Good morning!

This was sent to me by a loyal reader who thought many of you would enjoy the read:

5 Web Sites That Should NEVER Pop Up in Your Man’s Browser

Trust is an important part of any relationship. If you don’t have faith in your boyfriend or husband, the connection you share can’t help but feel hollow. Yet, like everything else that matters in life, the bond you have with your significant other isn’t black and white.

The gray areas will always be there, especially if you have reason to believe your partner is not being up front with you. While it isn’t ideal, peeking at his Internet history may give you some insight into the true character of the man of your dreams.

But beware. You just might see some sites that should never pop up in his browser. So take a deep breath and consider this list of five web sites that you don’t want anywhere near your man’s computer.

Pornography Sites

If you find out that the love of your life has a few favorite sites that qualify as porn, you may have an issue. Although it doesn’t always mean anything is wrong with your relationship, some women think it’s a deal breaker. That’s because the need to watch porn could point to deficiencies in the real-life romance.

Also, there are cases where porn becomes an unhealthy addiction. And that can’t help but do damage to the sexual chemistry you’ve developed with your man.

The other side of the story is that porn may be an exciting way to freshen up your sex life. So you may look at such sites as a plus, not so much as an insurmountable crisis.

However, every woman has her own view of porn. You’d be wise to draw your own conclusions on this subject. But if you feel pornography shouldn’t be part of your man’s browser, use this topic as an excuse to have an open discussion about what you want from this relationship. It might take your bond in a new and important direction.

Dating Sites

You’ve been through lots of ups and downs with your man, which, logically, leads you to believe you’re both committed to each other and no one else. But then you find out he’s got a collection of dating sites in his browser. What does it mean? Unfortunately, such a discovery may not a good sign for the happily ever after you’ve imagined with this guy.

Some men like to explain that they’re just on these types of sites to meet people. It’s as innocent as that. But if this is really the case, why choose sites that are designed to create romantic attachments? That’s the question you have to ask yourself in a situation like this.

Gay Sites

When you plan to live the rest of your life with a man, the last thing you’d ever want to find in his browser are pages and pages of gay sites. It can only spell doom for your future, if you’ve always wished for a heterosexual, monogamous guy to be with for years to come.

But there is always the possibility that your main squeeze is simply curious about homosexual love. It may not be anything more than that. Of course, this can be a very embarrassing topic and one that the man in your life is hesitant to admit. Yet this secret interest may be the true reason behind his habit of storing gay sites on the home PC.

Still, the fact that you’ve found these web sites should give you reason to take a step back and really look at this relationship. It could be that your man is truly attracted to his own sex. If this is the real reason for his behavior, it will certainly get in the way of the romantic aspect of your attraction.

Couples counseling may be the way to go to figure out the next step in your relationship.

Spy Sites

You’ve been dating your life partner for a while and think you share a mutual trust. But everything changes in an instant when you discover he’s been browsing through sites that enable him to spy on your computer activity. Now that goodwill is out the window.

Every aspect of the faith you thought you had in each other is under scrutiny because he has revealed that he doesn’t believe in you. Whether his paranoia is because of past infidelities or he just has problems trusting women in general, this doesn’t bode well for your future as a couple.

The fact that he’s taken this extreme step to watch you online when you don’t have a clue he’s around brings up other disturbing questions. Where are his ethics? Does he have any? And if he is going out of his way to monitor you so secretively, what kind of information is he holding back from you?

These are all topics that need to be discussed before you can build any kind of trust with this man again. Otherwise, this cagey behavior is only going to get worse, building a foundation of suspicion on what should be a satisfying relationship.

Married Or Cheating Types of Sites

Not only does this discovery speak volumes about your hubby’s trustworthiness, but it says a lot about his respect for you in general. The slogan for one site is, “Join us today! It’s free. Don’t be married and bored or married and lonely. You can have fun meeting up with other marrieds in your area for married affairs and much more.”

You’ve taken marital vows and they mean the world to you. But what happens when you find out your very own husband is fixated on sites that help him cheat on you? Believe it or not, these web sites are pretty common. And they can spell the end of the marriage you’ve held so dear.

Sadly, however, the act of having an affair has been glamorized on the internet. Some of these sites actively promote the excitement of this kind of passionate liaison, creating marketing slogans that make immoral behavior fun. Your significant other may just be one of the many men who fall victim to a catchy advertising campaign, even at the expense of your marriage.

Readers: It is my early morning. I have no time to give you my two but I am certainly looking forward to reading yours. Blog me.

Anna of Guam: What an interesting little story on such a big adventure. I wonder if SF is in her plans. Thanks for sharing.

Al: How sweet. I don’t know too many young girls who didn’t have a love for horses sometime in their lives. They are such beautiful animals. It does bring back good memories for me too. I wish I could’ve shared a half a horse :) as your sister was so fortunate to have done. But I did get to ride with my girlfriend that did have a horse – (Sunshine was her name – the horse, not the friend), without having to share the upkeep.

Lastly, greed over a great story is surfacing from my “loyal”(?) readers. With all this back and forth about who owns what, that appears on my blog, let me reiterate that all material posted on my blog becomes the sole property of my blog. 1. Health Info Says:

Why a Creased Earlobe May Kill You

When it comes to your cardiovascular health, you might think that if you don’t have any typical risk factors for heart attack or coronary artery disease, such as obesity, high blood pressure or high cholesterol, then your heart is in good shape.

But a new study may make you think twice.

It may sound crazy, but how you look—as in, whether you look young or old for your age—can actually affect your risk for certain cardiovascular problems.

In fact, researchers have pinpointed four specific physical traits.
So check out what the four traits are and then take a look in the mirror…

    THE HEART OF THE MATTER
After studying 35 years of data from nearly 11,000 male and female volunteers, Danish researchers found that two of the traits are fairly common and easy to recognize—a receding hairline and a bald spot on the head.

(If a participant was mostly or completely bald, that person was put into the “bald spot” group.) The association of baldness and cardiovascular risk was seen among both men and women, though baldness was much less common in women.

The third trait is a little more obscure—a crease in one or both earlobes.

And the fourth is having small, lumpy, yellow deposits on, above, below or next to the eyelids, a condition called xanthelasma that’s caused by excess cholesterol under the skin. (For photos of the last two traits, see below.)

The study showed that the more of these traits a person had, the higher his or her chance of having a heart attack or developing coronary artery disease. For example, the researchers discovered that for people with three or four of these traits, the chances of suffering a heart attack are 57% greater and the chances of developing coronary artery disease are 39% greater, on average, than for people who have none of these traits.

What’s remarkable is that these elevated risks held true even when researchers controlled for other common risk factors for cardiovascular problems, such as age, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, excess weight, poor nutrition, smoking, not exercising, gender and a family history of heart disease.

Why are these traits associated with these serious cardiovascular problems—and what might your doctor be able to do to help treat each trait? I asked the lead author of the study, Anne Tybjaerg-Hansen, MD, DMSc, and here’s what she told me…

    Xanthelasma.
This condition remains a mystery to medical science. One potential cause of these fatty eyelid deposits is a diet that includes too much saturated fat—because saturated fat can raise your cholesterol levels.

A doctor may advise you to eat a healthier diet and get more exercise, which may help lower your cholesterol numbers, and, in turn, prevent more fatty deposits from appearing. But it’s possible to have a normal cholesterol level and still have xanthelasma.

Other potential causes of xanthelasma are diabetes, certain cancers and cirrhosis of the liver. You can have the deposits surgically removed, but unless the underlying cause is treated, the deposits may return and your cardiovascular risk would not be reduced.

    Hair loss.
There are a wide variety of potential causes for hair loss.

It could be due to genetics (male pattern baldness)…a hormone imbalance…a drug (for instance, some medications that treat cancer, arthritis, depression and high blood pressure are associated with hair loss)…

a thyroid problem…the disease alopecia, in which the immune system destroys hair follicles…a scalp infection…a skin disorder (such as lichen planus or lupus)…

emotional or physical shock (due to, say, a death in the family or sudden weight loss)…anxiety (certain mental disorders make people want to pull hair from their heads)…

a certain hairstyle (pulling hair too tightly can cause it to break and fall out)…overusing hair products (when hair gets too brittle, it can break and fall out)…or improper nutrition (a lack of iron and protein can cause hair to thin).

If you have a treatable condition that’s causing your hair loss, treating the condition may or may not have a positive effect on your cardiovascular risk factors—we don’t know.

    Earlobe crease.
This is a tricky trait. You might have an earlobe crease if the trait is passed down genetically through your family. As far as what else may cause this, that’s up for debate.

One theory suggests that it could be due to impaired circulation leading to a collapsed blood vessel near the earlobe. Another theory, which comes from a dermatologist, is that it may develop from a combination of aging and sleeping on one particular side of your body. But the cause is hard to pin down and there aren’t any current treatments for it.

So all in all, it’s not entirely clear why these traits are associated with certain increased cardiovascular risks and it’s not yet known how to counteract these increased risks. But if you have at least one of these traits, Dr. Tybjaerg-Hansen said it probably wouldn’t hurt to talk to your doctor about making more aggressive lifestyle changes, even if you’re already eating some healthy foods and exercising a little.

Your test results may lead you to believe that you’re in the clear, but these findings show that you’re not! It’s possible that you’ll need to make more of an effort than most people to protect your heart health.

Source: Anne Tybjaerg-Hansen, MD, DMSc, professor of clinical biochemistry, University of Copenhagen, and chief physician in the department of clinical biochemistry at Copenhagen University Hospital, Denmark.

  2. HOWIE Says:

Aliens inhabiting the skies over Guam can only see their home star, Achernar from Guam — accounting for some of the many UFO sightings over Guam.

The Hors use a ship that mimics the size and shape of earth’s moon to enter and leave earth immediate vicinity. They match the Mach 2 speed of the Moon as it circles the earth to appear as the Moon does. Depending on what position they are reflecting the Moon, some on earth are watching the real Moon and others at the same time are watching the Hors’ ship and thinking it is the Moon.

They got the idea from the Vhrans who some 3 million years ago returned to their part of the Milky Way Galaxy with copies of our solar system to display in their museums as an example of a support milieu for life planted on Mars. The Vhrans used life size models of our solar system as they are 51 thousand times our size.

However to create the actual speed of each planet in its orbit they used a device that the Hors stole to use for military purposes in their part of the MilkyWay that would not see it as just a device to enable the earth model to circle its Sun at about 66,000 mph. That speed to the Hors was a miracle development in technology.

They inhabit the Guam skies because there they can observe with the naked eye the sun of their solar system Achernar which can not be seen from the US mainland. On Guam when the sun disappears as it begins to grow dark, a red star, Mars, appears close to earth’s horizon. If you measure six fist-widths to the left of Mars and two fist-widths above the horizon and you’ll see a bright star that’s quite a bit brighter than Mars. That’s Achernar, the sky’s ninth-brightest jewel. You’ve never heard of it because you can’t see it from the U.S. mainland.

The Hors who have been at war with marauders from Kypon, a satellite galaxy of the Milky Way use this vantage point to spy on that large Magellanic Cloud without being observed.

  3. Zen Lill Says:

Mischa, peeps who want to indulge in this activity, will, and they’ll clear their history and have a password for a private space for ‘bookmarking’ such things.

There’s no exact knowing of another, just yourself (except that part that no one sees about themselves, and therefore, leaves a part of your ‘self’ a titch ‘unknowable’) and bc of this ‘not fully knowing’ anyone, the terms of the word ‘trust’ become based on you saying you’ll do/be (or actually) doing/being what I want and/or what I expect, though that seems to be a strange arrangement to an independent soul like myself, I’m an honorable type for the most part but no matter how you dice the ‘what’s right and what’s wrong’ things to do, way to behave, you can never know or run another’s life (and that’s just too much work frankly) and people, both sexes, make mistakes and take missteps all the time.

I just use one rule: I have the right to want what I want and so do you, so if both of those meet on some mutuality level then let’s continue, if not, let’s let it go and find another who fits what we’re looking for (no point shopping for a Mercedes in a Volkswagen dealership, you’ll find bugs there but not a high end ride ; )

…and you can always find something to be suspect of…so really, I just live and let live, and I don’t like/want demands on how to be so I find it hard to believe that I should be looking at someone else’s computer history to see if they have looked at a ‘spy site’ – after all, I’m spying on them, aren’t I? lol…

    Luv, Zen Lill

If the tsunami you caused along the Solomon Islands reaches Guam, you will meet the Emperor’s might. Though you are situated outside the realm of the Emperor’s law, your probe will be held accountable for the damage it causes and any endangerment it caries towards the Princess.

  5. Scott Says:

Thanks Howie for the Hors story. My friends have been calling about the unique benefits of the viewing skies of Guam.

  6. Ashley Says:

Michelle, your article has my sister worried. She checked her husband’s browser and he has been frequenting gay porn sites.

  7. Jackie Says:

Zen Lill, I think in this case if one doesn’t “spy” it is like saying I don’t need alarms on my house because I am not trusting my neighbors.

  8. Peter Says:

Hafa adai Howie. Wow man you give a guy a lot to think about. I love the clear skies of Guam and You are so right about the view. I can see Achernar, the ninth brightest star in constellation from Guam. Thanks Howie.

  9. Radhak Says:

Thanks Howie for the alien post. I get so excited when I see you have made a post. I am a bit disappointed when it is not about aliens. I do not live in America so your politics don’t interest me. I read Michelle’s blog for the alien input. This one was very good.

  10. Alycedale Says:

Excellent article women are usually the last to know about the secret activities of their significant other because they are too trusting or naive.

One doesn’t call it “spying” when as a parent you check up on your children’s activities by occasionally searching their rooms or checking up on where they are really at or who their friends are. It is called good parenting. Discovering your mate is spying on you is a good thing.

  11. Ruth,SM Says:

Hello, Michelle, It seems the republican party is so into telling us what God wants us to do. It reminds me of what another great woman once said.

“I distrust those people who know so well what God wants them to do because I notice it always coincides with their own desires”. – Susan B. Anthony
    =====================================

The republicans have taken that a step further so let me paraphrase the great Susan B. Anthony and say I distrust those people who know so well what God wants the rest of us to do because I notice it always coincides with their own desires.

  12. Traci Says:

I can’t understand why your blog won’t take my post.

  13. Traci Says:

I wanted to say I would add to the sites suggested Animal Sex Sites.

  14. Haruna Says:

Michelle, I am Japanese and here men visit porno sites all the time. It is their most frequent pastime. I don’t trust my boyfriend because he refuses to stop. It just shows his respect for women is no better than the average mindset of Japanese men.

  15. Abydos Says:

Howie, The Vhrans must live in an incredibly huge solar system. I am anxious to know more about them.

  16. Kent Says:

Great stuff Howie, I sure you have heard that a time or two, though. But I have to say you can tie an event in a package that makes it worthwhile to entertain.

I have put together a group who are heading to Guam to try to discover some of your alien friends. We mean no harm. It is just an exploratory journey.

What is this about the tsunami? 4.1h7G//7n Says:

Is it something we should be concerned about before we head to Guam. Or is it a scare tactic to keep a flood of people from heading to Guam?

  17. Martha Says:

Zen Lill, Duh…………… Why don’t you just tell our men how to hide their activities.

  18. Uma Says:

Howie, here in Israel they call me ‎ אֻמָה. Your alien post keep me up at night researching and researching. I love all of them.

  19. Naffre Says:

Howie, I am an amateur astrologer. Interesting concept about our ninth brightest star. I am now a fan.

  20. Carlos Says:

My boyfriend is such a bitch. His browser is full of spyware information. I checked some of the stuff he has been interested in and discovered he has used one of those devices to spy on me. I am going to fuck his mind up.

  21. Lei Says:

Howie, something is definitely going on Guam. RAAF in Guam for exercises with US, Japan

  22. Owen Says:

talk about criminal activity. How’s this for the Bush administration’s activities.
    =====================
The U.S. counterterrorism practice known as extraordinary rendition, in which suspects were quietly moved to secret prisons abroad and often tortured, involved the participation of more than 50 nations, according to a new report released Tuesday by the Open Society Foundations.

The OSF report, which offers the first wholesale public accounting of the top-secret program, puts the number of governments that either hosted CIA “black sites,” interrogated or tortured prisoners sent by the U.S., or otherwise collaborated in the program at 54. The report also identifies by name 136 prisoners who were at some point subjected to extraordinary rendition.
    ======================
If this happened in any other nation we could be talking about war crimes.

  23. Harry Says:

Ruth, SM, I agree with you. My party needs to wake up and stop trying to tell other people how to be moral. I personally like the great gentleman Albert Einstein’s quote.

“When you understand why you don’t believe in other people’s gods, you will understand why I don’t believe in yours.”- Albert Einstein

  24. Zen Lill Says:

Martha, men know this, techie morons know this, sorry if you are last to know this.
& et al, if I didn’t clear my browser history it could look suspect at times, my rabbit hole manner of research takes me places I maybe should not go, I wouldn’t want to be judged or mistrusted for it.
I’ll also say this: checking up on your child is good parenting.
I’m not any man’s parent and if my gut tells me something is going on or is suspect, then it usually is, no need for sneaky snooping, if you all read here that article about how to tell if someone’s lying, why not just ask some subtle questions, you’ll get your answers right there.
I really don’t want anybody in my computer, and if I found my man in there checking my browser I’d be pissed, and it has happened, I forgave bc I know he was looking for evidence of me cheating but I was seriously annoyed at his spying on me, I thought about ditching him for it, too.
& Men look at porn, so what? I have also, again, so what? Now gay sites are a diff story and if you had no idea your man was into gay sex, that’d be enlightening info, though if I even thought it before snooping in his computer, I’d ask some roundabout questions about it.
Animal sex sites, that’s just freaky and it’d take my breath away to catch someone watching that…
My point is, spying is spying, you can all call it checking up on if it pleases you, but when your man starts checking your stuff, let me know how it feels. It’s an invasion of privacy, like checking the phone, if you’re looking your already in ‘suspect’ mode. I’m not saying be blindly naive or trusting, just know when your stepping over the privacy line.

I’m with all the alien enthusiasts, Howie that’s a great story, wish I could see what that view from Guam. Keep it coming…!

Those on the right, like my husband and his ilk need to do some serious reflection on their callous, heartless views on the right to own firearms.

Other nations around the world have implemented gun controls that are much stricter than those in the US. Gun owners need to grow up, and compromise on sensible gun control laws.

As for that tiny dick tag, for my husband it couldn’t be more true. If not for one of those porn sites Michelle, I wouldn’t have known how truly tiny his little thing is.

Hafa adai. Those of you thinking of visiting Guam should know that Peddling is on the rise on our island and I hope you do not encourage this habit.
    =======================

HAGÅTÑA — Soliciting donations at highway intersections appears to be the quickest money-making strategy Guam’s in current economic climate. While it may be legal, police and residents have been observing the rise in this activity over the years.

On any given weekday during work hours, one or more individuals are likely to be seen standing on a median or sidewalk at a busy intersection holding a sign that asks for monetary help to raise funds for a number of reasons, such as off-island treatment, a transplant, cancer care, or just to get by.

    Legitimate or scam?

As a daily motorist, Roberto Fracassini, musician and president of Roberto Fracassini Productions, has observed that the number of individuals “begging” for money at traffic intersections has increased tremendously over the years, making him wonder whether they actually have legitimate needs or are just scamming Good Samaritans.

Fracassini said he has made donations in the past but suggests the individuals other alternative ways to raise funds.

“There’s always the possibility in my mind that the guy needs money, so I give a couple of dollars,” he said. “If they seriously need the money, they should contact the churches, Guam institutions or the Salvation Army — basically try to find a way to raise money without begging on the streets.”

Fracassini suggested that police look into strictly enforcing the law, especially in Tamuning and Tumon as those are tourist areas.

    The law

Capt. Paul Suba of the Guam Police Department couldn’t agree more.

Despite the shortage of manpower, GPD does what it can to issue citations to those who aren’t following the law, Suba assured.

According to Guam law, individuals are generally prohibited from standing on any public highway or sidewalk “in a manner for the purpose of soliciting contributions for any cause of any commercial purpose whatsoever,” unless they meet a number of restrictions.

The activity is restricted to intersections with traffic control signals or stop signs in place; requires the use of an orange, reflective vest; and limits the activity to the time between 30 minutes prior to sunrise and 30 minutes prior to sunset.

Solicitors are also required to place warnings signs within 100 feet of oncoming traffic, warning drivers of their activity. They are also expected to notify the Chief of Police in writing when and for how long the solicitation will occur, at least 24 hours prior to the solicitation.

“We have cited some but, because of shortages, the officers aren’t taking the time now to stop all the time and let them know that they need to be off there,” Suba explained. “(But) I know Highway Patrol is doing that because that’s their main mission.”

    Other options

Suba, along with other police officers, echo Fracassini’s suggestion for the solicitors to seek other — safer — options to raise money.

“We are considerate of those folks who sell [newspapers] or raise money, but I’ve explained to them that the number one priority is their safety,” Suba said. “We’ve spoken to them and asked them to please look to other sources where they can get money — the churches or other organizations that can help them raise money.”

Solicitors come from different walks of life and have different reasons to raise money.

Suba recalled meeting an elderly gentleman that was raising money to survive.

On most days lately, one can spot a family posted at the McDonald’s Harmon intersection and at the ITC Tamuning intersection trying to raise funds for a little boy undergoing off-island cancer treatment. He met another man raising money to fund his daughter’s college education.

Suba confirmed that GPD often tries to determine whether the individual’s claims are justified through a doctor’s diagnosis or other supporting documentation.

“We have determined some are legitimate, and then there are some that are not,” he said. “They’re taking advantage of the fact that they know there are a lot of people on Guam who are generous.”

    Citations

Whatever the reason an individual is out on the highway, Suba said the activity remains a safety concern.

Those found in violation of the law are given citations, which Suba said have often been issued, but in some instances, the individual manages to get away.

“I’ve had some that stand and argue then dash out into the traffic to get across, to get away from the officer — and that’s worse. So the officer is caught in a dilemma,” he said. “It’s a safety concern, and again the officers will do their part to have them removed for the sake of their safety.”

I know that was a long post. But I intended it for the islanders also.

    Come on Guam, solve this

My iphone app, skyview, pointed out Achernar to me very recently. A pleasant coincidence. I live in N. America.

  29. Ira Says:

Quiet Observer. I’d like a little of what you are observing because after reading Howie I checked the dictionary for Achernar and this is what I got.
    =======================

    Achernar |ˈakərˌnär; ˈäk-| Astronomy
the ninth brightest star in the sky, and the brightest in the constellation Eridanus. It marks the southern limit of Eridanus, and is only visible to observers in the southern hemisphere.
ORIGIN from Arabic, ‘end of the river (i.e., Eridanus).’
    =====================================

The last time I checked N. America was not in the Southern Hemisphere. But, hey, I’m open to seeing what you are. So enlighten me how to do that.
