Have You Heard The News?
Posted by Michelle Moquin on June 7th, 2012
Good morning!
Okay, so in case you just started reading I am the founder of a club appropriately called the Lying Sack of Shit Club (LSOS Club), because…well…because there are so many LSOS’s out there that need to be recognized and given the badge of LSOS membership.
No surprise, people in politics represent about 90+% of the members in the club. And in case you’re wondering if Romney is a member. You bet your sweet ass (and mine too :) he is. And he’s at the top of the list. Here’s another reason why…a piece of news that just isn’t getting much air time, and should:
Visit msnbc.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy
Readers: I know it’s been a long time since I’ve asked. But, if someone you know deserves the LSOS membership badge, let me know and I’d be happy to give some recognition and add them to membership.
Peace out. Oh, and blog me. Hey, check it out: Did you notice there is now a “spellcheck” and an “expanded comment box” to make your blogging experience even better?
Lastly, greed over a great story is surfacing from my “loyal”(?) readers. With all this back and forth about who owns what, that appears on my blog, let me reiterate that all material posted on my blog becomes the sole property of my blog. If you want to reserve any proprietary rights don’t post it to my blog. I will prominently display this caveat on my blog from now on to remind those who may have forgotten this notice.
Gratefully your blog host,

Four Ways to Take a Bite Out of Dental Fear
While sitting in the dentist’s chair, have you ever thought, “I’m being so brave”—only to realize that you’re clutching the armrests so hard that your hands are cramped?
No matter how advanced dental technology has become, roughly 20% of people have some degree of dental fear, according to estimates from the Dental Fears Research Clinic at the University of Washington in Seattle.
But if you fall into that category, you can breathe easier because a new study has found that using a variety of simple strategies can help you kiss dental dread goodbye.
NIBBLING AT THE ROOT OF THE FEAR
To learn the latest on overcoming fear of the dentist, I called Jenny Bernson, LDS, doctoral student at the University of Gothenburg in Sweden, because she recently completed a study on the topic.
In the study, researchers distributed a questionnaire to individuals who had been to the dentist in the past but who had developed full-blown dental phobia and had not gone for regular dental treatment in at least the past three years…and to patients who were fearful of the dentist but were still undergoing regular dental care.
All of the patients were asked to describe whatever “coping strategies” they had used to deal with their dental fears.
Then researchers looked at the coping strategies used by those who had regular dental care (those were considered “successful” strategies) and the coping strategies used by those who did not have regular dental care (those were considered “unsuccessful” strategies).
Here’s what was successful and what wasn’t…
The strategy that did not work:
Prayer:
Asking a higher power to make the dental treatment end quickly or to make the anxiety disappear did not make any of the subjects feel less fear.
The strategies that helped a little bit:
Self-efficacy:
This strategy involves tricking yourself or giving yourself a pep talk. Subjects tried to tell themselves that either their fear didn’t exist or that the fear existed but they were strong enough to handle it.
Self-distraction:
The key to this method is thinking of anything but what the dentist is doing. For instance, participants thought about their best friends, counted or listened to music.
Distancing:
To do this, try pretending that what the dentist is doing is not happening to your body—but that it’s happening to someone else’s. Or convince yourself that you’re not feeling pain, only numbness..
The strategy that helped the most:
Optimism:
Instead of focusing on the present moment (the pain or potential pain), you think only about how great you will feel after the dental treatment is over—how relaxed and proud of yourself you’ll be.
Somehow, this mental focus on a happier, brighter future—even if that future is only an hour away!—is a powerful way for patients to reduce their fear and improve the experience of going to the dentist.
I can add a nice twist to this fear-squashing technique: Plan something really fun to do after your appointment, whether it’s buying an ice cream soda, seeing a movie with a close friend or even getting a massage—and imagine how good you’ll feel doing that.

Humans, they live in a world which they can only barely understand and when they are given another option they will kill the messenger to retain their ignorance.
I am from a different plane. So my reality may not be yours. Once can see why this blog is preferred by aliens. NO CENSORSHIP.
Actually, no censorship means just that. Not, only when it suits my (meaning the owner of the blog) beliefs or sensibilities.
Good luck with garnering trust again after that emotional break down.

Luc:
Greetings, all Hail the Emperor.
I was monitoring to see where you would light. I too noticed you had been censored. Too bad this point I wanted to make will be lost on most who would benefit most.
To have come so far an not be able to share the myths that bring us closer to the awareness of our surroundings that we all seek would be a catastrophe to the true science.
I would not suggest that you reprint your post there here. But I would still like to comment in a context that others who may share the understanding can participate.
I would suggest to you that among the other legends about this set of twins, the of the numbers that you mentioned one, 7, was of particular significance.
Our Legend says The twins were born to King Solomon and the Queen of Sheba. The inability of the two to decide which to let live and which to put to death angered the three Gods. They decided to set the races of the two peoples apart until the issue was decided.
Gods 1 &2 punished the races of each parent by ordaining that neither would have a homeland that provided what they had then until the issue was decided.
They decided: to select the new father, Jesus from the race of Solomon and the mother, Miriam from a mixture of one quarter Jew and three quarters African; to allow Solomon to live more than twice as long as the new father, elect, but to have his accomplishments pale in comparison.
They planned the same for Miriam but as it turned out it was she who hid the twins from Jesus to prevent him from killing one. (One version of the story has it that one of the Gods cheated and became Jesus to win the bet.)
What matters is that neither twin was killed because of Miriam’s actions. Hence she was removed from mankind’s understanding and became Mary Magdalene.
It is rumored that the God not the father of either twin,(Here I’ll call 3) froze them in time to be born again of humans. Hence the Gods would have to await another rebirth to see which one would be put to death. The Gods have little patience with humans who do not further their amusements and this bet represented a great deal of amusement to them.
God 3 spirited the twins away and a new game between 3 and 1 &2 has begun. The Seven comes from the fact that he was to be born 7 days and 7 months from the birth of their second human father’s people’s new nation.
Hence they were born to their third set of human parents on December 21st. The same year of the formation of that nation and the true birthdate of Jesus Christ, their second father with his wife Miriam known to you as Mary Magdalene. They were the second set of parents to anger the Gods with their inability to decide which to sacrifice to the Gods.
It was said that the death of one would have signaled a new era in man’s belief where the One God became the true God over the many. But since the parents could not decide, humanity would have to wait.
Their punishment was to be separated as a couple in the minds of humanity for as long as the twins remained alive and separated by the beliefs of man.
The twins have moved among humans as duel entities of Good and Evil and the many shades between from then till now.
That is the Mystery of Seven as I know it. Perhaps someone will inform us of the Mystery of Three.

As I type, the House Judiciary Committee is grilling Attorney General on Eric Holder. From the looks of it, Chariman Darrell Issa and Republicans want a plethora of answers, ranging from Voter ID to Fast and Furious, and as always, Holder, with help of the committee’s Democrats, are stonewalling. Make sure to read Hayward’s walk-up below and his analysis of the hearing when it wraps up this afternoon.
Former EPA official avoids his own crucifixion
Audrey Hudson reports: “Al Armendariz, EPA’s region six administrator, was scheduled to testify before the House Energy and Commerce subcommittee on energy and power. His lawyer cancelled the appearance late Tuesday afternoon and said Armendariz was no longer willing to testify, prompting lawmakers to expand their initial inquiry to determine if the White House pressured the ex-official to drop out of the hearing.” Did the pressure from the White House get to the ex-EPAer? I’m sure this won’t be the last we hear of this story.
On deadline day, it’s short and sweet. Make sure to read Ann Coulter’s column on Wisconsin and the other links from around the web. Included in those links are a few polls that have been taken since Walker’s win in Wisconsin.
Have a great Thursday!

I am sick of N***ers complaining about SYG laws. The US Supreme Court long ago stated that there is no duty to retreat. Duty to retreat laws can be traced back to Jim Crow laws designed to keep Blacks from defending themselves.
I say if you Nword want to do something about our laws, get a gun and SYG.
Howard
June 7th, 2012 at 1:38 pm
Ditto Howard. The correct answer to why there would be more white on black stand your ground defenses would be because statistically there is more black on white crime than there is white on black.
But all I hear is that there are more whites killing blacks.

Here we go—the mystery solved, the law has been determined by the majority of the Republican’s. Now here Zimmerman looks so cute innocent Bunny, where all the sympathies must go to him cause when the justice department encourages you to commit felonies, and great crimes and provides assurance that its easy to get away with it, then who wouldn’t avail the golden opportunity, moreover, when the authorities are making racialism discrimination then why point fingers at the ordinary person.
Florida is following a mandate which is based on the whims and views by the governing authorities, therefore, this case has been lingering on for such a long time–Well fine, Ok! what one can say when it has been made categorically correct that —Justice is Blind—I can only suggest—Eye Transplant!! Brain is also a good idea—
June 7th, 2012 at 1:42 pm
Even if victim started the fight if he had a right to be where he was(And HAD not committed any crime against the defendant.) , it is about self defense not SYG.
That’s why the author of Fla.’s SYG law stated that it is clear SYG does not apply to the Zimmerman case.”Lies, damned lies and statistics” the last being used to tell the biggest lies.
If from stats if could be claimed that Blacks as a GROUP are 50% more likely to commit violent crimes than Whites as a group that is no evidence as to ANY individual Black.
The biggest lie is based on the fallacy that Blacks commit individual crimes as a group.Crimes are committed by individual(S).SCOTUS ruled a while ago that stat evidence as to racial discrimination (By other companies or society at large.) is not evidence that an individual company committed an act or acts of racial discrimination.

Somehow people are udner the inpression that only blacks and latino commit crime. Everyone knows that the police will harass a black person until they snap.
So glad camera phone, pocket video camera came along. Back in the day the rappers use to rap about this stuff and no one believed them, but black folks.
Now we all know sometimes the police are the bad ones from what we have seen in the last few years. We now know that legislation has been passed to specifically to focus on hurting black or brown people.
Why ask a republican that’s in control of the house and senate of their state. We don’t want these black people to VOTE, if they vote they might put a black man in office and he will start turning things around to make things fair for everyone.
They may find out about the SYG law or voter suppression. OTWs already knew, now that everyone is getting on the same page can we all just work together to make this a better world.
June 7th, 2012 at 1:48 pm
Dead men tell no tales. Apparently, that’s good enough for the people of FL. To each their own however, I wouldn’t walk around unarmed anymore in FL.
Give this law another decade and FL society will devolve into a 21st century version of the old “spaghetti westerns”.
Or when whites start getting killed by OTWs, the law will change in a split second. My advice get a gun if you are an OTW and Stand Your Ground.
June 7th, 2012 at 1:48 pm
Another reason not to live in FL. As if there weren’t enough reasons already.

The White House condemned a new massacre in the Syrian town of al-Qubair, describing the killings as “outrageous targeted killings of civilians,” Reuters reports.
In a statement, the Obama administrations said the regime’s refusal to let U.N. observers visit the site of the killings was “an affront to human dignity and justice.”

Michelle, thank you for your help. I am so very tired of arab men blaming America and Israel for every ill they suffer.
Recently I read this it is so true. America this America that. Even mentioning Israel without any reason is a common theme by those arabs that refuse to take responsibility for what arabs do to arabs.
Arabs abuse us women at every moment of every day of our existence. Yet, they expect the world to race to their aid when another arab man practices a form of evil upon them that we, arab women are subject every day.
So now we hear the same thing from the arab men of Syria. America this and Israel, and not once mentioning Assad’s responsibility…Sounds like are big Assad dynasty fans.

It is widely debated about the connection with that number and the most important scientific discoveries among the space travelers.

Sadly, girls here in America too have it hard…or for that matter even boys..
Here if they are unlucky enough not to have good, loving, and well educated mothers they are off to a terrible disadvantage.
Here the movies and magazines glamorize the beautiful women in the world which makes it more difficult.
The challenges for women are still many; even though I do believe they are making great advances. Our society…our culture…our obsession with the inaccessible only makes those challenges more difficult.

Luc:
I, too am from a different plain. My myth about the twins is much different from yours.Indeed my account is closer to PrP’s. We see a direct contact from one of the Gods disguised as one of the twins. We think it was 3(as described by Urte) . As we see it He decided to participate in the game His way.
We have agreed that sometimes the Gods venture into situations without taking with Them the knowledge of who they are. It is noted than on Wrwean about 300,000 years ago. There was a female being who married and gave birth to six children all of who went on to divide and rule the 43 occupied planets in the Bol solar systems.
When the 2 males banded together and murdered the 4 females, she confronted them. It was only after they had defeated her armada and put her to a cruel hard death that she discovered she was a God.
When She returned She declared that males would suffer for their betrayal. She also said that because the females under Her daughters command had betrayed Her daughters so She would visit upon females long eons of suffering until they showed they would rely and trust each other over males.
Whether the being who “returned” from the dead was a God or not, is in dispute, but not so the existence of any of the characters. Even to this day. That sector is ruled by Her descendants.
The Emperor gave deference to that sector and refused to accept their surrender as He said that He had not made an attempt to conquer them. It is also known that the Federation has given it a wide berth.
My point here is that PrP has a very good point if one of the two was a God with or without IT’s memory.

May we point out that Tarsmi may have been interested in bringing the humans alone concerning our use of the Mariana Trench. We have no such interest.
Humans had better stay out of our way when we are in the area. We will tolerate NO interference. Those of you who monitor this blog will not be given any pass because you say you did not believe that it was an alien telling you this.
Any aircraft confiscated will not be returned. Neither will we consent to bargaining for the return of its crew at anytime. That means if ask for the return of one of our downed craft we do not expect to bargain with you for their return.
If you insist, then we will take appropriate actions that will demonstrate the futility of your demands.

I just got to ready myself for work. Couldn’t resist my peek in on the blog. I usually get up earlier to get a chance to read any late entries. But last night was my best friend’s daughter’s wedding celebration.
Whoa? do I need an interpreter. Where’s our resident genius on all things alien? I’m in the same place you are Kent. What is the alien chatter. Why so much so often.
I’m also trying to get through your blog Prism Princess. But that thing is so difficult to read. It is a class act everywhere else. Now that’s the way to specialize in an alien blog.
I feel I’m in outer space when I’m there. Just make it easier to read and post there and you’ve got a hit.

Love the addition to your blog Michelle. The enlargement makes it so great to post. I can read my entry without the mad search for my glasses first. Thanks.
Oh and I just discovered what the “ABC” is for. Fantastic! It proofs my copy better than my Mac. Now I won’t go and make that investment in that new MacBook Pro.
I have been resisting because frankly Apple has become the typical corporate monster. I have been tolerant because when Apple played by the rules it was squashed by the competition. I guess the good guys came back and decided to show the bad guys how to be bad guys.
But that doesn’t help us good guys any. So I’m looking to spread out my computer investments so as to not enrich Apple too much.
Therefore your additions are all the more valuable. Thanks for the continuous effort to make your blog better.

Eat to Beat Cancer Fatigue
Battling cancer is hard enough, but many cancer survivors also find that fatigue still plagues them…even years after their diagnosis and often after treatment, too.
And this isn’t always just the “I’m a little droopy today” kind of fatigue—some cancer survivors have so little energy that they lose their jobs and stop doing the things that they love.
The fatigue could be due to the cancer, the treatment, the stress of dealing with the disease—or some combination of all three.
What a pity, after having faced up to cancer and defeated it!
So I’m happy to tell you about some progress on this front.
Nobody knows for sure why fatigue lasts so long after getting diagnosed with cancer, but one theory suggests that all that systemic inflammation in the body causes an imbalance in the nervous system, making the “fight or flight” sympathetic nerves overactive and the “resting” parasympathetic nerves underactive—which may lead to fatigue.
We’ve known from past studies that eating certain foods and taking certain supplements can reduce inflammation. So a group of researchers recently studied whether particular foods would help cancer survivors experience less fatigue.
They looked at women who had had breast cancer—but there’s no reason to think that survivors of other types of cancer wouldn’t fall into the same boat.
And the results are very promising!
WHO WAS MOST TIRED?
All the cancer survivors in the study had been treated surgically, and some had also had chemotherapy and/or radiation.
Researchers found an interesting connection between their levels of fatigue and their consumption of two sorts of fatty acids—omega-3 and omega-6.
The women whose diets had the highest ratios of omega-6s to omega-3s and who did not take fish oil, cod-liver oil or flaxseed oil supplements (which contain omega-3s) had the most inflammation…and almost half of them were experiencing chronic fatigue.
The women whose diets had the lowest ratios of omega-6s to omega-3s and who had been taking at least one of the supplements listed above had the least inflammation…and only about one-quarter of them were experiencing chronic fatigue.
In between these two extremes, the less omega-6s and the more omega-3s a woman consumed either in her food or from supplements, the less likely she was to have high inflammation and suffer from fatigue.
WHICH FATS DO YOU EAT?
This result seems unambiguous to me. For these cancer survivors, consuming a small amount of omega-6s relative to omega-3s helped them avoid fatigue—the exact amounts they ate weren’t as important as the ratio.
Researchers aren’t sure whether getting omega-3 fatty acids from food versus getting them from supplements made any difference, so for now, “I’d advise cancer survivors to concentrate on increasing their omega-3 fatty acids and decreasing their omega-6 fatty acids through food,” said Catherine Alfano, PhD, the study’s lead author and deputy director of the office of cancer survivorship at the National Cancer Institute in Bethesda, Maryland.
“Future research will have to test whether taking a supplement that contains omega-3s can help.”
Dr. Alfano pointed out that in our bodies, omega-3s are partly responsible for reducing inflammation, and that that function can be overwhelmed by an abundance of omega-6s. If you maintain a favorable omega-3-to-omega-6 ratio, the anti-inflammatory properties of omega-3s can prevail.
Omega-6s are found in abundance in margarine and vegetable oils (including corn oil, canola oil, sunflower oil, safflower oil and soybean oil) and are therefore plentiful in processed food and commercially baked products.
If you are a cancer survivor, then these oils and foods containing them should become part of your “eat only a little” list.
Meanwhile, omega-3s, with which you should fill your plate, are found mostly in seafood such as salmon, sardines, halibut, scallops, shrimp and tuna, and in other foods such as flaxseed, walnuts, tofu and soybeans.
These are all smart dietary choices in general—and if they can also help you break out of post-cancer fatigue, how terrific is that?

Did I miss something? The aliens have me confused. Are they talking to us or to each other? Who is who? And why are they talking about earth’s past as if they experienced the same events on their world?
This may prove to be too complicated even for Howie. I am very much interested in the Mystery of 3 too. But first I need to get a grasp of the 7 Mystery.
Howie if you can make sense of it, let us know. It could be a bit delicate for you to ask Carr to tell you but how else will anyone know what was on their minds when this was going down or even if it did or the aliens are just as screwed up as we are.
I got lots of calls last night before I went to bed about it. When I woke there were a few more comments. I wonder what time they are on. I’m on EST so it is easy for me to check early before Michelle changes to the next day.
Oh Michelle, I got a call from a friend that said he saw you in a restaurant in San Francisco. He took a picture with his cell phone and sent it to me. He also had a friend take one with him in the background. If I email it to you will you post it to your blog?

June 8th, 2012 at 11:26 pm
Luc and Urte, my ancestors started the human race and they had every intention of extending their life spans to thousands of years.
The original plan included a self governing reproductive gene. The scientist differed as to which sex to activate the gene in. Those that selected the male were convinced that since he was stronger physically, thus, his strength would prevent the female from being aggressive in that area.
Yobv
Lab trials on Mars showed that it prevented the male from taking risks to explore the planet. That killed that idea as it was desired that humans explore their planet and interact with is environment.
Giving the gene to the female produced males with a callous disregard for the young. As a result the youth would be killed at the slightest provocation.
Having to hurriedly move the creatures to earth stopped all test and they were delivered without any adjustment to their reproductive process. Therefore the only curb to that was to add a sub conscience influence through various myths handed down.
June 9th, 2012 at 9:38 am
Howie,
Nice to see you here again. I hope you are doing good.
Lill, you are correct in your intention quote…
