This ‘n That Chit Chat….

Posted by Michelle Moquin on 29th January 2009

Good morning.

I am not 100% today. A little drinking and a lot of dancing last night in celebration. My head is in a fog, I did not get my normal 8 hours, so I am going to be brief. However I did want to address those of you that I didn’t get to yesterday.

Redwood High: We kissed? Sorry DH, I don’t recognize those initials, but then there were so many people at Redwood…..and you know I was mugging with almost everyone.  Ha! You know I’m kidding. As fun as I did have at redwood, if you truly knew me, you would know that I  wasn’t much into playing the field.  I loved having boyfriends. Anyway, I’ll have to pull out that ‘ol year book and peruse. Thanks for visiting here and I look forward to becoming friends on facebook and discovering who you are. Delighted you enjoy the writes. :)

Hello Mosley: Thanks for the birthday wish.

Teddy: Obama is going to destroy our country. Yeah, okay. More like he is going to take away the power of those who want to destroy our country. And it ain’t those ‘rag heads’ as you call them. No I am more afraid of those ‘white heads’ that live in this country.

Did you ever think that maybe those at Gitmo should’ve gotten a fair trial over the last 6 years? Reports are incomplete…because guess what? – There is nothing to put into the reports. Many of them have no solid evidence against them. Is it really okay to steal away 6 years of someone’s life? Because that is really what we did – yes, this was a detention facility but…in my mind, a nice name for prison.

Hi Robert: Thanks for the clarification. Sometimes in script when the ‘tone’ is missing, misunderstandings can occur.  I have quite a few black friends and I am aware of the endearing terms that they use with each other. However, I could not tell from your comment if you were being endearing or not.  And I was not sure if you were referring to Obama.  I mean c’mon…a reader of my blog who works with Obama? The variety of people that read my blog still shocks me.

Anyway, in regards to your comment…you are so right. And, I am sure you are pissing off more than just Barbara’s husband. 100% of the republicans voting against the Stimulus package tells us, as Choe and Mosley pointed out the other day, that they choose ‘color’ over ‘country’.  Yeah…11 Democrats voted against it too, but no surprise considering the states they represented.  I just love how now they are so concerned about the money. Where was the concern over the money these past 8 years when our deficit was growing exponentially? Hmm…maybe because their pockets were too?

Throw in Rush Limbaugh who openly says that he hopes the Obama administration fails. Ya know Rhonda, there is a reason that Limbaugh’s show is so popular….a reason that it is nationally syndicated. You can’t have a popular show unless people, like your ‘imbecile’ brother, listen to him. That is the scary thing.  Do I need to say it again? ‘Color over country’. Maddie gone wild is not a show I want to promote just yet. I think we can do better.  You say my birth was a gift to the world – thank you. But I believe we are all here for a reason (besides tasty morsels for alien visitors :), and even if we aren’t, make something good up and run with it.

Tiffany: You sound like an intelligent woman. Have you expressed your viewpoints to your father? Don’t hold back – you’re right on.  Many whites still want to believe that there time will come even though they have lost everything under the Bush badmin. Again….’Color over country’.

Hey Mary: I am sorry but you are going to have to tell me your last name. I knew several Marys at redwood. And there were quite a few times we all skipped school to go party when the parents were away. Thanks for the birthday wishes and come be my friend on facebook if you want to reconnect.

Hey Dafne: Hope to hear from you again when you have some time.

Now I really have to go.

Gratefully your blog host,

michelle

This n’ That Chit Chat

Posted by Michelle Moquin on 6th January 2009

Hi ZL:  Thanks for chiming in and giving your ‘two’.  Hmm…you have brought up some interesting questions too -Wish I had all the answers.  I think it will definitely take some further discussions – which I will be happy to continue at another time.

…Missed your call this afternoon- Yes, I have been working everyday getting ready for my new position to start. I am beat to say the least. Not sure why. I have worked much harder in my life but for some reason I am feeling it more now. I will call you on my next day off. Oh…and I’ll have Madaline check into Anonz for you.

Hello Maddie:  Can you please give us a report on Anonz.  How is he doing?

To Dapne and all of the Gazan women:  Thank you Dapne for starting up a conversation and thank you to all of the women for answering Dapne by commenting through my blog these past few days. I have had much on my mind and most of it relates to the plight of the women on this planet. I do not know what is going to happen. And I am not sure what to do in order to help all of you. I am hopeful that Obama will start to weed us off foreign oil so that we are not dependent on it.  When foreign oil is no longer a commodity to the US, and we are no longer sending billions to the middle east, maybe then, when we are free from this dependency, we can do more for the women of the world. Maybe then Obama can focus on how to relieve the plight of so many sisters out there, that need change to happen NOW….to free all of you.  A plan that will help others such as myself to do something on a larger scale.

Chuck: Not sure what to say to your comment. Wish you had said a bit more about ‘why’ you hate the competition.  I’m not saying all men will kill to get between a woman’s legs. But collectively as a male species, it’s the male that is prone to the fight, the male that creates the need for war, not the female.

I wish that I had more to say about anything, but I feel like not saying much this morning. Peace out….

Gratefully your blog host,

michelle

Sunday Morning Post: Catching up

Posted by Michelle Moquin on 21st December 2008

Michelle’a Holiday Picks!

If you would like to buy any of these, click on any book and you will be taken to Amazon.com.

Good morning everyone. I just wanted to say hello this morning and comment on your comments. It felt good to see some of you in ‘text’ the past two days. Thank you all for your persistence and not giving up. I know that my commitment to writing is partly fueled by your persistence in getting a comment in and joining me in the convo.

Hi Zen Lill: I hear ya – good to have you peep in and say hello. :) I have missed your presence here and miss chatting with you personally.  I’m sure we’ll speak before Christmas.

Hi Lori:  Merry Christmas and Happy New year to you too! Thanks for the comment. I agree – EVERYONE who contributes to the blog makes it a good read.

Hello Hullanta: Happy that you got in. I had fun writing that article and discovering Cleopatra’s true identity.  I’m looking forward to the documentary on the Discovery channel. I’ll keep you posted when I am able to find the info and if you find it first, please blog it. Thanks.

Nicole: Merci! I am happy that you are enjoying it – I enjoy it too and I hope to continue it as long as I want to. Joyeux Noël et Nouvelle année heureuse a toi!

Hi Fredi: Lucky you! (I think :)

Hi Bob: Thanks! And, right back at ya.

Marlene: Frohe Weihnachten und glückliches neues Jahr zu Ihnen!

Hi Sandra and Doug:  I think you called that one right.  I don’t know how much money Liberman makes or what he’s worth but it seems to me that he will continue to show his lack of integrity by doing or saying almost anything he needs to in order to stay in the power position and continue filling his deep pockets. On another note…Doug, I really don’t know anything about Rick Warren. I’ll check out your blog.

Hi John: I have actually felt ashamed to be white too, especially when Obama was first campaigning and so much racial shit was coming forward. Not that I have not experienced racism or seen it myself, but I guess I naively didn’t think America would be so against a black president. My original vote for Hillary had nothing to do with Obama being black – his color never entered my mind as it did for so many.

I give Obama big kudos. He has a big set and I hope that he has a lot of support to hold them up. My guess is he does and if I had any say or hand in the matter, my vision is that he will create change and miracles will happen. We all had a vision that we held…we made it happen and we need to continue that belief, that vision, and rely on the miracles. I know I am.

Peace out….

Gratefully your blog host,

michelle

A Bit Of Chit, Not Much Chat

Posted by Michelle Moquin on 19th December 2008

Michelle’a Holiday Picks!

If you would like to buy any of these, click on any book and you will be taken to Amazon.com.

Good early morning – too early for me. I have the need to still be in my warm bed. You know how I do love my sleep.

Well…it looks like Madaline is way out in deep space, and it seems many of you are too since I am not hearing from you. Not even ‘Health Info’ is getting in to post.

I know you’re all out there is blogsville, and I just want to know one thing this morning….those of you that have tried to order T-shirts, mugs, etc., and have been unable to, I am curious what happens…what is ‘said’ to you when you are trying to order a product and are not able to? Please do tell – blog me. Hopefully a miracle will happen…I do rely on them and especially these days…and I will hear from some of you.

If I can check in later I will try to add to this post but I am working all day and into the night, and the most I may be able to do is check to see if any of you got in. Until then…Chat amongst yourselves (if you can) – I know you have a lot to say :), enjoy the day, and wherever you are stay dry; stay warm. And lastly….peace out.

Gratefully your blog host,

michelle

Bits of news…it’s all I’ve got.

Posted by Michelle Moquin on 10th December 2008

So..what’s going on this morning?  Any new news to report?

I heard the Jay Leno is getting primed for prime time on NBC: 10:00 nightly. I have never been a big Leno fan but I know many like him and watch his show. It was a big deal if I was up at 11:00 to watch anything (I love my sleep) but now that he may grace us with his face, (and a big face it is – do ya think people will confuse him with Olbermann? :) an hour earlier I just may have to check him out. The only time I am up after 10:00 is to watch ‘Brothers and Sisters’ on Sunday nights, otherwise it’s lights out for me. In to bed early and up early is my regular routine, sans the weekends of course.

Sleep is my big escape from reality. It always has. Not that reality isn’t okay. I just love my dream state. And I love waking up to a new day; it’s almost like being reborn. Everything looks fresher. I am rejuvenated, relaxed and regenerated; and luckily the day feels that way too. Although lately sleep has not been as pleasant as I am used to. Last night was the first good night of sleep that I got in the last few days.  For three days I woke up from my sleep in the middle of the night….crying. Yep…what is that all about? Has that ever happened to you? I know it happens every so often to me but never three nights in a row. Hmm…maybe I need to cry a little more in my waking life so that my sleep can be what I love: deep and peaceful.

Anyway what else?

So I hear one of the Big 3 is backing our of Bailout help. Ford says the money is unnecessary. Cool. It seems Ford planned ahead and in 2006 they set up $23.5 billion worth of credit.  So the plan is to borrow, restructure and bring in some new product plans. They feel this will get them through the recession without relying on the government. Wow, I love it…a big business that is actually relying on their own smarts and resources.

From the Huffington Post:

Ford even said the century-old company that bears his family’s name might be able to use the independence from loans to its advantage.

“I think if they see Ford as a company trying to pull itself up by its own bootstraps, and making it on its own and pulling the right levers, I think that could be a positive for us,” Ford said.

I think Ford’s got it going. I mean at least from what I know – who knows what’s going on behind the scenes. But c’mon, there are millions of Americans pulling themselves up by their own bootstraps, why not the biggies too? Hey, maybe more will follow suit and start thinking with the big head. I have to say that being able to change with the times and reaching in deep to find those resources is something that I am beginning to master. It is amazing how resourceful one can be when one has to be.

So that’s about all I was able to catch up on in the news the past few days. If someone told me that I had to give up TV a few months ago, I would’ve laughed and said, ‘No way! – Never! But today…well my peeps, I still want to say ’No way! – Never!’ but what I want and what is my reality ain’t always the same same  - get my drift? :)

Hi Zen Lill:  I would love to be in NY and see all of the lights and the big tree at Rockefeller. How fun that would be – throw in some power shopping and I am all yours! I am feeling the Christmas spirit all around me and some of it is seeping in. :)

Ahh..it is a beauty today. Carr are you out there shining your brilliant light? You know the sun brings out the best in me –  I am so appreciative!

Enjoy where ever you are…

Gratefully your blog host,

michelle
