Support Gay Marriage Or…

Good morning!

Women be aware….if you don’t support gay women, and their right to gay marriage…

Gay Women Will Marry Your Boyfriends (VIDEO)

Earlier this month, College Humor released a video with an ultimatum for all the straight guys out there: vote in favor of marriage equality, or gay men are going to start marrying your girlfriends.

But Unsolicited Project has taken things a step further by giving straight women the same tough love. They need to adjust their politics, or say goodbye to all their precious boyfriends.

Tuni: I asked the questions about women but didn’t address the questions about men, such as what you broached. Yes…Where is the prosecution of this sick men?! They should die a slow death in front of their peers, with tiny needles sticking inside their wee wee weapons, with their balls cut off and bleeding to death. An eye for an eye…that’s how I’ve always been. Especially when I am seething from the brutality of men towards women.

**********

Readers: Funny. You know this could happen though. Gay women would be the perfect mate for straight. Men would never have to worry about them cheating with their friends or any another man for that matter. And what is a man’s biggest fantasy? Hello…two (or more) women having sex. The only threat or competition a man has is if she leaves him for another woman. So girls…support your sisters or… :)

Zen Lill: Happy New Year to you!

Tuni: An eye for an eye.

Zora: My thoughts exactly.

Clayton: You stupid fuck. I’m so glad the girls of this blog spoke up – I wouldn’t expect anything less. Why do women need more protection? Wha’at?! Hello open your eyes – MEN are the ones doing the abuse, the perps, the rapists, abusers, etc…whatever you want to call them, they’re sick MEN. Don’t pretend you don’t know. I take that back, you’re not stupid – you know. You are pussy of a man (and I don’t even like calling you that name because a pussy is a good thing) pulling what’s equal to the “race” card – pulling the “women” card.

Ugh…I’m done with you. I’m out of here.

The forum is now open – Blog me.

Sex With Your Ex?

Posted by Michelle Moquin on 29th December 2012

Good morning!

Since the topic is on sex why not just continue the convo. We’ve discussed sex at the work place, the female orgasm…now how about sex with your ex. Are you doing it? Here’s the write:

Sex With An Ex: Why We Do It — And 6 Ways To Stop

We’ve probably all been warned against it. It’s confusing. It could reopen old wounds. It’s probably not going anywhere. It might not even be that good.

Why then is it sometimes so tempting to sleep with your ex?

According to a recent study conducted by the now famous (notorious?) sugar daddy dating site SeekingArrangement.com, 43 percent of women admit to regularly sleeping with an ex while searching for someone new, the Daily Mail reported.

Female participants reported several reasons for seeking sex with a former partner, according to a Seeking Arrangements press release. Explanations included:

1. “Missed physical intimacy.”

2. “Wanted to re-start the relationship.”

3. “Things went too far after too much to drink.”

5. “Bumped into each other on a night out and ‘it seemed like a good idea.”

None of these reasons is all that surprising. For some of us, they’re deeply familiar, indicating that self-awareness isn’t necessarily a deterrent. When the urge to sleep with your ex comes, and it probably will, you need to be ready. Here are six ways to distract yourself from doing something that probably won’t make you happier in the long run.

1. You’ve almost certainly heard Taylor Swift’s “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.” Download it and play it on repeat to remember how exhausting going back to your ex — and Taylor Swift songs — can be.

2. Look at pictures of Ryan Gosling and read Cory Booker’s Twitter feedand you’ll remember that there are definitely people out there who are better than your ex.

3. Do your nails. Don’t curse us yet — this isn’t “Don’t be sad, Lady — there’s happiness in cosmetics!” This is calculated. It renders your hands incapable of texting your ex for at least an hour if you’re drying for an effective amount of time. The fact that you’ll feel a little more, well, polished as a result isn’t bad either.

4. Go out dancing with your friends. You’ll have a blast and release a ton of endorphins in the process, reminding yourself that you are perfectly capable of feeling giddy and alive without what’s-his-or-her-face.

5. Write a list of the reasons you broke up. Trust us — there’ll be something in there that not only shuts down your desire for a post-breakup romp but makes you feel lucky you got out when you did.

6. If all else fails, take your mother’s advice and sleep on it. One of the hardest parts of a breakup is getting through the nights alone. Knowing that you’re most vulnerable in the evening, do whatever it takes to make it to the a.m. before contacting your ex. Then decide in the clear light of day — when you’re interacting with coworkers, friends and other people who enrich your life — whether you really want to get back in bed with a person one or both of you decided wasn’t the right fit. Is the sex really worth it?

Good morning!

Female Orgasm: Serving an Evolutionary Function?

Why do women have orgasms? Most of the time, I’m so occupied with answering questions about why some women don’t have orgasms that I rarely stop to think about why women do have orgasms. It’s a good question, really. And sexual scientists typically don’t agree on the answer. But I came across a couple of studies recently published in the Archives of Sexual Behavior that discuss an evolutionary explanation for the ever-elusive female orgasm.

Dr. Puts and colleagues conducted a review of the literature on the evolutionary function of female orgasm. There are two main evolutionary approaches to explaining female orgasm: the byproduct hypothesis and the mate-choice hypothesis.

The byproduct hypothesis states that female orgasm doesn’t have a direct evolutionary function; rather, women experience orgasm because of men’s adaptation to it. The idea is that men were given sensitive orgasmic penises to reward them for spreading their seed. And recall that everyone, regardless of being biologically female or male, is born with the same anatomical structure. For the first two months after conception, the genitals are undifferentiated. So because male and female genitals are developed out of the same structure, women also get the benefit of this pleasure reward. For more details on this, check out The Case of the Female Orgasm: Bias in the Science of Evolution.

The mate-choice hypothesis states that female orgasm has evolved to function in mate selection in order to better attract mates who will be invested long-term or to select higher quality sperm for higher quality offspring. A variety of studies have suggested that female orgasm increases the odds of gettingpregnant. Interestingly, another recent study also published in the Archives of Sexual Behavior found that women who faked orgasm performed a greater number of mate retention behaviors than women who didn’t fake orgasm, perhaps offering more evidence to support the mate-choice hypothesis.

The main argument against women’s orgasm being explained by an evolutionary perspective is how infrequently it happens during intercourse. Most women require additional stimulation in order to climax during intercourse (usually in the form of clitoral stimulation), and you’d think that if it were adaptive, an orgasm would be a little easier to come by.

Additionally, compared to masturbation, penile-vaginal intercourse is pretty inefficient when it comes to producing an orgasm. If female orgasm were really an evolutionary adaptation, one would think the opposite would be true.

The main question I am left with (which is a common theme I find missing in most evolutionary explanations), is ‘where is the pleasure?’ Female sexual pleasure certainly isn’t considered as an adaptation or an evolutionary function in itself. There is some evidence to suggest that female (and male) orgasm aids in pair-bonding through the release of the anxiety-reducing and calming hormone oxytocin, especially in women, but that’s about as close as any of this literature gets to female sexual pleasure.

I’ll conclude in a similar way the scientific article was concluded, by saying there is still a lot of additional work to be done in decoding the possible function(s) of female orgasm. I’m certain of one thing — this won’t be the last time sexual scientists disagree on the topic of female orgasm.

Simply “Irresistible?” You’re Fired

Good morning!

Bosses Can Fire Hot Workers For Being ‘Irresistible’: All-Male Court

IOWA CITY, Iowa — A dentist acted legally when he fired an assistant that he found attractive simply because he and his wife viewed the woman as a threat to their marriage, the all-male Iowa Supreme Court ruled Friday.

The court ruled 7-0 that bosses can fire employees they see as an “irresistible attraction,” even if the employees have not engaged in flirtatious behavior or otherwise done anything wrong. Such firings may be unfair, but they are not unlawful discrimination under the Iowa Civil Rights Act because they are motivated by feelings and emotions, not gender, Justice Edward Mansfield wrote.

An attorney for Fort Dodge dentist James Knight said the decision, the first of its kind in Iowa, is a victory for family values because Knight fired Melissa Nelson in the interest of saving his marriage, not because she was a woman.

But Nelson’s attorney said Iowa’s all-male high court, one of only a handful in the nation, failed to recognize the discrimination that women see routinely in the workplace.

“These judges sent a message to Iowa women that they don’t think men can be held responsible for their sexual desires and that Iowa women are the ones who have to monitor and control their bosses’ sexual desires,” said attorney Paige Fiedler. “If they get out of hand, then the women can be legally fired for it.”

Nelson, 32, worked for Knight for 10 years, and he considered her a stellar worker. But in the final months of her employment, he complained that her tight clothing was distracting, once telling her that if his pants were bulging that was a sign her clothes were too revealing, according to the opinion.

He also once allegedly remarked about her infrequent sex life by saying, “that’s like having a Lamborghini in the garage and never driving it.”

Knight and Nelson – both married with children – started exchanging text messages, mostly about personal matters, such as their families. Knight’s wife, who also worked in the dental office, found out about the messages and demanded Nelson be fired. The Knights consulted with their pastor, who agreed that terminating Nelson was appropriate.

Knight fired Nelson and gave her one month’s severance. He later told Nelson’s husband that he worried he was getting too personally attached and feared he would eventually try to start an affair with her.

Nelson was stunned because she viewed the 53-year-old Knight as a father figure and had never been interested in starting a relationship, Fiedler said.

Nelson filed a lawsuit alleging gender discrimination, arguing she would not have been terminated if she was male. She did not allege sexual harassment because Knight’s conduct may not have risen to that level and didn’t particularly offend her, Fiedler said.

Knight argued Nelson was fired not because of her gender, but because her continued employment threatened his marriage. A district judge agreed, dismissing the case before trial, and the high court upheld that ruling.

Mansfield noted that Knight had an all-female workforce and Nelson was replaced by a woman.

He said the decision was in line with state and federal court rulings that found workers can be fired for relationships that cause jealousy and tension within a business owner’s family. One such case from the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals upheld a business owner’s firing of a valued employee who was seen by his wife as a threat to their marriage. In that case, the fired employee had engaged in flirtatious conduct.

Mansfield said allowing Nelson’s lawsuit would stretch the definition of discrimination to allow anyone fired over a relationship to file a claim arguing they would not have been fired but for their gender.

Knight’s attorney, Stuart Cochrane, said the court got it right. The decision clarified that bosses can make decisions showing favoritism to a family member without committing discrimination; in this case, by allowing Knight to honor his wife’s wishes to fire Nelson, he said.

Knight is a very religious and moral individual, and he sincerely believed that firing Nelson would be best for all parties, he said.

“While there was really no fault on the part of Mrs. Nelson, it was just as clear the decision to terminate her was not related to the fact that she was a woman,” he said. “The motives behind Dr. Knight terminating Mrs. Nelson were quite clear: He did so to preserve his marriage.

“I don’t view this as a decision that was either pro-women or opposed to women rights at all. In my view, this was a decision that followed the appropriate case law.”

*******

Readers: So a woman can now be fired because her employer finds her too “irresistible?” Is this starting to sound like we’re not in America but the Middle East? A man can’t control his sexual urges because he finds a woman “irresistible”, so he puts the responsibility on the woman and if she doesn’t hold up her end by “monitoring” her bosses “feelings,” and “sexual desires,” she can legally be fired.  Wh’at?! What’s next, women will be required to don a burka because he can’t control himself?

This is absolutely crazy. A woman has to deal with enough discrimination, sexual harrassment, etc. Now a woman has to deal with managing whether her boss is going to get turned on or not. Once again, the woman, the victim here, is blamed because the man can’t handle his sexual desires and is afraid he might do something. Sick.

Knight making such remarks as “…if his pants were bulging that was a sign her clothes were too revealing,” is not something I would expect to hear coming from a man who claims he is a “religious and moral individual,” not to mention, saying these kind of remarks is sexual harassment.  No man who claims to be “moral” would say that sort of thing to a woman, a married woman. Not sure when Nelson looked upon Knight as a ”father figure,’ but I can’t imagine her thoughts remained the same after he made those sexual comments to her. Nelson should have sued Knight for sexual harassment as well.

And what about Knight’s wife? Where’s the support of women? Once again, the woman is blaming the innocent woman, when she should be looking at her husband, and telling him to get it together and get control of himself and his lust. Here the wife is working along side of the husband and he is making sexual remarks to his employee, Nelson, and the wife is blaming Nelson because her husband can’t control himself. Hello…your husband, a “moral married man,” shouldn’t be making such remarks to a woman. This is sexual harassment.

This “all-male” ruling in favor of firing this woman because of this man’s shortcomings shouldn’t have happened in the first place. Not only is the innocent blamed, but in my opinion this is just an excuse to give the man free reign to do whatever. He can sexually harass a woman and then if the woman doesn’t give in to his desires, his ego can get her fired because she was just too “irresistible.” This gives a man an option to fire a woman for whatever reason because she was too “irresistible.” Who’s going to argue with what turns a man on? A peek of an ankle? A lock of hair sweeping across her eye?

Yeah…firing Nelson was good for “all parties”. Right. “Preserve the marriage.” Yeah right…until the next pretty thing comes along and screws it all up again. Oh yeah – No problem, we’ll just fire her too.

What’s next? A man is walking down the street, sees an “irresistible” woman and because he can’t control his sexual desires, he can legally have a police officer arrest her? How far does this go?

Thoughts? Blog me.

Peace out.

Good morning!

I just had to jump in on this one.

Paula Broadwell Emails Sent To State Department Military Liaison: AP Source

Paula Broadwell, the woman reported to be having an affair with CIA Director David Petraeus, sent harassing emails to State Department official, the AP reported.

Jill Kelley, the woman who received emails from Broadwell that prompted her to alert FBI, reportedly works as a State Department military liaison.

According to the Washington Post, the woman was “frightened” for her safety and contacted the FBI for protection. The Post describes the emails as “threatening.”

The New York Times reported that the woman’s complaint led the FBI to learn of Petraeus’ affair. According to the Times, officials decided to investigate Broadwell and stumbled upon emails that revealed the relationship.

Broadwell is an expert on military affairs and the author of a biography on Petraeus. She is married with two children and lives in Charlotte, N.C.

Petraeus is married to Holly Petraeus, who is the assistant director of service-member affairs at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.

MSNBC broke the news of the affair, and Petraeus’ decision to resign as CIA Director, on Friday.

According to the New York Times, some senior members of Congress were alerted of the news several hours before the story broke. White House officials knew as early as Wednesday night.

Here’s more from the AP:

WASHINGTON — A senior U.S. military official says the author who had an affair with David Petraeus sent harassing emails to a woman who was the State Department’s liaison to the military’s Joint Special Operations Command.

The official says 37-year-old Jill Kelley in Tampa, Fla., received the emails from Petraeus biographer Paula Broadwell that triggered an FBI investigation.

The official was not authorized to discuss the case publicly and spoke on the condition of anonymity.

Another person who knows Kelley and Petraeus confirmed their friendship and said she saw him often.

Petraeus quit as CIA director last week after acknowledging an extramarital relationship with a woman – later identified as Broadwell.

The FBI probe began several months ago with a complaint against Broadwell. That investigation led to Broadwell’s email account, which uncovered the relationship with Petraeus.
