Trump’s Accusations Against Clinton Rises To Unprecedented Levels
Posted by Michelle Moquin on June 1st, 2016
Good morning!
I realize that Trump is getting more air time than any other presidential candidate but sometimes one just can’t help posting a write about him. This time the “one” is me and it is one of those times.
From Reuters:
Trump, aiming to offset money disadvantage, escalates Clinton attacks
WASHINGTON/NEW YORK – Donald Trump this week took his use of sordid accusations against Democrat Hillary Clinton to levels unprecedented in modern U.S. presidential campaigns, in the latest example of the Republican’s unorthodox playbook.
The presumptive Republican nominee is working to gain stronger footing and offset a big advantage Clinton is likely to have ahead of the Nov. 8 presidential election – a huge campaign war chest that she and her allies intend to use to launch a barrage of attacks against him.
Trump is using the same strategy he used repeatedly during the Republican nomination fight against rivals like Ted Cruz – making incendiary statements that U.S. television networks can’t resist covering, giving him hours of free media and putting his opponents on the defensive.
The strategy may already be working.
Trump has raised more than a few eyebrows with his latest round of attacks against Clinton. He has turned history into headlines that play like a virtual reel in the 24-hour news world of cable TV and the internet.
Trump’s campaign manager, Corey Lewandowsi, said the strategy makes sense.
“Clearly, she’s going to have massive amounts of money,” Lewandowski told Reuters. “The difference is Mr. Trump has funded his campaign. What we’ve been able to do in this campaign cycle is to generate earned media based on Mr. Trump’s ability to be a straight talker, and genuine and authentic, and I think that’s what drives the news cycle.”
Trump’s latest salvos include a rape accusation against former President Bill Clinton dating to the 1970s and the suicide of an aide to the former president in 1993 – events that the campaign links to Hillary Clinton.
An online video released by Trump has various women accusing the former president of rape or unwanted sexual advances. Trump accused Hillary Clinton of helping to silence the women. The Clintons and their supporters have dismissed the charges as baseless and politically motivated.
Then, in an interview with The Washington Post, Trump suggested that the Clintons may have been involved in the 1993 death of Vince Foster, a former aide to Bill Clinton and a friend of Hillary Clinton, even though more than five investigations, including one conducted by Republican special prosecutor Kenneth Starr, concluded Foster committed suicide in a Virginia park.
Trump was alluding to theories over the years that have been circulated in tabloid publications, in the depths of the internet and in books by the Clintons’ foes.
The attacks have put Clinton on her back foot.
Trump “just continues to gobble news cycle after news cycle,” said Republican pollster Kellyanne Conway, who ran the Super PACs that backed Senator Ted Cruz in the primary and aggressively attacked Trump. “Clinton is spending less time campaigning about the future and more time explaining the past than she would probably like.”
The barrage puts Clinton in a bind. So far, she has opted to ignore Trump’s personal attacks and her campaign has offered general pushback. But Clinton risks the negative onslaught dragging down her standing in the public and irreversibly damaging her general election hopes.
“I played a lot of hardball in my life, but I don’t envy what the Clinton campaign is up against here. Trump himself has totally changed the political dynamic,” said Jim Manley, a Democratic strategist who supports Clinton. “What they can’t afford to do is get in the gutter with the guy. He has absolutely no morals or scruples. Getting into the gutter with him is an absolute waste of time.”
Clinton’s campaign and the Super PACs supporting her will not be without funds to try to combat the attacks and launch her own. At the end of April, she had $30 million in her campaign account, compared with Trump’s $2 million.
And the PAC supporting her, which can raise and spend unlimited amounts of money, had $46 million at the end of April – a total that is likely to grow over the summer. The PAC backing Trump is just getting off the ground.
Clinton will also depend on an army of surrogates to try to combat Trump without having to respond to him herself.
Trump has already proven he can dispatch opponents without spending much money by defining them to voters through aggressive appearances on news programs.
Republican rival Jeb Bush had a more than $100 million advantage going into the primary. But Trump painted him as “low energy” and defined him as inept, a characterization Bush’s money was never able to overcome.
The PACs backing Republican Senators Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz spent millions assailing Trump. Trump was able to leverage extensive coverage of his campaign by the media to combat their attacks while spending little money on advertising.
Trump has been proven an expert at raising attack lines that have already been settled, but insisting that questions remain. He spent years demanding that President Barack Obama produce his birth certificate, despite myriad evidence that Obama was born in Hawaii, including government records of the president’s birth in Honolulu.
For Trump, some of the attacks are targeted at young voters – those in their early 20s and 30s were too young to have been immersed in news about the scandals of the Clinton years.
“You have a whole series of the population who either (a) don’t know anything about it, or (b) weren’t paying attention at the time,” Lewandowski said.
A Clinton ally said Trump is simply trying to distract attention from his own liabilities – such as refusing to release his tax returns and his own history of problems with women.
“The more he raises these outrageous and outlandish charges,” said U.S. Representative Xavier Becerra, of California, a Democratic leader in the House, “the more he keeps you pedaling in a different direction.”

Readers: You can click over if you want to watch a short video. I didn’t feel like posting it here. Although I did view it, I was mostly watching the women in the video cheering Trump on. Why oh why would any woman vote for a man who is a misogynist is beyond my reasoning. A girlfriend of mine the other day said of Trump becoming the president, “At least we’ll have fun.” She was dead serious. Yeah…I know. The logic escapes me.
OH…by the way…don’t ya think Trump needs to be added to the “LSOS” Club?
On a more pleasant note…I can’t tell you how thrilled I am that so many of you are with me again. I had no idea if starting up again would pan out but it looks like we’re going to have plenty of back and forth badinage during this unbelievable election year.
So…let’s get it going. Tell me what’s on your mind. Blog me.
Lastly, greed over a great story is surfacing from my “loyal”(?) readers. With all this back and forth about who owns what, that appears on my blog, let me reiterate that all material posted on my blog becomes the sole property of my blog. If you want to reserve any proprietary rights don’t post it to my blog. I will prominently display this caveat on my blog from now on to remind those who may have forgotten this notice.

My husband is so excited about Donald Trump’s candidacy it makes me sick. He actually believes what this man tells him.

We like Trump because he speaks from a place that is not politically correct.

If I could vote for POTUS, no way would I consider Trump. He has no clue about how to deal with international or domestic problems. His only avenue of discourse is to demean the competition.

This creep we call archbishop is a pedophile who has a record of protecting pedophile priests. When will the Chamorros get the balls to tell him to step down?
An Agat youth who served as an altar boy in the village church was molested in the late 1970s by Father Anthony Apuron, according to his mother, Doris Concepcion, who said her son, Joseph A. Quinata, revealed his secret shortly before he died 11 years ago.
Concepcion is the latest person to accuse Apuron, who is now the island’s archbishop, of sexually assaulting a child under his care. Concepcion said she decided to come forward after another former Agat altar boy, Roy Quintanilla, on May 17 said Apuron molested him during a sleepover at Apuron’s home in the 1970s.
Apuron has denied Quintanilla’s allegation. The Archdiocese of Agana has also denied the allegation by Concepcion.
When asked about the newest accusation, the archdiocese provided the following written response.
“In the past days, malicious and calumnious accusations against the Archbishop have surfaced, even from a deceased person,” Father Adrian L.F. Cristobal, Chancellor of the Archdiocese of Agana, said in a statement. “The Archbishop strongly denies this accusation as he had done so before.”
=========================
Of course he denies it. Let’s examine the record in the light of day.

That’s interesting but I am a veteran so what concerns me is my health. I like this article.
The Veterans Equal Access Amendment, which was tacked onto H.R. 4974, the Military Construction, Veterans Affairs, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act for Fiscal Year 2017 in the U.S. Congress, could strike down restrictions preventing medical doctors working at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs from recommending medical marijuana for patients with PTSD and other conditions.
The amendment, which was introduced by Rep. Earl Blumenauer, D-Ore., passed with a vote of 233-189. Later, the Senate passed a bill which also contains a provision allowing VA doctors to recommend medical marijuana.
Both versions of the bill have to be reconciled then voted on by both houses.
Guam has a Community Based Outpatient Clinic in Agana Heights which is under VA jurisdiction. Its purpose is to provide primary health care to eligible veterans using available resources.
Sen. Tina Muña-Barnes, who co-authored the original measure proposing to legalize medical marijuana on Guam, told the Post that should the measure become law, the Guam Legislature would reaffirm it.
“We have done it before,” the senator said. “We emulate what is happening in the United States. Because, remember, federal law trumps Guam law,” she said.
Safe access
In a message on social media, Muña-Barnes posted: “Guam is home to an incredible community of veterans. This island has one of the highest concentrations of veterans in all of the U.S. states and territories. Many of them will be coming back to our island with wounds, visible and invisible. It is important that we do our best to take care of this courageous group of men and women as they begin to integrate back into our society. This includes giving them safe access to medical cannabis.”
She said the House passage of the bill, which includes the amendment that would allow vets to discuss with their doctor the use of cannabis, is one step closer toward legitimizing the use of cannabis as a safer alternative to opioids.
According to Muña-Barnes, the bipartisan support for the amendment “demonstrates the changing attitude of the nation toward the use of cannabis to treat certain debilitating illnesses.”
During the House debate, Blumenauer said, “What I hear from veterans that I talk to is that an overwhelming number of them say that medical marijuana has helped them deal with PTSD, pain, and other conditions, particularly as an alternative to opioids, and I would argue that it is essential that veterans be allowed access to this as a treatment if it is legal in their state.”
============================
I’m not saying we shouldn’t get rid of a pedophile priest, but the catholic church had been a detriment to the progress of Guam in so many areas. It is the single biggest cause of inequitable treatment of women on Guam.

What is pathetic are the trump supporters that really believe what he says…
Publically he says he won’t touch Medicare…behind closed doors it is open season on seniors.
That’s just one of the latest…
The reason he gets away with it is because his supporters are low information voters…the less they know the better…they just wait for fox news to tell them what to think.

He’s actually a genius with killing people’s goals with a few words, it’s a tough one to gauge with his negative campaigning he can and will get dirty and there’s a point to which you (Hilary’s camp) should ignore it though you’re left exposed if you do…
I hope she’s got a clever campaign handler bc you cannot allow his underhanded means of going for your jugular just roll and yet if she over reacts, he could flat line her the way he did with Jeb.
I’m sure her team is studying all the options, this’ll get interesting bc we all know the Clintons do know how to play hard ball when they need to.
This kind of campaigning bugs me though, sell yourself on your own merit, but he hadn’t got much in the ‘merit’ department thus the poisoning of your thoughts about her is his best option, pretty pathetic.

My friend who works at the Gran Hotel domine Bilbao says the American tourists tell him that Donald Trump is going to be the next president of the USA.
I think you people are crazy if you think the spanish people of the world will tolerate your bigotry towards Latinos.
Las personas que apoyan a Trump son tan racistas como él es.
June 2nd, 2016 at 6:29 am
Zen Lill, I think that the reason Donald Trump’s tactic of being super rude worked for him during his republican run for the nomination is because republicans are a breed that believes anything goes to accomplish their goals.
Witness the fact that they support killing doctors that perform abortions. They denigrate their opponents in the most demeaning way. So all donald was doing was playing their game in their house.
Democrats don’t like that kind of competition. So his tactics won’t work. All Hilary has to do is to hit back with real facts about the way he has made money.
She doesn’t have to use gutter tactics because she is not trying for the vote of the hypocritical evangelical bastards that support that kind of rude behavior.

Michelle, I live on Majorca. It is one of the islands of the Balearic islands in Spain. The talk about your american politics is strong. What kind of people select a man like that to be their President?
També creiem que els nord-americans que donen suport a Trump són ignorants racistes.
June 2nd, 2016 at 6:46 am
Els nord-americans que pensen que els pobles de parla espanyols del món es atinc i permetre que bufó insultar i discriminar-los descobrir com lluitar amb això quan que visiten els nostres països.
June 2nd, 2016 at 6:52 am
I agree with you Jerry@18. The general election is composed of a different type of audience. We are more civilized than the “bible Belt” nasties.
They have a history of demeaning, enslaving, and feeling so superior because they think they know god better than the rest of us, that they can attack their opponents however they wish to accomplish their goals.
That sick disgusting shit won’t work for the majority of us. So let donald try it. After the shock value wares off, he will be dead in the water.
Let’s hope he takes down the republican Senate and the House with him because they are of the same ilk.
June 2nd, 2016 at 6:58 am
I agree with you Zen Lill, trump will continue his nasty tactics of attempting to humiliate his opponents rather than debate them. That is a republican tactic that has worked among republicans.
White boys have long practiced it. Rather than debate an OTW, they just point out to their constituents the race or gender of the person. Their racist supporters accept that they don’t have to debate them because they themselves don’t accept OTWs or white women as equal to a white boy.
June 2nd, 2016 at 7:18 am
The republican party is getting what it deserves. It has spent 8 years demeaning Obama because he is black and going after its opponents in the most humiliating and disgustingly uncivilized ways.
That dog is now hunting in their backyard. He has devoured their candidates who, though they would have no problems doing what was done to them to the democrats, weren’t prepared for those tactics to be used against them.
The media has made the mistake as to lump all the rest of the people into that revolting group of republican supporters. Thus they are telling us those loathsomely offensive tactics will work in the general election.
We have seen that behavior every time a republican has run for office. They did it in the last POTUS run, and will do it in the next.
The only difference is that it was done to them first in their primary this time, so they think it will now work in the general election. No sweat. The people of this country can handle it. Americans, as a whole, are not monstrous despicable low-lifes like majority of the republican party. We find that kind of nasty campaigning distasteful.
As long as people like Michelle continue to put the type of truthful articles she puts in front of us so that we can be reminded of the racists, greedy, sanctimonious hypocritical devious animals most of the republican party is, we will be fine.
Michelle I am looking forward to you helping take down that piece of racist shit.
June 2nd, 2016 at 7:35 am
I was born in this country like any other american. Why do members of the republican party feel they have the right to question my citizenship or loyalty to my country?
The terrorist in this country that have killed the most people have all been white boys. Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols killed 168 people and injured more that 680 others. Out side of 9/11 which happened on a republican president’s watch, there has been no greater destruction of american life or property on our soil.
I said on OUR soil, because this country is as much mine as it is any of those bigoted white racist sons of bastards.
Any latino that supports that party is a fool and a opportunist idiot. The few cubans who think they will be accepted as whites can fool themselves into supporting that bunch of racist creatures, but and sane spanish speaking citizen in this country knows republicans think this is a white boy’s country.
They don’t even represent humans as we know them. We need to put a majority on SCOTUS to stop their gerrymandering. That will close their illegal hold on the House. That majority can also put a stop to their voter suppression laws in those states in which they use those tactics to take governorships and Senate seats.
Once that happens those racist bastards will be regulated to the back rooms and underground sewers they crawled out from.
June 2nd, 2016 at 7:52 am
Have you seen the video trump had orchestrated, in it a young beautiful black woman that works for him talks about how he’s not a racist or sexist? And how the trumps are the most generous blah blah family that ever lived & really, It’s sad, she’s drinking some expensive kool aid with the family, biggest piece of propoganda ever…as if one video takes care of all his prior rantings about race and women.
I agree the general election won’t get into this behavior but I thought we would’ve gotten ‘smart’ after his stump speech so I’m holding out hope that democrat and Indy Americans wake up in time.
