Permission To Abuse Women
Posted by Michelle Moquin on September 13th, 2012
Good morning!
Social Butterfly: This was on my radar to post today (Great minds think alike) and since you mentioned it the other day (Thank you), and this is a women’s blog, I found it important to repost for all the girls out there.
Pat Robertson, Televangelist, Encourages Man To Become Muslim So He Can Beat His Wife
Once again, Pat Robertson has said something ridiculously offensive and cruel.
Past targets have included gays, feminists and pagans, atheists, people with Alzheimer’s, adoptive parents, Haitians and people who don’t pray enough. This time, the televangelist focused his ire on wives who fail to properly obey their husbands.
On Monday’s broadcast of Robertson’s television show “The 700 Club,” he answered a question from a viewer named Michael about how to repair his marriage to a woman who “has no respect for me as the head of the house.”
Robertson’s response: “Well, you could become a Muslim and you could beat her.”
Bizarrely, this comment elicited laughter from Robertson’s co-host, Terry Meeuwsen.
Unfortunately, Robertson didn’t stop there.
“I don’t think we condone wife-beating these days but something has got to be done to make her.”
He also called the woman a “rebellious child” who doesn’t want to “submit to any authority.” However, since the Scripture doesn’t allow for divorce, Robertson urged the husband to “move to Saudi Arabia,” where, ostensibly, beating the woman would be permissible.
WATCH THE VIDEO ABOVE.
According to Right Wing Watch, the very same clip was edited when posted on the Christian Broadcast Network’s website in order to remove the offensive rhetoric.
And if you’re tempted to write off Robertson as just a fringe character, know this: He spent last weekend hanging out with Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, NBC News reported.
******
Readers: Mike, TM posted a comment yesterday, that I just approved this morning when I saw it in waiting. However, I thought that it was important to repost it as well. You’ll notice the repost in comment #1 this morning. Thanks Mike.
Before I sign off, I just want to say how upset I am about the murders in Libya, and now the assaults in Yemen and Egypt. I send my condolences to the family and friends, and HOPE that the rest of the American abroad remain safe.
Peace & Love…
Lastly, greed over a great story is surfacing from my “loyal”(?) readers. With all this back and forth about who owns what, that appears on my blog, let me reiterate that all material posted on my blog becomes the sole property of my blog. If you want to reserve any proprietary rights don’t post it to my blog. I will prominently display this caveat on my blog from now on to remind those who may have forgotten this notice.
Gratefully your blog host,

If you think what Romney has done is bad, then you need to google Ronald Reagan and the Panama canal. This despicable character used it to cause a international incident in order to become the republican presidential candidate.
=========================
Even after John Wayne sent Reagan a private and personal note offering to show him “point by goddam point in the treaty where you are misinforming people,” and offering fair warning that it was time for the Gipper to shut his piehole (“If you continue to make these erroneous remarks, someone will publicize your letter to prove that you are not as thorough in your reviewing this treaty as you say or are damned obtuse when it comes to reading the English language”), Ronald Reagan doubled down. – Drift, by Rachel Maddow [page 33]
======================
By the way “Drift” by Rachel Maddow is a must read if you want to understand how the the B actor whore sold out to the Military Industrial Complex in a way that changed the balance of power of government to private enterprise to make money of waging wars.
Also you will learn about the Iran Contra scandal. What you will not learn is that Ronald Reagan sold our the lives of american civilians and military men to gain the White House.
He made a deal with Iran not to release the prisoners until after the election. In return he promised to give them arms. So after he was elected they returned the prisoners the next day for a huge array of arms and technology.
He also authorized the CIA to develop a form of cocaine that could be smoked, Crack Cocaine, to be sold in black ghettos to finance his illegal war in Nicaragua http://www.trutv.com/conspiracy/government-lies/government-drug-dealer/reagan-nicaragua.html.
It destroyed the lives of millions of people in the US and hundreds of millions of lives in Central and South America. It is a legacy that lives on today with huge drug cartel that have made it way to Mexico.
This guy was so desperate for money he allowed a lowly colonel to direct policy in Nicaragua for the Contras war. He was America’s Biggest Drug dealer. He organized the movement of thousands of tons of cocaine with the Director of the CIA, Casey.
Together they made Colombia’s Medellin Drug cartel. Reagan used the weapons stockpile to arm and train the drug dealers in counter insurgency and overthrow of governments.
Anonz sent me stuff on film of Reagan accepting money and hundreds of tapes of reagan giving orders and doing deals with Oliver North, Poindexter, Casey, Felix Rodriquez and many others.
This guy was so crooked, if a small bit of this material was ever to see the light of day, he would be impeached in absentia.
I viewed several reels of tape in black and white and color made by several NSA, DEA and other secret agencies showing President Ronald Reagan doing drug deals, weapons deals. Some were boldly signed by DEA agents Celerno CAstillo III and Michael Levine.
Ronald Reagan worked with Israel and key scientist to develop the AIDS virus to thin out the blacks of South Africa for whites. He was a racist second only to Hitler with what he was willing to do to OTWS.
They planned to inoculate the whores along the Gold Coast of Africa. The gave it to the whores along that route because it was driven by black long haul truck drivers. They administered it in a foam that was placed inside the vaginas of the prostitutes telling them it was
a form of birth control and STD protection.
It was a fatal disease that killed silently and would be spread from woman to man. It was not intended to kill the black women. They would only be carriers.
Unfortunately, they never counted on white men taking it up the ass and passing it on to other white men.
http://www.democracynow.org/2004/6/7/noam_chomsky_on_reagans_legacy_bush
This was the original Money Whore. He would do anything for a buck. You have to remember he used to take it up the ass for parts. Men were very much a part of Hollywoods’ Casting Couch.
Anonz delights in showing Ronnie sucking dick and giving up ass for bit movie parts.

Men will do anything to control women. They will follow crazed maniac as long as he proclaims that god gives men the right to tell women what to do.
That’s it in a nutshell.

Binyamin Netanyahu met with Mitt Romney in public when he visited Israel. This was the first time in history that an Israel leader met with a candidate running for office in public.
This has undoubtedly pissed Obama off. Netanyahu is betting that Romney will win the White House, because he knows that he can pressure Romney into a war with Iran.
The US military industrial complex is frothing at the mouth at the possibility of making trillions from a war with Iran. The energy boys and billionaires are also frothing at the mouth at the possibility of making trillions from energy sales and the investments they have made in the long term sales of oil.
They are betting that the price for crude will go up to the tune of trillions of dollars. If they get a war with Iran their will be trillionaires and billionaires will be the new millionaires.
These people are so greedy they are willing to bankrupt the world for more money that they will never be able to spend in a thousand life times.
If Obama loses, plan for a disaster unimaginable. I will be a trillionaire. You, the USA, and the rest of the world will be broke.
Anonz
Let me point out that it was one of the Koch brothers who produced that video. They did it to create this kind of unrest so they could have Mitt argue that Obama was weak in international policy.
They are setting the stage for a complete breakdown in relationships with the USA and the moslem world. They are taking a page from the Ronald Reagan book when he conspired with Iran to defeat Carter. This time Iran will be the intended target.
If war breaks out in other places, that is fine with those in the business of speculating in energy and those in providing goods and services for the US military. They are certain that with the present result they have nixed the President’s ability to cut military spending even if Obama wins.

I am the new visitor to your planet. I have been here before when you were not so rich in nutrients. My kind live off the bacteria on human skin. When we first discovered your planet we were not aware that you were being protected by the federation.
We had never seem beings like you. You were abundantly rich in the food that we needed. Hence we were more than willing to fight for the right to mine you. We left and engaged the federation far away from your solar system. We did not wish damaging you.
Unfortunately my kind was vanquished by the vice general of the federation fleet. He has since become the Emperor, a colonizer in his own right.
I am delighted to be back. i will being immediately farming you. I don’t think you are aware of the numbers and variety of bacterial you harbor on your bodies. Each part of your body provides an excellent environment different sets of bacteria. All so very, very tasty.
I will give this information to your scientists. They would not have been able to detect the millions of different types of bacteria that live on your skin. But using DNA technology they will be able to type them. It will be most interesting for humans to learn that they are a planet unto themselves. Providing a home for billions of microscopic entities.
All of which are very tasty to my kind. I love every inch of your bodies. Some are more tasty, and or more nutritious than others.
You humans may get lucky. If the gods take a liking to you, you will write yourself a new story. But beware, they have physical appetites.

Get the #1 Book in the Country for Just $3.95
Dear Fellow Conservative,
America can NOT endure another four years under the control of Barack Hussein Obama.
If you thought his first term was bad, you ain’t seen nothing yet.
That’s why I’m thrilled that Americans across the country have flocked to Dinesh D’Souza’s new documentary, “2016.” Movie critics are calling it the surprise hit of the season.
And that’s why I want to make sure you have Dinesh D’Souza’s blockbuster book, Obama’s America: Unmaking the American Dream. This is the book that just hit #1 on the New York Times bestseller list and it is the driving force behind D’Souza’s new movie.
For a limited time, you can get the #1 book in the country, Obama’s America, for just $3.95.
In this new bestselling book, D’Souza reveals Obama’s real aim: to diminish the footprint of America in the world. According to D’Souza, rather than champion American interests at home or abroad, Obama has appointed himself the architect of American decline. The book provides shocking evidence showing how Obama has laid the seeds to ensure that by 2016 America will be just one of the herd.
Take advantage of our incredible offer to get the book that has just been named the #1 bestselling book in the country… THE book that spurred this summer’s blockbuster movie. Get Obama’s America: Unmaking the American Dream at the incredibly low price of $3.95.
For the movement and for you,

The only Middle East policy I’ve heard the Romney camp articulate is his desire to go to war with Iran. Not that it would have any effect on terrorism except to increase terrorist recruitment but it would be a boon for defense contractors and oil companies.
September 13th, 2012 at 11:33 am
Romney’s own ticket mate has abandoned him.
Ryan has already arranged to run ads in Wisconsin for his seat in the House! It’s legal for him to do that, but I’ve never before seen a candidate for VP do it. He is making it plain that he doesn’t fully believe in his own ticket. He’s running away from Romney as fast as he can.
Romney is the least capable candidate in generations. Not only that, he has put out innumerable lies about his own record and that of the president throughout his campaign. It’s been a really shameful display of putting himself above his country from start to finish.

The only presidential person making comments so far is Mitt. obama cowered, checked with lawyers, then finally got his teleprompter warmed up and spoke. Incompetence highlighted.
September 13th, 2012 at 1:53 pm
Heard Mr. Romney finally expressed some sort of sadness for the American lives lost.
Of course, it took the polls and his handlers to point out he should do this. But he finally did.
Romney – hasn’t a clue what common decency is. Not a friggin’ clue.

Looks like the Right is still determined to block OTWs from voting. I am white but I am beginning to come around to the mantra on this blog that we whites enjoy to benefit of “jUStice.
Otherwise why would a white republican judge refuse to grant the people the right to vote while the legality of the law is being determined.
One would think that would be a no brainer considering the judge was aware of testimony stated by the people who wrote the law that there was no voter fraud in the state of Pennsylvania. Therefore the state of Pennsylvania would lose nothing by allowing the people to vote in the November ballot.
================================
‘Nightmare’ Pennsylvania Voter ID Law Revisited in Court
Ari Berman on September 13, 2012 – 2:20 PM ET
Philadelphia, PA—A wave of new voting restrictions have been struck down by the courts in recent weeks. A major exception is Pennsylvania, where Commonwealth Court Judge Robert Simpson, a Republican, declined to issue a preliminary injunction against the state’s controversial voter ID law on August 15.
Today in Philadelphia, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court convened in a packed, standing-room-only courtroom to revisit the law. A decision is expected in the next few weeks to determine whether Pennsylvania will be the largest swing state with a new, restrictive voter ID law on the books for the 2012 election.
David Gersch, the lead lawyer for the plaintiffs (which include voting rights groups such as the ACLU and the Advancement Project), argued that Judge Simpson erred in failing to conclude that Pennsylvania’s voter ID law “impermissibly violates the right to vote.” Gersch noted the significance of holding the hearing in Philadelphia, “the birthplace of American democracy,” in a state whose constitution explicitly protects the right to vote.
========================
Yes, I would seem to be more logical to allow the people to vote since there was no record of voter fraud in Pennsylvania, unless the object of the law in the first place was to PREVENT a section of the electorate from voting. So a white, republican judge does just that.
Where is the outcry from OTWs and whites? Well it falls down party lines. So republicans are for constitutional rights and the promise it represents unless those they don’t like can avail themselves of those rights.
By and large that may be true for most republicans. It is not entirely true. This Pennsylvanian white, republican voter will vote for the democratic ticket.

Hi Mischa, this man is insane and he said it twice, ugh…how do we get him admitted for dementia? Why is he allowed to speak on behavior or anything else?
Larry, thanks for asking after me. I hope things are going well for you in Palermo.
I’ve been in mourning, still am… Last Thursday, a very good friend’s daughter, 14 yrs old, (& a friend of my daughter), took her own life. It’s been horrible…and not many of our friends could stomach hearing my pals’ screams of pain, it was difficult for me, too, like watching a pregnant woman work through a contraction but worst, the wall of pain would descend and there was nothing I could do for her, but I felt being in her presence was the thing to do.
I’m good at shutting the hell up and just holding someone when that’s what’s necessary. It’s been hard to concentrate on working much, and I spend what little free time I have consoling my own kid and driving around wondering what this girls last moments of despondency must’ve been like, the pain she must’ve been in and hiding so well, all that runs through my head…and that’s probably TMI but that’s where I’ve been, just catching up here in last 2 days – so Lindsay, thank you for asking about me also, not feeling very firebrand-ish at the moment but that Zen Lill will return soon.
Mischa, hope you’re enjoying your holiday : )
Interesting info from MikeTM and Anonz as usual, you never fail to inform us of impending doom. Thank you though, bc I would rather know than be oblivious.
Luv, Zen Lill

The republican party has no scruples. So when the individual members see something wrong and voice it, they get whipped into line. Hence, those members like John McClain who initially said what they actually felt which was that Romney acted precipitously, later joined the party line and not they too are backing the politicizing of the deaths of the ambassador and his staff.

Michelle, so many have been paid to hide the original backers of this movie. I know some who have taken thousands of dollars to hide the true promoter.
This was not done by arabs, coptic or any other. It was done by the evangelical right and paid for by a guy who handed my friend a briefcase full of $100 bills.
Then he returned after it was finished and brought more money and edited that version and passed out scripts with money to those whose jobs were to pretend that the movie ended with them.
The right is definitely doing whatever it can to defeat Obama.

When they ask you whether you are better off? How about saying to them after you allow the to right.
You’re right though, it’s about jobs and the economy. Mitt likes to bring up the old question about “are you better off now than you were four years ago?” but I’m not so sure he really wants anyone to think too hard about that.
Four years ago, the housing market was in free-fall, along with the rest of the economy, we were rapidly losing jobs at an increasing rate, we were mired in a directionless, unpopular, unaffordable, bloody fight in Iraq, a neglected, half-assed fight in Afghanistan, Bin Laden was thumbing his nose at us from his comfy abode and the president wasn’t offering any good answers to any of these things. Then Obama was elected.
The economy pulled out of its dive, we now add jobs instead of losing them, the housing market is beginning to recover, we’re done fighting in Iraq, an end is within sight in Afghanistan and Bin Laden is dead. Heck, I bought my house in ’09 and it has actually increased in value.
The difference between now and four years ago is night and day. We’re much better off now. Mitt “The least interesting man in the world” Romney doesn’t stand a chance if that’s the question he’s asking. Being a cagey, secretive, defensive, aloof, unrelateable super-rich guy (and he can’t not be) isn’t working in his favor.
September 13th, 2012 at 7:04 pm
The article is only a day old, but I am glad that other people are using it. It is a useful response to Obama’s scurrilous attacks.
All Romney is trying to be is somebody who likes both America and Capitalism. That is the choice presented this cycle. Do we return to the principles that made us great, or follow Obama till we all live in versions of Detroit or Chicago?
September 13th, 2012 at 7:34 pm
It can be safely assumed that all presidential candidates like America. Liking America and wanting to do the best you can to help it into the future is a functional definition of patriotism.
The idea of America is open to interpretation, which is one of the good things about it. When we start calling the opposition “un-American” just because we disagree with them is the worst aspect of partisanship.
So, if liking America isn’t a distinguishing characteristic in this race, all Mitt has then is capitalism. That’s a weak position in this day and age.
We should definitely return to the principles that made us great. We really became a world superpower in the decades following the second world war, when progressivism made its greatest mark. If we want a strong America, progress must be made.
September 13th, 2012 at 7:35 pm
Anyone who says “Obama hates America” is, clearly, a child and does not deserve a rational debate.
Anyone who calls Obama “anti-colonialist” and “Marxist” is obviously just parroting the paranoid nonsense peddled by Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh.
I highly suggest that we refrain from affording uneducated, misinformed riff-raff, like Shadrach, the respect of taking him seriously.
September 13th, 2012 at 7:39 pm
I said what I meant. I believe that Obama hates America, as an extension of the anti-Colonialist dream he got from his father. I believe that Obama hates Capitalism, as an extension of Obama’s Marxist training and mentors.
Obama’s recent “You didn’t build it” ad lib has made the second point hard to miss. I mean, Detroit has lots of empty streets and buildings with sewer connections.
Believe what you want, but I will speak for myself.
September 13th, 2012 at 7:43 pm
I hope this is the final death knell of the Republican party. Laura Ingraham thinks they should start over with new people. I think they should dry up and blow away, permanently.
If they DO start up again, I would suggest starting, not with NEW people, but with PEOPLE. Period. You know…HUMANS. Brains. Hearts. All that stuff.
September 13th, 2012 at 7:45 pm
Romney is in free fall. The Koch puppet is destroying himself.

I listen to the news anchors say that the Pennsylvania supreme court is made up of 3 dems and 3 repubs with the Chief justice being a republicans.
Damn! I am just sick of white american justice. People are in court for justice and white american is discussing the make up of the political persuasion of the court.
What the fuck happened to going to court for justice. Whites are so used to using the courts as a means of keeping the OTW from equality that they have no problem discussing the justice one can expect based on the political party the judge belongs to.
Why not accept that as a premise for justice when justice for you has always been based on the race and sex of the justice?
After all whites used that scenario for more than two hundred years to guarantee that the white race, especially men received favoritism from the courts when the adversary was an OTW or female.
That’s why the transition from race to party being the justification for receiving favoritism is no big deal the the white race.
Talking to them about the injustice of having a legal case being determined by the political affiliation of the judge, is lost on them. They see nothing wrong with it.
This race is past being hypocritical, they are, for the most, part just damaged goods. Only a white judge could nothing illogical about a state writing a law to fix a problem that DOSEN’T exist.
Hence, when the State showed up and stipulated that there was NO fraudulent voter crime in the state of Pennsylvania but they wanted to enact a law that could disenfranchise hundreds of thousands of voters to prevent the possibility that one could occur, the white judges said “okay, let’s hear it.”
Hell, in the lower court a white judge granted the request. Is there any wonder this race took a 120 year head start on the world in technology, and squandered it?
America will hot truly be great until the division of the race of this country is more proportionally even. The white boy is just damaged goods.

#23.Smith, Anti-Colonial views he got from his father? The absent father he met twice in his young life? OK Danesh DeSouza!
Same tired crap the Right threw at him in 2008,nothing doing pal. He won then, and he will win again!
Mitt and his sorry handlers are in panic mode over his debunked attack on the Pres.regarding Libya. Talk about Mitt’s habit of Ready, Fire, Aim strategy. Good luck on that.
September 13th, 2012 at 9:21 pm
If you believe that, you’re a bigger sucker than I thought. Even I don’t believe that republicans hate America. I know that it’s possible to disagree with sensible, logical opinions about the responsibilities of government.
The inane “un-American” charge is for people who don’t think. It’s a weak-minded short cut to dismiss the validity of your opposition.
That way, you can’t be wrong. Safe and sound, wrapped in a warm blanket of ignorance. The bad news is that people are fallible, they can be wrong. What if it was actually, stunningly true that Obama does in fact love America?
What then? Would the fabric of space-time suddenly tear and an army of howling demons would come out and eat your children, key your car and drink directly from the milk carton? Really though, what are you afraid of?
September 13th, 2012 at 9:22 pm
Obama has had 30 straight months of private sector job growth. Sounds like right direction to me! Imagine how many more had Congress passed his Jobs Bills rather than push their crazy anti woman TeaParty agenda!

So you and the rest of the Prince of Kolob supporters are wanting to re-litigate the 2008 campaign? Good luck with that.
Every presidential candidate in recent memory has released tax returns in order to have financial transparency, Mormon Mitt is setting a dangerous precedent, even for a plutocrat.
The reason why he will lose is his flippant disregard for tradition and his attitude of ‘it’s my turn’ and ‘how dare you question my finances’ people are turned off to. Well, at least the swing voters that I know
September 13th, 2012 at 9:25 pm
Anti American and anti capitalist Obama is bad for America and Capitalism.
Romney would be much better, and you and your friends can vote for whomever you want.
September 13th, 2012 at 9:30 pm
In America, somebody who makes $60k or 70k a year in wages must will pay twice or triple the tax rate of a multimillionaire, and anybody who questions this is “bad for America and Capitalism.”
The multimillionaire will tell you the tax system is terrible, unfair, ridiculous, and over-complicated, but his proposals to change it generally involve him paying even less.
And of course, it goes without saying that voters have no right to know how their potential president keeps his tax bill low, because it’s all completely legal and nothing for him to be ashamed of — as he repeatedly asserts.
Naturally, he’s also really proud of his work and his career, really it’s the reason we’re supposed to vote for him, though he’s constantly at pains to tell you exactly when he quit and how he wasn’t responsible for anything after a certain date even though his name was on all the paperwork — though, as he pointed out, there’d be nothing wrong if he was still running things at the time.
Seriously, I dunno if Mitt Romney believes in Capitalism, he’s extremely picky about which parts of it he wants to take credit for. I mean he’ll tell you a good line about individualism and your rights, but it all really seems contingent on wether or not it benefits him or not.
You’d expect a defender of Capitalism to not distance himself from Bain, right or wrong, or from his taxes, right or wrong. He just doesn’t want to take any sort of responsibility for his decisions, or even his successes, when they look bad politically.
I mean, if America is a Capitalist country, a billionaire slumlord should have no problems running for office. The fact that everyone, including you, basically acknowledges that many of his previous actions hurt him politically, and that he benefits from not talking about them, implicitly concedes that a lot of American voters are in fact decent human beings, and thus, probably just as “bad for ‘Capitalism’” as Obama.
So I guess the only question left for you is, how do we lie and obfuscate to the voters long enough to save Capitalism from them?
September 13th, 2012 at 9:35 pm
Find me someone who throws the words “Anti-American” into EVERY SINGLE ARGUMENT, and I will show you someone who is truly Anti-American.
There is nothing more threatening to our way of life than dangerous, flame-throwing dolts who feel the need to challenge the “Americanism” and patriotism of those around them.
These modern day wanna-be McCarthy-ists, like ShadrachSmith, are the least American of all of us. No one hates America more than they do.
Because they spread fear and trade in innuendo and aspersions. They thrive on the political advantage gained by mistrust and suspicion.
They toss around terms like, Un-American, and Marxist, and Socialist, and Liberal, as if they were all the same scary “other”, and as if they all bear identical definitions. There is always a racial undertone, no matter how vehemently they deny and deflect it.
I shall not be baited into defending my Americanism nor that of our President. It is beneath our dignity as a nation to have to answer to such contrived divisiveness.

Terry Williams is facing the death penalty in three weeks for killing the man who repeatedly raped him.
But when Terry was convicted, the jury didn’t know the whole story. At the time of his trial, jurors say they had no history or background of the sexual assault and abuse that Terry Williams had suffered for years.
Terry was brutally raped for five years, beginning when he was thirteen, by an older man he trusted — Amos Norwood. When the jury learned his information after the trial, five jurors came forward to say that they no longer supported his death sentence. Even Norwood’s widow has forgiven him, and does not want Terry to be executed.
Sign the petition on Change.org asking Governor Tom Corbett of Pennsylvania to stop Terry’s execution scheduled on October 3 — click here to add your name.
“When I heard about Terry Williams’ life and his legal case, I knew I had to do what I could to stop the scheduled execution of a man who should not be on death row and would not be on death row had the jury heard all the relevant evidence,” said Sue Osthoff, Director of the National Clearinghouse for the Defense of Battered Women, a Philadelphia-based organization that assists victims of abuse and trauma who have been charged with crimes related to their abuse.
Like many of the victims of abuse Sue assists, Terry was repeatedly victimized. For Terry, that abuse by older males in his life started when he was only six years old. Despite continuing to suffer sexual abuse for the next twelve years, Terry received no counseling or support to help him deal with the repeated violence he endured. In fact, some of the people who were supposed to help were the ones who actually preyed on him.
None of this information was presented to the jurors during Terry’s sentencing; had it been, Terry would not be on death row.
The public outcry for Terry’s clemency is growing. A broad coalition of people has joined the jurors and victim’s widow in asking that Terry’s sentence be commuted from death to life. Those calling for Terry’s life to be spared include a growing list of child advocates, victims’ rights advocates, former prosecutors and judges, law professors, mental health professionals, and faith leaders across Pennsylvania.
Sue Osthoff is very familiar with stories like Terry’s. She started this petition because she believes that if the jury had all of the evidence, they would not have sentenced Terry to death.
Join Sue in calling on Governor Corbett to spare Terry Williams’ life for killing the man who raped him.

Romney is obviously one who is qualified to run our country. When people attack his people, he doesn’t feel the need to pull any punches, he doesn’t tiptoe around, he doesn’t act as if there could have been some justification for the attacks at the same time that he’s condemning them.
He has the guts to tell the world in no uncertain terms that he won’t stand for them killing our people. Romney is the only candidate who puts our safety and protection above all else. He is the only real man running for office.

It appears that you can inherit lots of money and make it grow and still be dumb as a stick.
Italians have an expression:”people get the government they deserve”. If this useless twit is elected than this country will be getting what it deserves.

Just what we need. Another spoiled rich draft dodging white private school educated former businessman to lead us into another illegal war.
We already know he lies about every other day, so lying us into war would be easy for him. And he is a sociopath(as evidenced by his high school bullying) and would feel no qualms about sending the “you people” to fight for his buddies’ oil fortunes.
He knows none of his five sons would serve, and none of the rich will know anyone personally who he would send. Willard. Like W. Only Worse.

Republicans belong to a party without scruples. I feel disturbed by this sort of overt politicization of an issue that should unite all Americans in seeking justice against those who took the lives of our citizens in this attack.
After Pearl Harbor landed us into WWII, sure, there was a ideological clash between isolationists and those who favored entry into the war, but the citizens pulled together.
After 9/11, we went so far from politicizing the attacks that we actually let the Bush administration take advantage of our grieving nation and push through such gems as the Patriot Act, not killing Bin Laden nor trying that hard to do so, and of course, invading Iraq because they didn’t have WMDs or Al Queida ties until…….after we invaded there and fueled a Muslim insurgency.
Now isn’t the time to manipulate the public into taking sides. Now is the time to be figuring out who did this, where they are hiding at, and which multi-million dollar piece of military technology we are going to use to send their souls off to whoever they pray to.
Anything less than that is a distraction and an insult to those who lost their lives, to them and the American people who deserve and demand that justice be done.

Well said! Instead of denouncing the Egyptians who killed our Ambassador and 3 other Americans, people are so quick to condemn Mitt Romney, a fellow American, who only stood up and declared his loyalty to America. What is wrong with patriotism and loyalty to America??

The New York Times just reported that if every registered voter made it to the voting booth, President Obama “would be the 91% favorite.” But they call it “very unlikely…that Democrats will turn out as high a percentage of their voters as Republicans do,” and that’s why President Obama is neck and neck.
We must prove them wrong to win this race. Right now this race is 50-50. But if you and your friends and family stay home on Election Day, we will lose President Obama and the Senate.

Wolf Blitzer was practically salivating over the riots in Egypt. The whole media is like a bunch of starving animals fighting over a piece of meat. They are all disgusting ansd shameless in their exploitation of this tragedy

CNN is reporting that four people have been arrested who allegedly participated in the attack on our embassy in Libya.
Other reports indicate that the assault was planned for weeks. This was a terrorist attack carried out by an organized group that used the outrage over that stupid movie as cover.
The Libyan government and people are not to blame. It is the usual suspects that have bedeviled the entire world since I was a child a long time ago.
The players and the stupid names they pick for their little groups change, but it’s the same people doing the same monstrous things.
They hijacked planes and killed passengers in the 1970s. Killed athletes at an Olympic Games. Shot up airports. Bombed the World Trade Center and then took the towers down with commercial jets. And, yes, they blew up the federal building in Oklahoma.
The same nuts. The same fanaticism. They spring up everywhere and do their damage and eventually are wiped out or sent to jail, but they keep popping back up in a new guise driven by the same hate.
What’s important to remember is that you can’t line up an army, send in the tanks and get these people for the most part. I said back after 9/11 that it would be dirty, filthy business to find and eliminate the people responsible, fought in the dark by SEAL teams and spies. Tanks are no good for this work, though drones and other new tools are of some use.
We don’t need to invade, we need to find and spirit them away or let the countries where they hide catch and bring them to justice.
Sickening. So sorry for the ambassador’s family, the ambassador and the people all over the world these monsters prey on with their hate.
What’s more sickening is to realize that even when we get this bunch another will form plotting to destroy for the sake of destroying.

Michelle, in keeping with the topic you posted, I would like to say that I don’t know why Robertson suggested to the man he would have to become a moslem to beat his wife. He could become Southern Baptist. Many of those sects take the Bible literally and condone, nay ENCOURAGE, wifebeating.
I suppose the craft Roberson was trying to hide that.

I am a muslim and I find the reference to my religion and wife beating insulting. He is just another Jin Crow Christian.
