Ebola: The Messy Truth
Posted by Michelle Moquin on October 13th, 2014
Good morning!
I thought it was about time that I blogged on Ebola. The facts about Ebola that you should know.
From CNN:
This is the messy truth about Ebola
*B*E*S*A*F*E*
Readers: Thoughts? Blog me.
Mike, TM: Very interesting and illuminating. I have full confidence that you and Anonz know what you’re doing. It’s probably a very good thing that you revealed what you did. May you both be safe.
Lill of Guam: Nice nod to the girls! Thanks for posting.
Today is recognized as Columbus Day – I thought this write spoke well to the man that has been honored for way too long on this day. So in light of that…Happy “Indigenous People’s Day!”
Peace out.
Lastly, greed over a great story is surfacing from my “loyal”(?) readers. With all this back and forth about who owns what, that appears on my blog, let me reiterate that all material posted on my blog becomes the sole property of my blog. If you want to reserve any proprietary rights don’t post it to my blog. I will prominently display this caveat on my blog from now on to remind those who may have forgotten this notice.
Gratefully your blog host,

Trouble getting in here today …?

I have been trying all day. This sucks.

Why the fuck does it keep saying “Duplicate comment detected; it looks as though you’ve already said that!”
If not for racism, there would be no problem with ebola spreading in Texas. You need to look no further than the pieces of shits sending the black man home with a fever of 103.
The sick sons of bitches are getting just what they are.
October 14th, 2014 at 6:26 am
I got right in Louis but I assumed since it was zero comments by late aft that something was going on.
Ugh, The brand of white men in Texas make me think should be it’s own country bc it’s even more racist than the other ‘untied’ states (united in bigotry?) a whole bunch of cowboys thinking they know the best way to handle everything.
The US in general is so flawed in so many ways it’s hard to feel patriotic towards such F’d up core values. We don’t value all people, I could go on about behavior, mores and social concepts that are superior in other countries but … I won’t.
Glad you finally got in, ZL

I’m with you Michelle. Why are we honoring a murderous fool who did not discover America.
October 14th, 2014 at 8:18 am
Had they had the same response to a black person’s high fever as they have to a white, they could have stopped the spread of the deadly virus. Instead, scores of people in Texas, who came in contact with the young African man wait anxiously to see if they, too, will get sick.

This President well protected has again acted not in the best interests of his Citizens! The other countries will put even tighter travel bans on their transportation systems as this deadliest disease increases in volume.
OUR PRESIDENT act imperiously! It is self evident that when travel is restricted by others we will increasingly be the recipient! NO TIME FOR NICETIES! TELL THIS PRESIDENT TO PLACE TRAVEL RESTRICTIONS NOW! NO POLITICS —- “SURVIVAL”!!

TX can’t help but make ordinary citizens worry as to just what the hell is going on in hospitals that are suppose to know what they are doing when it comes to Ebola.
October 14th, 2014 at 8:22 am
Ken#8, I blame Obama. “Obviously.”
October 14th, 2014 at 8:23 am
The nursing staff needs to grow some balls and put people in quarantine. If the doc chooses to over rule the nurse it’s his ass. I know a nurse can put someone in quarantine. I’ve done it with TB pts.

Please see our petition and following information sent to WHO. Early this week the same information will be sent by registered express mail to those countries affected. It’s time to call for safe, simple treatment and prophylaxis by a proven approach:
Dear Dr Chan (Director General, WHO),
Please find enclosed a copy of a petition, still in progress, in which people worldwide urgently request that the World Health Organisation test and distribute suitable homeopathic remedies to break the Ebola disease epidemic. We also have a further request at the end of this letter.
(The Petition can be viewed at: https://www.change.org/p/dr-daniel-kertesz-who-end-the-suffering-of-the-ebola-crisis-test-and-distribute-homeopathy-as-quickly-as-possible-to-contain-the-outbreaks)
The petition explains the ease of testing and distributing homeopathic remedies. It also lists recent government interventions in which homeopathy was used across tens of thousands to millions of people to manage epidemics. As examples:
- The Indian government uses it for malaria, Japanese encephalitis, dengue fever, and epidemic fever
- The Cuban government uses it for leptospirosis epidemics and dengue fever outbreaks
- Trials funded by the Brazilian government reduced the incidence of meningococcal disease across tens of thousands of Brazilians during outbreaks and epidemics
- The governments of Thailand, Colombo and Brazil use it to manage dengue fever
We have attached a document with references and information about these and other instances of homeopathic intervention during epidemics. It can also be accessed at: http://homeopathyplus.com.au/Homeoprophylaxis-Human-Records-Studies-Trials.pdf and is updated regularly.
In addition to addressing the request of our petition, our community has another question to which we would appreciate a response for public distribution.
Given that homeopathy is recognised by WHO as the second most widely used system of medicine in the world but qualified homeopathic representatives have not yet been invited to contribute meaningfully to discussions on this crisis, and given homeopathy’s demonstrated effectiveness at curtailing and managing epidemics, will qualified representatives be invited to contribute at future discussions?
We look forward to your early response to this petition and our question.
On behalf of Homeopathy Plus and concerned signatories,
Fran Sheffield (Homeopathic Consultant and Educator)

Elbola Presidente Barrack needs a clue.
“Even in African nations with limited resources hardest hit with the epidemic, isolation is well known to be the first line of defense against the virus that has killed more than 3,400 people so far and infected 7,500″.
October 14th, 2014 at 8:28 am
Any Americans interested in stopping further spread of this horrible virus here, please sign this petition and pass it along. https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/petition/immediately-stop-all-incoming-flights-liberia-and-other-west-african-countries-where-ebola-virus/vMRXPqz7

Republicans are all very quick to brag about the great quality of the American national health and how they are all such great professionals. Texas a republican state is forever bragging about their special quality of medicine.
Now that they have Fucked up they will start hunting for the political heads. I wouldn’t be surprised if there is a demonstration soon to protests about the lack of security to protect the borders.
October 14th, 2014 at 8:35 am
Sorry Fran#12 but it will take more than magical water to stop this bug. Homeopathy is nothing but water. In order for it to work as intended several well established laws of physics and biology would need to be ignored.
For those unfamiliar with homeopathy the practitioners believe that treating symptoms with something that causes the same symptoms is good.
So they will treat a bleeding disorder with something that makes you bleed more. They also believe that diluting an ingredient makes it stronger.
They usually dilute it so there is no possibility of any active ingredients remaining. If you buy homeopathic medicine you are buying plain water at some ridiculously high prices.
October 14th, 2014 at 8:36 am
Fran#12, Prove yourselves. Recruit homeopaths to volunteer in the affected areas, you know, the way physicians and nurses do, and demonstrate the superiority of your methods empirically. Then circulate your petition.
October 14th, 2014 at 8:38 am
Vincent#16 & Falcon#17, I’m sorry but you’ve been reading too may ‘skeptic’ blogs and have been duped. It’s time to put ill-founded prejudices aside and look at what is actually happening.
Governments (not just homeopaths) are using homeopathy for epidemics because it works. They’re doing it because it saves lives, brings epidemics under control and reduces the burden on healthcare infrastructure.
Take the time to read the links provided so you aren’t inadvertently caught up in the spreading of destructive misinformation.
October 14th, 2014 at 8:41 am
Now the workers at the TX hospital are complaining they have been put at risk. Racist practices like giving less care to the OTWs will do that.
October 14th, 2014 at 8:42 am
Is the only justification for the Pharmaceutical companies to put this deadly virus on the back burner for thirty years and wait till it strikes down thousands of victims all for the sake of making billions now. YOU BET!!!!!
October 14th, 2014 at 8:43 am
I’m getting the feeling they don’t know as much about the transmissibility threshold of this disease as they think. Professional medical staff who are taking all the necessary precautions are still being infected.
October 14th, 2014 at 8:45 am
Knowing whites in their panic, they will start buying books and clothing by scare mongers and spouting xenophobic bullshit.
This is going to spread like wildfire with nurses and docs as the vectors.
October 14th, 2014 at 8:48 am
It’s always the same thing. Unforced errors, or just plain racist treatment of OTWs. Sending Duncan back home with antibiotics when he tells them he just came from West Africa and had a fever of 103.
Just careless or racist stupidity that makes things like this worse.
October 14th, 2014 at 8:49 am
Shirley#20, You can’t expect drug companies to develop a vaccine for a virus like this unless paid to do so by the Government. Developing vaccines for new viruses that could threaten us in the future is a government responsibility. This virus has been known since 1976. The US Government dropped the ball long ago.
October 14th, 2014 at 8:50 am
There is no accounting for the thousands of untrained, illtrained or just unqualified personnel in the chain of caregivers.
October 14th, 2014 at 8:51 am
Kathleen#21, I would agree. We’re repeatedly told how hard it is to get this disease yet an awful lot of healthcare workers have died. I can’t believe they were all being lazy or lackadaisical.
October 14th, 2014 at 8:52 am
Zen Lill, I tried all day to get in. Now there are dozens. What is your secret?
October 14th, 2014 at 8:55 am
Part of why they will not isolate countries, or states ; ) that are “infected” is that the isolation apparently leads to WORSE problems.
Over 33 people in the US were presented to Hospitals like Duncan was. They were ALL handled properly – so you really heard ZIP about it.
Racist-ass Texas screwed UP, but clearly not everyone here is as incompetent as Texas.
October 14th, 2014 at 8:57 am
Ebola is just another whiteboy made virus.
October 14th, 2014 at 8:57 am
It looks the MEDICAL COMMUNITY is getting a big fat FAIL all over the world! WAKE UP – THIS IS A DEADLY VIRUS THAT DEMANDS MORE THAN AN ABUNDANCE OF CAUTION – WAKE UP
This is not business as usual where apparently most doctors are more interested in getting rid of their patients by prescribing “take two aspirin and call me in the morning” !
HEY DOC – YOUR INCOMPETENCE IS SHOWING AND NOW IS NOT THE TIME FOR YOUR BUSINESS AS USUAL !
October 14th, 2014 at 9:03 am
Desiree#29, explain.
October 14th, 2014 at 9:06 am
That’s the great, Universal healthcare like in Europe,– that’s what Democrats want? Yikes.
The bottom line is, every country needs to do everything to Prevent Ebola From Coming to Their Country, in the first place.
Reducing air travel to and from W. Africa, except for medical personnel, is the best way to keep it from spreading.
October 14th, 2014 at 9:07 am
There comes a point and time when you’ve just got to push the leftists – with their warm and fuzzy but useless ideas – out of the way and take care of things.
Pandemics bring out the worse in people (affected and non-affected). Treating them like cattle to get them where they belong to get the best available help may seem inhumane, but it’s for (the Left’s favorite phrase) the public good.
October 14th, 2014 at 9:08 am
Amazing this type of gross racist negligence is going to cost us dearly.
October 14th, 2014 at 9:10 am
Fred#32, Did non-universal care prevent the screw-up in Dallas? First you decry “human error” then you try to pin the blame on underlying payment system. Which is it?
