“Just noticing”: Observations Of A Blogger

Good morning!

“Just noticing…”

  • …My blog this morning was being monopolized by the business gentlemen from our beloved Great State of New York. Love the education – Thanks guys!
  • …Former President Hosni Mubarak doesn’t look very happy about the verdict of his life sentence. In my opinion he got off lucky; many wanted him dead.
The case against Mubarak, his sons, and top aides was very limited in scope, focusing only on the uprising’s first few days and two narrow corruption cases. It was never going to provide a full accountability of wrongdoing under Mubarak’s three decades of authoritarian rule enforced by a brutal police force and a coterie of businessmen linked to the regime who amassed wealth while nearly half of Egypt’s estimated 85 million people lived in poverty.
  • …If Romney became president, no doubt, our country would go a similar way of Egypt: Romney, his cronies and the other one-percenters would be the ones amassing all of the wealth, while nearly half, if not more, of our beloved country would live in poverty. Think not? Think again.
  • …The LSOS Club* membership is growing.
  • …If you’re planning on hopping on a plane to enjoy a summer vacation with family, you might be on the same plane, but don’t count on sitting together:
U.S. airlines are reserving a growing number of window and aisle seats for passengers willing to pay extra. That’s helping to boost revenue but also making it harder for friends and family members who don’t pay this fee to sit next to each other. At the peak of the summer travel season, it might be nearly impossible.
  • …Your balls could be a dining delicacy to the highest bidder:
Mao Sugiyama, a self-described “asexual” from Tokyo, cooked up, seasoned and served his own genitalia to five diners at a swanky banquet in Japan last month, Calorie Lab reported.
.
.
.
Oh, there’s quite a few *LSOS’s out there that I think should be next in line to offer up their genitalia.  Although…party of five? I don’t think so – More like a party of three…and for appetizers only. (Now Al, please don’t get mad. :)
      • …Restaurant menus, hands-free faucets, ATM machines and your physician’s scrubs are all among the “germiest” objects on Earth:

Yes, really.

As much as you might like to give the gold medal to toilet seats when it comes to squeamishly germ-ridden locations, science suggests there are much “germier” places that you’re probably frequenting daily.

For example, one study found that each key on an ATM keypad harbors 1,200 germs, including E. coli and cold and flu viruses. The worst button is the “Enter” button, because everyone has to touch it. Flu viruses can survive on hard surfaces such as restaurant menus for as long as 18 hours, according to an article in Mental Flossi. Some of the other dirtiest places and objects might surprise you:

  • Hospitals
  • Lemon Slices in Restaurant Drinks
  • Hotel RoomGlasses
  • Kitchen Cloths and Sponges
  • Faucets and Sink Drains
  • Toothbrushes
  • Food Court Tables
  • Fitting Rooms
  • Restaurant Condiment
  • Toy Stores
  • Hotel Bedspreads and Pillows
  • Light Switches
  • Drinking Fountains
  • Wet laundryafter it’s been washed
  • Escalator Handrails
  • Gym Equipment
  • Handbag Bottoms
  • Gadget Shops
  • Remote Controlsand Computer Keyboards
  • Door Knobs and Handles
  • Cutting Boards
  • Playground Equipment (Swings, Slides and Monkey Bars)
  • Shopping Cart Handles
  • Makeup Samples
  • …How bad the infrastructure is in this country:
According to Akamai, most Americans surf the web at 5.8 Mbps, making the U.S. the lucky number 13 on Akamai’s list. And which country is the world leader in terms of average connection speed? You’ll have to look through the slideshow to find out, but we’ll hint that it’s been the same country since at least 2007.
.
.
.
When you are being beaten by Latvia, Czech Republic, Hong Kong and South Korea we need to wake up. Nobody but President Obama and Progressives are thinking about the future of this country. The republicans are trying to drag this country kicking and screaming back to the 19th century.

Okay I know “just noticing” was founded on not “judging” but sometimes one can’t help it. That being said…

  • …Obama has been the best president, who has done the most for this country, than the past 43 presidents, and yet his presidency has brought out the worst in people, whose sole plan it to do anything and everything possible to prevent him from continuing to be the greatest.

Not “judging”…just a fact.

Readers: What are you “just noticing”?  ”Judging” or not – Blog me.

Happy Sunday everyone!

Lastly, greed over a great story is surfacing from my “loyal”(?) readers. With all this back and forth about who owns what, that appears on my blog, let me reiterate that all material posted on my blog becomes the sole property of my blog. If you want to reserve any proprietary rights don’t post it to my blog. I will prominently display this caveat on my blog from now on to remind those who may have forgotten this notice.

HI Mischa, I went blog MIA this weekend, everything happens when I check out! I cannot find Howie’s comeback comment.

Kelly, I will see what can be done about the pic updates…I was about to give a fitness update today anyway…

For the women of MM blog, I don’t know about you but I have a high threshold for pain, sometimes this serves me and sometimes not, about 9+ months ago I hurt my hip through various activities – yes, what you’re thinking included though add some sports into that and yes, my soas and hip flexor needed rehabing. I’m telling you this bc I don’t want you to do what I did for a time, live with =unnecessary pain= for any length of time thinking (hoping) it will get better!
I already sleep on my body support system product so that helped me get rest, but it did not fix my pain entirely. & I couldn’t figure out why.
I finally tried a personal trainer and it worked – to a degree, he gave me different exercises than I’d been doing so I was not exacerbating the pain – when it still wasn’t working, he told me to try taking more ibuprofen to alleviate inflammation, every 3 hours for 3 days, well I did it for 4 and still no relief, clearly something else was needed. (I am usually against taking anything so it wasn’t his fault I’m stubborn that way)

A friend sent me to his friend – & this accupuncturist changed my life, what was going on was I had nerve impulses still sending ‘pain zing this way’ much like an amputees phantom pain, there’s nothing phantom about it, it has to be alleviated or it continues endlessly…4 weeks later, a brief meeting with a physical therapist who commented on how my tenacious-ness is what prevented me from throwing in the ‘work out’ towel, usually people in nerve sensation pain stop working out – I urge you if you have anything like this happening – please do not do this – I’m not saying work out if your in tremendous pain but go and do what you can, walk, life lighter weights, whatever, just get blood moving to the area until you can hone in on who can fix you, and ask for referrals from peeps who are into holistic living, no magic bullet of muscle relaxer will make it go away for good. So next time you pull your soas muscle and overstretch your proformis, go get fixed. I maintained an attitude of it’ll all work out throughout the past span of time, though right now, I’m finally in heaven and pain free…

Tracy, I’ve got the ‘more to come’ factor working, a woman at the gym asked me about this topic: men (& sex, but of course) and when I addressed her questions, she said ‘you need to tell more women that’ hmm, ok, I will bc I hate to see women get caught up in finding their equality (or thinking their ‘liberated’) by acting or thinking like a man, that’s bs…in your femaleness and acting like a woman is your empowerment, wielded well, men and women will want to be in your inner circle and you get the attention, power, love, sex, (fill in the blank) you are seeking. Embrace it and own it and the world is your freakin’ oyster… : ) I’ve got to run right now, work beckons and I’m going to answer bc I want to, I will be back with a few bon mots asap though….

    Luv, Zen Lill
