Obama Cares About Women
Posted by Michelle Moquin on September 21st, 2013
Good morning!
First things first. (Not necessarily in order of importance)
Love.
Anonymous: Well, posting here, you just told many parts of the world already. :) Love may or may not last but while you’re deep in it, it is truly wonderful. Savor it. Appreciate it. Give it. Revel in its juicy deliciousness. I HOPE the Love you give is returned back to you. :)))
LeTa0: I love your comeback, but then most of what you post is right on in my book. The world does know and yet there are so many who are blinded by their racism to do anything about it. They would rather believe the rewritten history of the tiny minded repubs than take responsibility, put their racist thoughts to rest, and do something for the betterment of the entire country.
And since you continued the conversation on Obamacare, I thought I would keep it going.
Second things second.
Health.
Women are always the last to get good health care simply because men in power just don’t care enough about us to do what is best for us. They care more about controlling us. That changed with Obama and Obamacare. Obama cares about women and Obamacare ensures that women get the care they need.
Here’s the write from Think Progress:
Last Year, Nearly 13 Million Women Of Reproductive Age Didn’t Have Health Insurance
BY TARA CULP-RESSLER ON SEPTEMBER 20, 2013 AT 11:33 AM
CREDIT: ShutterstockAlmost 13 million American women between the ages of 15 and 44 didn’t have health insurance in 2012,according to a new analysisfrom the Guttmacher Institute. When that demographic is broken down by economic status, nearly one in four women living below the poverty line didn’t have health care that year.
That’s especially problematic because uninsured women in that age group may not have any way to access affordable family planning services — especially if they’re living in poverty. Over the past decade, unintended pregnancies have become increasingly concentrated among low-income women who can’t afford birth control. The United States also has some of the highest rates of teen pregnancies and first-day infant deaths in the developed world, and women’s health experts say that’s largely due to the gaps in access to family planning services.
“These bleak statistics not only underscore the urgent and ongoing need for safety-net programs such as the Title X national family planning program, they also demonstrate the significant potential gains to be made as the Affordable Care Act’s expansion of public and private insurance coverage gets underway,” the Guttmacher researchers note.
Fortunately, several key components of the Affordable Care Act will ensure that women have better access to health insurance in the coming year. Obamacare will extend coverage to additional low-income Americans through its state-level expansion of the Medicaid program, as well as give federal subsidies to uninsured Americans to help them purchase plans on new insurance marketplaces.
And once more women gain insurance, they’ll also have better benefits to suit their reproductive needs. Obamacare requires insurers to cover a range of gender-specific preventative services — like contraception, cancer screenings, HPV vaccinations, maternity care, and well-woman check ups — at no additional charge. The health law’s birth control provision has been in place for a little over a year by now, and an estimated 27 million women are already benefiting from it.
Without Obamacare, the cost barriers to contraception can be prohibitive for many women. One study conducted in 2012 found thatnearly half of young women admitted they hadn’t used their birth control method as directed in order to cut down on expenses. And the most effective forms of long-lasting contraception were out of reach for many women because they can cost hundreds of dollars out of pocket. Problematically, birth control can actually be more expensive in low-income areas.
But even as the federal health reform law is making big gains in this area, that’s not necessarily the case when it comes to state policies. State-level family planning programs have been subject to huge cuts in recent years, as Republican lawmakers have slashed women’s health funding in at least ten different states.

Hafa adai Anna of Guam. As far as I know, aliens are not responsible for all the natural disasters that affect Guam. Guam is right under a monsoon tail created by a tropical disturbance near Saipan. The disturbance is moving slowly and is sending a lot of rainfall to your island.
Are you asking us to interfere with nature’s plan for Guam?
September 21st, 2013 at 11:39 am
I agree with you Michelle, If aliens aren’t responsible what about the fact that an earthquake north of Agrihan, or 389 miles north of Guam, rocked the island early yesterday morning. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the earthquake was a 5.5 on the richter scale and occurred around 2:50 a.m. A second quake was reported at 8:15 p.m. yesterday. The second quake was a 4.7 on the richter scale and was located 6.6 miles west northwest of Hagåtña.
io1 you need to check your facts.

Hafa adai. This is just a nightmare. Residents are asked to take caution on island’s roads.
4:03 p.m. Several trees have fallen and caused traffic delays throughout the island. One tree fell along East Agana southbound that closed two lanes. Department of Public Works and Guam Homeland Security/Office of Civil Defense crews have been clearing the trees.
One tree is still down near the hill going to McDonald’s in Sinajana.
3:15 p.m. Route 1 Salisbury St. north and southbound are impassable. Residents are being asked to take alternative routes.
High water on Route 10 near Wendy’s in Barrigada and other small roads in the village have been reported.
2:54 p.m. The following roads are impassable due to the heavy rainfall and ponding of water according to the Guam Homeland Security Office:
Aguon Road in Menegon;
Toto-Canada
Tun Juan White Street in Barrigada
Maimai, Chalan Pago
Tagueguo Street in Agana Heights
1:15 p.m.: Guam is under a flash flood warning from 1:10 p.m. until 7 p.m.
Cars are reported to have stalled in areas of high water. Mototists are advised to exercise extreme caution.
According to a release from the National Weather Service, additional rainfall of 2 to 4 inches are possible in the area.
Northern and central Guam can expect as much as an inch of rain this morning, with brief flooding of roads and low-lying areas, according to the National Weather Service.
A small craft advisory also is in effect, through tomorrow afternoon, according to the Weather Service.
A disturbance east of Saipan is expected to bring strong winds from the west, with seas of 8 to 10 feet.
Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms are expected.
Readers are calling in to report weather conditions in their areas.
One called in to report 24 inches to 30 inches of water on Hamburger Road in upper Tumon.

Fuck these aliens if they are fucking with Guam. I need my license and I couldn’t take my test because of a black out on the Island. Now I have to wait until Monday. Someone should tell them to leave us the fuck alone.

If you on Guam are concerned about what is taking place talk to your government about the attack they launched against one of our hovercraft. Your Missile Defense Agency (MDA) ordered the strike.
We were fired on by the guided missile destroyer USS Decatur (DDG-73) along with U.S. Air Force airmen from the 613th Air and Operations Center and the Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS). U.S. Army soldiers from the Alpha Battery, 2nd Air Defense Artillery Regiment proceeded to check for debris in the vicinity of the U.S. Army Kwajalein Atoll/Reagan Test Site and surrounding areas in the western Pacific, and to salvage what they could.

Why do women support these corrupt republican men? What are the Consequences of Being Uninsured?
For women, preventive care is necessary for regular health check-ups as well as for screenings and tests regarding reproductive and sexual health. More than one in five women who were of reproductive age were uninsured in 2005.
The uninsured are less likely to get the preventive care they need, even when they have serious health symptoms. For instance, studies showed that women with health insurance were 20% more likely to get pap tests than women without health insurance.
Restorative care is also an issue for uninsured women, as it was found that uninsured women with breast cancer were less likely to receive breast-conserving surgery. These numbers are especially devastating as new research has found that uninsured women are more likely to be diagnosed with later stages of cancer, as opposed to women who have coverage and are diagnosed earlier.
The inability to access care can have drastic effects; the Institute of Medicine estimates that lack of health care coverage results in 18,000 un- necessary deaths in the U.S. each year.

It’s not that ObamaCare is wrong for America, it’s wrong for the insurance industry, Lobbyist and Republicans. (1) Insurance companies will now have to compete for their customers. (2) They will no longer be able to meet and set “Gouging Rates”.
(3) Because they will now have to spend atleast 80% of the premiums collected on actual health care they will be discouraged from over charging because they will have to return the over charges to the customers. (3) It will force them to negotiate more reasonable payments to hospitals and it will force hospitals to set more uniformrates so as to remain competative.
(4) it is wrong for Lobbist and Republicans because it will end much of the big money to them for their work their employers require and Republicans also realize that when people finally break down and start using their Health Care Plans, they will know how good and beneficial they are to them and they will, from that time forth, crucify any politician that tries to take it from them.

The attack by your Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) and Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) weapon systems may have appeared to deter our mission but it was but a mere inconvenience. We have learned that The USS Decatur with its Aegis Weapon System detected and tracked us with its onboard AN/SPY-1 radar. Their Aegis BMD weapon system launched a Standard Missile-3 (SM-3) Block IA missile, and successfully intercepted the target we deceived them into believing was us.
But because of a miscalculation concerning their layered RMDS defense capabilities, One of our Static personal vehicle was hit by a a second AN/TPY-2 radar in Terminal Mode, located with one of your THAAD weapon systems. THAAD was operated by soldiers from the Alpha Battery, 2nd Air Defense Artillery Regiment. They are stationed on Guam. Hence our disagreement with the island of Guam.

Hafa adai,This is getting serious. In the village of Barrigada, Mayor June Blas says the heavy rainfall caused so many areas to flood that she actually had to evacuate several families from their homes.
She says about three families were given assistance from the mayor’s office with a handful of other families seeking shelter from other family members.
“Flooding has always been an issue for Barrigada. The center part of the village has actually flooded out, we do have some residents who were evacuated because of this heavy amount of rain that down poured and we had to get them into proper housing” the mayor quipped.
Several homes were submerged in water including houses behind Besta Market and Ungaguan street. She further thanks the Barrigada fire station and the Guam housing Corporation for their assistance in providing equipment and housing for residents. She says flooding has been a major concern for years as proper drainage is needed throughout the village.

Aliens or no aliens we have to decide on what to do. Why should the federal government expose Guam to retaliation for a useless act. It is not as if we can affect anything with these beings. But they are drowning this island. Residents should expect heavy rain for most of the day today and should take caution on the roads.
A large tropical disturbance is developing over the Marianas, according to the National Weather Service.
As of 6 p.m. yesterday the agency recorded more than 7 inches of rainfall — a record for the year, according to Carl McElroy, a senior meteorologist with the National Weather Service.
“It’s raining so hard that we can’t keep track. I expect it could go as high as 9 inches,” he said.
Guam is just under the monsoon tail and the tropical disturbance is moving slowly north, so residents should expect heavy rain for most of the day and possibly the next few days as the disturbance develops.
The weather yesterday forced at least one family out of their home, took down trees, caused flooding and power outages, closed several roads and canceled public school programs and college classes.
The Weather Service is keeping an eye on the disturbance, as it could develop into a tropical depression, which is defined as a cyclone with sustained winds of at least 38 miles per hour.
Gusty winds of up to 20 to 25 miles per hour can be expected on Guam.
Closed roads
The winds toppled several trees across the island and caused traffic delays.
A tree along Marine Corps Drive in East Hagåtña fell and blocked two southbound lanes yesterday afternoon. Department of Public Works and Guam Homeland Security/Office of Civil Defense crews pulled the tree off the street within about an hour of it being reported fallen.
Some areas flooded so much they because impassable, including near Wendy’s in Barrigada along Route 10, Ylig Bridge, Toto-Canada Road, Maimai Road in Chalan Pago, and the intersection of Route 1 and Salisbury Street in Dededo.
Stay safe
With rainy weather conditions expected to continue, residents are encouraged to stay home and not drive on the roads unless necessary.
Officer A.J. Balajadia, Guam Police Department spokesman, said residents shouldn’t be on the road unless they absolutely must.

HAGATNA, Guam – Heavy rain in Guam are causing airport delays, power outages and street flooding.
National Weather Service officials in the territory issued a flood advisory early Friday local time, downgrading the island from earlier flood warnings.
Weather officials say a monsoon rainband that had moved south of the island is gradually moving back north. The service says Guam International Airport has already received more than 1 inch of rain on Friday after getting more than 10 inches on Thursday.
Officials say up to 6 inches of rain is possible in certain areas, enough to carry away cars.
The service also issued a high surf advisory, with waves up to 11 feet high on western-facing shores.
Pacific Daily News reports (http://bit.ly/18eEDgP) the weather has caused delays of incoming and outgoing flights.
September 21st, 2013 at 3:25 pm
It’s getting worse. Someone do something.
The National Weather Service has issued an urban and small stream flood advisory for Guam and Rota.
The advisory is in affect until 2:15 p.m. today.
Meteorologists expect 1 to 3 inches of rainfall. And with soils already saturated the additional rainfall will result in elevated levels on small streams and creeks, and water ponding on roads and low-lying areas.
Officials said residents shouldn’t drive into areas where water covers the road because the depth may be too great to allow safe crossing.

Anonymous, I agree with Mischa, just enjoy and savor, it lasts as long as it lasts…
I wish I could elaborate more details for you but alas I am not ‘anonymous’ so I will only say it can last 5 years+ and who cares if there’s a side issue here or there, that’s sex only (usually, though many can do lust/love with several) and if a step out actually solidifies the fact that you’re ‘pussy whipped’ or ‘dick whipped’ by the preferred sweet lover, well then it ignites the next fire even hotter (and if the other party finds out there can be a little but of jealousy but I say ‘let.it.go’ and often that ignites some extra fire also, just the way our human emotions are built) bc you cannot possibly be all things to one person ever…and love ends sooner when you try to be (hot love anyway, being everything to someone is not only exhausting but mothering/sistering a man leads to ‘not wanting to fuck my son/bro’ and can lead to loss of respect, I’m sure there’s something similar form the man perspective, too).
It’s a rarity to have the same ‘attachment’ style as your paramour which makes it all the more interesting, and the more interesting you can keep it the longer you get lust & love, if you find a lover that contains all elements: lust, love and long term connection, then all the better. I recommend screaming it from this rooftop anonymously as you’ve done, and don’t trade in your cool car or killer clothes either, keep the attention coming at you, it adds some edge for your woman, too…
Here’s an interesting link about attachment styles. in fact, this site is overall very interesting…check it out: http://www.truthaboutdeception.com/relationship-issues/attachment-styles.html
Off to enjoy the day…luv, Zen Lill
PS I’m so glad 11y7/^2 came on to report it’s handled I was getting concerned for Guam, thank you #16

as Catholics we are Children of God first. First, we strive to love God with all our heart, all our body and all our soul, and to love others as ourselves.
I’m sorry that you say you will return to the Church only when the dogma on a male Priesthood has changed. Blessed Pope John Paul II definitively closed the door on the possibility in his Apostolic Letter “Ordinatio Sacerdotalis” in 1994. Women are not inferior to men. They are different than men. A priest stands in persona Christi, as Christ, the Bridegroom of his Church. The priesthood is a spiritual Fatherhood. God created us men and women for a reason, with equal dignity and value. It’s sad that today’s culture would have you believe otherwise.
I hope one day you decide to learn more about the awesomely beautiful Church of your youth, and perhaps feel compelled to defend her against those that do not understand.

ruthsdaughter – “as Catholics we are Children of God first.”
========================================
Catholics, Christians, Buddhists, Hindu, or Muslim, we are brothers and sisters on the planet first. We show our love of God by how we treat our fellows. The fact that I am a catholic doesn’t make my devotion to God come before my service to my fellows. They are one and the same, or they are nothing.
One cannot “love God” separate from love of your fellows on this planet. Pope John Paul II or any human cannot close the door on equality. You can crouch your bigotry and the preaching’s of the superiority of man in any way that allows you to accept a woman being treated unequally in the eyes of the church. It has been tried before. Remember the white similar line of “separate but equal?”
That didn’t fly and neither will your or the church’s “Women are not inferior to men. They are different than men.” It is discrimination plain and simple to deny a woman the right to be a priest. Show me the passage in the bible where Christ said that a woman could not be a priest. If the church knew of such an utterance, since they chose the Scrolls which the bible was written from, those misogynistic men would have included it brazenly.
There were none so they came of with the lame, “Bridegroom” crap. There are no two meanings of the word equal. You either are or aren’t.

C # 3 you are correct that everything changes, in love as in life, it’s a dynamic environment never static so lust/love can change and stay/get hotter or go south (& not literally ; ) your other commentary tells me that your not clear on anonymous position or feeling bc it’s clear that while he speaks of sex it’s clear it’s love and all secrets aside sometimes the heart wants what the heart wants…and for those who require sex not just want it, you’ll probably understand the essence of this statement. It’s not about living honestly or dishonestly…at least not the way that I am understanding anonymous situation. I could be wrong though, that would be for anonymous to say.

VIDEO GWA – Ugum Back on Line But Full Restoration to Central and Southern Villages Not Expected Until Monday 6pm
Last Updated on Sunday, 22 September 2013 15:23
Written by Kevin Kerrigan & Betsy Brown

Guam News – Guam News
Guam – Despite the heavy rainfall over the past 4 days, residents in parts of central and southern Guam have been experiencing low water pressure, or have been without water since Friday.
And in a release issued Sunday afternoon [see below], GWA Spokeswoman Heidi Ballendorf says those same areas will remain with little to no water through Monday September 23 at 6pm.
“Full restoration is expected by 6 p.m. on Monday, unless heavy rains occur tonight,” said Ballendorf.
Those areas with little to no water until 6pm MONDAY are:
1. parts of Yona
2. parts of Santa Rita, Cross Island Road, Apra heights
3. parts of Inarajan by the middle school area
4. parts of Merizo
5. parts of Umatac
The problem has been the Ugum Water Treatment Plant. Ballendorf advised PNC News in an email Sunday that Ugum “is finally back on line.”
But she also warned that “if it pours down rain tonight [Sunday] it will stop producing water. We hope to have full restoration before 6 p.m. tomorrow [Monday] night, but we can’t be sure due to the weather.”
Ballendorf cautioned that “the upper elevations of all these areas may still experience water pressure problems even after 6:00 p.m. on Monday as GWA fills reservoirs and customers in the lower areas use water too quickly. We are asking people to use water wisely as we restore a fragile system,” Ballendorf said.
Friday, Bellendorf told PNC News Ugum shut down on Thursday because of “exceptionally high turbidity levels” from the heavy rains.
GWA managed to transfer some water from the north to the south overnight Thursday and Friday morning but they could not continue to transfer water from the northern wells without jeopardizing water supplies in the northern part of the island.
As a result, in the midst of record rainfall, water service to the central and southern villages began to dry up. As of 5pm Friday, water tankers were positioned in the villages of Malojloj, Merizo and Umatac.
READ the SUNDAY Sept. 22 relase from GWA below:
GWA announces the following villages remain out of water until Monday, September 23rd 6 p.m.
Parts of Maniglao, Yona, Cross Island Road and Apra Heights, Inarajan, Merizo and Umatac. “Full restoration is expected by 6 p.m. on Monday unless heavy rains occur tonight,” said Heidi Ballendorf spokesperson for GWA. “However, the upper elevations of all these areas may still experience water pressure problems even after 6:00 p.m. on Monday as GWA fills reservoirs and customers in the lower areas use water too quickly. We are asking people to use water wisely as we restore a fragile system”, Ballendorf noted.
St Francis School will be closed on Monday, September 23rd due to no water, however for DOE closings and openings please contact DOE at 475-0459.
Due to the high volume of calls to the 24/7 water line number the public can email customers@guamwaterworks.org or heidi@guamwaterworks.org
We appreciate the public’s patience as we work to restore water to all villages.

C#3 and Zen Lill thanks for coming back to answer me. I decided to use the moniker “Ike” to lessen the confusion.
C#3(18) if it must by nature change, then I will be severely disappointed. Truth is relevant only when it is necessary to accomplish that which without it there would be no chance of success. Here we have moments that explode into timeless periods of ecstasy. I carry those moments with me until I see her again.
We communicate but I am often adrift in the music of her voice. I don’t reveal the power she has over me less she grow tired of my infatuation. I cannot image a free heart more delighted to be with an open declared love than I am with her. She makes everything okay when she comes to me.
Whatever the situation my heart would be happily caged for her enjoyment so it does not matter to me that we have to keep her secret. I used to think “we are but moments.” But that was when all that mattered was the thrill I received from being between her legs.
Now that I have gotten to know her better, those things that were but moments are memories of joys past and joys to come. Those “moments” remain with me to sustain me through my daily events. My life seems to be but pauses until I see her again.
She calls to make the small talk. I could not exist without those intervals between our personal meets. They enable me to get to know her better to discover I how even luckier I am that I knew before. She has an extraordinary sense of humor, she can find the funny side of many tough events.
If I live again, I would wish to come back with her view of the world. If she decided that it was over, I would be without meaning, but I would delight in knowing that she was around and knows that I exist. I would quietly leave her presence because I know she would not leave me unless it was the right thing to do.
If she found some one she felt was the better person for her, I would defer to her judgment without protestation because I respect her sense of fairness. My heart has it wings because it is chained to her love for me. If she set me free, then it was meant to be.
But for now, she loves me and I love her. She is certainly great enough to share her love with others and still have all I will ever need. I do not wish to share her, I refuse to do so as long as we are sexual lovers, but if she demanded that we give that up, I would still be there for her if she allowed me to.
I love the character she exudes. It is strong but weak. She cries easily, it makes me think before I speak. I do not want to be the cause of her distress. She has fierce loyalties. I respect that and her dedication to her principles.
She is a female in every sense of the word. She loves to shop, to be pretty, to be feminine as only she can be. She loves being pretty without being vain. I watch her walk even when we are side by side. She is a girl when she cries and I feel like God if I can understand what it is she needs to feel better and make it happen.
She is a lady when in the presence of those that would be pretentious or when she instructs me about things I am not familiar. She is a woman when she feels protective or jealous and she responds strongly with purpose.
She will not be disrespected by anyone but she will be patient with her revenge. She knows when to act like the vixen and when to be just what I need to get me off. She can leave me to return to her husband with a walk that thrills and depresses at the same time.
The sweet and sour taste in my heart is just right to keep me wanting more, and that slight suggestive glance she gives me as she looks over her shoulder before she drives off sustains me until I see her again.
Zen Lill you are correct when you said in my situation it is not about living honestly or dishonestly. To me “living” means having her as a part of my life. Whether that is “honestly” or “dishonestly” in the eyes of another does not affect me. As long as she is comfortable with her situation, I will support her.

Murder of black children will continue until blacks take lessons from whites who feel they need more than white justice. Notice how accepted murdering doctors who perform services for women whites don’t like is.
They not only condone the murders they aid and abet them in prayer, legal defense or escaping potential legal apprenhension. What could be more noble than a similar action against police brutality? If it became the norm, I bet shoot first racists like Weekley would be more careful. As it is the system encourages the racist to get a badge because he gets to deal violence in the direction of his hate with impunity.
Most of these racists are cowards so if they knew that their was another justice coming their way outside the white jUStice system, they would be more circumspect. Just thinking.

Damn she’s a lucky bitch Ike. If only I had met you first! You’re my kind of romantic. Maybe you could look my way when she’s occupied with her husband? I wouldn’t substitute you for any other.

I don’t think I could ever complete someone, but making someone insane sounds doable.

Maybe you need to move past your racist outlook, as Dr. King recommended.

Since when is it racists to point out the obvious, oh, yeah when it offends the racists doing it or condoning it.
As for you quoting MLK, that borders on blasphemy. You did everything imaginable to prevent his dream of desegregation from occurring, just like the election of Obama, but now that it has happened despite your efforts to prevent it, you hypocritically come on here with this malarky.
Sing it to your choir. Or talk to the Hand.
