming events.
It’s a bit like building an ark to survive Noah’s flood!
Particularly because the coming economic troubles are likely to center around major inflation, there is a great deal each of us can do to prepare. . . and a steep price to pay for failing to do so.
To get a FREE copy of this book, Newsmax – and its CEO, Christopher Ruddy – will send you a copy. They simply ask that you just pay for shipping.
Scroll down, or Click Here, to claim your FREE copy of Aftershock.
Thanks,

Dear Reader,
If I alarmed you with the fearsome statements above . . . well, good.
I must have your attention. Now is not the time for complacency.
I just discovered a riveting (and alarming) book that predicts that there is no light at the end of the tunnel for our economy or your wealth – if you don’t act today.
The book is Aftershock: Protect Yourself and Profit in the Next Global Financial Meltdown.
This book is so important . . . so urgent . . . and so vital to your financial well-being . . . that I want you to have it as my gift.
If you went to purchase it online or in a bookstore, it could cost you as much as $28. But I want you to have it at . . .
No charge. And no strings attached.
The message in this book is so critical that I’m also filming an online broadcast with four very important people: Fox News analyst Dick Morris, Aftershock co-author Robert Wiedemer, former Libertarian vice presidential nominee Wayne Allyn Root, and international currency expert Sean Hyman.
We will be discussing the powerful revelations in Aftershock and the specific actions you can take to fortify your finances.
And that’s free, too!
But you must hurry. The first 5,000 copies were taken within hours. I contacted the publisher and ordered their remaining 8,000 books. I expect to run out of these quickly.
I’m limiting the attendance because I want only those who are taking this situation seriously and who are willing to become active participants to attend.
The timing could not be more crucial.
Having a false sense of hope is a fruitless endeavor right now. One that could put you in the poorhouse.
Do not fall victim to the mainstream media’s?trumped-up climate of economic optimism.
Disregard the government’s?24/7 propaganda machine.
And give no credence to the misleading?hype from Wall Street.
You may feel a bit confident after seeing the Dow surge as much as 60% . . . the Nasdaq 77% . . . and the S&P 65% since the March lows of last year . . .
Hopefully you’ve recovered some of the previously inconceivable losses your portfolio and retirement savings have suffered. But I assure you – you are not out of the woods.
The uptick in our stock markets is masking a deep and well-entrenched threat . . .
Aftershock predicts that the two largest bubbles, which have not even hit us yet, are just around the corner. And after the authors’ previous book predicted the four bubbles that just hit us – I’m not taking this warning lightly.
The next few years could decimate your wealth and that of most Americans if you don’t safeguard yourself now.
It could be very bad for most. Even more jobs will be lost. Houses will be abandoned. Strip malls will sit empty. Life savings will be eradicated.
But what if you could fight this upcoming crisis head-on?
What if you had a specific, step-by-step blueprint that could make you wealthier than ever . . . multiplying your nest egg many times over – even in the face of overwhelming adversity?
Look at this moment as if you have been given an early warning for an impending disaster . . .
This is a turning point.

Of course when you for your “free copy” you get dinged for $4.95 for shipping and handling and you get added to a financial report group that is initially free but since you will have to give them your credit card number, they will be able to bill it when the free subscription period runs out.
The scam would be shameful, but as far as I’m concerned it couldn’t happen to a nicer bunch of bigots.

The last time I checked women were equal in America. If they choose to support the candidate of their choice regardless of sex, who are you or anyone else to compline?
Maybe they see in the man something they don’t see in the woman candidate. If women ran candidates other than the ugly dyke bitches that I see on slates around the country maybe men would support them.

SNAP Sends Second Letter To Archbishop Demanding Public Exposure of Abusive Priests
Guam – The survivors network of abused priests is rejecting Archbishop Anthony Apuron’s statement on priestly abuse.
In that statement, the Archdiocese said no member of Guam’s clergy has ever been charged with or convicted of sexual abuse.
But the latest release from the group called SNAP accuse the Archbishop of being “disingenuous” and “minimizing” the issue.
Even though no charges have made against any priests, SNAP says accusations have been made by island residents who they claim to be in touch with.
It is the second letter in as many weeks from SNAP urging the Archbishop to publicly name the priests who are serving or have served on Guam who have been accused of sexual abuse.
To date, no one on Guam has publicly stepped forward to say they have been victimized. And no priests on island has ever been publicly accused of sexual misconduct.
Archdiocese Spokesman Deacon Jeff Barcinas told PNC News Tuesday that they did not receive SNAP’s latest letter until late Monday afternoon and they have not yet had a time to review it and respond.
However, Barcinas said that the Archdiocese is preparing another response but he could not say when it would be released.
The latest SNAP letter to the Archbishop is reprinted below:

Dear Archbishop Apuron,
We are dismayed and disturbed at your February 12, 2010 response to our heartfelt letter, asking for help for victims of sexual abuse in the Archdiocese.
Not only have you refused to take token steps of posting information about support group meetings and helplines for victims, but you went even further to marginalize and minimalize the problem of sexual abuse on Guam – and compound the pain of survivors – by claiming that since no cleric has been arrested for sexual abuse in your Archdiocese, then “no problem exists.”
The vast majority – more than 99 percent – of child molesting clerics are never arrested, in part because church officials successfully conceal crimes, destroy evidence, protect predators, deceive parishioners and ‘run out the clock’ until victims have no legal remedies. So the issue isn’t who has or hasn’t been arrested. The issue is: Who are the proven, admitted and credibly accused child molesting clerics who have or had access to Guam kids and why aren’t you telling parents who and where they are? Anything less is reckless, dangerous and against the Lenten traditions you claim to espouse.
You ask your faithful to fast and attend Mass. We ask you to make small steps to help the most vulnerable in your care. It’s the least you can do.
That is why we are asking you to hold an open and well-publicized meeting with victims and the faithful to address our concerns. We ask for a healing, supportive environment where people are free to ask you the “tough questions” that are necessary to keep kids safe. We also ask that you schedule the meeting at a time where a member of SNAP can attend, to offer support and safety for men and women addressing their abuse for the first time.
In addition, we would like to reiterate our requests from last week ~
We ask you to delay no longer and immediately post on the Archdiocesan website and parish printed and online materials:
– the names, whereabouts, work histories, and current status of predator clerics,
– information about SNAP and how victims on Guam can receive help and healing, and
– contact information for sex crimes law enforcement where survivors can go and report their abuse.
Survivors of sexual abuse on Guam carry a great deal of unnecessary pain. They live in fear and isolation. They suffer from shame – shame stemming from their abuse and shame at the fact that you have done nothing to ensure that what happened to them never happens to another child.
In the Lenten spirit, we believe that this is the least you can do to show your compassion, love and support for victims and the faithful.
We look forward to your response.
Sincerely,
Joelle Casteix

We, as protectors of our children have to stand up to this hypocrite and demand answers. We need to ask our elected representatives to get the authorities to take legal action. The arch bishop is quick to present himself to our politicians on matters that the church want to intervene regardless of USA’s constitutional issue of the separation of church and state.
Guam’s legislature went after a member of its own and forced him to resign because of an omission. They can and should be able to go after a man who by his silence is AIDING AND ABETTING crimes of child abuse by his on employees. These pedophiles wearing robes of respect need to the exposed.
Why is Guam looking the other way and allowing the creep to do as he pleases with our children? Who do we love more? Are we as parents selling our children to the devil for a place in heaven?
The destruction done by these priests is evident in the testimonies of adults who were abused by disgusting animals in robes preying on them rather than praying for them.
Are we as parents willing to allow this to continue to avoid offending the arch bishop for fear of excommunication? Do you really believe that Christ gives this anti-christ that power? I think not. Wake up people before you allow this anti christ to drag you and your immortal soul to the pits of hell where he obviously came from.

Lights To Remain On At Schools; Funds Found To Pay Power Bill
Guam – The Guam Department of Education paid its power bill Wednesday,
just in time to avoid getting the lights shut off.
DOE was in arrears by 1.3. million dollars. $1.1 for its monthly power bill for the islands 37 schools and DOE’s administrative offices and $200-thousand for its ongoing promissory payment to GPA.
The federal funds released over the weekend could not be used to pay the power bill so DOE had to wait on the release of funds from the Department of Administration and that happened late Wednesday afternoon.
But late Wednesday afternoon, School Superintendent Dr. Nerissa Udnerwood told PNC News that funds were released, the check to GPA was cut and the lights will stay on.

Thank you for your kind words. I am looking forward to you and Jorge hooking up. I must confess that I have not ventured out but twice since I have been with Jorge with other men. And that was a couple years ago.
I didn’t tell him about them because it isn’t necessary in our relationship. I have had several female partners in the last few years so if Jorge is too much for you to consider, I’m free -:). Of course, we believe in and practice absolute discretion.
i really admire what you do. Your articles are always relevant, and it is obvious that the women who read you respect and adore you.
I am just getting into the back issues. I continue to be amazed at the freedom you allow your bloggers to exercise on any topic that interest them.
Jorge said that he can’t take the S**t some are allowed to express, but I see it as what you intended it to be – an open forum for discussion and angst release.
If more people had a place they could go to to express their fears, malaise, anger, trepidation, racism, bigotry, anxiety and hatred there would be less war, rioting, murder, and assaults in the world.
I would rather hear the anger of a misfit than feel the released pit up violence of one. I have been on the other end of a psycho’s justification for violence. I know the hurt they can inflict. So when I say thank you for what you are doing, I mean it for deep within my being.

Guam – A new carrier is coming to Guam. Jin Air, a low-cost carrier and subsidiary of Korean Airlines, has received approval from the U.S. Department of Transportation to begin flights to the island. Beginning in April, Jin Air will utilize a 737 aircraft with 156 seats and conduct daily flights from Incheon to Guam.
Guam International Airport Authority Executive Manager Carlos Salas said, “We believe that their strategy is to pickup passengers who have lower budgets and can still fly on Jin Air and can still pay for hotel rooms and spend money all in all its good for Guam and we’re looking forward to it.”
Jin Air’s inaugural flight is tentatively scheduled for April 19. In the meantime, the airport is awaiting word from the USDOT on whether Continental Airlines’ application for Guam-Haneda flights will be approved to begin in October.

====================================================
How to Protect Your Money
from the “Obamunists”
Dear Fellow Conservative,
Despite recent setbacks, the free-market revolution unleashed by Ronald Reagan continues to make strides in country after country.
Unfortunately, those countries don’t include the United States.
Here, the trend is towards what has been dubbed “Obamunism,” which, if coined by one of his czars, was surely meant as a compliment. This same economic philosophy used to be known as Carternomics, described by Reagan as: “If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. If it stops moving, subsidize it.”
But back to the good news…
Surprisingly, the latest country to show signs of new economic freedom is, of all places, Cuba — where, according to the Washington Post, “The Cuban government, in its most dramatic reform since [Raul] Castro took over for his ailing older brother Fidel three years ago, is offering private farmers… the use of fallow state lands to grow crops — for a profit.”
In fact, it’s working so well, they’re even thinking about renaming “The Bay of Pigs” to “The Bay of Capitalist Pigs”… But I digress…
Even more surprisingly, the Post didn’t include some derogatory qualifier before the word “profits” in the sentence quoted above, perhaps having recently noticed the desirability of “profits” on account of the absence of such a concept from the Post’s balance sheet. It’s so bad over there, the Washington Post’s Facebook account was recently de-friended by the IRS Fan Page.
Maybe U.S. pharmaceutical companies should think about relocating to Cuba. Just being awarded Fidel Castro’s personal prescription benefit account would be worth a small fortune.
Of course, the Cubans don’t call what they’re doing “capitalism,” just as Obama doesn’t call what he’s doing “socialism” — and just as Ralph Nadar doesn’t call his hair “Bird’s Nestism,” Joe Biden’s doctor doesn’t call his condition “Diarrhea of the Mouth-ism,” Nancy Pelosi’s plastic surgeon doesn’t call her “his annuity,” and Arnold Schwarzenegger doesn’t call it, well, I couldn’t really understand what he said…
Instead, Raul Castro is calling it “the new Socialist model.” (If they were smart, they would focus on the newest Eastern European models — but enough about Charlie Sheen.) Which is almost as Orwellian as Barack Obama calling his proposed government takeover of one-sixth of the American economy as an attempt to “foster competition.”
And it’s not just communist countries like Cuba, China, and Vietnam, noticing the benefits of the free market. Even godless, European social welfare states are throwing off the shackles of socialism. Despite incessant claims that the “rest of the world hates us,” Germany just elected a center-right coalition that promised to slash taxes, entitlements, and regulatory burdens on businesses.
Every country in the world is becoming more like America, except America, which is becoming more like Finland.
But don’t move to Cuba yet! At least wait until Nancy Pelosi’s husband buys property there — then you know it will prosper. As Ronald Reagan said: You can always trust the American people. Sure, they make stupid mistakes now and then, but, if history is a guide, the backlash to the high tax/low growth policies of a Democratic House, Democratic Senate, and Democratic President should be spectacular. It’s currently scheduled for November 2012, with spring training beginning in November 2010 .
Then happy days will really be here again.
But in the meantime, what can we do to protect our money from the Obamunists?
Frankly, I don’t have the financial expertise to answer that. But fortunately, I know someone who does.
His name is Mark Skousen, Ph.D., editor of the investment newsletter Forecasts & Strategies — and he just might be the smartest financial advisor working today.
Skousen, after all, launched his career by predicting, during the 1980-82 recession — and to the derision of all the other so-called experts — that “Reaganomics will work.”
And that was just the start of his amazing 30-year — and counting — stretch of uncanny market forecasts. For instance:
• Just last March he called the exact bottom of the market, telling his subscribers that “stocks are a screaming buy.” In the four weeks following, the Dow soared a remarkable 24.5%. Then, in May, he predicted the Dow would hit 10,000 before the end of the year — which it did in October. ?
• In 2006 — more than two years before the financial meltdown — he warned subscribers that “we clearly are headed for fiscal disaster,” and showed them how to protect themselves. ?
• Just weeks before the NASDAQ collapsed in 2000, he warned his subscribers that tech stocks were dangerously overvalued. ?
• He told his subscribers in 1995 that the NASDAQ would double, and then double again — which is exactly what it did. ?
• He called the Gulf War of 1990 “a turning point for U.S. stocks” — and the Dow subsequently began a bull market that didn’t end for nearly ten years. ?
• And he issued a “sell everything” recommendation to his Forecasts & Strategies subscribers just 41 days before the stock market crash of 1987 — then told them to get fully invested again several weeks later, just in time for the recovery.
( He also guessed Al Gore’s weight and won a large stuffed animal from the top shelf… nothing to do with finance, but still, pretty impressive.)
What’s Mark Skousen’s secret? Suffice it to say that, as a brilliant free-market economist (he’s written 26 books on the topic), he knows more about the real workings of the financial markets than all of Obama’s advisors put together and multiplied by 100. (Which by my calculations, still comes out to… let’s see, yes: Zero.)
And here’s the best thing about Mark Skousen. He knows how to make you money — and keep more of it from the IRS, legally, than you ever thought possible — even while Obamunists are taking a wrecking ball to the U.S. economy.
Bottom line: The best investment advice I know of, bar none, can be found in Mark Skousen’s Forecasts & Strategies. Now more than ever, I urge you to give it a try.

Ann Coulter

Scare them and then fleece them. But as you said “couldn’t happen to a nicer bunch of racists.”
And to think I used to be one of those fleeced republicans.

Q: If I use a home-equity loan to pay business expenses, can I deduct the interest on it as business interest instead of mortgage interest?
A: Yes, provided that you can trace the loan proceeds directly to a business use. Doing so can have several advantages…
Business interest is deductible on an unlimited amount of home-equity borrowing. In addition, you can deduct mortgage interest on up to $100,000 of home-equity borrowing.
The business interest deduction is allowed under the alternative minimum tax (AMT), but the home-equity mortgage interest deduction isn’t, to the extent that it is not used to buy, build, or substantially improve your home.
Business interest expense reduces income from a proprietorship and thus self-employment taxes — and also reduces adjusted gross income (AGI), increasing other deductions with AGI-related limits. Mortgage interest doesn’t.

The jobs bill in congress is not working because the dems have no balls. They need to carry something trough regardless of the behavior of the republicans.

The real problem is that both parties are corrupt. The dems are partially corrupt and the republicans are totally owned by their masters big corporations.

We were appalled here in the UK to learn that your Supreme Court allowed your corporations to virtually buy any politician they wanted. It appears that at least 6 of that body has been purchased for a tidy sum.

Americans also know that the GOP will propose:
no abortion
“christian” -but not catholic -prayer in school (mandatory)
only christian cadets in miltiary academies
free torture everywhere and racism
and none of the above solves ANYTHING!!
Oh!! I forgot they will propose tax cuts for the richest rich and resurrection of Reagan:
those also are miserable failures

We Canadians laugh at the pretentious Americans. They like to claim they have the Greatest_____________ fill in the blank.
My advice: Just because your crooked politicians tell you you have the Greatest_______ fill in the blank, doesn’t mean it is true.
Open you eyes and mind and exercise a little common sense. You have shit for Health Care and even worst for banking.
Your Supreme Court has sold out to a particular political party and can be bought by any corporation willing to shell our a few extra coin.
That leaves you with one party that has not scruples and the other with no balls.
All of this seems to have been brought on by a few greedy whites who have motivated the the majority of the country’s whites to act in their own best interest rather than the country’s as a whole.

DZSP’s CEO talks to Guam Chamber of Commerce

Guam – The Guam Chamber of Commerce heard from President and CEO of DZSP 21 Wayne Cornell during its membership meeting today at the Marriott Resort in Tumon. Cornell not only spoke about the company, but emphasized DZSP’s partnership with the military and the Guam community as a whole.
He says his company employs over 800 people and continues to pay millions of dollars in taxes. He says this is just several ways DZSP contributes to the island, noting, “Our support for the military is base operations, so we take care of the utility systems on base and we take care of Apra Harbor, we deliver ordnance to the ships and we now provide material management and transportation assets to the Air Force.”
Cornell says in 2006, DZSP was a $48 million company. Last year, the company grew to be worth $85 million. He says his goal is for the company to become the Navy’s contractor of choice.
=========================
They follow the military and swallow up everything they think may be profitable in their wake. On Guam it may be our ancestral lands. We need to be more vigilant.

You couldn’t be more right about the state of this country. Elizabeth Warren, Chair of the Congressional oversight Panel Tarp, has been working to help with the republicans trying to defeat her efforts to protect the interest of the banks at every turn.

I am a practicing Mormon. I was shown a comment in your blog by a friend. It seems that you take delight in allowing your bloggers to demean our religious beliefs at will.
When our Lord returns to this earth for retribution, you will all learn the error of your ways.
We women have a place in this world, but it is not side by side your man. God gave man the cane of leadership. It is our duty to follow and to support our men.
I do so proudly.

How many times do you niggers, wets. slopes, and mud people have to be told this is our country. White men tamed and built this country. That is a irrefutable fact.
If you don’t like it, get the fuck out. Go back to your to where you came from.

Germany today is trying to move away from the stuff you are espousing George. We are all in this world together. Why not embrace the world’s differences?
Why allow a few greedy men to divide the human race for profit? You have been manipulated for profit. If you succeeded in ridding the world of all but us whites, then the next holocaust would involve ridding us of catholic, or some other difference between us for profit.
Hate, bigotry, racism and prejudice are but tools used to incite war and profit for those who own the military industrial complexes that supply the materials needed to wage war.

Hi Mischa, yes that same statement by Konduz struck me like a hammer and I remained preoccupied by it all last night…and today. Pychological ‘indoctrination’ is worst, thanks Linda for proving that point so nicely, good luck with your life, you and George may be able to get a discount on meds if you chip in, and right on, Hans.
Shir Khan, Konduz, Tarin Kowt, and Nawzad, thanks for extending me my lapsed moment and I’ll tell you this, I kept reading that book, the son of OBL wrote also, they must’ve extended some latitude bc he’s a male but what she could not or would not say, he did and even more between the lines so it’s all there…I should’ve held off commenting till I read further.
Howie and Al, so glad you felt some surge of energy, be awaiting more same time manana…and as far as being an angel and having a giant heart, thank you both for the compliments, they give me something to live up to : )
Hey Stacy, forgot to say yesterday…I always recommend to pals that tehy not get too attached to a man before seeing what’s under the hood bc it’s tough to want to drop a less endowed male at that point if you’ve convinced yourself you’re ‘in love’ – and I have my non-negotiables as far as looks go, I’m not overly attached to these specifics but I do dig my men men tall and beefcake-ish/nicely muscled and prefeably light eyed though I’ve slid a few others in that didn”t match that so why can’t they prefer petite/tall/long hair/etc…just curious why that made you annoyed? Soooo, anyway, I’m cutting a lot of latitude for myself when I banter with Anonz bc I also tell pals to never ever have more than 3 email exchanges without meeting a man you have ‘chemistry’ on-line with, well ha to that and in my face, eh?
Doug, the main dude : ) love the links yesterday and I have a few new fave shows now myself, thanks for being so bright and dry witted, I can picture you saying your statements right out loud and it just cracks me up!
Doug MD and Howie, such interesting info on Henrietta Lacks esp since Time mag just ran a feature article about living past 100 this week, no mention of her in an article I scanned though, will have to dig deeper…
Donna, yep so true about offices/men/women, when are we gonna get it??!
Lance, we all got lanced on that one…schiessa…
I know I’ll sound traitorous but I’m not so attached to being an American anymore, I see a lot of folly in believing any of the American ‘truths’ – and how do we undo the inculcation of educated women who believe in religions that so clearly leave them out of the loop? If they want to stay there what do you do without them barking about how Mischa (and probably me) should/will be going to hell bc we’re blasphemors?! How can I be delivered to hell when I don’t believe in the whole GOd/religious myth, let alone that place?? I believe in the collective comsciousness and I hope the universe delivers some enlightening messages to women here soon, bc we need to wake up ladies…
Luv, Zen Lill

Zen Lill: I am looking forward to tomorrow. I believe that the healing vibes will reach us again and give us a boost.
What you are doing for Al and I is very altruistic. One does not see to much of that in this society these days. People are usually selfish and greedy — only thinking about how they can profit or gain from any effort.
You and your ‘Yoga Kids’ are doing a beautiful thing. Not only is it beneficial to the receivers, but it is also great for the Karma of the senders. Much good will come your way for your selfless acts.
I am happy to have met you and many others on Michelle’s blog. All in all, it has been a good learning experience for me. Thank you.

GROWING DANGER IN OFF-LABEL USE OF DRUGS
If only we could assume that when a drug is prescribed by a doctor, there’s research showing it to be safe for that particular medical condition… but we can’t.
Doctors are allowed great freedom to use drugs and medical devices “off-label,” meaning for conditions that weren’t approved for by the FDA. This can be beneficial. Or not. In fact, just last week The Wall Street Journal reported on the latest version of a story that is happening all too often.
This time, a substance used to promote bone growth during spine surgery has been associated with life-threatening complications, most of which occurred with off-label use.
This situation may get even more common, as the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has recently drafted new guidelines that may further relax the requirements drug companies must adhere to in order to market their drugs for off-label indications.
Randall Stafford, MD, PhD, associate professor of medicine at Stanford University, is concerned enough about what this may mean to issue a call for public awareness and caution.
He recently published an editorial on the topic in the New England Journal of Medicine, so I called him to learn more about his concerns.
WHAT’S OKAY… WHAT’S NOT OKAY
Under the current FDA regulations, drug makers are not allowed to directly promote drugs for off-label use, but are allowed to distribute published literature to doctors, such as articles from medical journals about the off-label use of a drug.
Those articles are supposed to have been submitted for FDA review and the companies are supposed to be pursuing formal FDA approval for the new use… but (partially due to a lack of resources) the agency is notoriously lax in enforcing this requirement.
The new requirements would be only that the distributed articles come from a peer-reviewed medical journal not influenced by the company and contain no false or misleading information.
It’s not that the practice of off-label use for drugs is always dangerous — sometimes it isn’t, but sometimes it is. Dr. Stafford acknowledges that off-label prescribing “permits innovation in clinical practice, particularly when approved treatments have failed.
It also offers patients and physicians earlier access to potentially valuable medications and allows physicians to adopt new practices based on emerging evidence.”
His concern lies with the fact that all drugs can have what he calls “expected and unexpected risks, whether used for approved or unapproved clinical conditions.” While some off-label uses are well-studied, most are not, he told me.
WHO KNOWS THE DANGERS?
In his 2006 study of off-label prescribing of 160 common drugs published in the Archives of Internal Medicine, Dr. Stafford found that off-label use accounted for 21% of all prescriptions — fully 73% of these with little or no scientific support behind them.
Drugs approved for depression, schizophrenia and seizures were most likely to be used off-label for treatment of bipolar disorder, dementia and chronic pain, respectively.
Dr. Stafford notes that there is good supporting research for the off-label use of aspirin for heart disease prevention, for example.
But he says there are many more instances where drugs are prescribed off-label without such evidence… or even in the face of clear dangers.
For instance, he cites the growing use of atypical antipsychotic medications such as quetiapine (Seroquel) for dementia — there is limited evidence of benefit and known risk of harm, including death, when this drug is used by the elderly, said Dr. Stafford.
Alarmingly, the fact that some physicians rely solely on drug companies for education about new drugs and information on new uses for old ones means they may not even realize they are prescribing a drug that hasn’t been FDA-approved for that condition.
Dr. Stafford voices concern that reducing restrictions on off-label promotion increases the likelihood that “the distinction between on-label and off-label uses will continue to be blurred for many physicians.”
WHAT TO DO
What can you do? Be careful and develop a healthy skepticism. Let your doctor know of your concerns on this topic.
If a new medication is prescribed to you for an off-label use, ask him/her to provide safety and efficacy information for your particular medical condition. You can do your own research, too — well-respected independent organizations and government agencies have developed guidelines that help define the best drugs to use and most publish consumer-oriented materials.
MedlinePlus is a useful resource for this purpose. The more you know about the medications you take, the better.

George, It has been a long time since we have heard your bigotry on the blog.
Your ancestors must have come from somewhere unless you are native American Indian. If you dislike the way this country has turned out, you have the smae option — Leave. Go back where you came from.
This Nation is a melting pot which has gotten its personality from the many different ethnic groups that have come here to live the American dream and brought some of their culture along with them, just as your ancestors did.
It is the variety of people who came here for various reasons that give America its spice. All cultures have brought a variety of foods, music and culture along with them. This makes America a diverse Nation.
That is history. Like it or not.
