Good afternoon!

I can probably count on one hand the number of times I have not been able to get on my blog in the past 5 years. Today was obviously one of them. I apologize for how frustrated you may have been. I shared that feeling with you this morning and up until now.

I am usually inspired to write something but today I feel no inspiration; just enjoying that chatter of all the comments. Some I want to address:

Lazim: You’re welcome. I too am very tired…very tired of the way women are treated throughout this world, and I am a “lucky” one, living here in the U.S. One does not need to imagine anymore. I have read and heard the stories. I HOPE that you and yours are safe.

Cindy: I thought the additions were quite nice too. Happy that I could be of service enhancing your blogging experience. And I am with ya on that one. I too am spreading out my investments. I used to think Apple was “It”.  I can’t say I am loyal to just them anymore.

Eric: Hmm…interesting. Feel free to e-me but no promises I’ll post. :)

Luc, Urte, et al: Although I don’t quite understand it all, I still find your writes fascinating, and like my readers, we always want more. I HOPE that all is well with all of you.

Readers: And since it is already so late in the day, I will consider my write done and open the floor for you to comment. Blog me.

Lastly, greed over a great story is surfacing from my “loyal”(?) readers. With all this back and forth about who owns what, that appears on my blog, let me reiterate that all material posted on my blog becomes the sole property of my blog. If you want to reserve any proprietary rights don’t post it to my blog. I will prominently display this caveat on my blog from now on to remind those who may have forgotten this notice.

Gratefully your blog host,

  2. Beverly Says:

As a white woman I must say the way white america condones the disrespect we give this President is shameful.
    ======================

The Dove World Outreach Center in Gainesville, Fla., has hanged an effigy of President Barack Obama from a gallows on its front lawn, a move DWOC pastor Terry Jones said was in response to Obama’s recent endorsement of same-sex marriage,
    ==============
White america would never tolerate this being done to a white man. I know it and so do my neighbors here in South Carolina. But will they admit it. Of course not.

They pretend that this disrespect of the office would be okay with them if the office had a white man in it.

    Beverly

  3. Nelson Says:

I can identify with you Beverly. I live in that state. What fresh hell is this for Florida? Don’t we have enough phreaks already. Someone needs to take this so-called preacher out behind the woodshed and teach him R.E.S.P.E.C.T.

It seems every time I read a newspaper there is something new and nasty about my home state. When does it end? Have all the phreaks, zombies, cannibals, baby killers, alligator eating pythons, relocated to Florida? WE even had OJ before Karma came around and bit him on the butt.

Has every bigot and his mother moved to Florida? I’m almost ashamed to tell people I’m from the state. Being white it is almost guaranteed if I say it in ear shot of an OTW, it will be assumed that I am a racist inbred.

This kind of publicity dose me no good at all. Honestly we need to weed out the insanely bigoted whites in our state. I can understand the average white man not being comfortable with a former slave in that office but honestly, hanging the nigger in effigy is a bit much. The office of the President of the United States deserves more respect than that.

Luc and Urte, my ancestors started the human race and they had every intention of extending their life spans to thousands of years.

The original plan included a self governing reproductive gene. The scientist differed as to which sex to activate the gene in. Those that selected the male were convinced that since he was stronger physically, thus, his strength would prevent the female from being aggressive in that area.

    Yobv

Lab trials on Mars showed that it prevented the male from taking risks to explore the planet. That killed that idea as it was desired that humans explore their planet and interact with is environment.

Giving the gene to the female produced males with a callous disregard for the young. As a result the youth would be killed at the slightest provocation.

Having to hurriedly move the creatures to earth stopped all test and they were delivered without any adjustment to their reproductive process. Therefore the only curb to that was to add a sub conscience influence through various myths handed down.

  5. Amanda Says:

We whites will have only ourselves to blame when this nation is brought down. Greed, racism and hypocrisy is so much a part of our race today that it permeates every part of our governmental political structure.

There is nothing new to say about the state of the Federal Reprep and Senate houses. As for SCOTUS, I suspect that the Roberts’ Court is going to go down in history (and I do mean DOWN) as one of the worst courts our nation has had to endure. The SCOTUS Five, STARK, are a cabal with an agenda to destroy the constitution and empower the 1%ers.

It is sad times for our nation and while I am determined to believe these times are survivable, nearly every decision this court hands down, seems to add another crack in the foundation of our beautiful country.

It is sad beyond measure that these five men are able to wield such power. Roberts has a chance, yet, to rehabilitate his court but he is BAPF like the other four.

For a real eye-opener, google “scotus five” and do some reading. This is one very scary panel of justices. If anyone doubts they are BAPF, just look at all the money being spent as a result of their “Citizens United” decision.

Think about it for a moment. If the 1%ers are willing to spend hundreds of millions to billions on getting the politicians they want in office elected because of that “Citizens United” decision, how much do you thing they spent to get it passed?

You had better believe they paid whatever STARK asked for. It may not have been much in the scheme of things. White sellouts, traitors, in the FBI, CIA, NSA and other government agencies usually sell out for peanuts. We know that politicians will sell out for a trip or a seat at a golf tournament.

Who knows how much STARK sold out for? That may never be known. But their is no doubt that they sold out. That BAPF bunch is a done deal. Probably the only hope the nation has is a heart attack, stroke or car accident among that BAPF criminal enterprise.

  7. MA Says:

Amanda, Thank God people are paying attention. The Right-wing lean of the Supreme Court is the best reason to vote for Obama and the straight Democratic ticket.

President Obama will never appoint another Right-wing judge to sit on the SC. Romney would hardly be able to wait to do so.

  8. BS Says:

Surprising only to the extent that the American people are awake to the fact that the Supreme court is derelict in its mission.

Since Bush v. Gore the Court has been more politically partisan than Congress.

The Supreme Court is supposed to be the voice of reason in our system of checks and balances. It fails miserably.

    Disgusting.

  9. HD Says:

1/2 of republicans vote with their pastors,

The other half vote from their wallet.

If by chance they are not sickly religious, or greedy then they vote from a position of racism and bigotry.

  10. Mitt Says:

No STARK are not BAPF when they make their decisions . They are spot on. You left wingers are just deny everything liberals. The left wing media will do anything to save Obama’s face and try to twist America’s perceptions.

It is one of the chapters in almost any communist book.

    Mitt

  11. Glenda Says:

Did someone say STARK is BAPF? In denial, how about the fact that one member of STARK clearly and openly attends and supports extreme right wing political groups and another member’s wife is the president of an organization that has as its goal, the defeat of the president of the US.

And you expect honesty and an opinion based on LAW? I’ve got a lake in Mojave to sell you.

    Glenda

  12. TK Says:

The insidious seditionism of the extremist fatcat Republican Party has permeated and fatally politicized the Court … and the Citizens United decision has made the Court and its GOP puppeteers the de facto dictatorial power in this country.

Their final maneuver in their single-minded quest to destroy the Democratic Party, all of its supporters and the American working middle class will come when they throw out the Affordable Care Act before this month is over!

It’s time for EVERY self-styled Democrat and Democratic-leaning Independent to either **** … or get thrown off the pot … probably for a good long time!

  13. Mimi Says:

I agree 100% with what Robert,RT and Anonz said about STARK.

This group was bought and sold to the highest bidders.
They don’t represent the average citizen.

With the passage of the campaign reform act, I totally lost faith in them.

It is sad that we live in times like these where money means more than a life.

  14. Maz Says:

If corporations are people why aren’t any in PRlS0N?
    Why hasn’t P e r r y E X E C U T E D one of them corporate people?

If corporations are people why don’t we include them in the unempIoyment rate?
If corporations are people why aren’t they allowed to vote?
If corporations are people why are we not allowed to marry them?
If corporations are people why don’t people say I have three kids and one corporation on the way?

If corporations are people why haven’t any of them lost a limb or paid the ultimate sacrifice in a war?

If corporations are people why don’t they pay the tax rates average people pay?

If corporations are people why don’t they ever call in sick?
If corporations are people why can’t we elect one as president?
If corporations are people why won’t they go see a doctor?

If corporations are people why don’t we see these corporate people cleaning up the Gulf of Mexico – cleaning up their corporate mess?

  15. RG Says:

Right-wing/cons have never held to the law all that much. Just keep in mind that their favORITE president, Ronald Reagan, boldly broke the law in ’81 by aiding the Contra rebels in Nicaragua , even though Congress told him ,in no uncertain terms, “NO”! .

And now we have right-wing/cons. judges who are cut from the same cloth.

If Obama is ousted and a right-wing/cons. is allowed to appt. the next SC justice/s , we’re going to want to move out of this country. Because it’ll be as if the Roman Catholic church has full control over a country all over again.

  16. General Info Says:

How to Get Your Orchid to Rebloom

Orchids were once an expensive rarity, but within the past decade or two, they’ve become widely available at big-box stores and supermarkets for just $10 to $15 apiece.

They will bloom for months and rebloom indefinitely—if they’re handled properly…

Opt for a moth orchid. Orchids are the largest family of flowers, with around 35,000 species and perhaps twice as many hybrids.

I strongly recommend that novices opt for a moth orchid (Phalaenopsis). It’s the most widely available and affordable of orchids. It also is quite easy to grow, attractive and long-blooming.

Helpful: The following guidance is specifically intended for moth orchids. Other orchid species might have different preferences and characteristics. Consult a garden shop or an orchid-growing guide for details.

Give orchids the proper amount of sun. Orchids that don’t receive sufficient sunlight often fail to rebloom. A spot near a sunny east-facing window tends to be ideal. A south-facing window can be a good choice as well, though this might provide too much sunlight, particularly in the southern US or during the summer.

Helpful: A moth orchid’s leaves should be medium-green in color. Dark green leaves might indicate insufficient light…while light green leaves, leaves that have a red tint or leaves with patches that look dried or burned might indicate excessive light.

Water like a passing downpour. Once every five to seven days take your orchid to the kitchen sink and use the faucet (use the sink sprayer if you have one) to drench its potting mix until it’s truly soaked. Wait 30 seconds, then drench again.

Make sure that the water drains out. In the wild, most orchids do not grow in soil—they attach themselves to tree limbs or occasionally to rocks, so their roots are not designed to sit for extended periods in wet soil or water.

Fertilize lightly. Orchids benefit from fertilizer, but don’t overdo it—high concentrations of fertilizer can do an orchid more harm than good. Because orchid roots don’t normally grow in soil, they’re not designed to take in large quantities of nutrients.

Feed your orchid liquid fertilizer every week or two when you see new leaves or roots growing, but use only half the amount recommended on the fertilizer’s label.

(If you don’t see new leaves or roots, don’t fertilize.) There’s no need to pay extra for specialty orchid fertilizer—a standard liquid houseplant fertilizer is fine.

Prune judiciously. Do not immediately prune off a moth orchid’s flower spike after the last of its flowers stops blooming.

Unlike most orchids, moth orchids can rebloom off the same spike, below earlier flowers. Check the spike for small, fleshy green nodes.

If you find them, use a sterile blade (use rubbing alcohol or a lighter to sterilize the blade) to trim the spike an inch or so above the second or third node.

Go ahead and prune off the entire spike if the nodes on the flower spike seem dried out or if you trim the spike as described above, but it turns brown before reblooming.

Repot every year or two because the potting mix breaks down. Purchase a potting mix specifically designed for orchids.

You can put the orchid back in the original pot but thoroughly scrub it first to remove salt buildup.

CNN should make a hard left turn, get off the fence, and become a counter-point source to FOX. They should take each FOX talking point and tear it down.

Jon Stewart does a great job of that through comedy, but CNN could do it through facts and figures. And they could dissect each and every lame prevarication by Romney.

I would certainly start tuning in if they took this tack.

  20. DF-1 Says:

I can think of one good change that CNN can do and it would have a resounding great tone to all concerned Americans…….SHUT DOWN ALL COMMUNICATIONS. THEY ARE FILLED WITH NOTHING BUT PROPAGANDA LIES AND LIKE THE CLUELESS ONE IN THE WHITE HOUSE, DECIEVING THE PUBLIC.

  21. Id Says:

Both CNN and MSNBC are getting their butts kicked by Fox.

  22. Paul Says:

If it weren’t for the attraction racism brings to the white race, FOX, the “birther” outlet, and cartoon news channel would be a blip on the remote.

But you sick fucks will watch anything that tells you you are better because of the color of your skin.

I mean all this foaming at the mouth because a black man is holding the job that you thought was reserved for white men.

So you go screaming about how all of a sudden the country is being destroyed by government(meaning of course government run by a black man) ignoring the financial meltdown the white guy before him left him and the country with.

Where were you when that white guy was starting two wars one completely with lies to get it launched. If the black man had lied to us about WSM and committed the military might of the US to murdering thousands of people in an innocent country, displaced millions of its citizens, invaded the country destroyed its infra structure without a plan to replace it thereby creating havoc and a nightmare of chaos, death and suffering, spent billions of tax payers dollars, and then set about destroying our civil liberties, You would be marching in the streets and demanding his ouster.

Oh wait you did that, but it was the tea party against the black man and for what, Oh, yeah he wanted to give the entire country HEALTH CARE.

    You are some sick fucks.

    Paul

  23. EW Says:

Smaller banks are gaining in stature because management of the biggest US banks think taxpayers and their customers are their personal cash cows.

A bank is a lending and savings institution. Period. It is not an arm of Wall Street. From the moment these big banks became joined at the hip with Wall Street, customers’ rights went out the window.

The collusion between Big Banking, Big Insurance and The Fortunate 400 biggest moolah bois is too thick for a jackhammer to penetrate. So, why should Americans be hostages of these industries?

Why should Americans place full faith and trust in an industry that refuses total transparency where use of their customers money is concerned? It is OUR money. Not theirs.

No one gave these greedheaded fools a license to do with other peoples’ money as they please. Stick it to ‘em…use a smaller local bank and help cut your municipal and state taxes.

Oh and by the way, you don’t need Wall Street. Your small businesses need your investment funding more than the Corporate Welfare State that can’t seem to rein in its insatiable appetite for other peoples’ money.

  24. Lillian Says:

Paul, I understand your frustration. I am a white woman married to a very successful black man. Our children are judged not by their accomplishments but by the hue of their skins.

They have come to recognize and accept that. It is so apparent as to be beyond denial. Yet many of our white friends and relatives vehemently deny it. As if they the lie will hide the fact.

It is truly pathetic that a race has so little to believe in about their abilities that it has to resort to believing that they are better simply because of the color of their skins.
