I have said here several times that I am an “eye for an eye” kind of girl. If someone does something horrible to you that affects your health and livelihood, that person should be punished by having to endure the same horrible act. It’s so easy for some to dish it out, but they are left begging for their life and forgiveness when they are faced with same horrific act administered upon themselves by others.

I think of the Arab women who are thrown in sacks and tossed into a pool of piranha, or dipped head first in a vat of boiling oil, and left to die a slow painful death. While the men stand by and laugh and threaten other women with the same, should they disrespect their family, etc. My first thought is, “These kind of men deserve this exact treatment and more so.”

People have agreed with me and people have said that I am barbaric. The ones that have called me barbaric are men. No surprise that it is the men in this world that are the majority of the perpetrators, murderers, serial killers, etc., and yet they are the ones calling me barbaric, for saying that it is okay to perform a brutal act in retribution for the same brutal act that was initially administered to innocent victims.

The story today is about a man who threw a bucket of acid over a girl’s head because she rejected his marriage proposal. If you ask me I say, “Do the same thing to him.” Evidently, it is allowed under Sharia law if the victim requests it. The victim did. However there are those that oppose and his punishment was postponed.

Here’s the write:

Fury at Iran’s ‘eye-for-an-eye’ acid punishment as sentence is branded ‘cruel and inhumane’

A punishment in which an Iranian man was to be blinded by having acid dropped into his eyes has been postponed after international condemnation.

Majid Movahedi was convicted and sentenced for pouring a bucket of acid over Ameneh Bahrami after she rejected his marriage proposals.

The attack left her blind and severely disfigured.

Revenge: Ameneh Bahrami was left with horrific scars after Majid Movahedi threw sulphuric acid in her eyes after he had begged her in vain to marry him. She is seen here holding a photo of how she used to look.

The court-ordered retribution was due to have been carried out yesterday in Tehran.

But it is understood the authorities in the Iranian capital decided to postpone the punishment, which is allowed under Sharia law if the victim requests it, because of national and international disquiet including concerns raised by the British Government.

Yesterday Ms Bahrami told Al Jazeera, the Qatar-based news service: ‘I was very happy that this was going to end today.

‘And yes, I was going to carry out the punishment myself, but I was afraid that I would get acid on my hands, so a doctor was going to do it. It’s been six years that I’ve been waiting. The verdict is completely legal.’

On November 3, 2004, Movahedi poured a bucket of acid on Ms Bahrami’s head as she was leaving work, after she had rejected his marriage proposal several times.

Two weeks after the attack Movahedi surrendered himself to the police.

He admitted attacking Ms Bahrami and his punishment was ordered by a court in 2008.

Among those unhappy about the prospect of Ms Bahrami exacting such a brutal revenge on her attacker was Amnesty International.

The organisation called for a stay of the sentence, which it described as ‘cruel and inhuman . . . amounting to torture’.

‘The Iranian authorities have a responsibility under international law to ensure it does not go ahead,’ it added.

Ms Bahrami, who was 24 when she met Movahedi in 2002, now lives in Spain where she has been undergoing medical treatment. She is blind in both eyes and still has serious injuries to her face and body.

Painful evidence: Ameneh Bahrami’s clothing and shoes destroyed by acid are kept by her family in their Tehran apartment
Readers: With respct to Amnesty International, I disagree with their actions. I know my “eye for an eye” attitude might sound harsh. But really…I don’t care. Men are harsh to say the least. And perhaps if the consequences were dire to their own health and liveliness, maybe men would think twice before performing their heinous acts upon women. So fuck e’m. – men are the barbarians. I am just giving them back what they so easily dish out.

As it stands, in my opinion, Amnesty International is supporting and perpetuating this kind of behavior by postponing something that gives victims retribution, payback, and basically letting men get away with it. This abuse has been going too long and it’s time that men feel the consequences of their actions in a big way. Really, it’s all we can HOPE for right now, because I don’t expect the men to go from brutally wreaking their women to worshipping them. Baby steps…and the first step is hitting them hard with a dose of their own abuse.

Comments? Thoughts? Agree with me or not – It’s Friday, you know what to do – blog me.

Christine: Welcome – Happy to have you as a newbie! This is an informational blog. If you like the information I post, please tell all of your friends. The only way to get the word out is to spread it. I count on all of my readers to do just that. I look forward to reading more from you.
Amy LSE: I like your attitude.

Irene: That’s an excellent question to ask. I think the majority of this planet would be happy for aliens to take over even if that meant a percentage of humans would go to feeding the aliens. Hey, they’re dining on us anyway. The ones screaming would be the men because they would no longer be in control of their toys, and they would have a predator themselves to fear for once.  The women would be happy to be free from the abuse, and hey perhaps the chance of some alien dick might put a smile on their faces too. :)

I’d love to say more but I’m already posting late. Done. Your turn.

Peace out.

  4. Health Info Says:

    BLOOD THINNERS: TOO RISKY?

A good friend of mind had a serious heart attack several years ago. He survived but was left with congestive heart failure. His heart was not pumping adequately, and there was a risk of it throwing off clots — clots that could lodge in his heart or brain.

As a protective measure, he began taking blood thinners. Thinners, however, are a double-edged sword. They keep the blood from clotting, but as they do, they allow for the possibility of blood leaking into places it shouldn’t.If all goes well, you count yourself lucky.

In my friend’s case, the drugs kept him in reasonably good health until, out of nowhere, the thin blood leaked and he ended up in the hospital with a hematoma — bleeding in the brain.Fortunately it was a minor head bleed, not a stroke.

A study from Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, published last spring in the Archives of Surgery, underscored the dangers blood thinners carry, when it found that people on the popular anticoagulant warfarin (Coumadin) who sustained a traumatic injury (and this can be something as simple as falling in your bathtub and hitting your head) were twice as likely to die as those not on the drug.

    DIFFERENT MEDS, DIFFERENT RISKS

What can you do to best protect yourself? To discuss the dilemma, I called Emile Mohler, MD, director of vascular medicine at the Penn Heart and Vascular Center in Philadelphia.

Dr. Mohler said that even people who take these drugs can get confused about the exact nature of the medicine they are on.

In fact, calling the drugs “blood thinners” is technically incorrect — the drugs do not thin blood but rather act on clots that can form in the blood.

And, while the group of drugs overall is referred to as “anticoagulants,” this too is actually not quite correct since different drugs act in different ways.

Here is an explanation of the drug categories and how they differ…

Anticoagulants — e.g., warfarin (Coumadin). These do not dissolve clots but inhibit clot production and prevent clots from enlarging.

They are used for atrial fibrillation, an erratic heartbeat that can create clots that travel to the brain, triggering stroke, as well as for other situations in which clots may form in the heart, such as during heart-valve replacement.

These drugs treat blood clots in a deep vein, usually in the legs. This condition is known as deep vein thrombosis (DVT). Anticoagulants also help prevent second strokes or heart attacks.

Antiplatelets — e.g., aspirin, clopidogrel (Plavix). Platelets are cells in the blood that form clots to repair damaged blood vessels.

Unfortunately platelets also can create harmful clots — and so antiplatelet drugs are used to prevent the kind of platelet “clumping” that starts a clot.

Antiplatelets are used for heart attacks caused by a clot (myocardial infarction), for angioplasty/stent patients and to prevent future heart attacks in patients who have already suffered one.

Thrombin inhibitors — e.g., heparin. These are fast-acting drugs that are used, usually on a short-term basis, right after many types of surgery to prevent clot formation or to treat patients with vein clots.

    YOUR SAFETY ON ANTICOAGULANTS

Dr. Mohler describes these drugs as “incredibly lifesaving,” noting that most of the time the drugs’ benefits outweigh their risks. Nevertheless, he says it is indeed a tough balance between clot protection and bleeding.

“There is always going to be a risk of bleeding whatever the specific drug, because otherwise it would mean the drug isn’t effective,” he explains.

To maximize your safety, Dr. Mohler offered the following information and advice…

Although Coumadin is the most widely used anticoagulant, it is a difficult drug for both patients and doctors, says Dr. Mohler, because “however carefully blood levels are monitored, they can change quickly, and the foods you eat impact your blood levels as well.”

For your safety: Strictly adhere to a schedule of monitoring with International Normalized Ratio (INR) blood tests (through a Coumadin clinic) to be sure that your blood levels remain in the proper range.

Diet is critical — Coumadin blocks the clotting action of vitamin K, but if you eat foods that are high in K (leafy greens, especially spinach and kale), it can negate the effect of the Coumadin. Limit yourself to the number of servings per week that your doctor advises.

Patients on low-dose aspirin therapy must be careful when taking additional aspirin for painkilling purposes, as it can jeopardize the antiplatelet effect. For your safety: Never take additional aspirin.

If you need a painkiller, take acetaminophen instead — or if you take ibuprofen, which is more similar to aspirin, always take the additional painkiller at least 30 minutes after taking the daily aspirin to be sure that the other drug will not interfere with the antiplatelet action of the aspirin.

Surgery patients need to clot in order to heal, but when taking blood thinners it is tricky, Dr. Mohler says.

Depending on the level of clot risk, there are a variety of ways for doctors to handle this problem, including using heparin in place of warfarin for a few days.

For your safety: Before surgery, discuss with your doctor how this will be handled to best protect you.

Accidents that healthy people are likely to recover from quickly can cause deep bruises and bleeding when a patient is on these drugs.

For your safety: Avoid situations with a high risk for injury — even minor injury — such as rough sports, difficult hiking, etc.

Always carry a card or wear a medical ID bracelet that lets emergency medical professionals know you are on an anticoagulant or antiplatelet… be sure to inform all of your health-care professionals, including pharmacists, about your drug.

    BRIGHTER DAYS AHEAD

There are hopeful developments in the world of anticoagulants with new drugs in development. One called dabigatran (Pradaxa) is already available and may one day replace Coumadin.

It is easier to monitor, and diet does not interfere with it. However, you need to take it twice a day, and the drug is very expensive.

group of anticoagulants called factor Xa inhibitors is in development, and Dr. Mohler says these too may replace Coumadin in some instances, especially for DVT.

Perhaps most intriguing of all, there is a new study underway at The University of Pennsylvania that should make treatment easier and safer.

Researchers are investigating patients’ DNA for mutations that affect blood clotting. The hope is that with information specific to individuals, doctors will be able to adjust drug dosages to create optimal levels in each person’s blood.

I am a Man who believes in and practices total equality for Women. Sometimes revenge is truly sweet — especially after the years of suffering and the destruction of Ms Bahrami’s eyesight and looks. These can never be brought back to the way they were.

Sometimes the “Code of Hammurabi” (An Eye for an Eye and a Life for a Life) must be used for punishment, especially in a society where Women are treated so brutally.

Amnesty international does a lot of good work all over the world, but this time they should stay out of this court-retribution and allow a Muslim Woman to enact revenge and punishment on a barbaric Muslim Man. One minute he proposes to her and then after rejection he pours sulfuric acid on her. What was he thinking? He wasn’t, he was being a Muslim Man.

Ms Bahrami must live this way for the rest of her life. Majid Movahedi mjust be punished. This could be a deterrent against future Male cruelty to Women in the Islam world and the world in general.

Today’s article in HuffPost talks about the capture of a Mob fugitive that has been on the FBI’s top ten Most Wanted List for 16 years.

Obama finally put a stop to the protection he was getting from the “on the take” bureau. Then they went out and captured him.

Just another benefit from switching from the continuation of another white man as President.

The article – Fugitive Massachusetts mob boss James “Whitey” Bulger has been arrested after years on the run, US authorities say.

Bulger, a Top 10 Fugitive, was apprehended by the FBI in California late last night. Authorities had been hunting the 81-year-old for more than 15 years. Bulger was the alleged leader of the Winter Hill Gang, a league of organized crime figures in Boston, whose members have included notorious Boston gangsters Howie Winter, James McLean and Stephen Flemmi.

According to Special Agent Greg Comcowich, a spokesman at the FBI Boston office, Bulger and his longtime girlfriend, 60-year-old Catherine Elizabeth Greig, were taken into custody without incident.
    =============================

No mention at all of his history as an FBI informant and the fact that he was at one point (and for a long period) protected against indictment by the FBI?

Numerous times investigations into his actions were blocked. His brother was in politics and when it finally came to an end, he resigned.

Surely this should be part of the story as he would have been caught years and years ago had the FBI not been protecting him.

We need more men with right thinking like yours.

Whitey Bulger bribed an FBI agent, Connolly, for $7000. Now Connolly is in jail for corruption and has another non-concurrent sentence for murder. He gave Whitey the name of the FBI’s witness so Whitey could murder him, and he did.

Michelle, my sister married one of those islamic assholes. He took her to Pakistan. They had three children. Two girls and a boy. The boy is 12 and he ordered his 18 and 20 year old sisters around like they were bad dogs.

There mother tricked the boy into escorting them to the states. When they got here, they decided to stay because they are Americans. We sent the bad ass boy back. Their father said if I didn’t force the girls to come back he would punish their mother.

My sister begged me to not send them back. She said their father had sold them into marriages to pay off a debt he had with one of the men. I kept them here. He framed my sister for adultery after he had her raped by his friends. She was stoned to death.

He video taped it and sent it to us. She was just thrown into a circle of men and they stoned her to death.

    Irene #5 Yesterday:

I agree that humans should NOT be the arbiters of this planet and have written this viewpoint in the past. I also agree that humans have no power to stop the utter greed and madness that is rampant in politics, business and society in general.

Greed is the lubricant that moves everything humans do on this planet. It is the bottom line of why things are so bad. As by-products of Industry, our environment is being poisoned. The “Powers that Be” poison our food and water and our Doctors prescribe poisons and vaccines because of Corporate power and greed. Those in power eat and drink the same foods and drink the same water as everyone else, causing illness and death to their own families yet greed overrides their consciences, forcing them to make these horrible choices.

The bottom line of Corporations is profit, even if it means destroying the only world we know of that can sustain life as we know it. There are billions of species from Bacteria to Insects, to Crustaceans and Fish to Reptiles and Amphibians, to Birds, and Mammals who thrive on Planet Earth. Humans are just one species, however we have gained stewardship over this planet. However, the fate of earth being in our hands is purely an illusion.

We are already under the jurisdiction of the Emperor. Earth is his property and he will annihilate any Aliens who might try to take control of our little blue marble. We live under the illusion that we are in control however we are cattle to the Emperor and he is our Shepherd.

When we reach the tipping point ecologically, someone will take control of us whether we like it or not, and they will put the earth in balance again. Planets that sustain such a tremendous variety of life as Earth are few and far between, although there are billions in our galaxy alone. Humans will not be allowed to destroy a bountiful place such as our Earth.

I personally look forward to that day Irene.

I like you because you are not one of those idiots that preach “bi-bartianship.” You know that the only way you can be “bi-partisan” with a republican is to agree with him because he will never attempt to see your point of view.

You refuse to back down. You WOMAN-UP on the issues that are important to you. You may not win but it WON’T be for the lack of trying.

Most people don’t even try. And most of those who try eventually start quoting idiotic sayings like “you become the thing you hate,” to justify their gutless quitting the fight.

But you, Michelle, stay the course. You plug away every day. You encourage newbies like Christine to expose your open forum to more people so that they get an opportunity to hear another opinion.

Most blogs are fluff or opinion censored under the pretense of not offending their readers. Publications like Huffington Post, NY Times, etc censor to promulgate their own opinion. Sometimes that censor takes the form of their own beliefs on an issue, other times it is how they believe civil discourse should be delivered.

Whatever reason they use to censor the poster’s comment it is still censorship. Michelle, the fact that your blog does not censor is why it offers the world to us the way it actually is.

You show us the wise, the ignorant, the tolerant, the tyrant, the clever, the idiot, the racist and the idealist, etc, etc, etc.

Alycedale, your point about the saying, “you become the thing you hate,” is well taken. That’s just bullshit. Mostly quoted by pretenders to intelligence.

The truth is most people DON’T turn into the what they hate, they use what they hate as an example of what NOT to become.

The gutless democrats us that as an excuse to be cowardly. We have to learn to stand up to the republicans and not give in because they behave so maliciously while promoting their point of view.

    I, too, applaud Michelle’s resoluteness.

    Bravo, Michelle

DO ALL PAINKILLERS RAISE STROKE RISK?

Several years ago, lots of people were horrified to learn that certain prescription painkillers — Vioxx and Bextra, in particular — were dangerous and put them at significant risk for cardiovascular problems.

Not only were these people rightfully outraged at having been misled about the safety of the drugs they were taking, they were outraged as well at the prospect of having to endure more of the pain they were trying to escape.

Many ended up taking other, more well-known, over-the-counter brands of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), such as Advil, Motrin, Aleve and others. Now a new study delivers yet more painful news — it seems that these drugs also carry stroke risks.

In January 2011, a group of researchers at the University of Bern conducted a meta-analysis of more than 30 randomized trials with a combined total of 116,429 patients taking placebo or NSAIDs.

The researchers found abundant evidence of a heightened risk for cardiovascular events and found that taking drugs containing ibuprofen, including brand names such as Motrin, Advil and Nuprin, and those containing naproxen (such as the brand Aleve and a few others) raises the likelihood of suffering a stroke.

These are everyday drugs that sit in most of America’s medicine cabinets right now. So, even though this finding is based on a “study of studies” rather than a customized clinical trial that is the gold standard, it’s an important one — as many people take these drugs often and without giving it much thought.

To get a clear interpretation of the results, I called one of our regular expert sources, Harlan Krumholz, MD, professor of cardiology at Yale School of Medicine and author of the book The Expert Guide to Beating Heart Disease:

What You Absolutely Must Know. He explained that the reason NSAIDs carry cardiovascular risk is that these drugs “disturb the balance of the blood’s clotting system, and some of them tend to cause clot formation.” He cautions that everyone who takes NSAIDs is at some risk for heart problems from them. “In particular, people with heart disease should avoid using these medications,” Dr. Krumholz said.

Since there is also some risk (albeit small) associated with products containing acetaminophen (such as Tylenol), Dr. Krumholz said that for people with heart issues, aspirin is probably the safest pain reliever. It is, after all, recommended for this group as protection against future heart attacks.

I live in a part of Spain that has a heavy islamic population. Here women are routinely abused and forced into accepting all kinds of depredations. Where is Amnesty International?

Michelle, I agree with you. If only I had the means and the courage I would kill all the bastards. My family calls me a heretic. They say I have abandoned my faith.

What faith? I ask them. Are you willing to believe that God wants men to treat us this way? Their answer is to bow their heads and pray to Allah that I see the way.

It is not their fault that they have been deceived into believing that a woman is less than a man. But their refusal to consider the possibility that they could be equal to a man is too pathetic for me to accept, so I left.

Now I am alone and the world is so much better. I am free to explore the limits of my own abilities. Of course Spanish society has its own built in prejudices against women, but I will not let that stop me.

Michelle, I love your blog. It inspires me to fight. When I get down I read your comments about getting revenge and fighting back and I feel strong. I may be only 97 pounds and 4 feet ten inches tall but I am a GIRLZ when I face the world and I have no fear!

    Michelle,

Here in Iran, women are being forced to accept less and less freedoms. The men sneak around complaining about their lost of freedoms, but expect us to support their complaints while keeping quiet about our own.

I go with my brother and girlfriends to their support rallies, but I secretly hope they don’t succeed. I see no reason to help men who are so insensitive to our sufferings. Women have feelings too. When will men learn this?

Michelle you are a harlot who God will smite and send to Hell for encouraging women to hate men. God make man in his image and he made woman from one of his ribs to comfort him.

I am passionate about many things. The mistreatment of Women is a major topic but there are many things wrong with this world that bother me because the world is so screwed up.

One new problem that has arisen is the Mormons trying to become mainstream. I read AOL News yesterday and the story was about the Mormons taking over Manhattan. They have a Broadway Play doing very well, they are buying up all the billboard and advertising space they can to brainwash New Yorkers that the Mormons are a legitimate mainstream Christian religion that has gotten bad press over the years.

They are not harmless, nor are they mainstream. They preach Racism and Polygamy which automatically makes them “bad guys” in my book.

It is so obvious that this is a ploy to begin paving the path of Mitt Romney’s (Mormon) campaign for President in 2012.

Should he win the election, having a Mormon in the Whitehouse would bring Mormonism and its cult-like theology and history to be dragged into the public eye for all to consider.

It is not difficult to brainwash the masses into believing one way or another with the proper advertising and marketing propaganda. Humans are basically sheep in people clothing and are easily manipulated and led by the pros.

We have much to think about and Michelle’s blog is a great place to let it out.

    Howie:

You cannot be fooled. You see the Mormons for what they are. They have a pedophile origin and in the state of Utah it is a bonafide polygamy state.

I hope you keep the pressure on them.
