Hello.

Here’s a comment from our President in regards to the tragic shooting yesterday in Arizona, of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-Arizona), and the killing of U.S. District Judge John Roll, a Giffords staffer and a nine-year-old girl who are among the six confirmed fatalities:

And here’s a special comment from Keith Olbermann: “Violence and threats have no place in democracy”

Readers: I am feeling quiet this morning, although my head is reeling with thoughts…too many thoughts…the state of insanity of our country is very disturbing to me. Before I fail at articulating what I want to say, I’m just going to back out and say no more. The forum is open. Speak your mind.

Lastly, greed over a great story is surfacing from my “loyal”(?) readers. With all this back and forth about who owns what, that appears on my blog, let me reiterate that all material posted on my blog becomes the sole property of my blog. Although, I understand where the voices of hate that have posted yesterday come from, it is quite saddening to hear people WISH death upon others. This promulgation of hate and continuation to incite further violence, to anyone, is a sad case to those who spout these words. I’m sure they then walk into their worship establishment and ask their god for the convenient forgiveness of their sins, only to go back out into the world and spew their hate again. This is the fate of the human condition? Sad, very sad.

  2. Health Info Says:

    The Right Bandage

    Richard O’Brien, MD
    American College of Emergency Physicians

Despite the many types of bandages on the market now, all you need is traditional plastic strips in multiple sizes. Basics of wound care:

Wash the wound with soap and water… dry with a clean, dry cloth or air-dry… treat it with an antibiotic ointment… then protect it with a bandage.

Don’t buy bandages with antibiotics — they cost a lot and could contain medicine to which some people are allergic. Also, avoid bandages with painkillers — pain that continues after you treat a minor wound is a sign to see a doctor.

One worthwhile addition: Liquid bandages, such as New-Skin and Band-Aid Liquid Bandage, available at drugstores for about $7.

These can be used where ordinary bandages cannot — for example, on fingertips. But do not use antibiotic ointment with liquid bandages — it will dissolve the adhesive.

Personal interviewed Richard O’Brien, MD, spokesperson for the American College of Emergency Physicians (www.ACEP.org) and clinical instructor, Temple University School of Medicine, Philadelphia.

  3. Paul Says:

Main Dude it is easy for you to have the attitude you do, not because you are not genuinely a good person, I believe you are, but because you are white.

You are in the position that if you are wrong, you will still be an affirmative action baby. OTWS don’t have that luxury.

If we get stuck with the wrong party in charge, we may have to go back to the days of government sponsored terror by whites upon OTWS.

So forgive me if I would rather take the chance on whites killing each other than on them killing us.

I know that there are many whites like you who are as human as the rest of us. But if you fall into a pool of man-eating sharks would you be willing not to shoot hoping that you would be protected by the few man-eaters who were civilized?

    Paul

  4. Lana Says:

    Michelle;

My cousin says that his unit were sent to the Philippines to hold passengers on a Continental Airlines flight heading to Guam from the Nancy Aquino International Airport in Manila.

The passengers were kept in hotels in Manila until they sorted it out. He said that the alien must have escaped because there was so much excitement and cursing.

Does anyone else know about this?

    Lana

  5. Lea Says:

    Hafa Adai Michelle.

President Obama has acted to protect the sharks. One of our own proposed the legislature that got it started. Here is the story.
    ===========================
H.R. 81, the Shark Conservation Act of 2010, reconfirms the original intent of Congress to prevent shark finning by prohibiting the removal of fins at sea and the possession, transference, or landing of fins not naturally attached to the corresponding carcass, according to a press release from Bordallo’s office.

The Shark Conservation Act of 2010 was introduced on Jan. 6, 2009, by Congresswoman Bordallo as Chairwoman of the Subcommittee on Insular Affairs, Oceans, and Wildlife.

Sen. John Kerry of Massachusetts introduced companion legislation, S. 850, in the U.S. Senate.

“I thank Sen. Kerry for his support of the Shark Conservation Act of 2010 and President Obama for signing this bill into law,” said Bordallo.

“This critical conservation measure and enforcement mechanism will help to end the wasteful and abusive practice of shark finning and make the United States a world leader in shark conservation,” she said. “Putting an end to shark finning is imperative to the conservation of this species and I look forward to seeing these important measures properly implemented.”
    ============================

I like Obama. I really don’t see what is not to like.

    Lea

  6. Ralph Says:

Lea, more than 100 passengers were kept in Manila for 2 days. I don’t know about looking for alien(s) but I know there was a lot of chatter going on in Manila.

Somebody was looking for something because my ham picked up a lot of sub and satellite chatter about the flight.

    Ralph

  7. Doug The Main Dude Says:

    Paul,
I was referring to the shooting in AZ yesterday. I don’t find where your point holds in reference to that shooting. Again, although I understand your point, however what you are referring to is anarchy. Neither one of us wants that…I think…we’re close enough…

  8. Nancy Says:

Here is another example of the racist voting against his own best interest.
    —————————————————–
: California congressman Howard “Buck” McKeon is the next chairman of the House Armed Services Committee. He doesn’t have any military experience — he spent the Vietnam era on a Mormon missionary retreat and a twenty-nine year quest (1956-1985) for a BA from Brigham Young — but he did bankrupt his family’s western wear company, so he knows how to order shirts no one wants. You can see why he’s the perfect man to oversee America’s trillion-dollar defense budget.
    —————————————
I live, play, and am one of these people. I live in a part of the country that I have no choice but to accept them into my life. There are no non whites within miles of our social places.

Some live around and work with us, but they know their place and they certainly wouldn’t attempt to enter our places of worship, or attempt to enter one of our social establishments.

I don’t say this to be mean. I am just speaking the truth. I don’t know if I would like to interact with non whites on a social level, but I do know that I am tired of associating with men who spew racial epithets and claims of racial superiority.

If they are superior to anyone it would have to be morons or the brain dead. I get no satisfaction from my association with them. But I have no other outlet for social interaction in this community. To do so would surely cause ostracism and or personal harm of me and my family.

I have a master’s degree in economics and I manage an office of mostly white men. I work in a place were women who are on the lower end of the employment structure are sexually harassed and accept it as a part of the job.

Where I work the men fear and resent women who become their bosses. We are referred to in the most degrading and despicable sexual manner behind our backs. Often times my employment equivalent will tell me what I have been referred to as and then laugh.

I married one of those crude b**t**ds. I didn’t know any better at the time. By the time I did I was the mother of 3 boys and 2 girls.

Today their ages range from 21 to 17. At 51 I am ready to leave this place. I am only waiting for my 17 year old daughter to reach 18.

I live with little men who need to believe that being white makes them better than the rest of the world. As much as I have tried to influence them differently, 2 of my boys and 1 of my daughters are as bad as the rest. I will not miss them either.

I have no idea where I will go but I will leave this state.

    Nancy

  9. General Info Says:

To Get the Best Customer Service, Check Your Pessimism at the Door

    Chip R. Bell
    John R. Patterson

Expect great service, and you probably will get it. Set the right tone from the beginning — the first 10 seconds of interaction provides the foundation for the remainder of the encounter.

Make salespeople feel special or empowered. Start your question or request with, “I really need your help, and you seem like just the person who can help me.

” Be forthright about your expectations to eliminate any guesswork on the salesperson’s part. Be assertive, but not pushy or rude.

Remember that you are a customer, not a master. The salesperson’s job is to provide you with a service, not to be your servant.

Personal interviewed Chip R. Bell, Gun Barrel City, Texas, and John R. Patterson, Atlanta, customer loyalty consultants and authors of Take Their Breath Away: How Imaginative Service Creates Devoted Customers (Wiley). http://www.taketheirbreathaway.com

  10. Gina Says:

Nancy, I am living your experience. But I see no escape. I sleep and fuck the beast that lies next to me each night. I have to use artificial pussy wetners to fuck him.

I have no respect for this hypocrite that lies next to me every night. He portrays himself as this person seriously concerned about the state of the nation when he is only interested in how much money he can make.

He is so happy about what happened in Arizona that he spends hours on the phone and the net congratulating members of his political party about what it could all mean for them.

If I hear him say “white men have finally heard the call of their nation” one more time I may bash his head in myself.

I lie next to this creep every night pretending feelings for him.

There is no god or I would not be here.

    Gina

  11. Julia Says:

I can’t believe that my race elected this scum to represent us in the House.
