Sign Here Mr. President

I hope that all of you got to witness this historical moment of President Obama signing a comprehensive health care reform bill into law. It was such a wonderful moment to know that we accomplished something that is going to affect so many people for so many generations. I felt so proud of our president and our country.
I found this article where Obama stated almost three years ago that he wanted to be held accountable for getting health care done. I’d say he reached his goal. Thanks to holding a vision for all of us to be inspired by and follow, and a lot of hard work, it is done.
On March 24, 2007 — nearly three years ago to this day — then-candidate Obama attended a health care forum in Las Vegas sponsored by the Center for American Progress Action Fund and SEIU. At the forum, Obama delivered this pledge:
OBAMA: In addition to those basic principles, what I think is most important is we recognize that every four years we hear somebody’s got a health care plan. Every four years, somebody trots out a white paper — they post it on the web. But the question we have to challenge ourselves: Do we have the political will and the sense of urgency to actually get it done? I want to be held accountable for getting it done. I will judge my first term as president based on the fact on whether we have delivered the kind of health care that every American deserves and that our system can afford.
The health care forum in 2007 served as a kind of epiphany for Obama. Time’s Karen Tumulty, who moderated the forum, wrote that Obama “was noticeably uncomfortable when pressed for details” about his health care plan. As Ezra Klein wrote at the time, “Compared to John Edwards, who had a detailed plan, and Hillary Clinton, whose fluency with the subject is unmatched among the contenders, he seemed uncertain and adrift.” Obama himself acknowledged that the health care forum revealed, “I am not a great candidate now, but I am going to figure out how to be a great candidate.” Now, by delivering on the basic health care principles he pronounced three years ago, Obama is already earning praise as “one of America’s finest presidents.”
Readers: And just how many pens did he use? Well, in case you didn’t know, Obama uses one pen for each letter in his name. And as you saw after the signing, each pen is gifted out, and I would suspect he keeps one for himself too.
Comments? You know what to do.
Lastly, greed over a great story is surfacing from my ‘loyal’(?) readers. With all this back and forth about who owns what, that appears on my blog, let me reiterate that all material posted on my blog becomes the sole property of my blog. If you want to reserve any proprietary rights don’t post it to my blog. I will prominently display this caveat on my blog from now on to remind those who may have forgotten this notice.
Gratefully your blog host,

I want to know who are the people out there that want the insurance companies to be able to continue to use pre-existing conditions to prevent from issuing coverage? Who are the people who want to have to have limits on their insurance coverage?
Who are the people against having their kids be able to stay on their policy until 26? Who are the people who want have insurance companies be able to tell them that after paying premiums for years when they really need the coverage that they are not covered for that illness?
Who are these people?
Frankly those people are the racists who do not want to have a black man succeed by doing something 43 white men have not been able to do. And as a woman I would like to add that they would not have had this healthcare bill without Nance Pelosi as the first woman Speaker of the House.
The first woman Speaker has become one of the greatest if not THE greatest Speaker the House has ever had. If you self-centered white men would quit trying to preserve the benefits of this country for themselves, we as the people of America could truly make this country great.
It should be obvious to even dumb white men that they cannot make this country great. They have only succeeded in dividing the country against itself. Their leadership, if we can call it that, has been a single minded mission to preserve the status quo for white men.
They have destroyed the environment, sold out the nation to other nations for a quick buck and they have transformed the control of the country from the people to corporations.
White men are the bane of this country.
