So I see my baby brother is as full of shit as he has always been. He talks a good game for the slow witted. But when it comes to putting out. He’s a bullshit artist like the rest.

I forgot that silly moniker you claimed you were going to use. But as I told you when you said that you would post a line here to me, you were being your usual self – all mouth and no action.

Actually, I doubt if you even read this blog. That was probably another lie. It seems for most of that family, lies come as easy as their breath.

I hope you can remember to take good care of the Goose that lays the Golden egg. Because if she passes, you won’t find another member of the family that will allow you to live free off her love.

I don’t say this with meanness, I say it because it is true. By that I mean that you have and continue to abuse her love. You borrow, live under one of her roof’s without making it a priority to pay her back or the rent.

But when she passes, you will pay the next landlord on time and you will make it a priority to pay any loans an outside lender makes you or you will have that vehicle repossessed.

Now don’t go getting you back or feelings out of joint. No one knows who I am talking to for one. Except maybe Onil.

And for second, what I am saying is true. When I first returned home you were living off your mother with a wife basically for free. You seldom lifted a hand to even help out in her garden.

You were too busy hustling the rest of the family members with your tells of woe or how much you wanted to succeed. What did you do with all the help the family members gave you?

You squandered it with your womanizing and drinking. You wasted the best years of your life being selfish and trying to get laid with as many women as you could find. Count you blessings you didn’t contact HIV or AIDS.

Oh and you were so self righteous when you left you first wife. She looked at porn so you the deeply christian man had to leave her.

The thought that was ever spinning in my head while you were spinning this yarn to me was: “is this the same christian man who when he visited me laid around drinking my liquor all day? – Is this the same christian man who spent most of his time calling who was to be his second wife lying to her 24/7? – Is this the christian man who thought he was conning his brother out of a car and money to attend school by telling him that he was the only child back home helping his mother?

Little did he know that his other brother was telling the same lie. Exactly the same almost as if because they ran together they were dual pair of con men. Yes, I knew you were lying. I gave you the money and car because I loved you as a brother.

Just as I trusted the other liar when he came to help me but instead robbed me as he had his mother and sister before me. That one I have sworn off. If is appropriate that he changed his name because the brother with the name his parents gave him passed away for me. I need not ever utter it again.

But back to you, the baby brother that allows God’s name to slip off his tongue so easily when he is being self righteous. I wonder if you think that that God may have been listening to your hypocrisy about your first wife when he employed that canard “be careful what you ask for because you might get it?”

You got that second wife. Was she all that you wanted? Did she look at another man’s penis? That was a 20 plus years of child support mistake. But I wouldn’t look at it as so terrible. Consider that that God you so often blaspheme when you use his name in vain loves you and gave you your purgatory on earth so that your can have a chance to go directly into heaven without spending time there after your spirit has left this world.

If I know you as I think I do, you are seething with anger about now. You have looked over the fact that all that I have said is true. Your ego is seeking revenge. Be careful of what you may say in anger. Wait a day. Digest this again tomorrow.

Think long and hard on it. Remember what you did with the first wife. Remember how cocky you were then. You thought that you had cheated and gotten away with it, cast blame on the innocent, got off without having to pay alimony, and now you would be living the good life with the fruits of your lies and deception.

We both know that that didn’t happen don’t we. You got the family from Hell. Of course, you were not innocent there either. You forgot that this one knew how you cheated on the first one with her. She never trusted you. She knew you were a dog that would lay with any willing bitch that came along.

She outwitted you. Played your game better and profited handsomely from your heinous behavior and for her efforts. You are lucky that you got out of that relationship without being incarcerated. She showed you that not all women will take your shit lying down. Good for her!

Interesting how you and that other brother of yours manages to continue to escape doing jail time. I would have had him locked up if it weren’t for his mother’s pleas. It was that same mother that went to bat for you in your crisis.

How do the two of you repay her. With lies, schemes to rip her off and freeloading at every opportunity. Go ahead and kill the Goose that is laying your Golden Eggs.

But when she passes, consider that I have passed too because you will no longer exist for me. If you treat your mother who has done so much for you as bad as you do what chance wilt I have of receiving brotherly love, respect, or any kind of decent consideration?

The way I see it is that the last two boys view family as nothing more that an opportunity to freeload from. I’ve had my share of that. I bathed, clothed, fed, defended you against all threats, and loved you unconditionally when I was your big brother.

Did I ever ask anything but that you love and respect your mother? Whatever accomplishments are in store for you, and I wish you the best in that area, you have failed in my eyes to love your mother so they will mean nothing to me.

I tell you this BEFORE she passes, so that if you are inclined, you can change your ways. Should you not, you will not be able to say to me AFTER, that had I voiced my feelings to you earlier that you would have changed.

So rather than think of revenge. Think of this as one of the spankings I gave you when you were little to encourage you to be a better person. And BE a better person.

    Love

    Joyse

Guam – It’s finally here! GTA TeleGuam launched the Apple iPhone 4 today. Executive Vice President Andrew Gayle says customer response to the iPhone on Guam has been overwhelming.

“The iPhone 4 boasts videocalling with its FaceTime feature. It boasts a faster processor. Longer battery life, HD video recording. It’s the thinnest smartphone and a glass design on both sides, so it’s a very sleek-looking phone, as well.”

Mirroring Apple’s pricing, GTA is retailing the iPhone 4 for $200 for the 16 gigabyte handsets and $300 for the 32 GB models.

Here’s the latest on the Similac recall.

Abbott has announced a voluntary recall of certain, Similac-brand, powder infant formulas in the United States, Puerto Rico, Guam, and some countries in the Caribbean, as the product has a remote chance of containing a small common beetle or their larvae.

(HealthDay News) — Abbott has announced a voluntary recall of certain, Similac-brand, powder infant formulas in the United States, Puerto Rico, Guam, and some countries in the Caribbean, as the product has a remote chance of containing a small common beetle or their larvae.

The voluntary recall was issued after an internal quality review conducted by Abbott revealed a minor possibility of the presence of a small common beetle in the product produced in one production area in a single manufacturing facility.

While the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has determined that ingestion of the beetles poses no immediate health risk, there is a potential that infants who consume formula containing the beetles or their larvae could experience gastrointestinal issues.

The recall includes certain Similac powder product lines offered in plastic containers and in 8-ounce, 12.4-ounce and 12.9-ounce sizes.

The recall does not include any liquid infant products, and no other facilities have been involved in this recall.

Abbott is currently implementing a plan to address this issue in the affected manufacturing facility, which is anticipated to be completed in the near term.

According to an FDA safety alert, “products with affected lot numbers should be returned to Abbott at no cost to the consumer.

To immediately find out if the product in your possession is included in this recall, parents and caregivers should visit http://www.similac.com/recall, and type in their lot number to determine if their product is affected.”

    Suicide by Sugar

    Nancy Appleton, PhD

The phrase “addictive white powder” probably makes you think of illegal drugs.

Add sugar to that addictive group. Americans consume vast quantities — and suffer withdrawal symptoms when they don’t get it.

In fact, animal studies indicate that sugar is more addictive than cocaine.

Excess sugar has been linked to obesity, cancer, diabetes and dementia. What to do…

    SUGAR, SUGAR EVERYWHERE

In the US, the average person consumes about 142 pounds of sugar each year, the equivalent of 48 teaspoons a day. Of that amount, 74 pounds is “added” sugar — about 23 teaspoons every day. Added sugars are defined as those sugars added to foods and beverages during processing or home preparation, as opposed to sugars that occur naturally.

People who want to cut back on sweeteners usually start with the sugar bowl. They spoon less sugar on their breakfast cereal, for example, or use a sugar substitute in their coffee.

This doesn’t help very much. The vast majority of added sugar in the diet comes from packaged foods, including foods that we think are healthful.

For example, eight ounces of one brand of sweetened apple yogurt contains 44 grams of sugar, according to the nutrition facts label.

Four grams equals one teaspoon, so that’s 11 teaspoons of sugar. (You cannot tell from the label how much sugar is from the yogurt, how much is from the apples and how much is added sugar.)

Most of the added sugar that we consume comes from regular soft drinks (there are about 10 teaspoons of sugar in 12 ounces of nondiet soda), candy, pies, cookies, cakes, fruit drinks and milk-based desserts and products (ice cream, sweetened yogurt).

If you look carefully at ingredients labels, which list ingredients in order of quantity, you will see that the first two or three ingredients often are forms of sugar, but many have innocuous-sounding names, such as barley malt, galactose and agave nectar.

Other forms of sugar include honey, maple syrup, corn syrup, corn sweetener, dextrine, rice syrup, glucose, sucrose and dextrose.

    DANGEROUS IMBALANCE

The difference between sickness and health lies in the body’s ability to maintain homeostasis, the proper balance and performance of all of the internal functions.

Excess sugar disturbs this balance by impairing immunity, disrupting the production and release of hormones and creating an acidic internal environment.

It’s not healthy to maintain a highly acidic state. The body tries to offset this by making itself more alkaline.

It does this, in part, by removing calcium and other minerals from the bones.

Result: People who eat too much sugar experience disruptions in insulin and other hormones.

They have an elevated risk for osteoporosis due to calcium depletion. They also tend to have elevated levels of cholesterol and triglycerides (blood fats), which increase the risk for heart disease.

    BREAK THE CYCLE

A sweet tooth is not the same as a sugar addiction. We’re genetically programmed to enjoy sweets on occasion.

It becomes an addiction when sweet foods make you crave even more sugar and your consumption increases over time…

you experience withdrawal (in the form of mood changes, such as irritability or feeling “down”) when you briefly go without sugar… and you experience intense cravings when sweet foods aren’t available.

Sugar, like drugs and alcohol, is addictive because it briefly elevates levels of serotonin, a neurotransmitter that produces positive feelings.

When a sugar addict doesn’t eat sugar, serotonin declines to low levels. This makes the person feel worse than before.

He/she then eats more sugar to try to feel better — and the vicious cycle goes on.

For the best chance of breaking a sugar addiction, you need to ease out of it. This usually is more effective than going cold turkey.

Once you’ve given up sugar entirely and the addiction is past, you’ll be able to enjoy small amounts of sugar if you choose — although some people find that they lose their taste for it.

    How to break the habit…

Divide sugar from all sources in half. Do this for one week.

Examples: If you’ve been drinking two soft drinks a day, cut back to one. Eat half as much dessert. Eat a breakfast cereal that has only half as much sugar as your usual brand, or mix a low-sugar brand in with your higher-sugar brand.

Limit yourself to one sweet bite. The second week, allow yourself to have only one taste of only one very sweet food daily. Then push the dish away.

This might be ice cream, sweetened cereal or a breakfast muffin. That small “hit” of sugar will prevent serotonin from dropping too low, too fast.

This is important because low serotonin can make you feel so poorly, physically and emotionally, that you’ll want to self-medicate with more sugar.

After about two weeks with little or no sugar, your internal chemistry — including levels of serotonin and other neurotransmitters — will stabilize at a healthier level.

Eat fresh fruits and vegetables. These foods help restore the body’s natural acid-alkaline balance. This will help reduce sugar cravings and promote better digestion.

Be sure to substitute fresh fruits for juices. Whole fruit is better because the fiber slows the absorption of sugars into the bloodstream.

The fiber also is filling, which is why few people will sit down and eat four oranges — the number you would need to squeeze to get one eight-ounce glass of juice.

Helpful: All fruits are healthful, but melons and berries have less sugar than other fruits.

Most of us have members who are basically parasites. They feed off the good nature and love of the rest of the family members.

My sister would be right at home in your description. She lives in our father’s apartment building. She almost never pays the rent and when she does it is never on time.

Mother keeps dad from throwing her out. He often says that if he out lives mother, he will leave everything to me provided that I don’t share a dime with Shelia.

I hate being put in this situation. I try to get Shelia to be better. She doesn’t need money. She has a good job, but she never makes paying Dad a priority.

    Guam needs 40,000 welders
By Rainier Allan Ronda (The Philippine Star) Updated September 27, 2010 12:00 AM Comments (2)

MANILA, Philippines – Filipino skilled workers can partake of 40,000 jobs in Guam when construction work for a large military base starts in the US territory, according to technical-vocational educators in Davao City.

Joel Botoy, director of JIB Welding Academy in Davao City, said the projected huge demand for welders in Guam is causing some job recruitment agencies to knock on the doors of technical-vocational centers for skilled welders.

“Welders will be very in demand not just in Guam but also in other countries where industries are undertaking expansion or new industries are being started,” he said.

Botoy said welders in Guam could earn as much as the equivalent of more than P70,000 since the pay per hour is $8 an hour.

“Construction is booming right now and will continue to boom because every country is always undertaking some construction for whatever industry they are planning to develop,” he said.

Botoy said welding should be aggressively pushed by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) to young Filipinos as a technical-vocational education option in view of the global demand.

“Welders will always be needed,” he said.

Botoy said TESDA should also encourage tech-voc schools to improve their equipment and facilities so that Filipino welders will have a good reputation for their quality skills in other countries.

JIB Welding Academy has become the country’s biggest welding school with 42 workstations equipped with miller welding machines used by industry in developed and developing countries, he added.

Botoy said they have agreements with local industries where their welding graduates get on-the-job training with pay with top companies such as Davao Light and Power, Davao Water District, cement giant Holcim.

“The owners invested so that the equipment that our students will train on is the equipment that they will have to work with abroad,” he said.

Davao City-based educator Joji Ilagan-Bian, who owns JIB Welding Academy as well as other educational institutions in Davao, said that TESDA could help tech-voc institutions by making sure that only deserving schools get tech-voc scholarship funds from the government.

“Because we give quality welding training, our program is quite expensive,” she said. “So the government can help those who want to go into welding skills training with scholarships.”

Skilled Filipino welders can get high pay in many countries such as in the Middle East, Australia, Canada, Singapore, and Guam, Botoy said.

We love our pets and want to make sure that they live long, healthy lives. Here are ways to ensure that they do just that — without breaking the bank in the process…
Catch diseases early. Watch for changes in a pet’s routine, such as more panting than usual or additional water consumption. These can be early signs of disease — which may be easier and less costly to treat than at later stages.

Feed them a high-quality diet. You’ll keep your pet healthy and save on vet bills. The first ingredients on the label should be animal proteins — not byproducts, grains or vegetables.

Have grooming done midweek. Many salons charge 20% less for work done Tuesday through Thursday.

Consider pet insurance. Cost: About $16/month for cats and $22/month for dogs. Go to http://www.petinsurance.com or http://www.pet-insurance-info.com to find out what is covered.

Researchers say they believe a psychedelic party drug once favored by Leary himself could actually help beat severe bipolar depression.

Of course, that’s only if it doesn’t drive you to the edge of sanity first.

In a small, odd study, researchers assigned 18 patients to either a placebo or an IV dose of ketamine, a horse tranquilizer known for inducing hallucinations and altered states of reality. Then, a week later, the researchers flipped the study–giving the placebo to those who previously had been given ketamine, and vice versa.

The patients–nearly all of whom were unemployed–had tried and failed on an average of seven meds, and two- thirds of them were on psychiatric disability.

The researchers say 71 percent of those given ketamine showed improvement almost immediately–within 40 minutes– and that 29 percent of these patients were nearly symptom- free within a day.

For some patients, the improvements lasted for up to three days, and 35 percent showed some benefits up to a week later.

Just six percent responded to the placebo.

But when you consider the side effects of ketamine, this isn’t a treatment to be toyed with. It can cause paralysis, paranoia, psychosis and hallucinations, and long-term use has been linked to kidney, liver and bladder damage.

Ketamine can also create a disassociation so severe that users even have a name for it: “The K Hole.”

Shortly before his death in 1996, Leary told the New York Times that a journey into the “K Hole” was as close as someone could come to the near-death experience without actually having to almost die.

He said this after almost dying, so he was speaking from experience.

But you don’t need to go on a long, strange trip into the “K Hole” to beat your depression, even severe bipolar depression–because most “hard to beat” cases aren’t as hard to beat as the mainstream would have you to believe.

The fact is, antidepressant drugs as a class are incredibly ineffective. Switching from one ineffective med to another and then declaring the case to be “hard to beat” is like trying to hammer nails with marshmallow after marshmallow… then giving up and declaring that nails can’t be hammered.

In many cases, these drugs will even make depression and other problems worse in the long-term, especially for bipolar patients.

And for the record, one of the long-term side effects of ketamine also just so happens to be depression.

In many cases, severe bipolar depression is caused by nutritional and hormonal deficiencies (especially the thyroid hormone). In some cases, bipolar depression may be caused by food allergies. For others, it can be triggered or worsened by the years of drug and alcohol abuse that often run hand-in-hand with this condition.

While many patients may benefit from fundamental lifestyle changes along with a simple regimen of supplements such as vitamin B12 and fish oil, diagnosing and treating others can be a challenge.

But the answer isn’t in more powerful drugs, or choosing the right Moody Blues tune for your psychedelic trip into the “K Hole.”

It’s in working with a good naturopathic doctor who can help find out what’s missing–and then finding a safe, natural way to correct it.

    Sleepless men die sooner

Want to live longer? Sleep better!

A new study finds that men who battle insomnia have quadruple the risk of an early death–and if you’re suffering from disease along with your sleepless nights, your death risk can be even higher than that.

Researchers recruited 1,741 people who answered questions about their sleep habits and spent a night tossing and turning in a sleep lab.

Men in the study had an average age of 50 and were tracked for 14 years, while women had an average age of 47 and were tracked for 10 years.

Roughly one-fifth of the men died during the study, with the self-described insomniacs who slept for less than six hours a night having four times the death rate of the good sleepers.

What’s more, the self-described insomniacs who had poor sleep and suffered from diabetes or high blood pressure had seven times the death risk, according to the study in the journal Sleep.

Interestingly, men who got less than six hours of sleep a night but did not consider themselves to be insomniacs did not suffer from the increased death risk… and self- described insomniacs who actually slept well also did not have a higher risk of dying.

Women didn’t seem to have the same death risk… but researchers say that doesn’t mean they should be happy about their sleepless nights.

Because women live longer, and those in the study were younger and followed for a shorter period, researchers say more study is needed before they can draw any conclusions.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they’ve already applied for the grant.

But whether you’re male or female, young or old, one thing is clear: Sleep problems can have some pretty significant health repercussions.

Other studies have found that poor sleep can increase your risk of everything from obesity to dementia to depression… and, of course, it can make you grouchy all day.

But if you’re looking to improve your snooze, don’t turn to over-the-counter sleep drugs or risky prescription pills.

In many cases, simple lifestyle changes–like reducing your stress or avoiding late-day caffeine–can help you sleep better.

And when those changes fail, there are proven natural remedies you can turn to that are far safer and more effective than any drugs your doctor will offer.

Many people have had tremendous success with valerian root or valerian tea about half an hour before bed.

Others find that a supplement with a 2:1 ratio of calcium to magnesium, taken in the evening, can help make sleep come more easily.

Music, scents, total darkness and a comfortable pillow can also make all the difference in the world.
    ===================
On a side note. Did you notice that once again women were sided stepped in favor of men. Men got the 14 year study while women only got 10. As if the doctors said who cares if the women die.

It’s as Mr. Roberts tells it. First its the men, White men, of course and then the women, white women of course who are important.

The key being white men. So we must pull out all stops to insure that we do a full study of their problems. If money is running out or time or whatever, drop the study of the women.

Guam is armed to the teeth for some reason.
    ____________________________________________
ANDERSEN AFB, GUAM — U.S. Air Force and Navy Global Hawks operating from Andersen AFB in Guam may share ground support and occasionally cover each other’s missions as part of a June 12 agreement between the two services to coordinate their high-altitude surveillance operations.

Speaking at a ceremony Sept. 20 to mark the arrival of the first of three Global Hawks to be based in Guam, Lt. Gen. Herbert Carlisle, commander of 13th Air Force, and Pacific Air Forces Cmdr. Gen. Gary North said the unmanned aircraft are not being deployed for operations against any particular country.

But “people have a tendency to behave when other people are watching them,” Carlisle added.

The Northrop Grumman-built Global Hawks being sent to Andersen AFB are RQ-4 Block 30s. The Navy is buying a variant called MQ-4 for its Broad Area Maritime Surveillance program. The MQ-4s will partly replace the P-3Cs the Navy operates from Guam.

Northrop Grumman is now working on the Block 40 version of the Global Hawk and would like the Air Force to deploy a development aircraft operationally to exploit and demonstrate its capabilities.

“There has been some discussion about that [deployment],” says Gerard Dufresne, general manager of Northrop Grumman’s strike and surveillance division.

“There has been nothing firmly committed. Certainly that would be something that we would support. We would be ready as early as the first quarter of next year.”

The Block 40 has the enlarged airframe of the Block 30 but carries the MP-RTIP radar, an active electronically scanned array sensor produced by Northrop Grumman and Raytheon.

The three RQ-4s at Guam will allow the Air Force to maintain a long-range continuous patrol from the base.

Pointing to the range and endurance of the Global Hawk, North rejects the need for the UAVs to refuel and download data in nearby friendly countries.

While Global Hawks are taking on missions formerly assigned to Lockheed Martin U-2s, the two types remain complementary, Carlisle says.

The U-2, which is increasingly costly to maintain, still has capabilities that the Global Hawk lacks, he says, declining to provide details.

The Right has now justified why they should remain the “Party of No.”
    ================

Yesterday the House Republicans released their Pledge To America – a poor substitute for the Contract With America, which came in at more words that the U.S. Constitution they are pledged to defend.

Remember back on 2008 when everyone was complaining about George W. Bush’s spending? Well, the Pledge pledges to get us back to that level of spending. Only Barack Obama could make George W. Bush look like a fiscal conservative.

The reality, however, is the Pledge will not make a big difference. It is a myth that the Contract With America somehow pushed the Republicans over the line in 1994. They did not need the Contract then and they do not need this silly Pledge now.

Ed Crane of CATO noted in 2000 that between 1994 and 2000, “the combined budgets of the 95 major programs that the Contract with America promised to eliminate have increased by 13%.”

The real pledge must come from the American people. We must pledge to continue challenging wayward Republicans in primaries who claim they are for limited government and then go to Washington to grow the government. The American people are tired of the status quo. They want government out of their lives. It is a bipartisan frustration.

This year, unlike years past, the American people are so engaged that no pledge, no contract, and no promises will motivate the people more than Barack Obama’s continued spending spree will motivate them. The GOP is succeeding this year by being the party of “No You Can’t” and should remain so. — Erick Erickson

Taking even an occasional drag on a cigarette can have serious health consequences.

Recent finding: The blood vessels of people who smoked less than a pack of cigarettes a week were 36% less responsive to blood flow changes than the blood vessels of nonsmokers.

Healthier arteries are more responsive to changes in blood flow, and a reduced response may be an early indication of heart disease.

My brothers own a barbecue pit. They regularly barbecue stray cats, squirrels, and dogs to sell to the public as short ends.

I have not turned them in because they humanely put the strays to death and they are very tasty. And it is often the difference between making a profit and going out of business.

It’s a win win situation for everyone Our customers get delicious cheap barbecue and we get to maintain a healthy profit margin.

The poor unfortunate animals get a swift death and they become part of earth’s food chain.

You could be describing my family. They all abuse the kindness of our mother. But then so do I. I can’t help myself. I blame her for not standing up to the users. They use emotional blackmail on her.

When she complains that they do not pay their fair share they accuse her of not loving them as much as she does the others.

The ploy usually works and she lets the off. So I figure why should I always be the one sacrificing my time money and sweat for her needs.

They don’t do anything for her why should I.

It hurts me to be this way, but If I don’t stop they will do nothing but live off what I am giving her.
