Happy Anniversary! The Blog Is 3-Years Old
Posted by Michelle Moquin on July 13th, 2010
I feel like every anniversary I say the same thing. So this year I’m just going to keep it simple and just say how much I am grateful to be here everyday. And grateful that you are too. I think my blog, and chitchatting with all of you on a daily basis, has made me a better person. So, thank you.
If I had to sum up the meaning of my blog, what I desire to inspire, in one word, I’d say that word would be HOPE. Is that trite? I’ll borrow it from Obama. (I’m sure he won’t mind:) Hey, I think he’s got it going. And in times like these, and really in any time, HOPE is always a good thing in my mind…and the more, the better. So I’ll leave it at that.
Happy Anniversary!
“3″ years…a good number…personally my favorite number, so I’ll take that as a good sign :)
Thanks for being here and choosing to spend your precious time with me.
Peace & Love…to all of you.
Lastly, greed over a great story is surfacing from my ‘loyal’(?) readers. With all this back and forth about who owns what, that appears on my blog, let me reiterate that If you want to reserve any proprietary rights don’t post it to my blog. I will prominently display this caveat on my blog from now on to remind those who may have forgotten this notice.
Gratefully your blog host,
michelle

Thank you for your work. I know that it has changed your world, as it has changed mine, and ours. I also am aware of the affect you have on so many throughout the world (and Universe).
Watching, and being a part of, this journey over the past three years has been a learning. I have seen new sides of you open to a new consciousness and awareness of action and knowledge. It is a pleasure to watch this take place. Keep up the great work!

Congratulations Michelle. The FDA’s 22 to 1 vote to keep Avanti on the market after tests show that it ia a medicine sold to prevent heart attacks with people who have diabetes when it actually CAUSES more heart attacks.
Obama needs to clean house. The FDA is full of bought and paid for members. The tests they based their vote on was done by Avanti.
How blatant can a bunch of crooks be.

Save on Tires
Eric Peters
There is one easy way to save money on car maintenance — tires. When it’s time to replace a vehicle’s tires, many people simply return to the dealer and buy the original brand of tires that came from the factory. That’s often expensive — and not necessary.
What you might not know: Prices for high-quality tires vary — tremendously. You can potentially save hundreds of dollars by buying the same general type of tire — such as all-season, high-performance, touring, etc. — but a different brand and/or model.
Just make sure that your new tires meet the min imum requirements for load (the weight the tire is designed to carry), heat and traction ratings recommended by the vehicle manufacturer.
Prices also can vary by season. High-performance summer tires, for instance, often go on sale in the fall. In addition, it is sometimes possible to realize tremendous savings by purchasing tires from online retailers, such as The Tire Rack (www.tirerack.com), where you also can read reviews of tire models by customers. Be sure to factor in the cost of shipping the tires, as well as the cost of having them mounted and balanced.
Helpful: Have your tires rotated regularly. A good rule of thumb is every 3,000 to 5,000 miles. People often forget that this basic service helps ensure that tires last as long as possible. Many tire shops do it for free if you buy the tires from them or have the tires mounted there.

Congratulations Michelle. I owe my new life to your blog. The legal age of consent in North Carolina is 16. Yeah, this is the bible-belt for you.
The sick old men make this the legal age of consent so that they can seduce minors without fear of the law. I am 26 and I can’t tell you how many times I was seduced my sick bastards who used their life’s experience to get over on me when I was a minor.
Your blog has empowered me to sue some of the bastards. The rest I will kill or maim. I am determined to get the justice that the tiny weenie white boy law won’t give me.
Mad as hell white WOMAN!

Félicitations Michelle.
You have earned the admirations of your readers. It is you we can come to for help and advice. I ask you to look into the Haiti rip off. It has been a long time since the earthquake that struck my island and we have yet to receive help from the billions of dollars that was raised for Haiti.
Where is the money?

I guess both Al and Howie are truly gone. I waited for their congratulations to see if they were still here.
You have been fair to all sides Michelle because you allow us to vent. My father sneaks and reads you now. ( I know Dad.)
He is a die hard republican, but now he gets to hear from the people, real people not those made up acts from Fox.
Where are the men? Even if you disagree, you have been given a forum in which to make your case.
And if you two are still around shame on you for your lack of respect.

Why are you not surprised by the silence of Al and Howie? They were all about themselves. If commenting got them attention, they would do it. But if there were no attention kudos for them, the world could go to hell in the preverbal handbasket for all they could care.
They had their moments. And I’ll admit they were interesting most of the time. But I always knew that their contributions were always based on their own self-centered “what’s in it for me” attitude.
I wish them no ill will. If they are somewhere in outer space. I sincerely hope the aliens didn’t put those two whining cry babies in charge of the well-fare of some poor unsuspecting world.
If you two are still here and reading this. I do not mean to disrespect either of you. I just see you personally as two typical men. I have found in my 51 years of experience that men generally do things to benefit themselves.
Most of them that die heroically, do it to be remembered as heros. It’s a weird kind of suicide. It may end up benefiting mankind, but it was motivated my a need to promote self.
I fully expect you to see this as an attack upon you personally. Any other reaction would be out of character. Still I wish you the best.

I don’t pretend to speak for the men of India, but for me you have been more than fair. It is not your fault that most of the women who write in hate men and God.
God gave man his superior position. Live with it or blaspheme at your pearl.

What Watsu Water Massage Can Do for You
Harold Dull
Worldwide Aquatic Bodywork Association
Imagine floating on your back in a pool of warm water while your body is gently stretched by a bodywork therapist. This healing therapy is known as Watsu.
It combines the relaxing effects of floating in warm water with Zen shiatsu — a type of Japanese bodywork that uses gentle stretching to release blocked energy along the body’s meridians (areas where chi, or energy, flows). According to traditional Chinese medicine, blocked energy can lead to illness.
I developed Watsu (short for “water shiatsu”) in 1980 as an extension of the Zen shiatsu techniques I had studied in Japan. Watsu can help to reduce muscle tension… relieve back, neck and joint pain… increase range of motion… and alleviate anxiety.
During a Watsu session, both the person receiving the therapy and the practitioner are in water waist- to chest-deep and about 96°F. A session lasts about 50 minutes. It begins with the patient floating in open water on her back.
The practitioner gently holds the patient with at least one hand, preventing her nose from going underwater, while performing a series of maneuvers that stretch the patient’s arms, legs, neck and spine.
Sometimes soft, foam-filled float cuffs or floating pillows are used for extra support. Parts of a Watsu session may take place along the wall or steps of the pool for added stability. People who are prone to ear infections — or who just don’t like to get their ears wet — should wear earplugs during Watsu.
Watsu costs about $50 to $125 per session. It is generally safe for all ages and for people with disabilities. However, it should be avoided by anyone who has an open wound, fever, contagious skin condition or sensitivity to chemicals used in pools (such as chlorine).
To find a qualified Watsu practitioner, telephone the Worldwide Aquatic Bodywork Association at 707-928-5860, or E-mail info@waba.edu.
Bottom Line/Women’s Health interviewed Harold Dull, the inventor of Watsu® and founder and president of the Worldwide Aquatic Bodywork Association (www.waba.edu) in Middletown, California. He has received the International Aquatics Award from the United States Water Fitness Association and been honored at the National Aquatic Exercise Conference in Japan. In 1998, he received the Tsunami Spirit Award from the Aquatic Therapy and Rehab Institute.

Texas senator calls Guam “foreign base”

Guam – First it was Congressman Hank Johnson who was concerned about the military buildup and it potentially forcing the island to tip over, and now Texas Senator Kay Bailey Hutchinson during a markup hearing in the nation’s capitol that was calling Guam a foreign base.
The Texas senator is vowing to strip and cut funding in the 2011 defense budget that would go to military construction for Guam, Korea and Europe.

Senator Kay Bailey Hutchinson, if you weren’t a bigot, you couldn’t get elected dog-catcher. Your ignorance is matched only by the level of your supporters on level of bigotry. You deserve each other. But the country deserves better.
