“O” Stands For “Order” And….

Posted by Michelle Moquin on 28th January 2009

Whew – What a day yesterday! Who opened the flood gates?!

Did I not mention that ‘order’ was on its way? Yep…’O’ stands for ‘order’ and for ‘Obama’.  I truly believe that if Obama was not president, our planet, not just our country, would perish. And from what the TAO has informed me of, if Obama was not president, they most likely would let us destroy ourselves regardless of the fact that we are a cattle planet. So, whether you ‘believe’ or not…we have reason to be more thankful than we will ever know. I, myself was ready to leave this popsicle stand if it were not for Obama.  Thankfully he is president.  However, we too must do our part. Speaking of…

…To all of you out there who just hate seeing a black man succeed, hate the fact that Obama, a black man, is the one who can inspire change in this world…..hate knowing that a black man has risen in power….to those of you who would rather see the destruction of the world than let the black race get ahead and shine…..I know how difficult it is for you sociopaths (Yes, that is what I consider you) in this world -  I am speaking to you John, Charles, and all of those racists who hide behind the title of ‘conservative’…it is time that you and your ideologies take a hike.  The private party for the white people is over. We’re mixing it up now.

Yes, there is a new president  in town and he’s got a pair bigger than you’ll ever have.

~~~~~~~~
Hi Robert: Welcome. It’s good to be intrigued. I found your comment ‘interesting’. You are a black man yet you refer to ‘the boy’ – am I correct to assume you mean Obama? Hmm…I look forward to hearing more from you. I wish you luck in getting in.
Hello Abaan, Chaghcharan, Jyoti, Jeevika, and Anonymous: Yes, Obama will be a president of many firsts. His concern is for the world, not just the US. When he says that he wants us to be world citizens, his inclusive actions back up those words. He walks the talk. He is an inspiration to the entire world. If people have a tendency to follow…if we need someone to lead us, he is the one.
Hi Dafne:  Is this the same Dafne that has commented before. If so…welcome back. Where did we find him? Who knows, but he is certainly a gift.
Do I sound like a woman obsessed with Obama? Is he our modern day Jesus? Whether you believe in God or not,  is there anything wrong with having a strong faith in someone? Yes he is one man, but he is one extraordinary man. Why not believe that he can do amazing things? Why not believe in the power of one?  I believe in collective thinking. I believe that if we all have faith, and believe, AND participate, we can make the changes that we desire in spite of those around us that would rather see us impoverished…that would rather hold us down and controlled,  than strong, alive and abundant. Let’s take a chance…step out of our comfort zone,  and ‘believe’.  What harm could it bring? But more importantly look at all that is possible if we do ‘believe’.
Hello Paul: Thank you. :)
Anonymous/Secret Lesbian:  Ha! You make me laugh. I hope that someday you will reveal your true self and be free from the restraints of society and family. Accept yourself as you are and others will accept you too. And if they don’t, fuck ‘em. Life is too short…Live it as you desire. When you do, come find me and I will give you another hug and this time it will be in celebration of you being you. :)
Hello fans in New Mexico and the honorary, ‘girlz’ of Kentucky: Thank you for the birthday wishes – sending love back to all of you.
Hello Zen Lill: Welcome back! love that ‘life sentence’ – too funny. I am off today. I will call you.
Ohh…I would love to address all of you today but I need to go. I’ll check back in as usual tomorrow and we’ll chat some more.
Enjoy your day!
It Is Grand To Be Alive….
Posted by Michelle Moquin on 27th January 2009
I was on Facebook last night chit chatting with all of my friends. An old high school friend of mine, Michael Hersey, posted some photos of ‘the gang’ at Redwood high, and I hadn’t seen any of them before. They were simply so much fun to look at.
And I just love the one above. I am ‘posing’ with my best friend Lisa, who I am still very close with. Like you ZL, she is very tall and blond – the total opposite of me. Not sure what year this was taken but I think I was ‘sweet 16′ :)  Oh…how sweet and innocent I was…a sweet, young, tender. And the Farah hairdo…ya gotta love the 70′s ‘wings’!
The photos just brought back a flood of memories. I have to say that when I speak to people about their high school experiences,  many have told me that they did not enjoy that time in their lives. Not me; I have fond memories of high school. I had the time of my life at Redwood. My high school days were the most fun, the most reckless, carefree, spontaneous, explorative times that I will always cherish.
And because I grew up in the Bay Area I still am in close contact with many of my girl and guy friends. And now because of Facebook, I can not tell you how many old friends I have reconnected with. I feel like everyday is a reunion. My childhood is blossoming all over again and I feel like a kid…..Love that feeling.
I am grateful and blessed for the childhood  that I was so privileged to have experienced. All of my experiences have lead up to the totality of the person that I am today…and I have to say, I love being me.
That being said, it is MY day today and I am going to go out and enjoy it. I am open to  whatever the universe is offering…and I chose to accept it with love, happiness, and joy. It is grand to be alive, to truly feel alive…even in the midst of all of this chaos going on in the world. Just remember, the universe is random, looking for order, looking for….Order is on it’s way….
Peace & Love to all of my dear friends…old and new.  Today and everyday I am living it and giving it.
The Game Of War: Are We Playing By The Rules?
Posted by Michelle Moquin on 26th January 2009
Hi CynthiaYour comment has inspired me to write today. But as I begin to write I am overwhelmed with emotion. I promised myself that I would not let the wars of the world get to me…that in order to make a difference I need to be strong, clear minded, and focused. But, I am so sick of war and I am not even in the midst of it like so many.
I sit here on my computer reading of the happenings in Israel and Palestine…I sit here reading about White Phosphorus, a weapon that militaries use widely to obscure the battlefield (Phosphorus rounds are usually used to spread a thick, white smoke to screen military actions and mark specific areas.). But that it is also limited under an international convention that bans targeting civilians with it. Why? Because when it comes in contact with the skin, it has a horrible burning effect – it literally burns down to the bone.
This white smoke is killing. Amnesty International said it found “indisputable evidence of widespread use of white phosphorus in densely populated residential areas in Gaza City and in the north.”
I know there are guidelines and rules in war. But it seems that many of them are not being followed or are being broken. White Phosphorus in civilian areas killing families….men returning fire to protect their soldiers when being fired upon and oops…your GPS-guided mortars which are supposed to be accurate, aren’t exactly.  So yes, you did end up hitting the enemy but at the same time over 40 civilians including children are killed. Is this considered a war crime?  And if so, will any action ever be taken? Will those that survived while they watched their families burn to death ever get retribution?  According to the rules of war it should not have happened in the first place.
So I ask…where is the accountability here? Are the military asking the appropriate questions when ready to fire on the enemy? Are they considering the civilian risk? Or are they so consumed with getting the job done and winning that they will do so at whatever the price?  The price being civilians…women and children. Innocents.
I think of the movie ’300′. And as brutal as the war scenes were,  war seems to be more barbaric now, than when automatic weapons didn’t exist. When you think of men fighting, the only ones getting killed were those that were actually fighting in hand to hand combat or in close proximity. Yes, women and children did get killed. I’m not saying that it did not happen. Villages and tribes were attacked, but a man usually ‘went off to war’. Civilians were not usually in the midst of war. Now, we bomb ‘cities’. Of course our land is more populated too which makes going ‘off to war’ more difficult.
Wouldn’t it be great if there was a law that war could not exist on our planet. If we could send those who wanted to fight to another planet; an uninhabited one. You know, let them battle it out somewhere else….say Mars…where they could kill each other to the end. We would not have to worry about civilians getting killed or poisonous gases and such, ruining our planet endangering humans, animal and plant life.
I know I may sound unrealistic, but hey, I can dream can’t I? I just know that if it was up to women, the caretakers of this world, we would find a better solution than war. Hmmm…some day when women rule…
Peace out.
Want To Be My Friend?
Posted by Michelle Moquin on 25th January 2009
Good morning…
I am sure that many of you are familiar with Facebook.  I have been addicted to it lately as I have been connecting with my friends as well as reconnecting with all of my long lost friends that I have not seen in years. And I have met so many people from all over the world that I am now friends with. If you do not have a face book account, I highly recommend one.
Want to be my friend? I want all of my loyal readers to be able to also converse with me on my facebook page, so I just got an address where you can connect with me and be my friend. If you are interested, go to my personal address, sign up, and we can talk over there too. (Note:  Address link will also be permanently located in the right side bar.) It may be easier since some of you are having problems connecting with me here.  We’ll just see how it goes…
Happy Sunday and I hope to hear from you here or there!
************
Hey Zen Lill: I was thinking about you the other day and I was going to call and then realized that you were in Nashville – sounds like you are having fun and the people are super cool. Happy that all is going as planned with the new job.
Gratefully your blog host,
I Am Anti Anything….
Posted by Michelle Moquin on 24th January 2009
I have been told it was quite a day yesterday on my blog. Many of you could not only not get in to comment, but it many of you were not even capable of reading my site. It seems that many countries are now blocking my site as they feel that I am so anti this and anti that. If you are lucky enough to not be residing in one of those countries that is banning my blog and you can actually read this, you know that I am not anti ANY country.
In fact I am FOR every country.  What I am anti about, is the racism and sexism in those countries….in ANY country really. I love the diversity of this world, yet it is the differences that not only make people interesting but it is what is keeping us separate  - we have yet to see us as one world…world citizens.
Am I anti men? I have been accused of hating men. I am not anti men nor do I hate men.  But I am anti ANY man who does not support women, who does not treat women equally, and who abuses women either, physically, emotionally, or sexually. And as we all know all of those actions are rampant in this world. I do not hate men in general but I hate the actions that many men take.
So, am I anti religion? Yes and No. No…I think religion can bring people together.  It also keeps many people from doing worse things to each other for fear that God will not receive them in heaven. The way I have seen people treat each other, some could use all of the help they can get. And, on the other hand, some religions, which seem to be written by men, allow men to do horrific things to others, especially to their women because, ‘God says so’. So yes, I am anti those religions. I don’t believe a God would say that it was okay to treat women as men feel they have the right to treat them.  If you have read any of the comments from my sisters around the world, you would know that they feel the same way.
I am okay with your religion as long as you don’t push your beliefs on me, and negate my beliefs or religion, or lack there of. But hmmm…is there such a religion?  Maybe at one time religion did bring people together…but is it not creating more separateness presently?
All that being said, I am anti ANYTHING that does not let people live their lives as they choose as long as they and their actions reciprocate. You know…life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness…Live and let live. EVERYONE deserves this.
Whether you can read me or not, I am still here and will be as long as possible.
Peace & Love….
Gratefully your blog host,
michelle
