If McCain Could Get Pregnant – Man Boobs and all!
Posted by Michelle Moquin on October 16th, 2008
Okay, so McCain’s best line was, ‘If you wanted to run against President bush…blah blah blah.’ Like everyone else, I’ll give him points for that one too but that’s it. That was his only highlight for the evening. Look, Obama wouldn’t keep bringing it up if it wasn’t true – The guy voted 90% with Bush…Don’t tell me it won’t be McSame Same if he’s elected.
All I felt from him was anger and stubbornness, which only evoked my own anger, especially when he called women’s health ‘extreme’. It is obvious that McCain doesn’t seem to understand that women’s health matters. It’s obvious that he doesn’t trust women to decide what is in the best interest of their own health. If I were his wife I would slap him in the face. I’m embarrassed for her.
Okay, so he’s against abortion; a pro lifer – fine. But don’t push your morals and your decisions on me. Don’t start talking like you have any idea what a woman goes through when she becomes pregnant. I was ready to strangle him when he so casually mentioned that ‘we’ll help with the adoption process if you don’t want the child’ or something to that affect. (Not his exact words but you get the picture.) Well what if I just don’t want to be pregnant period? Sorry that I don’t want to carry a child for nine months, just so that you can help me give it away. Sorry, I have a life and maybe I just don’t want to give it up for nine months watching my stomach grow and going through all kinds of emotions that you can never relate to. How easy it is for you to basically say, ‘carry the child and we’ll help with the adoption process’, when you have absolutely no idea what a woman goes through emotionally as well as physically. You make it sound so easy.
Okay, McCain, you carry a baby for nine months that you don’t want. You wake up to morning sickness and tender breasts. You watch parts of your body get fatter than they have ever been. You feel all of your organs pushing up against each other making room for a growing life. You handle all of the mood swings and changes to your body not knowing if you’ll ever lose the added weight. Oh…and don’t forget, you now have man boobs! And an added bonus; they’re filled with milk! You’re craving strange foods and for some reason you just don’t feel as sexy as you used to.
Then at around nine months, you piss in your pants – oops my water broke! It’s delivery time. Legs in the air, you begin to push that baby out of your ass (I’m using this as an example only…you’ll see why shortly) stretching you in ways you didn’t think you could stretch, feeling so much pain that you want to kill, shouting expletives to whoever put you in this position. (And yes women who have chosen to be pregnant by their significant other have felt this way too, so you can imagine the feelings of one who does not choose to be.) Then after hours of agonizing labor, you pop that baby out; have it swept from your arms to never have another thought of it again. Yeah …right. Oh but wait….your asshole has been stretched so much that guess what? You’re shitting in your pants; you have lost control of your bowl movements. Oh…but don’t worry…a little stitch or two will tighten it up in no time and you’ll be back to ‘normal’.
Normal? Forget the fact that you never wanted this little bundle of joy, but that you can’t seem to forget about him or her. Forget that you never wanted this baby but that you bonded with it anyways while it grew inside of you. Forget that as much as you know you made the right decision for you, it still weighs on you heavily and you wonder…
Or….roll back nine months and you get to have that abortion and be done with it. Now, I know that I am making abortion sound simple when it really isn’t. I have had one and I can tell you it was an easy decision for me, although I would never want to have to go through it again. But I am sure for many others, it is difficult. For me carrying a baby that I had no desire to have would be much harder on me, just like for the pro lifers, it would be more difficult to abort than to go through with the pregnancy.
The point is ‘choice’ and having the right to make the best ‘choice’ for yourself. When a woman is ready to have a baby, she is aware and accepts the physical changes and emotional challenges that she will encounter. She has made this ‘choice’. But when a woman does not want a baby, and her ‘choice’ is taken away, she may have physical and emotional baggage, for lack of a better word, that she did not choose to carry. The right to choose is the way to go.
McCain will never get this. Why? Not just because it could never happen to him. But because he has blatantly shown that he has no respect for women, women issues, and women’s health. He just doesn’t care. Period.
Readers: I know this is a sensitive subject. Talk to me ~ blog me.

Hey Beingajoe: I agree with you. I would’ve said a lot more about Palin than Obama did in the debate but then again, I’m not running for president. And I did check out those websites a bit – thanks for forwarding.
Doug: As I have said before so many times to you…Unless people do their homework, they will believe the lies as truth.
Hi Kali: Thank you. Sometimes I have a hard time finding the words too, but then I am practicing every day. :)
Hello Ling: Wow, you are trying to understand how we pick our leader and learning English too. My gut is that you may just know more than the average American.
Beverly: Obviously money doesn’t buy everything. I hear it is just as easy to love a rich man as it is to love a poor man but I think that is just a line. Money definitely makes life easier, no doubt, but it is the emptiness and lack of connection that I could not live with regardless of whether there is money or not. When times are hard, and money is absent, it is the love and connection that will see you through the hard times. And on the other hand, I have friends who are very wealthy, and very lonely…and very stuck. I hope that you find your true love.
England: I have always wished that we could let go of this party system and get modern. It is an antiquated system and just doesn’t work in my mind. I have always thought that we should vote on the issues and elect a president that will support those issues.
Ireland: I think you answered your own question.
Helena: I think I’ve already said enough on this subject. :)
Hello Zen Lill: Oh…No offense taken, just wanted to add my two and continue the convo. How’s the adrenalin today? Not only do we need to think about bigoted deep pockets, but this new news from Anonz is most disturbing…..
Anonz: Is there nothing you can do to stop this? You obviously have influence. Is there anything that I can do on my blog…or the readers? If people, meaning me and my readers, know about it beforehand, could we not flood the media with our knowledge? Surely, if word got out there who was behind this atrocity, maybe we could prevent it? I know it sounds lofty but it is very difficult hearing this come from you just to sit around waiting till d-day. And if you were to tell us the exact time, date and whereabouts on my blog, how would the government react knowing you have given this information? They are watching my blog.
What position would that put me in knowing that I have this information? Would I be willing to stand up for my country if I knew my actions could save lives and prevent McCain from living in the White House? Yes.
Readers: If Anonz provides us with the exact time, date, and whereabouts of this terrorist act, would you stand up and doing something? This is really something I think we need to think about. I would love to hear from you on this – flood the lines ~ blog me.
OH ZL: I am so sorry…I have been so wrapped up in my own stuff and this darn election that I can not wait to end! I just had to come back and add….Happy Birthday!!
Gratefully your blog host,
michelle

Nicely said. For those that may be interested in what Joe Biden thinks:

I feel that the freedom to choose is our most important right in this country. The precident that can be set for the freedom of choice on anything if Roe is turned will take this country back hundreds of years…

On the run, adrenalin along with everything else – HIGH as well is should be : )
Happy Birthday to me and I am going to celebrate no matter what’s going on in the world.
I’ll concern myself with anonz’s pronouncement if and when he announces that we definitely should be and even then, he has more control over outcome than a peon like me : ) if all the bills in the world would rally against poverty and hunger instead of playing high stakes poker to gain more power (like two year old’s – mine, mine, mine…!!!) while little people go down, and they pretend it’s all about bigots, yudda yudda yudda – we might attain ‘whirled peas’ and have a stable world to live in. UNTIL they give a shit, it’s probably a no deal no matter who gets in. Big money runs the show. Now, anonz, my dear sweet pea, seriously, what kind of ‘world show’ would you like to see? I can forgive (and appreciate, hahaha) your ‘blinders’ in terms of being a bills and playing the poker game/protecting investments/bills make more bills/keeping the power/hating the bigots/ry but c’mon now…where’s your two cents on the above sentiment re: people who did not incite any of this current bullshit?
Misch, Cheers and I second your response to Beverly
Also, overturning Roe V Wade only means horrible health care for women – why are men/gov’t in women’s uterus’s still??? & I’m with Obama re: let’s lower the rate of unwanted pregnancy, how many teens know that taking antibiotics, any kind, lowers the pill’s 99% effectiveness to 88% so if you’re a natural fertile Myrtle you’ve got an unwanted sitch on your hands, so educate and regulate the health care but seriously old white men should have NO say…neither should a wealthy and very politically influential religion. Sorry…see below…
http://www.lilliandevin.com/ ‘I mean no offense to the religious but I am an OEW an opinionated expressive wench’ a commenter’s acronym for me and dammit, I like it.
Based on the above description of pregnancy – yuck – guess I got lucky, found out at 12 weeks, no symptoms craved only oranges at 2AM for months and then the little bugger was removed via the tiniest scar you’ll ever see, c section, she was practicing her yogi position in there. Would I want to do it again? No thanks, I’m good with the one : ) still have a life, decent body, it’s all good as is…
Off to start the partying, Zen Lill : )

How to Develop Charisma
Ruth Sherman
Ruth Sherman Associates, LLC
Charisma isn’t something people are born with. It’s a set of skills that most of us can master. Here’s how…
DISPLAY CONFIDENCE
A charismatic person can walk into a group of strangers and quickly make friends. An uncharismatic person hangs uncomfortably on the edge of the crowd, unable to make a connection. If you’re not naturally outgoing, mingling might be uncomfortable for you, but you can do it successfully if you follow these rules…
Walk purposefully. At a party or business function, don’t wander around aimlessly. Set goals before the get-together.
Example: Resolve to meet three new people at a party or give out 10 business cards at a meeting.
Offer intriguing introductions. Don’t just give your name during introductions. Say something about yourself that will draw a question and lead to a conversation.
Example: Don’t say, “Hi, I’m Bob Jones,” say, “I’m Bob Jones. I am an attorney specializing in copyright and patent law.”
Ensure that at least one person isn’t a total stranger. If you’re anxious about entering a room full of strangers, find out who will be going and call one person ahead of time to introduce yourself.
Example: If you’re attending an organization’s annual meeting, call the president. Ask a question or two about the event, and then ask if he/she would be willing to introduce you around when you arrive. You’ll meet plenty of people, and they’ll think of you as a friend of the most important person in the group.
FOCUS ON WHAT YOU WANT
Charismatic people are passionate about the things they believe in. Those perceived as lacking charisma typically have no passion… or consider it pushy or egotistical to state their opinion or talk about successes. Be aware that for every person who finds persistence and passion overbearing, many more will find it persuasive.
Example: You send an E-mail to 20 contacts concerning a project you believe in. Two of the 20 ask to be taken off your list for future messages. How do you respond? A charismatic person wouldn’t be shaken by the two who asked to be taken off the list. Instead, he/she would be encouraged by the 18 that didn’t.
BE A GOOD LISTENER
When people think that you value their opinions, they’re predisposed to value yours. Conversely, if you appear disinterested, you can expect others to be unreceptive when you speak. Strategies…
Make eye contact. Don’t let your attention drift even if you’re at a crowded party and your inclination is to say hello to friends who pass by.
Ask follow-up questions that show you’re paying attention but don’t excessively challenge the speaker.
Put yourself in the shoes of the person speaking. If someone is telling a story, imagine that it happened to you. When you do, your facial responses will show sincere interest.
Make short comments that validate the speaker’s emotions. If the story is about fighting against a bureaucracy, say, “You must have felt so powerless.”
APOLOGIZE
When a charismatic person makes a mistake, he doesn’t get defensive or point fingers. That alienates others and makes him appear small and petty. Strong and self-assured people accept blame and apologize, which makes others view them with respect.

Misch, thanks for the ammended blog entry, the b’day wishes, the phone call, the cool chat re: bloggin’ and the lengthy response to my blog entry, you and Al Koholik had some things to say…!!
Hey sweet pea, you don’t need to respond to the above – I know you won’t anyway ;) I’m going to flow with believing in something larger…will not explain that, just something Mischa and I discussed, though we spent much more time talking about ME since it’s my special day, hahaha
OK, and now I am really out of here…ciao!

HI MICHELLE, It feels good to comment — Like the ‘Good Ole’ Days’. I would write more frequently, however I have been coached by Carr as to what is really going on and I must not tell the blog readers what I learned — even the Terrorist attack which will happen just before the big Election 2008. It is a last ditch effort for McCain to get the American Public terror-stricken by the act of Terrorism and Terrorists on our soil so they will vote for the Candidate most likely to wage war (McCain).
The ‘Masses’ will be likely to ignore Obama and vote for the stronger, more Military Party to ease the Fear of Terrorism on U.S. Soil.
I wish Obama much luck after this ploy. The only action I can take right now is to vote for obama. It is my action as well as the average disabled person’s way of helping him to win the Election. Remember not to wear Obama T-Shirts or carry banners because it will be seen as Political Campaigning and you will not get to vote if endorsing a Candidate.
TAL, ADAM, GLEIA, & ZMIV:
How are you all? I have not been in touch with the TAO in quite a while. I know you are the 4 that might be stuck behind — possibly forever.
If so, perhaps we can speak face-to-face one day. I know that I am interested in your culture and thoughts. Perhaps you, Tal will be interested in what I have locked up in me?
I know that Michelle, your faithful Human as well as Zen Lill are long gone from this Planet and have left replacements behind. I can actually see the changes in their personalities on the blog. They are not exact duplicates. I am surprised no one notices where it counts. I am aware of the frigid plans you have planned this disturbs me. Readers will also see that Michelle’s blog will end in the not to distant future for lack of caring by Michelle’s replacement. She just doesn’t have it in her to be B.A.B.E.
It seems to me that you sacrificed yourselves for your Commander Azza. I commend your loyalty. Speaking as a Linear being, I am limited to living in a linear world and time flows differently for me.
Why do you not ask for help from Carr? He can make things right in a fraction of a second. Since he will not speak directly to you, I would gladly ask for you but first you must ask me instead of screwing around with my body and mind. I am very aware of that as well. I am not as ignorant as you believe I am. I feel like a puppet who’s strings are being pulled by a stranger and feel uncomfortable and a bit disturbed. I don’t think you would like it done to you.
Do you wish to move forward or keep trying to do things your way Tal? I know you are the most intelligent of all the TAO. However this mess you and you comrades are in could be slow to change. Let us look at the repercussions. I am aware of what has occurred. Do you not prefer your problems solved instantly, allowing you a way out of this Galaxy?
You know how to reach me. I am a primitive Human but perhaps I can be of help to you Tal. Contact me if you wish. I haven’t gone anywhere although when I become tired of this slow process I will ask Carr to fulfill my wish and grant me a boon by taking me away from here. I haven’t got the patience to wait forever. Would You?

Why does the country that claims to be the standard barer of democracy, engage in campaigns that call for the murder of the opposing candidate?
