Hey….it’s been awhile since I have personally addressed anyone, and I miss it.
George: I feel the need to address you first to get it out of the way and end my write on a positive note. I have been educating myself in the likes of whites such as yourself. The history of our country, not to mention the world is revealing to say the least, with no word to describe the evil at its worst. And history speaks volumes. So much that one can only take so much of it in a single sitting without wanting to throw up. But you would never understand that because you are white…you are part of the problem.
Now I know what Madaline meant a long time ago when she described the white men as a “disease”, cancer that should’ve been killed a long time ago. And only seeks to kill anything that is not like itself, on a mission to produce, prosper and perpetuate. And eventually like cancer it will prey on itself when there is nothing left to prey on. And what happens when that happens? Need I say?
Rebecca: All I can say is you need to get off of FOX news and start watching elsewhere. Anyone who says Obama is an ass is just a racist. Obama has done more for this country than any single president in a very long time; perhaps even since Lincoln. But I doubt you would agree. You are a woman as one reader described, who will be kicking and screaming to her freedom. (Or something to that affect.)
Try being a bit more open minded, instead of listening to your white husband who like so many other whites, including our resident racist George, will do everything in his power to not see a black man succeed at the expense of this country, not to mention this world. Yes, I say this world..because the atrocities that whites commit are not limited to the whites in this country.
Be forewarned…once the whites have preyed on all of the otws, guess who’s next? Need I say? I HOPE you’re bright enough to figure that one out. Hint: The good ‘ole days weren’t exactly the good ‘ole days for women. As Robert says, “I guess you like you ass being whipped”. Bend over baby and get ready.

Josie, Dafne: Thank you both for your comments in regards to Madaline’s question. I was wondering when my readers were going to say something to me. Believe me, it is not a question I have not given thought to. And I’m sure you are wondering what my answer is. It is not an easy question to answer.
On one level, it was a resounding “Yes!” But after the initial moment of excitement, one has to look at all sides, and ask lots of questions. What anomalies might occur? What is best for all in the long term? (Believe me, sometimes I wonder if all should include whites because many whites certainly do not want to include otws when they consider the betterment of their country) The Democrats had their landslide, and how well did they do with it? I’m not saying the Dems aren’t doing a good job…but all sides must be looked at. Things we get too cheaply we esteem too lightly. Ah…but before you get nervous…A landslide is not necessary, as you said Dafne, but a victory is definitely needed. No question.
Readers: That being said, the Republicans are not dumb. But I’m not stupid either, and neither are you. We need to stay strong in be in the majority especially where our State Governors are concerned. In regards to California, why do you think Meg Whitman is spending millions of her own personal money to run her campaign so that she can win Governorship? Control.
Yes, but the key question is, “Control of what?” The Governor in each state appoints a key person in a very important position. And that position is the secretary of the state’s voting administration. I’m not sure of the exact title, but that person has control of the entire voting process. So what does that mean? It means they have control over the amount of time that a person has to vote, making it difficult for otws to get to the polls. It means that this person has control of the voting machines – they want to rig them? Simple: They can. They can rig the machines so that anyone who votes for a Democrat it automatically changes to a Republican vote. And no one will ever know. It’s why Gore lost the presidency.
Do you get my drift? Do you see why the Republicans are coming out strong? Do you see why it is so important that we keep the majority, and the Democrats win this November especially when it comes to Sate Governors? There is no way that Obama will win his second term if the majority of our state Governors are not Democrats. lf the Republicans have control over the voting process they have control over who becomes President. The Republicans will steal the presidential election again…or at least try to. :)
I say, “We need to nip it in the bud now”...this November. Are you with me? Support your Democratic candidates for Governor and ensure that they win.
Perhaps if Anonz were around he could chime in and give us his two on the subject. I’m sure he would have a lot more to say about controlling the vote. Anyone else want to chime in on what they know – give it a go. Ooh…I just realized it’s Friday – Start flapping your lips – Blog me.

Jaysine Petree made the ultimate sacrifice in answering the call of duty. Friday morning, the Simon Sanchez High School community held a memorial service for Petree, who was a 2009 graduate from Sanchez. She was 19 years old when she was killed in Afghanistan last Friday by an improvised explosive device (IED).
Inside the crowded Sanchez library, it was standing room only, as close to two hundred of her classmate, former teachers, friends amd family members paid tribute and share memories of Jaysine. They described her as being fearless, a comedian, an artist, a good student, and an athlete.
Sanchez H.S. English teacher Gretchen Andres had Jaysine in her class for three years
Andres says Jaysine wanted to try different things and take on any challenge whether it was big or small. She accepted that she may not be the best in all of them, but in trying, she proved that she was capable.
Andres says she taught Jaysine manner lesson in school, like how to write essays or research papers. But according to Andres, “Today Jaysine is teaching me that life is too short. Don’t let fear get in the way of your desires and dreams. Go and take on any challenge. It doesn’t matter if you suceed or not just be proud of yourself.”
According to a source, Jaysine Petree will be returning to Guam on Monday.

Let’s hope that President Obama can put a halt one day to the War caused by the ineptitude of the Bush Administration.
The Death and Destruction of the people of the world’s lives has been incalculable because the Bush Administration didn’t heed the warnings of the out going Clinton Administration.
A few foreign arab men taking courses in flying jumbo jets and refusing to take courses in landing and taking off in them should have been a huge red flag to an administration that was warned by the out going administration that foreign arabs were planning to bomb American targets with hijacked jumbo jets.
Add to this the fact that at the time the schools the hijackers were taking those courses in were calling every federal agency they knew of including the FBI to report their suspicions and NOTHING was done about it.
The Claim that the current, law at that time, would not allow surveillance of the individuals is a bold faced, and calculated lie.
The United States of America has always had and continues to have the legal ability to spy on any foreigner suspected of wanting to cause harm to the USA while he/she is within its borders.
The lie was an attempt to cover the Bush administration for their ineptitude and criminal malfeasance. It was also a calculated ploy to get the other two branches of government to allow them to take away the Constitutional rights of the American people.
It worked. Both Houses of Congress and that joke called the Supreme Court bent over and grabbed both of their legs. The rest is history.
So it is a true fact that Jaysine Petree like millions of others is a casualty of the incredible ineptitude of Bush and his staff. I am not sure that I wouldn’t have voted for him had Guam been allowed to vote in the federal election for President.
Thank God I don’t have that on my conscious.

I read this in the Huffington Post. My sentiments exactly.

Now it’s become the Republican campaign theme. As the U.S. heads into a critical midterm election, the electorate is more polarized than at any time since the Vietnam War. And Republicans view this as an accomplishment rather than as a problem.

THE OUTLOOK
Residential real estate has probably started to turn the corner or will within months, but there still are huge bargains — especially in many regions where people like to vacation and retire.
Prices are from 20% to 50% below what homes fetched in late 2007, because inventory has risen dramatically as owners faced foreclosures or sold second homes to raise cash.
And interest rates on 30-year fixed-rate mortgages are hovering around 4.6%, down from more than 6% eighteen months ago.
You would be wise to search for a home whose value will appreciate strongly as the real estate market recovers… and possibly one that would be easy to rent out for extra income. To be sure that you’re making a good investment…
Count new cars. The more late-model vehicles you see in a neighborhood, the more upwardly mobile young people live there.
That indicates that the local job market is healthy, and growing businesses help protect property values.
Go to town. Does the area have an appealing town center nearby, with at least a few places to eat and a pretty store or two? If not, look elsewhere.
Be a snob. Make sure the neighborhood has a stock of well-cared-for older homes. A place where all the houses are brand-new lacks character, has a cookie-cutter feeling and is unlikely to develop status over the long term.
Read the signs. If you see a “For Sale” sign on every other block, you’re looking at an exodus. The area may recover eventually, but its current momentum is downward.
WHERE TO LOOK
For the very lowest second-home prices, shop around in popular, high-density areas where developers overbuilt during the boom.
Las Vegas, Phoenix, Miami and their suburbs are overflowing with vacation houses and condos, some on sale for half their original asking prices. Yet these markets aren’t a gamble — they will recover in time.
Strategy: Don’t be afraid to low-ball. Make offers on several different properties at a time, and let the sellers know that you have multiple options.
Another way to get a lot for a little: Choose a location with a slightly lower national profile, such as…
Crystal Coast, North Carolina.
Closest major city: Raleigh, about a three-hour drive northwest. Why it’s a bargain: The beachfront towns of the southern Outer Banks saw rapid development in the early 2000s, but demand slowed with the economy.
Seasonality: Ocean breezes make this an appealing summer vacation spot. Activities: Deep-sea fishing, windsurfing, golf, nature hikes. Median house price: About $300,000.
South Lake Tahoe, California. Closest major city: Sacramento, about two hours east. Why it’s a bargain: Near the Nevada state line, South Lake Tahoe offers real estate prices far below those in other California resort areas. Seasonality:
A dry climate, with 300 sunny days out of 365, encourages year-round residence. Many vacationers end up making the town their retirement home.
Activities: Skiing in winter… fishing and boating in summer… nearby casino nightlife all year. Median house price: $347,500.
Saugatuck, Michigan. Closest major city: Lansing, an hour-and-a-half drive to the east. Why it’s a bargain:
An annual film festival, busy art scene and reputation as the “Cape Cod of the Midwest” (it is by Lake Michigan) haven’t yet inflated Saugatuck’s real estate prices to outrageous levels.
Seasonality: The year-round population of 1,000 swells to 3,000 during the summer, when vacationers from Chicago, Grand Rapids and Detroit pour in. Activities: Beach going, horseback riding, gallery hopping. Median house price: $220,000.
Great Smoky Mountains, Tennessee. Closest major city: Knoxville, slightly over an hour’s drive north. Why it’s a bargain:
The cost of living in well-appointed towns, such as Gatlinburg, is well below the national average, and Tennessee has no state income tax.
Seasonality: Altitudes in Great Smoky Mountains National Park keep the temperature and humidity down during the summer, when many vacationers visit.
Activities: Hiking, botany, wildlife viewing, lake fishing, barbecue competitions. Median house price: $199,000.
Tybee Island, Georgia. Closest major city: Savannah, one-half hour west by car. Why it’s a bargain: By freezing or lowering prices, the recession made this upscale, somewhat old-fashioned seaside community more affordable.
Seasonality: Tybee is a summer destination. Activities: Deep-sea fishing, kayaking. Median house price: $550,000.

I agree with you. We as democrats or just concerned citizens have to go to the polls and vote. We have to contribute what we can afford to to the democratic party/
We have to do the grass roots work of getting out and making the phone calls. Or this could happen.

To take back the United States House of Representatives, Republicans are going to need to pick up a few seats that only a year ago seemed impossible. Remember, it was January of last year that Time declared the GOP an “endangered species.” My, my what a difference a year makes.
In North Carolina, new polling shows Republican doctor B. J. Lawson on track to pick off Democratic Congressman David Price. Likewise, Renee Ellmers just might be the undoing of that other troublesome North Carolina Congressman, Bob Etheridge.
In Florida’s 24 th Congressional District, tea party favorite Sandy Adams is surging against her Democratic opponent. Daniel Webster is ahead of the loathsome sociopath Alan Grayson. Grayson is not being helped by his own antics nor those of his to advisor who called the Anti-Defamation League a “ crazy, racist institution.”
Democratic Congressman Jim Marshall (GA-8) is worried about his upstart challenger Austin Scott. Marshall has taken to trying to get access to Scott’s sealed divorce records. In Ohio’s 9 th, Democrat Marcy Kaptur is losing her mind over Rich Iott.
You may have heard of none of these Republican challengers. To take back the House, however, many of them will have to win and we’ll start hearing all about them. — Erick Erickson

hi Mischa, wow today you addressed a few things that I was thinking of commenting on, had a busy am, so I’m here now…
I’ll start with women of MM blog though bc it leads nicely…
Now that we’ve been eating whole foods (walking to the store and shopping the outside aisles of the grocery store for veggies/fruit/fish-chicken) for a year plus now, I’ll get a little more – hmm, what my pals call Zen Lill ‘woo woo’ they say it and smile/laugh so I’m ok with it. : ) it’s been on my mind since you posted Steve Colbert on here last week.
- so, When you buy food and you get it home to prepare it, I do a 20 second ritual…I send out a little ZL luv to every person who has come in contact with my food, that means everyone from the farmer who turned the soil, planted the seeds/seedling, the OTW who picked it, the OTW who packed it for shipment, the OTW at the wholesale event where supermarkets buy, the OTW who then repacks and ships it to their warehouse, etc…wow, that’s a whole lot of peeps, 99% OTW also : ) and if you think about it in the Mischa ‘happy cow’ way, I like to send that vibe bc maybe that day that this particular apple (name the food) came to be picked by them, they’d had a bad day or a good day and that juju, good or bad, well- it might be lingering in my food now bc it was handled by them, well I want my food from the ‘happy cow’ and I want that cow to be happy as possible in what they do so the food they handle comes to me bursting with positive energy that I convert into energy to pass around into my world. I know, woo woo to you, too : )
George, you probably think that’s a bunch of BS but I did it for everyone’s benefit and thought of you after I decided to write this unorthodox food thought bc now, George, you will have to understand that not only did we all start off in Africa : ) but we are all still connected now and when you go to savor your gourmet meal, you will have to acknowledge that a lot of OTW’s have touched your foodstuffs : ) also george, I was cliff walking in a very affluent area today and a crew of street washers came by, I watched a truck spray water while 3 OTW’s scrubbed the ground making it all pretty for all the well-heeled white peeps who own mansions there, at one point, the horn blew so I turned around, there was a black man behind the wheel of the truck, he leaned out and smiled at me so I smiled back, he must’ve wanted to see if I looked as good from the front as I did from the back : ) but my point is, these were good men, OTW men, doing work in all white neighborhoods, so next time you see your nice life has been made cleaner, maybe you’ll think of the OTW who did it for you and be thankful. Of course, there are meds but there’s also always another choice to take in the way you think george and that’s why I chose to address you…again…hoping that this time maybe you will take a second to think before speaking.
Mischa, you mentioned Anonz, and I was also thinking that you must’ve addressed Madaleine privately but above I see that isn’t so, both people were on my mind…I would like to request that Madaleine check on Anonz, just want to know one thing: is he alive and well? A simple and emphatic YES will do, a no will not do at all…just to clarify I do not need a ‘yes and he’s happily shacked up with his gorgous knocked up GF’ – a simple yes will do, thank you in advance.

Oh Misch, also Elizabeth Gilbert has another book out I just picked up, ‘committed’ it’s about her and her lover being pushed into marrying (despite their vow not to) bc he was not a US citizen and was here too much and too often, it’s very good so far. I’m digging it bc you cannot convince me that marriage is a good institution at this point, though I like to be open about everything : )
Gotta roll, it’s Friday and I’ve got the crew coming over for food (Mischa happy cow food!) and more painting, this zenification of the house is taking a lot longer than I thought it would but once I got going it took on a life of its own, the place looks quite Zen and I love it : ) and all with just paint so far…although I’m builing a living wall also, tell you about that later!
