This ‘n That Chit Chat….

Good morning.
I am not 100% today. A little drinking and a lot of dancing last night in celebration. My head is in a fog, I did not get my normal 8 hours, so I am going to be brief. However I did want to address those of you that I didn’t get to yesterday.
Redwood High: We kissed? Sorry DH, I don’t recognize those initials, but then there were so many people at Redwood…..and you know I was mugging with almost everyone. Ha! You know I’m kidding. As fun as I did have at redwood, if you truly knew me, you would know that I wasn’t much into playing the field. I loved having boyfriends. Anyway, I’ll have to pull out that ‘ol year book and peruse. Thanks for visiting here and I look forward to becoming friends on facebook and discovering who you are. Delighted you enjoy the writes. :)
Hello Mosley: Thanks for the birthday wish.
Teddy: Obama is going to destroy our country. Yeah, okay. More like he is going to take away the power of those who want to destroy our country. And it ain’t those ‘rag heads’ as you call them. No I am more afraid of those ‘white heads’ that live in this country.
Did you ever think that maybe those at Gitmo should’ve gotten a fair trial over the last 6 years? Reports are incomplete…because guess what? – There is nothing to put into the reports. Many of them have no solid evidence against them. Is it really okay to steal away 6 years of someone’s life? Because that is really what we did – yes, this was a detention facility but…in my mind, a nice name for prison.
Hi Robert: Thanks for the clarification. Sometimes in script when the ‘tone’ is missing, misunderstandings can occur. I have quite a few black friends and I am aware of the endearing terms that they use with each other. However, I could not tell from your comment if you were being endearing or not. And I was not sure if you were referring to Obama. I mean c’mon…a reader of my blog who works with Obama? The variety of people that read my blog still shocks me.
Anyway, in regards to your comment…you are so right. And, I am sure you are pissing off more than just Barbara’s husband. 100% of the republicans voting against the Stimulus package tells us, as Choe and Mosley pointed out the other day, that they choose ‘color’ over ‘country’. Yeah…11 Democrats voted against it too, but no surprise considering the states they represented. I just love how now they are so concerned about the money. Where was the concern over the money these past 8 years when our deficit was growing exponentially? Hmm…maybe because their pockets were too?
Throw in Rush Limbaugh who openly says that he hopes the Obama administration fails. Ya know Rhonda, there is a reason that Limbaugh’s show is so popular….a reason that it is nationally syndicated. You can’t have a popular show unless people, like your ‘imbecile’ brother, listen to him. That is the scary thing. Do I need to say it again? ‘Color over country’. Maddie gone wild is not a show I want to promote just yet. I think we can do better. You say my birth was a gift to the world – thank you. But I believe we are all here for a reason (besides tasty morsels for alien visitors :), and even if we aren’t, make something good up and run with it.
Tiffany: You sound like an intelligent woman. Have you expressed your viewpoints to your father? Don’t hold back – you’re right on. Many whites still want to believe that there time will come even though they have lost everything under the Bush badmin. Again….’Color over country’.
Hey Mary: I am sorry but you are going to have to tell me your last name. I knew several Marys at redwood. And there were quite a few times we all skipped school to go party when the parents were away. Thanks for the birthday wishes and come be my friend on facebook if you want to reconnect.
Hey Dafne: Hope to hear from you again when you have some time.
Now I really have to go.
Gratefully your blog host,
michelle

Eosinophilic fasciitis associated with L-tryptophan ingestion.
M E Hamilton
University of California, Davis, School of Medicine.
A 62 year old woman taking L-tryptophan developed eosinophilic fasciitis shortly after starting an exercise class. She received prednisone without benefit but improved after azathioprine treatment was started and L-tryptophan was discontinued. As products containing L-tryptophan have recently been implicated in development of the eosinophilia-myalgia syndrome it is suggested that the use of L-tryptophan might have contributed to the development of eosinophilic fasciitis in this patient. Similarities with toxic oil syndrome are noted. Additional studies are warranted to determine the prevalence of L-tryptophan ingestion among patients diagnosed as having eosinophilic fasciitis.

TALKING TO SOMEONE WHO DOESN’T “GET IT”
A constant conflict is going on across the country in homes, offices, boardrooms, schools… you name it. The trouble is expressed in these few words — “You just don’t understand.” While it’s commonly thought that this is a male-female battle, more often than not the conflict is between people who think with their heads versus those who “think” with their hearts. It is true, says life coach Lauren Zander of The HandelGroup — all too often head and heart people really don’t understand each other as one tries to logic out a problem, leaving the other feeling hurt or unheard. I spoke with Lauren to find out what people can do to resolve this age-old conflict in order to not only work and live together better, but also to understand that the differences can be of benefit to all involved.
UNIQUE GIFTS
In general, says Lauren, head people don’t dwell on their feelings, functioning instead in an unfettered, logical world that enables them to simplify and resolve challenges quickly. The pattern is reversed in heart people, who are loaded with feelings and must work through their sensitivity, empathy and compassion in order to find solutions — often in a slower, more circuitous fashion. Both types bring a great deal to life… and to each other. Indeed, life would be boring without having opposite personalities around. But to truly appreciate either approach — including the one that comes naturally to you — it is important to respect the validity of both.
First you need to determine exactly which camp you belong to, which may not be as easy as it seems. Some people can clearly see themselves as generally quite logical or quite emotional. But, many others are easily influenced by the people around them — becoming more logical when surrounded by very sensitive folks or sometimes allowing their creative side to come out when they are with like-minded individuals. Lauren says that most people are either/or — with exceptions around certain topics, such as discipline for kids. To figure out your type, observe yourself for a time and listen carefully for your true instinctive and immediate responses to a variety of life situations. Also, pay attention to what you wish you could “fix” about another person. Do you feel he/she should understand more, or instead be quicker, more sensible? Typically, people want to change others to be more like themselves.
BOTH ARE BEST
A common trap is to think, like high-school cheering squads, that your team is the best team. But head or heart is not better — just different. Assuming superiority breeds arrogance, which makes working together virtually impossible. To find out if you are judging the other camp, use the following arrogance meter:
* Do you roll your eyes (if even to yourself) when someone from the other camp has a “typical” response?
* Do you tend to cut people off when their reactions seem just so… odd?
* Are you angry when told you need to stay within time limits on a project or make a decision about a future plan?
* Does a lack of caring on the other’s part seem almost, well, criminal to you at times?
* Is it especially irritating to you when people seem to go on and on?
Even one or two yeses indicate some arrogance and you can bet it causes dysfunction in your relationships with people different from you. The reason: Arrogance about the “right” camp shows you have little regard for the other, and may actually blame those people for being the way they are. Lauren says this is common in the working world — the business side gets frustrated because the creative departments aren’t moving fast enough… the creatives are furious that the numbers people are asking them to meet a schedule. In marriages the clash pops up in a different way. The logical partner sighs that the other is being “too sensitive.” The heart partner feels dismissed, leaving the head partner skulking away in rejection for “just trying to help.”
THE YIN AND YANG OF THE HEAD AND HEART
As frustrating as it may be at first, fundamentally, head and heart people need each other. For instance, head people excel at discipline, but they may not find it easy to have fun. Heart people may find it challenging to structure themselves, but are really good at knowing how to enjoy life. An example: I used to become incredibly frustrated by my extremely logical brother — however, understanding our differences has allowed me to not only respect but also totally appreciate his perspective on life. I now realize that he provides insights that my more intuitive self is not capable of seeing.
Understanding how the two groups actually complement each other allows a much richer and happier experience for all involved. The challenge then is getting past the mutual distrust and disdain to enable creation of a shared life. Here is what Lauren advises:
* Become confident in your own style, but with appreciation of the other. This will eliminate fights about who is right and shift your focus to how best to work together.
* Learn to listen carefully and with empathy. It matters not whether you are a head person or a heart person — everyone needs to feel heard and understood.
* Be honest when you become arrogant and frustrated with someone’s different style… an apology may help to reconnect you.
What it all comes down to is learning to accept — and to love — each other just for what you are. It is really very simple, says Lauren. Just as cats have their nature and dogs have theirs, so do people. Fill yourself with appreciation for one another’s nature and in time you’ll be cheering, vive le difference!

Bush and his cronies are just good old southern boys who like gays in the closet, women on their backs, and blacks in the fields. As such we need to remember they are anti-American (still can’t get over they lost the Civil War), anti-poor people, religious bigots whose sole goal is their self-aggrandizement.
Every one of them is an Aldrich Ames in training who would sell this country down the river for their own benefit.

Robert you have a point. I can’t understand why Jews want to be part of a party that would put us in the ovens without second thoughts if they thought the world or Israel would stand still for it.
American Jews are for the most part wanna be whites trying to hide among people who hate them because they can’t easily distinguish us from them.

Oh hey, Misch, would you mind the mention of Maddie checking in on Anonz, maybe she didn’t see/read my comment requesting that mission?

I don’t believe that all black men are well endowed, I do believe that most white men do though. My husband who is white is easily intimidated by black men when out of his element. He is a six figure earning exec, who brings his black wife to mostly white only company functions. There he is the big shot full of ego and bravado.
When he attends any functions with me, he can barely be heard. I just don’t get it. He is all man. 6’3″ tall, 195 lbs, an athletic body to die for and the skill in basketball to match any black man I have seen him play against. I love him and I never have considered his color. He just was the one. So why the intimidation when we attend black functions?

I received your message. Sorry, I didn’t get back to you sooner. I did check on Anonz. What a character! He helped broker a deal with Israel for a unilateral ceasefire to enable Obama to have a bit of peace during and after his swearing in. He was in Gaza because 11 of his crew were ex Israeli military. They got called back to duty because of the invasion of the Gaza Strip. He went along to insure their safety and to show the arabs that he was impartial.
He exchanged military advice with some of the Somali pirates to insure safe passage through their territory when and if he has to beat a hasty retreat after or during his engagement with the Sudanese government. I am not sure when that operation will begin because he has recruited new personnel to replace the killed or injured he lost in the attempt by the team sent by the US to kill him.
He is hoping that he can get Obama to give him an opportunity to make his case about the secret military within the US that operates without its government approval.
He suffered a dislocated shoulder in the last skirmish but is doing well all things considered, He did suffer a brief period of food poisoning while he was in Somalia, but that has given him no real problems besides muscle stiffness. I will correct the side effects of the earth witch doctors’ medicine in two days. Then he should be completely operational again.
Some of the girls have commented on missing your blog comments. What’s up with that? I will be petitioning the Commander for a few of the girls to see if they can stop off in CA to see you before they head to their earthly destinations for their 30 day hiatus. Hope this will be okay with you.

I check in to see what’s new from time to time. I love it when I see one of the Girlz has checked in. So Madaline how is it going out there? When the girlz return are they coming with any powers? Are they here to stay or will they be returning. I got the 30 day thing, but what does that mean? Do they get to keep their memories?
How can I get to be a girlz?

Could you help us. I secretly married an american soldier. We want to come to the US. My mother has approved. But as my father is dead if my relatives find out they will kill me. We talked to his commander and was told that nothing could be done. I am being forced to return to my life here in Iraq. My husband is planning on going AWOL to live here with me. That would be suicide. He will be kidnapped and killed. He is afraid for me because if I am forced to marry someone here, I will be killed when my new husband finds out I am not a virgin. I am 20 years old. That is too young to die.
If you can not help me, please convince my american husband to leave when his time is up. I do not want him to get hurt. I love him and would rather he found someone else in America than to lose his life trying to protect me here. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

$18 billion dollars in bonuses paid by the banks to the men who caused the disaster after getting $250 billion tax payer dollars. The same senators make the auto industry make it workers give up their work bank after getting only $16 billion dollars.
Are Americans the dumbest citizens on the planet or what? Who are those guys? They reelect the same people and cry for change. When they get a man who promises them change they back him up with guys who say no to his change.
This is the country the free world is expecting to lead us out of worldwide recession. Who are we kidding?

Why is it necessary to warn the viewers about a woman who pretends emotion with a vegetable but it is okay for Lambaugh to say Obama expects white men to bend over and grab their ankles. I ask you which is the more vivid disgusting picture.
This just like when it wasn’t okay for a tampon commercial but it is okay for white men to run Viagra ads anytime of the day. It is always about the needs of the white man in America. I’m a 19 year old white man and I’m tired of it.

I’m with you Roger. I just saw a special about white lions being reintroduced into the wilds. White lions, the news media was all over it because as they gushed white lions are so beautiful. White lions are a aberration. Mother nature kills them off because they are white. We whites should be thankful that she didn’t assign the same fate to us.
If we keep trying to force the rest of the world to worship all things white, it might just happen. Frankly I am tired of the news fixating on whatever is the latest pathos of white america. The rest of America and the other 90% of the world’s inhabitants are here too.

I’m white and I married an American Chinese man who thinks he is white. I don’t know if he does it for me or because he is in denial. He hates OTWs and his own Chinese heritage. I didn’t find this out until after we were married. We never talked politics. My parents hate him because he is a rabid republican. He brags about voting for McCain.
I love this man. He is a gentle, loving father and husband. Our 15 year old son is just embarrassed to go any where with him because his father is always putting down other races. Both our children look totally white so they have never felt the sting of being treated as an OTW. My husband seems oblivious to the stings and barbs that are tossed his way my hateful whites.
Robert, my answer to you is I don’t know. We never visit his relatives so I don’t know what the other side’s opinion of us is. I have asked him what he thinks about the RNC picking a racist to head the party. His answer was that it was a better choice than picking the N word who was running against him.

The Arkansas House Committee on State Agencies and Governmental Affairs rejected a standard symbolic resolution congratulating Barack Obama on his historic victory this morning, 11-6. That was followed by a veto in the legislature to congratulate him on his election.
That’s my state and I am proud of real white men who refuse to accept a nigger in the white house. What are the liberals saying. People like the fools that write in on this blog and cry because we refuse to accept this nigger as our president. They say we are racists. Well fuck them.

How to Save Thousands on College Costs
Rick Darvis, CPA
Solutions for College, Inc.
If you haven’t saved enough for your child or grandchild’s college education, cheer up. The official tuition amounts colleges post on their Web sites mean even less than the sticker prices pasted on windows of new cars. If you understand how the financial aid game is played, you can find some generous unadvertised deals at colleges and universities throughout the country.
Here are the strategies that the top college-planning specialists share with their clients…
Don’t hesitate to apply for financial aid. Fill out financial aid forms even if you think you won’t qualify for needs-based aid. A couple making $130,000 a year, for instance, may still snag a needs-based aid package if their child ends up at a pricey institution, and the income ceiling for aid can rise significantly with more than one child attending college. Besides, the same paperwork often is necessary to qualify for tuition discounts and merit scholarships. Obtain a copy of the standard form, called the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), on-line at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov or from your school’s guidance department.
Ask for tuition discounts. Whether or not your family qualifies for financial aid, it pays to look for tuition discounts. The nation’s private colleges and universities are currently giving incoming freshmen an average tuition discount of 41%, according to CollegeBoard.com. These price breaks may be awarded regardless of the parents’ income.
To boost your chances, identify schools where your child’s scores on standardized tests and grades put him/her in the top quarter of the applicant pool. You can compare your child’s academic standing with that of students enrolled at a school by looking at student profiles posted on http://www.collegeboard.com and http://www.princetonreview.com (click on “College”).
Play on rivalries. Even if your child is not athletic, consider applying to schools that face off with one another on the football field or volleyball court. You’ll be exploiting their long-standing rivalry, not only in sports but in academics and other extracurricular pursuits. Schools don’t like losing good athletes or good students to other schools in their athletic conferences. Competing schools will learn where your child is applying because you list these colleges and universities on your financial aid form. To find out which universities are in the same athletic conference, go to ncaa.org.
Look beyond your own backyard. The school that most wants your child could be two or three time zones away. Colleges always are looking for students from faraway states to boost the geographic diversity of their campuses. California kids, for example, are in hot demand everywhere in the US except the West.
Play the cheap card. Even if your child would prefer to attend a pricey private school, make sure he applies to at least one in-state public university. When a private university believes it is competing with a cheaper alternative, it’s more likely to kick in money to seal the deal.
Select a college with empty seats. Some perfectly fine colleges and universities are rejected by students more than others. You can tell how often a school is spurned by asking about its enrollment yield. For instance, if a school accepts 1,000 students per year, but only 200 accept offers of admission, that’s a low 20% yield. Popular schools have yields in the 50% to 60% range. Schools with more seats to fill are motivated to entice a child to attend and often are willing to negotiate tuition based on other offers that the student has received. Your son or daughter also can apply to a school with a lower yield in hope of receiving a fat award package, which he can then use as leverage with schools that he really wants to attend.
Try negotiating. If you’re disappointed in the aid package your child receives from a college, don’t give up. It is possible to negotiate a better awards package, but don’t use the word “negotiate” with financial aid officers — they dislike the term. Instead say, “I would like to appeal the financial aid offer for my child.” When making an appeal, send copies of award letters from other colleges to the school your child really wants to attend.
