Christine O’Donnell’s “Expertise” On The First Amendment

Good morning!

Doug: Thanks for the heads-up on this.

This video is priceless, and shows us just how stupid some women can be and are. I am embarrassed and yet I am thankful examples of stupidity and ignorance like this can be caught on video going viral for all to see. On the other hand it is so scary that people such as O’Donnell are running for office banking on their “Baby Palin” cuteness and caring little what-so-ever about facts.

As I ponder about some of the candidates running for office, I begin to think that all we are seeing is the marketing of a particular type of individual regardless of their credentials. And whether or not they are even qualified to run is secondary to how much attention they can gather through cuteness, humor and winking one-liners. It is a joke and one that is not very funny.

It is not necessarily who is best for the job, but who is the most liked, the most attractive, the most popular. (The most white in some cases.) Except for the latter (I HOPE), this is the criteria for a high school beauty queen, not for a State Senator etc.. And that statement is mainly directed at the people who are voting for the likes of women such as O’Donnell, Whitman, Angle, Palin etc., because they would not have a chance should voters be seeking the characteristics, and qualifications that embodies a great candidate.

We have to pass certain tests to become qualified “whatevers”….lawyers, doctors, etc. Why are their no tests that future aspiring politicians need to take before they are considered qualified candidates to run our country? At least if we had some type of test that aspiring candidates needed to pass, we could then at least be somewhat assured that whoever won would at least be somewhat competent. And then we wouldn’t give so much power to the people who are voting strictly on emotions, looks, etc.

But of course then we would have to make sure that there was no cheating on the tests – Republicans would have to be watched very carefully as usual because you know they would be up to their usual ways.

And I have to also add, as I ponder our political climate, that it is amazing to me that people are far more concerned about the different color of one’s skin than they are about the lack of qualifications in candidates running for office…in candidates that will make major decisions that will affect our lives and overall well being. That fact itself is something that I will never be able to understand.

Ruth, Robert, Evelyn, Harris: This is one of my favorites taken from “See things as you want them to be”: “The only way to discover your limits of the possible is to go beyond them into the impossible”.

Hoo boy, this is what we’re dealing with, oh man, really…? Can we send SP, Ms O’D (and she obviously didn’t O’D on studying the constitution), whitman, et al, back to school, maybe somewhere around middle school? These women give all American women a bad image/rap, and I for one, am ticked.

  2. Janet Says:

My brother works for the republican party he has been told to do things that amount to voter suppression efforts that are targeting OTW districts.

He is a convinced soldier for the “race war” that he believes is coming.

Somebody needs to do something. If there is a Madaline Michelle get her to help the dems. I am a registered republican who will be voting democratic.

    Janet

  3. Harriet Says:

The republican strategy is to alienate the OTW by using racial slurs and telling the white voter that he must get out prevent losing his country to OTWS.

I’m a scared white voter because most of the republican candidates are unqualified for the positions they are vying for.

I would love to vote white. But it is not as if I am voting OTW. There is a choice between two white candidates. It is just one is on the ticket that has a nigger as President.

I’m sorry but it is difficult for me to accept that a former slave can be the leader of our country. But I am deathly afraid of fools being at the helm of my government.

One can count the republican candidates on one hand who are qualified to be a US Senator or Governor, or US representative.

Sure we will have to stop Obama from being reelected, but must we put fools in the Senate, House, and Governor mansions to do that?

    Harriet

  4. Robert Says:

Scalia and Thomas attends the Koch brothers seminars. They no longer feel that they have to maintain even the appearance of impartiality.

The Right feels that they are above the law. They have control of the courts, the news media and the white vote.

    Robet

  5. Mandy Says:

Today I saw a poster calling Obama the Angel of Death. My daughter 11, asked me how we let a evil person like Obama become president.

I cried and said that our President was not an angel of death. My family hates that a black man is president. They will do or say anything to get him out.

I don’t think scaring my daughter should be a part of it.

    Mandy
