Women Rule
Posted by Michelle Moquin on June 12th, 2010
Even though the saying ‘Women Rule’ has been overused, the world hasn’t quite grasped the meaning.
I stumbled upon this quote from the Dalai Lama, when I was perusing Danielle Laporte’s Blog. Danielle had the good fortune of meeting with the Dalai Lama last year, amongst a small group of people, where they were so fortunate to ‘chat’ with him for about an hour.
I think His Holiness has quite a grasp on women.
“And you see, it does not matter whether you are Buddhist or Christian.” he went on. “Compassion lives in heart, beyond religion. Even me, Buddhist, I can say, you do not need Buddhism, just the compassion of the heart.”
“Women know this,” he went on. “Because, peace, peace is implicit in women. You put boys together, they make war. You put women together, they make peace.”
C’mon girls. It’s our time. Let’s band together like the boys okay?

Lastly, greed over a great story is surfacing from my ‘loyal’(?) readers. With all this back and forth about who owns what, that appears on my blog, let me reiterate that all material posted on my blog becomes the sole property of my blog. If you want to reserve any proprietary rights don’t post it to my blog. I will prominently display this caveat on my blog from now on to remind those who may have forgotten this notice.
Gratefully your blog host,

I would give any and everything I have for world peace. Men sure have not been able to even come close to trying to attain this.
I believe the “Dali Lama” to be very wise. If he says women make peace (and I hold had this belief as well), then all you girls have a handful of work to do. Men should be capable of helping to stop war, maybe it’s because of all this testosterone, but we have not been sucessful at loving our neighbors. Especially neihbors who have something we want.
We don’t have too long left as far as sustainability goes, but without peace we don’t have a chance.
I say you go girls! You have my back.

Hi Misch, I read her blog all the time, in fact, she’s on RSS feed and I got in on her Firestarter bday offer and love it’s content, only started it yesterday…she’s a good read and a great motivator for someone like me (who requires a kick in the tush, done with love, ocassionally), dig her verbiage style and her Daliai Lama experience sounds like something I’d love to do. And of course the DL is correct and it is our time, I think the mass consciousness is ready to accept that as well, let’s go!!!

[...] Marcus: Thanks so much for your comment and support. I feel the same way. And yes we do have a handful of work to do. But first, women need to come together like the men…and we need to stick together, like the men. But I have faith that we will wake up and realize the power that we do have and seize it. I’ll quote one of my fave quotes from the Dalai Lama, that I have posted here before: [...]
