Greed lives here too
Posted by Michelle Moquin on April 20th, 2011
Danny: “Since no one was claiming them”? Do you even pay attention to the last thing that I add to my blog write everyday? I didn’t think so or you wouldn’t ask me such a bold and stupid question. What gall you have asking me to make it convenient for you to steal from me.
Let me reiterate to all out there…“All material posted on my blog becomes the sole property of my blog.” (Of course if it was written on a prior locations such as She’s poetry, it is not my property.) What is not clear? It is people like you Danny that inspired me to remove my blog roll, and privatize my writes.
Jarod: Sorry about that. You can thank the greedy opportunists for depriving you of a good read. As usual the greedy ruin it for everyone else.
Readers: I have no doubt that people have already stolen many ideas here for the next big hit, the next money maker movie, and they will continue to do so, but don’t think I am going to sit back and make it easy. I have sat back for too long already. I wish I had done something a long time ago. That was my stupidity.
I feel like I do a good thing here. I spent a lot of dedicated time building this blog to the status that it has risen to, and I did it not even aware that I was doing it.
Yes, in the beginning, I like everyone else who has started a blog, hoped my blog could bring in some revenue for my time. I still do and It hasn’t. I have made sacrifices in my life to continue this blog. This more than a part time job takes away time from a job that makes me money, takes away time that I could be working out, hanging out with friends and family, etc. But I give up my precious time, something that we all have so very little of, for the betterment of this world for all.
If I didn’t believe I was doing something good for people…for the world…if I didn’t believe that I had the power in this venue to do more, believe me I wouldn’t be making such sacrifices. Life is short, and as much as I am passionate about the things I blog about, I’m not that altruistic. I am not a Mother Teresa. I’d love to get paid for my time.
However, I continue to write because even though what I am doing has not brought me value in terms of the dollar, it brings the intangible value…of insight, depth, connection, to a degree I am not even aware of. I know I and this blog, including my readers, have brought about change…and that change continues to ripple throughout the world. And that is what drives me to continue. Money is not the driving force. Bringing in revenue would not make me continue to blog, nor will the lack of it prevent me from continuing to write my blog. I have made a commitment to be here either way.
And my commitment to write is out of my passion to do something good, to learn, to inspire…to give myself a voice, give women a voice, give the animals a voice, and obviously give my readers an unedited platform to vent and rant and tell their stories. At this point I don’t think I couldn’t stop blogging if I wanted to.
That being said, I don’t say this to get recognition. Many people make sacrifices much more greater in life than I. And these sacrifices are my choice. It is my contribution. And I really enjoy doing it.
So yeah, I get a little pissy when I’m not getting a financial benefit from my years here, and greedy opportunists stroll in, read, see the dollar signs flash before their eyes…and then steal from me and others, and financially benefit from copying and claiming as their own.
However…why would I think that like life in the real world, the blog world would be any different? It isn’t. Greed lives here too.
She: Unfortunately it won’t be the last reminder that humans are greedy opportunists.
I’m done with my rant. Whatever you want to say, say it here. blog me.
Lastly, greed over a great story is surfacing from my “loyal”(?) readers. With all this back and forth about who owns what, that appears on my blog, let me reiterate that all material posted on my blog becomes the sole property of my blog. If you want to reserve any proprietary rights don’t post it to my blog. I will prominently display this caveat on my blog from now on to remind those who may have forgotten this notice.
Gratefully your blog host,
michelle

Michelle, I hear you. I believe I know why you aren’t making money on your blog and I think that was a very noble decision you made. Please don’t get discouraged. I know you spend a lot of time on making the blog successful. I appreciate what you are doing very much. And to back that up, TODAY, I am going to hit the DONATE BUTTON. I can’t give much but perhaps my doing so may cause others to follow my lead….. (Hey, that’s YOU out there!) Everybody, remember, Michelle must pay hosting fees, etc. to keep this blog going. I know times are tough for all, so anything, no matter how small, would be appreciated I am sure. GIVE a little $ up if you can. Show Michelle the Love!

Michelle:
It is sad that you decided to erase the past of this blog. It is very interesting and helps people understand the timeline which leads to the present day.
It explains certain characters and their opinions and beliefs — such as George the Racist, Robert, and who Zen Lill, me, and even Doug is.
Erasing the past cannot prevent anyone from coming up with another sci-fi movie or book. There are thousand of them all over the place including cyberspace blogs.
Sci-Fi is a big seller during these days of uncertainty in the world as it was in the late 50′s and early 60′s.
People are dazed and confused about tomorrow. Why worry about your story. It does not flow like a story anyway. It takes place over 3+ years and does not hold up well as a storyline because it is little patches of Alien comments about happenings which took place in the past 3+ years.
You have NOTHING to worry about. You, yourself could not have a difficult time putting together a logical storyline. Admit it.
Many events concerned Carr and the Tao. They could be any Aliens in any movie. You do not own the copyright on Extraterrestrials. They have been coming here since Earth was born.
No one has or will be able to cheat you out of your “Great Story”. It has not ended — It is only the beginning. The Earth’s species have been dealing with Alien intervention and will continue to do so.
As far as Movies go, there are so many fictional ideas which are more believable than ‘MM Blog Story.’ Why be concerned?
This is what I believe. How are Aliens just coming here supposed to learn anything about the Tao or all the other Aliens who have visited your blog? Must they go on believing we live in the “Wild West”?
Lighten up. I am loyal to my friends and have some integrity. I would never take a bribe to tell what I know.
You are showing a sign of weakness by killing the past of your blog. Hiding and Forgetting the past never works.

Zen Lill as Anonymous 9:
You humble me with your comment in 9 yesterday. Why after so much time do you tell me these things? I only write what I think may be interesting to Humans or Aliens — depending on the comment. I have a really knowledgeable source who keeps me in the know about these things.
Addictive? I don’t know, but now it is impossible for readers and especially Newbies, to go back and read about what led up to a certain action by Aliens. They cannot read about the TWO, or Sweeteno or get to hear the name Azza, Tal, Smiv, Gleia, Adam, Viv, or Tony and understand where they fit in to this bolg. They cannot understand our individual personalities because they have no past to understand us by.
As it is, people think they know us better than we know us, or they accuse of as being fakes. If they had a history to read, they would know who we are.
Michelle will always be known for her hosting the blog,. But no one will know that she never missed a day posting in all these years.
I do not like returning rudeness with rudeness either, but sometimes newbies come in and do not know who or what anyone is. They are forced to assume and that can turn out bad. Sometimes they believe this is all nonsensical junk because they are thrown into chaos as far as they know.
We will see what the future brings to this top 100 blog. It does not mean it will stay there. The Archives helped one understand what the hell is going on here. Greed destroyed it.
… Just an opinion from a friend.

Hi Mischa, hmmm, I’m understanding where you’re coming from and definitely appreciate what you do, I know how long it takes to host/post a blog. I am rethinking posting everyday and will probably move to every other just to fulfill my ‘paid’ life duties until I can host products that are currently being tested. I would never sell anything I haven’t tried for a time, morally that’s just me, others can post ads/links and not care – so I do know what you speak of in terms of energy (now I remember why I just started at it again).
Like you, I would love to make money and make it doing that which I love to do, writing and (well, you help the world) and me, I try to help others to love themselves, – as is (minus a few lbs if they want : ) – and to see a new perspective of life/living every now and again. I feel like you do, this whole blogging thing is not about me but about serving others to a degree that I can, though it does take a LOT of time. I would love for you and anyone posting anything of value to see a reasonable roi (of time and energy expended).
On your blog, you do have one thing majorly going for you…you could, at this point, literally write a 2 sentence intro, then say ‘blog me’ and bc of the following and cast of characters we’d all still chime in on whatever topics of the day we chose : ) you’re fortunate that way. BUT, you’re also diligent and I know you would not do that very often but why not do that a few days a week so you can catch up on whatever you want? Anyway, that’s just me blabbing bc I know the drill and it’s hard, especially for no financial payoff…
The other part of me (I’m a mosaic of personality aspects, can’t help it, might be a Libran trait : ) agrees with Howie, it’s been 3+ years and I haven’t seen a movie where a God has the Climax dangling around his neck as a locket, nor have we seen Azza and Tao et al beam up Howie and Al (Woody Allen and his twin bro) on CARR’s demand (did I just make that up?) and we sure have not seen Ms Roberts beamed to the Climax for ancient brew with you (who could play you? How about Penelope CRuz, hot and hot!) and the early girlz, hmmmm…throw in Anonz (Colin Firth or Liam Neeson? Or some other classy handsome actor…?) and now we’ve moved from Sci-fi to action/drama/romantic comedy…why haven’t you written it?? There’s your financial benefit, it’s yours BABE!
I’m sure everyone would love to see that and the pre-quels and sequels (with twin babies and a wedding only outdone by the freaking royals!) – anyway, you want that? – I am at your bidding to assist with the writes. Tell me when hyou can come down or I can come up, have a hankering for an in person session with you anyway : )
Social butterfly, I wanted to agree (or say cheers?) with whatever your comment yesterday was and now I cannot remember the content, duh, =synapse lapse= oh well, it’s #17 yesterday.
That’s it, Luv, Zen Lill

I commend Michelle on her decision. Her work to make this blog happen goes appreciated, all in all, by few. It is noticed by the millions around the world that read, the thousands that attempt to comment, and those that comment and do get in. I see her workload everyday, and many nights, and I also pay a price for her many hours spent on it, for lost personal time. For what? People to chime in and blatantly tell her they wish to copy her work. In doing so, without even a donation of any kind. It is quite sad really. People peruse through the internet looking to simply take and not give. Even a one and only sole comment from some that are, “hey, what up about your previous writes? I can’t find them to steal your work?! Can you put it back for me so I can finish my book…” It is truly unbelievable!
Howie, I can understand where you are coming from, although, this is not about Aliens, or all of the other content that is on this blog, to which Michelle works her ass off for. It is not about getting a story or a movie out. There are stories and movies made everyday, from people who actually think and create. This is about pride in one’s work, and integrity of that work. The sad truth this represents is that despite the DAILY writing in this blog for over 3 years, there are many people who could give a shit about any of that and only come here for their own ego and benefit. Aliens coming here have learned before, and will learn in the future either with or without this blog. If they can travel back in time, they will be able to check in and read every post since day one. This is not the only outlet for aliens to get information from, or disseminate information. After someone puts in the kind of time, energy, care, thought and much more on a daily basis to something like this blog and only then be in the same shoes to say anything of judgement to this issue.
I guess, for those who wish to steal from this venue will have to check in and read it every day, and copy what they find appropriate for their cause in a linear timeline. Wow, bummer. That means some people might have to actually work.
As far as the aliens go, I’m sure, if they really needed to check things out and were pressed for information, they would know how to do so.

Doug:
I appreciate your view. It has merit. Michelle works very hard to keep the blog going. I even commended her for that in my comment above.
I also mentioned that if people actually work and come up with creative ideas, they can create Sci-Fi as they have done, and continue to do for 60 years and more. This blog is not a great place to piece together any story which flows because comments are posted in a way that makes it difficult to sew together as a story.
I do not believe michelle has anything real to worry about. That’s about the gist of my thoughts.
I just believe that the archives were a way to get to know and understand what is going on on Michelle’s blog.

Doug:
Another good idea. We have the same goal in this regard … to make sense out of what seems like chaos to a newcomer.
I do not desire to take the spotlight off our Host, Michelle, who has been dilligent all these years. There is no argument. This is Michelle Moquin’s blog and she does a great job carrying it out.
I just know that if i first appeared and I did not know who was who and what they stood for, it would have seemed chaotic at times. Much has happened in these few years.
You know what I mean. Politically, Socially and Extra Terrestrially.
Even ZL agrees with her humor: “it’s been 3+ years and I haven’t seen a movie where a God has the Climax dangling around his neck as a locket, nor have we seen Azza and Tao et al beam up Howie and Al (Woody Allen and his twin bro) on CARR’s demand (did I just make that up?) and we sure have not seen Ms Roberts beamed to the Climax for ancient brew with you.”
There is much unfinished business that will play out in the future. I hope all turns out well.

Get Hypnotized, Get Healthier
Benjamin Kligler, MD, MPH
Hear the word “hypnosis” and you may think of a stage show — a guy in a turban dangling a pocket watch and making you cluck like a chicken or behave in some other silly and uncharacteristic way.
This is not at all what modern hypnotherapy is like.
Reality: Ericksonian hypnosis (named after American psychiatrist Milton Erickson, who pioneered the techniques used today) is a collaboration between you and a trained health-care practitioner that can help you achieve specific health goals.
Hypnotherapy does not use commands, such as, “Now you will do what I say.” Instead, the practitioner offers gentle, nonauthoritative suggestions when you are in a highly relaxed state.
The idea behind hypnosis is that there is no separation between body and mind — so you can access the healing potential of the unconscious mind to move yourself in a healthful direction.
Unlike classical hypnosis, which works on only a small subset of highly suggestible people, Ericksonian hypnosis can help almost anyone — though it is most effective for those who are motivated and accepting of treatment.
HELP FROM HYPNOSIS
Research shows that hypnotherapy helps treat a variety of physical and psychological problems, including…
Anxiety
Chronic pain
Insomnia
Irritable bowel syndrome (recurring bouts of diarrhea and/or constipation)
Menopausal hot flashes
Nausea
Overeating
Phobias, such as claustrophobia or fear of flying
Sugar addiction
Tobacco addiction.
Examples: One study found that a single 15-minute hypnosis session significantly decreased pain and anxiety in women under going breast cancer surgery — and, for unknown reasons, also shortened the procedure time in the operating room.
In another study, 68% of women with menopausal hot flashes showed reduced symptom severity and frequency, as well as decreased insomnia, after hypnosis.
How it works. Everybody has chatter in the conscious mind that can get in the way of healthful behaviors, such as controlling consumption of sweets or not panicking in an elevator.
Hypnosis quiets the conscious mind so your unconscious can come in and say, “Wait a minute, we’re trying to be healthier here” — making it easier to turn down that donut or stay calm in the elevator.
Hypnosis relieves physical symptoms, such as pain or hot flashes, by reducing stress hormones that contribute to physical ailments.
Hypnosis by itself does not cure the problem — rather, it creates a heightened state of awareness that opens the way for your own willingness to bring about the desired changes.
Hypnotherapy can focus on symptom reduction… strategies for coping with stress… resolution of personal problems… and/or personality development.
WHAT TO EXPECT IN TREATMENT
Typically, the first session with a hypnotherapist lasts one hour. During this visit, the practitioner asks questions about your particular problem — when symptoms began, other treatments you have tried, how the issue affects your life and stress level.
Because hypnotherapy is highly individualized, this information helps determine the most appropriate treatment for you. Hypnosis may or may not be done during this first session.
A course of hypnotherapy generally ranges from three to eight sessions, with each weekly hypnosis session lasting about 30 to 40 minutes. Sometimes patients return months or years later for a “booster” session.
During a session, you sit on a comfortable chair or couch in a quiet and softly lit room. Usually your eyes are closed, but you can hear everything around you.
Speaking in a soothing voice, the practitioner leads you into an induction, a trancelike state of deep relaxation. One common technique is the body scan.
The practitioner asks you to focus on your feet, relaxing the muscles there. Next you focus on feeling the relaxed sensation in your ankles, your calves, your knees. Over five to 10 minutes, the practitioner guides you to relax your entire body.
While you are in a state of deep relaxation, the practitioner makes therapeutic suggestions, prompting your unconscious mind to deal more effectively with your health issue.
The practitioner does not say something like, “You will not be afraid of the airplane,” but rather, “You may find yourself feeling much more relaxed on the airplane than you have in the past.” Suggestions are tailored to the specific problem and person.
The process generally is pleasant and completely safe. You do not reveal personal secrets or do anything that you don’t want to do.
After the therapeutic suggestions, the practitioner typically brings you back to your normal state of consciousness by saying, “I’m going to be quiet now, and over the next few minutes, you can gradually bring yourself back to the room.”
You may or may not consciously remember what was said to you during hypnosis… you may come to the end of a session thinking that it lasted just a few minutes, when in reality it lasted half an hour.
Over the following few days or weeks, you may notice that your symptoms are improving — for instance, you sleep better, feel less nauseous or fearful, or find it easier to resist cravings for cigarettes.
HYPNOTHERAPY HOMEWORK
The practitioner may assign you some simple self-hypnosis techniques to do on your own. For instance, if you are seeking to change a habit, such as compulsive overeating, self-hypnosis helps you handle cravings as they arise.
These techniques typically include physical strategies, such as pressing two fingers together as a reminder of how to reach the relaxation state… or taking a series of deep breaths while focusing on a certain calming image or phrase.
For a physical problem, such as irritable bowel syndrome, the practitioner may tape-record an in-office hypnosis session and have you listen to it at home.
As you reexperience the state of deep relaxation again and again, not only your mind but your entire body benefits — making your gut less susceptible to digestive upsets.
Finding a practitioner: In addition to being a licensed doctor, psychologist or social worker, a qualified practitioner should have about one year of hypnotherapy training.
To ensure that your practitioner has met educational standards and training requirements in clinical hypnosis, you may want to verify that he/she is certified through the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis (630-980-4740, http://www.asch.net).
Hypnotherapy costs about $125 to $300 per session. Although many insurance companies do not cover hypnosis per se, you may be able to collect under a mental-health benefit if your psychotherapist or integrative physician includes hypnosis among the treatments offered.
Women’s Health interviewed Benjamin Kligler, MD, MPH, associate professor of family and social medicine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, vice chair of the department of integrative medicine at Beth Israel Medical Center and research director of the Continuum Center for Health and Healing, an integrative medicine practice, all in New York City.
Dr. Kligler, who is certified in Ericksonian hypnotherapy, is author of Curriculum in Complementary Therapies (Montefiore Medical Center). http://www.healthandhealingny.org.

A spokesperson for the Governor of Guam says elected leaders in the territory believe the secret visit of a contingent of US senators has highlighted the need for a vote on self-determination.
Governor Eddie Calvo says 15 US senators snubbed the territory, by failing to inform him of their fuel stopover or meet local representatives on Monday.
A spokesperson for the Governor says Guamanians rely on US senators to make decisions that affect them even though they don’t have representation in the senate.
Phillip Leon Guerrero says it was an affront that the senators failed to take the chance to hear about the issues that are important to the territory.
“The Governor and other elected officials have basically remarked that this snub just underscores the importance that we need to move forward and hold a plebiscite so we can realise our full political destiny.”
Phillip Leon Guerrero says such a vote would determine whether Guamanians favour full union, partial union, or full independence from the United States.

Did snub justify Guam First Commission?

Guam – This week’s senatorial snub is another reason why Speaker Judi Won Pat is calling on Governor Eddie Calvo should call the first meeting of the Commission on Decolonization and the Guam First Commission.
Governor Calvo was dissed this week by a delegation of 15 senators that conducted a gas and go at Andersen Air Force Base without even extending a phone call, or visit with the island’s chief executive.
“I say enough to the trickery and snobbery of those who choose to turn their backs on the People of Guam. You have aroused the indignation of the Chamorro People and all others who call Guam their home for too long now, and this is not acceptable,” she said.
Won Pat in her weekly address added 15 of the nation’s senators sent a loud message on the tarmac of Andersen Air Force Base: not a minute to spare nor a gesture extended to see the face of a people who faithfully served alongside other Americans for the advancement of liberty, and freedom from political, economic, and cultural oppression.

I never wrote in but I was reading you blog from China about 3 months after you started it. And unlike Howie and others, I never took a year off. I am a true loyal fan.
I say it is better for us who have been loyal to have more knowledge because we were here throughout. Like anyone who is first there are things we old fans know and should know that the newbies and the faint hearted fans don’t know.
I see no reason to tell them anything. Let them as us who know and if we wish to tell them we will. That is some of the bennies for being loyal.
My friends here in China and Hong Kong email me when they want to be brought up to understanding something they don’t get on the blog. I like that.
They know that I am a one in the know because I was there from the beginning. This claim by Howie that there were only the four of them is just not true. I was there before Howie came aboard. I can repost his very first entry.
I have sent it to many all over Asia who have asked me for it. I have a complete record of all the blog comments from the very beginning. Becci, Laia, and I have been passing them among us for three years. We have converted your entire blog history to Mandarin.
Don’t worry we like Howie would never part with any of your blog for money. We just like being the blog’s library for Asia. We are your Girlz of Asia.

Hafa Adai All:
Anonz was right about another thing. How the big corporations collude to rip off the people of Guam. The big three get together and agree on a rise in the price of gas. The get one company to raise it and within the day all the others have followed suit.
=======================
Gas prices on island have increased again.
Mobil and 76 gas stations today raised their prices while prices at Shell stayed the same. Regular gasoline at both Mobil and 76 is now $4.52 per gallon and diesel is $4.86 per gallon. Premium gasoline is $4.82 per gallon.
As of March 24, gasoline prices at Mobil and 76 stations were $4.32 for regular and $4.51 for diesel.
The three gasoline brands available on Guam have historically mirrored each other’s prices within days of a brand’s pump-price change.
On April 5, Shell raised its gas prices by 10 cents.
At that time, Shell’s premium gasoline rose to $4.73 a gallon and diesel was at $4.62 a gallon. The price of regular gasoline at Shell was $4.43.
=====================
Their arrogance is so great that they don’t care that we know that they are colluding. As Anonz said it their world and we just get to live in it until we throw their greedy asses out.
We have to start with the republican party on the mainland. Donate what ever we can to whoever is opposing the greedy racist bastards.

Guam – The Senate Delegation that made a pit stop on Guam Monday was en-route to China for a week-long tour, according to a report on POLITICO.
Both Governor Calvo and Speaker Judi Won Pat have expressed their outrage over not being notified or invited to meet with the delegation.
According to the POLITICO report, the Senate delegation is being led by Majority Leader Harry Reid and they arrived in Hong Kong on Monday for a week long tour of China including stops in Beijing, Chengdu and Xi’an.
READ the POLITICO Report
House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio)and five other House members are also left for a CODEL to Iraq last weekend to meet with top officials and to highlight the progress that’s been made by U.S. forces there.
Both houses of Congress have just begun a two-week recess.
However, Governor Calvo’s office reported that there were 15 Senators in the CODEL that stopped on Guam Monday. POLITICO reports only 10 are on the trip.
The POLITICO report names Senator Reid and 9 other Senators. 6 Democrats — Michael Bennet of Colorado, Barbara Boxer of California, Dick Durbin of Illinois, Frank Lautenberg of New Jersey, Jeff Merkley of Oregon and Chuck Schumer of New York — and 3 Republicans Mike Enzi of Wyoming, Johnny Isakson of Georgia and Richard Shelby of Alabama.
==========================
They snubbed us because we are dirt beneath their feet as the rest of the OTWs on their mainland are. We just don’t count.
I say we vote to make Guam independent and then we throw their damn military off Guam as the Philippines did. If we don’t get to have an equal representative in their Senate and a House, then take your fucking military and get the fuck off our island.

I just recently started to go back and copy health info and some of my own exercise commentary so I could doucment the exercises and add to em’, I was busy livin’ it in the moment most of the time and did not do it. I think Mischa should do whatever she feels is best to do though now I wish I cut and pasted those dang comments of interest along the way, the few that I did were lost in my last computer crash (nope, didn’t back up, there was always time to do that next week or the following week…hmm) so I guess I am bummed that the archives are gone, they left me nostalgic recalling some of the old highlights. -ZL
