Good morning!

My girlfriend Tracey sent this write to me for me to post this morning. Thanks T – this is for you. – Hey, how about coming on and saying hello to me and my readers.

Anti-Gay Zealot Guilty of Child Pornography After Videotaping 14-Year-Old Daughter Having Sex

Lisa Biron faces 25 years in prison for filming her 14-year-old having sex with two men on multiple occasions.

A New Hampshire lawyer who works with a virulently anti-gay Christian-right organization has been found guilty of child pornography charges after videotaping her own daughter having sex with two men on multiple occasions.

Lisa Biron, 43, of Manchester faces a minimum sentence of 25 years in prison after a jury convicted her yesterday. The jury deliberated for less than an hour.

Biron, arrested by the FBI last November, was accused of eight felony counts involving the videotaping of men having sex with a 14-year-old girl who was identified by the Associated Press as her daughter. She also allegedly made a cellphone video of herself having sex with her daughter.

Biron, who claimed on her Facebook page (which was taken down, according to the Concord Monitor) that the Bible was her favorite book, had worked with Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF), formerly the Alliance Defense Fund, in defending a Pentecostal church in Concord in a tax fight against the city.

The Arizona-based ADF calls itself a “servant ministry” that seeks to transform the legal system and advocate “for religious liberty, the sanctity of life, and marriage and family.” The group issues dire warnings about “the homosexual agenda” and offers a book (available for a donation of $35) by its president, Alan Sears, and senior director Craig Osten, with that title. In the book, the authors claim that “the homosexual agenda” will destroy religious liberty and free speech. In one chapter, they claim that homosexuality on college campuses leads to pedophilia, and that homosexuality and pedophilia “are intrinsically linked,” a falsehood long perpetuated by the anti-gay right to demonize LGBT people.

In the wake of Biron’s arrest, the ADF removed all mentions of her from its website and Facebook page, and in a November “CBS News” report the ADF said that Biron was never an employee. The group has released no further statements on Biron. According to the LGBT blog Joe.My.God., the group continued to remove mentions of her from its Facebook page yesterday and banned anyone who posted anything about her.

Biron may not have been a formal employee of the ADF, but John Aravosis at Americablog found that she had been a member of the ADF “Honor Corps,” the group created to recognize allied attorneys who complete 450 hours of pro bono service for the group and to award and recognize “significant milestones” in service. Honor Corps attorneys also receive perks from the ADF like pro bono referrals and opportunities, job and résumé postings, invitations to their regional legal academies, and access to online resources and confidential updates and presentations. In March 2011, Biron was mentioned by the ADF as an “Allied Attorney Success Story.” The ADF website doesn’t list that anymore.

Readers: A mother…a bible loving anti-gay woman videotapes her 14 year-old daughter having sex with two men. (Not to mention having sex with her herself and taping it!) If a woman is going to do this to her own daughter what does that say? Although this is not a common act, we women and girls have enough on our hands with men exploiting and abusing us, we don’t need a woman assisting in the sickness, we need women to help stop it.

Blog me.

Argo won the Golden Gloves award for best picture and director. It reminded me why we need you Howie and the occasional alien truth about what really happened historically.

As I watched Andrea Mitchell congratulate Ben Affleck on receiving those awards the elephant in the room was that the movie was not factual it had a very big lie in it.

I’m white but since the fact is that all forms of the media in this country are controlled by us whites, we have to accept the fact that our race is too particular about the truth.

So Howie, I hope you get well as soon as you can. We need to know just what the aliens are hinting at when we are told that FDR was murdered.

I see a movie on the horizon.

  2. Health Info Says:

Antibiotics: Watch Out for the Winter Spike

It’s January, which means that it’s time for warm gloves, furry coats and…antibiotics.
    Yep, antibiotics.

A new study shows that adults in the US are prescribed antibiotics most often right now, during the first three months of the year.

Now, you might argue, Well, that’s because more people get bacterial infections during the winter.

But check out what else these researchers found, and you’ll see that there may be another reason for it…and, frankly, it’s a reason that outrages me—the findings suggest that many doctors may be behaving badly and putting people at risk.

    DOCS PRESCRIBE AT THEIR DISCRETION

Scientists examined the national Medicare records of about 1 million seniors annually over three years.

They tracked antibiotic prescriptions month by month to see when the most antibiotics were prescribed. They also analyzed the prevalence of the following conditions…

Category 1: Bacterial pneumonia. This disease almost always requires antibiotics, according to the study authors.

Category 2: Acute nasopharyngitis (the common cold) and nonspecific upper respiratory tract infections.

These diseases are usually viral infections, so antibiotics are almost never necessary, according to the study authors.

Category 3: Sinusitis, pharyngitis, tonsillitis and bronchitis. These diseases sometimes require antibiotics, but often they don’t, according to the study authors.

In addition, they compared disease prevalence and antibiotic prescription rates in the four main US regions—the Northeast, South, Midwest and West.

Results: As I mentioned earlier, antibiotics were prescribed most often during the first three months of the year.

And the rate of bacterial pneumonia (category one), which almost always requires antibiotics, also spiked during those months.

So upon first glance, you might think that solely explains the spike in antibiotic prescriptions.

But take a close look at this next finding. When the researchers compared the four regions, they found that the areas that had the highest prevalence of bacterial pneumonia, on average, did not have the highest rate of antibiotic prescriptions, on average, as you would expect.

For example, the Northeast had the highest prevalence of bacterial pneumonia, but it didn’t have the highest antibiotic prescription rate—it had the second lowest, after the South and the Midwest. Very peculiar, isn’t it?

In addition, the rates of the diseases that fell into categories two and three (which don’t usually require antibiotics) also spiked during the first three months of the year—not just bacterial pneumonia.

“These findings imply that it’s likely that some antibiotics were prescribed inappropriately to older adults to treat diseases that don’t typically require those drugs,” explained lead study author Yuting Zhang, PhD.

    A QUESTIONING ATTITUDE

You, of course, know that overusing antibiotics can cause bacteria to become drug-resistant, leading to disease strains that can’t be wiped out with standard antibiotics.

And taking antibiotics can be pretty hard on your body, too. This knowledge, coupled with the finding above, means that you may want to be extra inquisitive if and when you visit a doctor—especially in the winter.

If your doctor prescribes an antibiotic, should you automatically accept it? That’s a personal decision, but if you ask me, I make sure that my doctor has a darn good reason to give me one before I take it.

In fact, you may want to consider the following advice from regular Daily Health News contributor Andrew Rubman, ND, founder and medical director of the Southbury Clinic for Traditional Medicines in Southbury, Connecticut.

He told me that when your doctor prescribes an antibiotic, always ask, “How confident are you that bacteria are causing my illness?”

Physicians can rarely be 100% certain that bacteria are the root cause of health problems, Dr, Rubman said—but you should expect at least a fair degree of confidence from your doctor before swallowing antibiotics. Here are more of Dr. Rubman’s tips, below…

If bacteria are definitely the cause…Ask these two follow-up questions—are antibiotics absolutely necessary? And what do recent studies show about the effectiveness of the antibiotic you’re suggesting?

Some bacterial diseases, such as bacterial pneumonia, which was mentioned earlier, almost always require an antibiotic.

But others, such as the diseases in categories two and three above, can often be resolved with over-the-counter remedies.

“The OTC antihistamine drug diphenhydramine (Benadryl) is a good decongestant for occasional use, and your naturopath may consider prescribing you natural treatments such as nettle, echinacea, horehound, cajaput seed oil and/or henbane to shorten the duration and symptom intensity of your condition,” said Dr. Rubman.

So find out from your doctor whether you can try an OTC product first. Keep in mind that all supplements have potential side effects and contraindications based on certain medical conditions that you may have and drugs that you may take, so take them under a doctor’s care.

If your doctor insists that an antibiotic is necessary and explains that there is scientific evidence that it’s shown to be effective in relieving or curing your particular health problem, then ask whether you need a “broad-spectrum” type or whether a “narrow-spectrum” type will do, because a broad-spectrum type may be overkill for the problem at hand.

If your doctor isn’t sure whether the cause is bacterial or viral…You’re faced with a more difficult decision.

Ask what your options are besides antibiotics and how likely they are to help, and then, after weighing all the benefits and risks with your doctor, make a judgment call.

If a virus is definitely the cause…Skip the antibiotics and ask your doctor what sort of treatment might help.

If you’re interested in using a natural treatment, specifically, it’s best to consult a naturopathic doctor.

Supplements containing the herbs lobelia (Indian tobacco), Ligusticum porteri (called osha by Native Americans) or larch tree bark (Larix occidentalis) can help clear mucus from the respiratory tract, for instance, if you have a respiratory infection.

Now, your doctor may say, “the cause of the illness is viral, but I want to give you an antibiotic to prevent any secondary bacterial infections.”

Dr. Rubman said that in this type of situation, it’s best to consult a naturopathic doctor for a second opinion.

And if you do eventually get a secondary infection, first ask your doctor to try to confirm that it’s bacterial through symptom examination and/or lab tests before considering an antibiotic.

  3. Michael Says:

I have to side with you on this one Scott. Another bullshit movie is “Zero Dark Thirty.” The torture scenes are in there for the shock value.

They are another big lie. The implication is that you can torture the truth out of people. Sure you can get some information but the fact is our people didn’t get the information about Obama from torture.

The fact is we as americans usually pontificate about what is good, bad, or evil. At least some of the actors are saying it is not a documentary, it is a film.

Looking forward to your clarification on some issues Howie. I for one am all ears about the murder of FDR.

    Michael

  4. Zen Lill Says:

Wow, Misch, that is taking things to a whole new level, being public about your Christian beliefs while engaging your own daughter in that behavior, wtf is all I can come up with at the moment. I thought nothing shocked me anymore, but this did, not only bc she publicly denounces one group and does this bizarre behavior to her own child? That’s tough to want to even think about…

Re #2, before you take an antibiotic from your doctor or even go to one, try wild oregano oil first, google it for doing properly for each ailment, it IS nature’s antibiotic. & it is that season, are you brewing up your ginger tea? I posted the recipe last year but I now brew ‘super brew’ and it goes like this: grate 2 tablespoons of fresh ginger into a pan, add 2 cups of water, bring to a boil, then simmer for 5 minutes and strain, meanwhile I brew 2 cups of green tea, once you finish the ginger part, blend the 2 for 4 cups of super brew, add 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar for each cup (4, though you can start with 3 if the taste is just too much, I do the full dose and sweeten with honey/agave) and drink a cup of that a day. I have not been sick in years…

Healthy thought: while others are verbalizing about ‘there’s a nasty cold going around hope I don’t get it’ instead think, ‘I’m drinking super brew and I’m healthy as can be’ – see the difference?

    Luv, Zen Lill

  5. Zen Lill Says:

    Sorry, I meant ‘dosing’ properly…

  6. Mary Says:

    Zen Lill,

It sounds like your concept of cyborg and mine are not related.

I hope for your sake yours is accurate because otherwise, without divine intervention, luck may be needed getting those bodies out of deep freeze and into a usable state.

    Mary

  7. Zen Lill Says:

Hi Mary, what’s your concept of cyborg? & cyborg in suspended state is not a body that would require a jumpstart like our human bodies, maybe you’re thinking of cryogenic type and maybe these are more like transhumanism in action, not sure what else to say until I hear your response, thanks.

  8. Rory Says:

Michelle, can you imagine her outrage if the video she made did not include her own daughter …. and was just two men!

  9. Bell Says:

It never fails. The most homophobic people are always closet-cases or evil perverts.

  10. Cassandra Says:

Maybe she should have told someone that her belief that homosexuality leads to pedophilia was based on personal experience.

  11. Lola Says:

Those who are virulently anti-gay have some major issue themselves. Religion is often used as a foil by these people, as our society tends to put the religious on a pedestal.

Whether it’s Christianists like this lady or orthodox Jews like Jack Abramoff, the veneer of faith too often makes people trust religious individuals who otherwise would be more suspicious.

  12. Lorna Says:

If the people could try accepting themselves for who they are, perhaps they wouldn’t feel the need to hate others so much.

  13. Joan Says:

The facts are horrific. That her mother is the monster is almost inconceivable. And then as you learn more about this woman you’re left with a very sick feeling in your stomach.

Reading that in her “regular” job she’s a bigot made the fact that she blames her daughter (on a phone call from jail to her father) not such a surprise.

  14. Donald Says:

The perverts always yell the loudest against others…Such good repub examples!

Bless the child and get her help! Let the perv rot in prison!

  15. Timothy Says:

They say it’s not fair to make generalizations about groups of people. But as relates to the religious, there seems to be an ever growing body of evidence that they are almost entirely a collection of degenerates. Not that I see any reason to assume otherwise, even if it’s not 100% true.

  16. Ethan Says:

Religion should be classified as a child abuse organization, because teaching children about the bible (buy bull, and I do not) is child abuse.

  17. Alan Says:

The Catholic church is a child molestation cult, period.
