“There must be a God…”

This is funny.
Colbert Discovers Bill O’Reilly’s Theology: ‘There Must Be A God Because I Don’t Know How Things Work’ (VIDEO)
On Thursday night’s “Colbert Report,” Stephen did a segment on his favorite Fox News man, Bill “Papa Bear” O’Reilly, and his recent quarrel with an atheist over the existence of God. Not only did Colbert discover O’Reilly’s real theology, but astrophysicist and friend of the show Neil deGrasse Tyson made a surprise visit to disprove O’Reilly’s theory.
During a debate with the president of The American Atheist Association David Silverman, O’Reilly said the proof that God is real lies in the tides, and assured Silverman that “you can’t explain that.”
Colbert, happy that O’Reilly had finally done what philosophers have been trying to do for years, knew this wasn’t the first time he had proved the existence of God. He showed a slew of clips where O’Reilly offers several versions the same argument: “The sun comes up, the sun goes down. The tide comes in, the tide goes out. There’s never a miscommunication.”
Naturally, Colbert completely understood O’Reilly’s theory:
“Like all great theologies, Bill’s can be boiled down to one sentence: There must be a god, because I don’t know how things work.”
At this point, Colbert was interrupted by deGrasse Tyson walking onto the set. The astrophysicist assured Colbert that it is the moon that controls the tides, but that just ended up convincing Colbert that the moon is God.

Wines That Will Impress Your Friends and Cost Less Than $15 a Bottle
Gary Vaynerchuk
These widely available wines generally cost $15* or less but are as good as many expensive wines. They go great with your favorite foods.
RED WINE BARGAINS
Bodegas Norton Reserve Malbec (2006). Malbec might be gaining popularity more rapidly than any other grape in the world now, which makes bargains rare.
This low-priced Argentine offering is an exception. Aromas of blueberry and blackberry are backed up by mocha on the palate.
Pair with: Grilled meat. This is a great wine for steak, burgers or hot dogs at a backyard cookout.
Price: $14 or $15.
Cousino Macul Antiguas Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon (2006). With its dark fruit flavors and ample tannin structure — the source of red wine’s appealing dryness — this Chilean Cabernet Sauvignon compares well with many California wines that cost twice as much.
Pair with: Ribs or chicken wings.
Price: $14 or $15.
Tamaya Reserve Syrah (2007). Chile isn’t particularly known for Syrah (better known as Shiraz), but this one is an excellent value. It delivers up-front fruit and lively acidity, which make it easy to drink with food.
Pair with: Red meat. It’s the perfect complement for a T-bone steak.
Price: $13 or $14.
Bodegas Lan Crianza (2005). This Spanish red made from Tempranillo grapes delivers the complexity of a top-notch rioja and distinguishes itself with its superior weight and depth — this is no thin, watery wine. It offers delicious notes of cranberry and chocolate.
Pair with: Light meats, such as poultry… or even fish if you prefer red wine to white.
Price: $12 or $13.
Trevor Jones Tawny Port (aka “Jonesy”). This nonvintage Australian port is deliciously nutty, with that classic dark plum flavor usually found only in ports costing at least $30 a bottle.
Pair with: Cheese, as a dessert wine.
Price: $9 or $10.
WHITE WINE BARGAINS
Nieto Don Nicanor Chardonnay/Viognier (2007). This awesome Argentine white blend offers a fascinating floral nose, and unlike many affordable whites, it’s not overly oaked.
Pair with: Grilled fish or chicken.
Price: $14 or $15.
Rudera Chenin Blanc (2007). South Africa has emerged as one of the world’s most popular wine regions, and Chenin Blanc is the grape that the nation’s vineyards do best. Rudera Chenin Blanc reminds me of an apricot that has been soaked in ginger ale — and I mean that in the best possible way.
Pair with: Raw oysters or shrimp cocktail.
Price: $14 or $15.
Delhommeau Muscadet Harmonie (2007). This white wine from France’s Loire Valley delivers a lemon-citrus blast. Aged “sur lie” — that is, on sediment containing dead yeast cells remaining from the fermentation process — it has more “weight on the palate,” or fullness, than most Muscadets.
Pair with: Salads, steamed clams or other light dishes.
Price: $14 or $15.
Helpful: Delhommeau Muscadet Harmonie is more difficult to find than the others on this list. If it isn’t available in your region, try other 2007 Muscadets — it was a great year for the Melon de Bourgogne grapes used to produce this wine.
Emmolo Sauvignon Blanc (2007). Many California Sauvignon Blancs are excessively oaky, but this one stunned me with its citrus flavors, ample acidity and power.
Pair with: Shellfish, lobster salad or sushi.
Price: $13 or $14.
Riondo Prosecco NV (nonvintage). This wonderful Italian sparkling wine costs a fraction of what you would pay for Champagne of comparable quality. It’s light, spritzy and delicious.
Pair with: Cheese, or drink on its own as an aperitif.
Price: $10 or $11.
*Prices in this article reflect what is typical for wine retailers, but they may vary widely.

After pumping their inbred followers into violence crazed mania, the Right is running a campaign to avoid being held responsible for the atmosphere of hate they have created.
Here Beck and Palin are seeking to run from their stoking their followers to commit violence.
=========================
Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin emailed each other about the shooting in Arizona, and Beck read some of their exchange on his Monday radio show. Beck told Palin he feared for her safety, and he condemned the shooting, which led to the deaths of six people and the wounding of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords.
Both have been accused by some as having contributed to the political climate that may have indirectly led to the shooting. Palin, in particular, has drawn criticism for the map she put up that placed Giffords’ congressional district, among others, within crosshairs.
Beck said that Palin had gotten in touch with him first on Sunday night. He read what he had sent to her in reply.
“Sarah, as you know, peace is always the answer. I know you are feeling the same heat, if not much more on this. I want you to know you have my support. But please look into protection for your family. An attempt on you could bring the republic down,” Beck wrote. “There are nutjobs on all sides…terror is terror. I don’t care if it is for Allah or your party.”
“I hate violence,” Palin replied, according to Beck. “I hate war. Our children will not have peace if politicos just capitalize on this to succeed in portraying anyone as inciting terror and violence. Thanks for all you do to send the message of truth and love and God as the answer.”
===============================
First they rev up the hate, fear and bigotry of their followers, then they put gun crosshairs on their targeted
opponents. When the logical result occurs and somebody gets hurt, they run for cover by claiming they stand for non violence and evoking the name of God.
I suppose the pathetic who vote republican get what they vote for, but the rest of us have to protect ourselves from this vermin.

So an attempt on Palin could bring the republic down? Too funny.
January 11th, 2011 at 10:15 am
Such bunk. I’d imagine they both phoned each other and discussed how to work this to their advantage. I find myself wondering if they ever cared about those that got hurt in this.
January 11th, 2011 at 10:18 am
I agree. What hubris! An attempt on SP’s life would bring the republic down? In who’s world?
She doesn’t hold any political office, she QUIT her governorship.
Crosshairs on her website was inciting violence, that’s why she changed it now, after ignoring complaints about it. It took murders for her to see the damage done.
January 11th, 2011 at 10:31 am
The Right is sending out fund raising emails to make money off the violence their rhetoric caused.
Their emails and Fox spokesmen are filling the airwaves with lies, blaming the media and the Left for what has happened.

This republic has survived the assassinat ions of President Abraham Lincoln.
More recently, it has survived the assassinat ions of John Fitzgerald Kennedy, Robert Kennedy, and Dr. Martin Luther King.
It has survived the assassinat ion attempts on George Wallace and Presidents Gerald Ford, Ronald Reagan, and George W. Bush.
Apparently you feel that Sarah Palin is more influentia l than these people. I will have to take a second look at her record as it appears that I have missed something.
January 11th, 2011 at 10:38 am
Sarah Palin is one of the few conservatives that has actually called out the failures of the democrats and held them accountable.
She has my full support. She is providing much needed leadership . Hopefully the new house leadership will follow through on their commitments too.

You folks really should lighten up for your own emotional sakes. These people are appropriate and expected in America.
This is not the smartest body of people in history nor is it the most self aware of peoples presently or historically.
Americans are neither brave nor free for if it were so they would not need to be telling themselves that over and over again.
This nation has more information available to it’s subjects than any nation in history and yet it is still one of the dumbest imaginable ……by comparison.
This nation is ignorant not just because this is a solid bastion of conservative religious buffoonery. It’s people are ignorant by physical measure, as in the graduation of it’s youth from a watered down public school education.
In the areas of education, transportation, electronics, communication, architecture, innovation and medicine this nation has fallen behind and is still falling.
If you do not prepare for your old age, who will care for you? If you are unfortunate enough to live too long and your savings run out, who will care for you?
If you think someone will, Just visit an old age home to discover how Americans take care of Americans.

What you libs miss is the fact that Race does mean something.
The Philosophy of Race Realism
What we call race realism is what was considered traditional common sense until perhaps the 1950s. It is a body of views that was so taken for granted it had no name, but it can be summarized as follows:
That race is an important aspect of individual and group identity, that different races build different societies that reflect their natures, and that it is entirely normal for whites (or for people of any other race) to want to be the majority race in their own homeland.
If whites permit themselves to become a minority population, they will lose their civilization, their heritage, and even their existence as a distinct people.
All other groups take it for granted that they have a right to speak out in their own interests. Only whites have lost this conviction.
———————-
Why shouldn’t we whites ban together to keep the subhumans from destroying the civilization we have given them?

I agree with you Matthew. The white race has proved its superiority over the muds.
One of the most destructive myths of modern times is that people of all races have the same average intelligence.
It is widely accepted that genes account for much of the difference in intelligence between individuals, but many people still refuse to believe genes explain group differences in average intelligence.
This blindness leads to futile attempts to eliminate “learning gaps” between the races and forces whites to accept the view that if blacks and Hispanics are less successful than whites, it is because of white “racism.”
—————————–
I believe every word of this. I am proud to be a white man. We cannot allow new immigration policies to permit the muds to outnumber white Americans.
People like Gifford should be made aware of the consequences of their actions.

Quick Cure for Nosebleeds
Mark A. Stengler, NMD
La Jolla Whole Health Clinic
Pinch the nose closed, and keep your head tilted downward (not back, which can cause choking).
If you continue to bleed profusely from a nosebleed (or any other small wound), take the homeopathic remedy Phosphorus (dissolve two 30C pellets under the tongue) to cut down on bleeding time.
Take five minutes after the bleeding begins. If bleeding continues, wait five minutes and take another dose.

Oh so it’s the moon not god that controls the tides? : ) ahhahaha…Bill O’Reilly must be feeling his age and senility if he actually says that shit out loud, let alone on national tellie, sheesh…
SP comments have this mizz laughing right freaking out loud, what a bunch of self serving REpug junk if I ever heard any. Puh-lease…this republic go down over an aw shucks winking idiot? Although, JM, you said it all, this country is at the bottom of the learning curve we just think we’re better than everyone else. ha! The flip side of any superiority complex is the well hidden curse of the inferiority complex, and I’d say that we hide nicely behind that Freudian curtain. Nuff said is right…

Michelle;
We on Guam have come up with a great way to put Christmas trees to work for the environment.
=============================On a patch of land in Tamuning, a slew of browning but still distinctly sweet-smelling pine trees collected from across the island will be fed into a wood chipper.
The carnage, however, will be for a good cause.
“On Wednesday afternoon, we’ll chip down everything,” said Roland Quitugua, chairman of the Northern Soil and Water Conservation District. “After that, we’ll allow homeowners to come pick up the wood chips.”
The goal of the program, a joint effort of the Department of Agriculture, the Northern Soil and Water Conservation District and the University of Guam’s Green Interns program, is to reduce the inevitable green waste following the holiday season, while also promoting environmentally friendly practices, Quitugua said.
Quitugua said the Christmas tree recycling program helps the environment by reducing unsightly green waste and creates an earth-friendly mulch that can be laid around plants.
The mulch is good for the plants because it reduces water evaporation, and creates a barrier between weeds and plants.
The chips also decompose slowly, helping prevent runoff, and spares marine life damage caused by runoff with chemical fertilizers, he said.
Quitugua said the program has collected about 180 trees from people looking to recycle. A bigger challenge has been keeping donors from dropping other kinds of trash at the site.
“We still have people trying to throw other trash away,” said Quitugua.
Located just off the roundabout in Tamuning on the grounds of the old hospital, the collection site was populated with a bundle of fading trees yesterday afternoon, as well as a group of enthusiastic UOG green interns.
The green interns work to educate the community about recycling, energy conservation and environmental issues.
“It’s just trying to educate people, change people’s mindsets,” said Michael Conner, a 20-year-old junior at the University of Guam.
Conner and half a dozen other students braved the rain to help gather the trees. It was a slow day — the team only got 12 trees — but they’re hopeful they will gather more today and tomorrow.
“Sometimes it’s an uphill battle, but then there’s always people who are receptive,” Conner said. “A lot of people will be like, ‘Hey, you’re right, this is what we should do.’”

Michelle:
Today I received another of those chain emails promising good luck if it is continued and bad luck if it is not.
I mention it here in the hopes that any of your readers will not send me another.
Who believes the bullshit anyway? Probably the same brain dead bastards that eat up Palin and beck.
And to the Matthew and LLoyd:
If being white means you are so much smarter than the other races, why did the whites have to keep the blacks from competing at the same schools white men enjoyed for so long?
I ask this because a lowly educated black man named invented Shoe polish and soap(so you could bathe your funky ass) with that lowly education.
Logic would say that if he had been able to compete with the knowledge that the white schools had, who knows what he could have done.
But that same logic implies that the best brains can do more with less. Perhaps that is the real reason white men fear the equal education of black men.
Perhaps God did put the best brains in the best bodies. And as a white woman who has had the both in bed, it goes without saying who has the best bodies.

I’m a gay girl living in(rather existing in) the state of Arizona. I have been in Oregon, and Nevada. So far it has been a nightmare being gay in this state.
Why are whites here so mean? They hate everybody. My girlfriend is white and we get so many mean stares when we are out together.
January 11th, 2011 at 1:03 pm
The single greatest threat facing whites is mass immigration of non-whites into white homelands. If it continues, whites will become a minority in the United States before mid-century. Britain, Canada, and Australia will also lose their white majorities. The culture of the West will not survive the disappearance of the people who created it.
January 11th, 2011 at 1:11 pm
Taylor, just what did you create? Civilization was alive and well while your race was still running around in caves.
The best you can say is that you copied and improved upon what you found. That has been improved upon by OTWS all along the way.
Example is the mention of the black inventor George Washington Carver who took the peanut and gave your people something that kept the plague from killing off a people who felt it necessary to pass laws making it illegal to take more than one bath a month.
A people who throughout their entire existence as “civilized” people never had one year of non war until the end of WWI.
A race that preyed upon the other races and fought each other over the enslavement of those races.
The US a point in fact fought amongst themselves over that very question. So hold off on lauding the “culture” of the West as you know of it.

Taylor, I would add to your comment this admonition to the jew. You are NOT white. We will find and sort you out even as Germany did.
Why you think you can ingratiate yourselves among a race that despises you is an opinion only you people can arrive at.
We don’t want you. We know that jews have never played a useful role in a moment that promotes white interest. You just want to marry into our race and improve your stock.
As far as I am concerned jews are the historic enemy of the European people.
Maury
January 11th, 2011 at 1:40 pm
Maury I agree with you. The jews have played a decisive role in creating the crisis we whites face here in America. Their influence has been decisive in destroying the traditional American consensus on race.
They want to be white so bad they invented a hot comb to keep their hair straight so they could fool Whites into thinking their were white so they could marry into our race.
Good God fearing whites were duped into marrying them and producing mud people.
The Germans knew this and came up with a solution to remedy the peril.

Michelle, I am stationed on Guam. We go out late at night to patrol. One night we followed a canoe that was in deep water because we thought they were in need of rescue.
The 4 people dived from the canoe into the sea. Then before we could reach them the canoe went in after them. It didn’t sink it dived in too.
I swear I saw this. We were later told that we didn’t see that. We sat up a perimeter and posted signs that said:
“You are advised to avoid venturing near exposed beaches and reefs as they may be life threatening.”
Then we sectioned off the beach area they would have come from and waited until some others took up the search.
Something non human is out there.

GUAM (MMD Newswire) January 11, 2011 — A swimmer caught in a strong current was rescued after he was pulled out to sea near Tanguisson Beach, Sunday evening.
Guam Fire Rescue 911 dispatch received a report of a male swimmer who was dragged outside the reef by a current, at approximately 5:45 p.m. GFR units, Rescue 1 and Rescue 2, immediately responded to the scene and notified Coast Guard Sector Guam who dispatched crews from Navy Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron 25. Coast Guard Station Apra Harbor launched a 25-foot Response Boat – Small. Concerns about the high surf and rapidly approaching darkness added to the urgency of the response. According to the report, the swimmer appeared to be tiring after making several unsuccessful attempts to cross the reef line back to shore through the high surf.
The first responders on scene were Matapang Beach lifeguards, who were able to navigate the channel within the reef riding personal watercraft. The lifeguards located the swimmer in distress and pulled him to safety. GFR rescue units then escorted the swimmer to shore.
The Coast Guard advises all swimmers to be aware of strong currents, sea conditions and to swim with a partner. In the event of an emergency situation contact Coast Guard Sector Guam Command Center at 671-564-USCG.

Q: How well does the female condom work?
A: Used consistently, female condoms are 79% to 82% effective at preventing pregnancy, compared with 85% for male condoms.
They are sold in drugstores for about $3.60 apiece (male condoms are about $1) and are latex-free. Each female condom can be used only once.
Female and male condoms should not be used together because friction could cause one or both to slip or tear. The female condom is lubricated, but you can add more lubricant and/or a spermicide if you want.
Advantages: The female condom can be inserted up to eight hours before sex. It stays in place even if the man loses his erection. It covers the area around the vaginal opening, so it protects a bit more against sexually transmitted infections (STIs) than male condoms do.
No other female contraception guards against STIs. Though the device may slightly decrease sensation, many women like being in control of their own condom use.

That is such the typical governmental response to something that is unexplainable. Such as, the thousands of birds and fish that have been found around the world dead. Numerous and various governmental reports tout cold weather…I think birds have been cold before…I didn’t realize cold weather only effects one type of bird in a specific area… just one example.
It’s easy to follow the bullshit, it is more enlightening to follow the truth.
