Darrell Issa Calls For Government Shutdown If Hillary Clinton Is Not Charged
Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA) once claimed that he “never voted for a [government] shutdown and never will.” But Issa is so angry the FBI recommended Hillary Clinton not be indicted for using a private server for her email that he suggested on Wednesday that he is rethinking his promise. He proposed that now might be a good time for the Republican leadership to shut down the federal government, in protest of what he called “an imperial president” who will not “enforce criminal charges against a criminal.”
In an interview on SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Daily, Issa blasted FBI Director James Comey’s decision as “simply choosing to ignore a law.”
“We should be willing to shut down the government if the president won’t limit his power,” he said, noting that his party had repeatedly been “willing to shut down the government over ending Obamacare and these other things.” Those things, according to Issa, are “small points compared to the actual balance of our republic.”
Issa said the leadership would agree to a shutdown only if there was a clear example, like this, where “we cannot enforce criminal charges against a criminal… because the people responsible are simply choosing to ignore a law.”
While he said it is “not about Hillary Clinton,” he suggested that because “we can’t get to the courts,” in this case and others, “only have one piece of power, and that’s an imperial president.” He suggested that Congress should expand the power of independent counsels because, “otherwise Lois Lerner gets a free pass, Eric Holder gets a free pass, and yes, Hillary Clinton gets a free pass.”

In the same interview, Issa warned that, if elected, Clinton would simply pardon herself for the alleged crimes for which she was not charged.
Issa was reportedly arrested in 1972 for auto theft and weapons violations. No charges were brought against him.

Readers: They can’t do anything. They’re just trying to keep it alive in the media to make Hillary look bad. If Hillary was a man this never would have gone this far. It never would’ve been an issue. Ever. The repubs are in do-or-die times doing desperate things to save their party.
On another note, my heart is even heavier today with the latest murder of Philando Castile in Michigan. Many were protesting for Black Lives Matter in different cities last night. It appears some in Dallas were feeling the same as some of you here. Officers were shot and killed.
Just noticing…interesting how the killing of police officers is “Breaking News” with a “Special Report” interrupting television shows nationally, with news reporters saying, “…targeting police officers because they were police officers.” Yet, no programs are interrupted nationally with a “Breaking News” “Special Report” when a black man is killed by a police officer. Nor do you ever hear, “…Police officers targeting black men because they were black men.”

Michelle, you are making a very important point. Today my newspaper has the headlines in big bold black “OFFICERS KILLED BY SNIPERS IN DALLAS.”
Below in much smaller type: “Video show aftermath of Minnesota police shooting.”
Really? Maybe a repeat of dallas will bring into focus to white america “black lives matter.”
It seems nothing else matters to this race but their own angst. If that “Minnesota police shooting” had not occurred neither would that Dallas shooting.
Racist whites need to learn that murder begets murder when the victims and their relatives can’t get justice in the white boys justice system.

I can’t wait to get the picture of the brave black man that took out those cops. If his actions spark more of the same all over this country, one day he will be regarded in the same heroic light as Rosa Parks.

Its pure racism there Loretta#1. I see it all the time in gun forums, basically if they are black, well they probably deserved it.
Conservatives rant about blacks being on welfare, getting stopped with suspended licesne, no insurance etc. Yet even when a black man goes and gets his permit, has clean paperwork, and no record, well its okay to kill them anyways.
You want them to go get jobs, yet make it a dangerous proposition to simply get back and forth to work. So why shouldnt they stay at home on welfare where its safer?

Loretta#1, Minnesota governor Dayton stated the obvious. Blacks are treated differently by the police than Whites. He deserves credit for being honest.
As was the case following the death of Jamar Clark in Minneapolis last November 15, Castile’s death sparked large protests, this time during the early morning hours in front of the Governor’s Mansion in St. Paul. During a news conference on Thursday, Minnesota Gov. Mark Dayton (D) said he believes that if Castile had been white, the 32-year-old longtime St. Paul public schools employee that many are describing as a role model for kids would still be alive.
“Would this had happened if those passengers were white? I don’t think it would’ve,” Dayton said. “So I’m forced to confront, and I think all of us in Minnesota are forced to confront, [that] this kind of racism exists.”

According to numbers compiled by the Guardian, Castile became the 561st person killed by police in America this year. While more than twice as many whites have been killed as blacks overall, blacks are killed at more than double the rate relative to their population.
The only ethnicity more likely to die at the hands of the police is Native Americans. That would be my people.

We are a Nation of laws and when the top American official tells society that there are laws that should be ignored, then the lowest among us starts looking for laws they feel need to be ignored.
Add to that the Presidents rhatoric against cops and supporting the violenct Black Lives Matter movements where they openly chant about killing cops and you have a very dangerious situation created by Democrats.

Numerous horrible events occurred over the past few days. Innocent officers, who more than likely had nothing do do with the increase in black shooting, being shot in retaliation isn’t right. On the same side of the coin a black father, in his vehicle with his family, stopped by a cop.
As I understand from what I have read, the father, quite rightfully so, self declares and informs the cop he has an open carry license, to prevent the cop from freaking out if he gets a glimpse of the gun. The cop then proceeds to instruct the black man for his license and registration and when the father goes for it, the cop shoots him.
This all has to stop. I have seen a lot of these videos. It has to be horrible being a cop in these situations. You have to error on the side of caution, make split second decisions or you won’t survive.
Then there are other videos like the one where the cop shoots an unarmed man fleeing from him on a field, in the direction of houses, if I recall correctly. In the cops defense though, I am sure many of these black mens animosity towards cops and the addititude and body language as a result doesn’t help situations.
Also it doesn’t help when a cop has made an obvious error in judgement, the cops and legal system for ranks behind him and he gets a slap on the wrist of less. My fear is how will this event affect the future.
Will cops use this event to review their procedures and training or, and I believe this is the more likely outcome, increase their attacks on blacks spiraling us down.

I’m getting very sick of hearing about how “split second decisions” can justify taking an innocent life. If someone is SUCH a paranoid pussy that their first response to the slightest hint of danger is “kill him,” then that someone has ZERO business being on the police force.
It’s a risky job and officers do NOT get to mitigate that risk by killing everyone that startles or unnerves them.
I’m sick and tired of white juries giving these murders a pass. If you want to feel safe in your homes allow others to feel safe when they are behind the wheel while being approached by a cop and his screaming siren and lights.
If you can’t do this, then expect some of those automatic weapons you have demanded be allowed on the streets to be used against you and yours.

EVERY cop i know supports concealed carry and EVERY police organization supports it. Concealed carry permits means the person has gone through a background check and the cops know that the person they are interacting with is not a felon.

I hope that, at some point, this can be a teaching moment. Every police officer who has lied to cover up mistakes, misconduct, and murder by fellow officers has contributed to the desperation that leads misguided individuals to take actions like these.
In Chicago this standard operating procedure is so prevalent among police that, in the absence of corroborating video, an officer who tells the truth is likely to be considered a liar since his story will most likely be the opposite of that told by every other officer at the scene.
Maybe things are different in Dallas but I doubt it.

He was 25 years old and served time in the army in Afghanistan. He was a hero who died for what he believed in, an end to the violence on black people by racist thugs with badges. A noble cause if ever there was one.
It is a shame that he was treated differently from the white mass murders who police allow to surrender. The gutless wonders pretended to be negotiating with him and sent a bomb in on a robot to blow him up.
They tried to lie about it by suggesting there were several bombs planted by Micah. If they could have gotten away with it, they would have lied to us and told us that he blew himself up.
I heard a cop say that this morning he was afraid for his safety as he jumped into his police car to go to work.

White america refuses to accept the truth because they revel in being privileged. If that means OTWs have to be uncomfortable when accosted by white police, that’s okay with them.
My reverent hope is that this is just the beginning. We honestly need more Micah Xavier Johnsons. Only when it is made clear to white police that when they murder one of us, some of them will pay will this wanton murder of unarmed black people stop.

Why do SOME (not all, because some actually have common sense) white people always say “this is inciting racism?” If racism didn’t exist in the first place, what is there to incite?
When that 12 year old child was killed within 3 seconds of that pig getting out of his vehicle. Becasue that pig was never supposed to be a cop in the first place becasue of his hatred of people of color – and that is why he moved to another state.
Look it up, if you’re interested. (But you probably won’t because it goes against YOUR agenda) And he and his partner lied about them ‘fearing for their lives’. That child didn’t have time to raise his hands.

Read the New Your TImes story, HOW THE SUPREME COURT PROTECTS BAD COPS. This the real reason it is happening.
SCOTUS has made it law. They are immune, the only way to get money from them is to prove the policeman did it with malice, with the intent to harm, you can not prove that.
All Federal cases and there outcome should be decided by a jury. If the policeman is so afraid for his life, he needs to get another job, and leave the police work to others, who care about people, and understand the concept of working for the people.
The judge is supposed to interpret the law and the jury is supposed to find the facts, but what has happened is the judge has changed the law to allow the police to do anything.
The Supreme Court is loaded with former prosecutors who don’t see anything wrong with sending innocent people to prison.

My heart is so heavy. All I have to offer after reading so many responses is that violence is not the answer. Hatred is not the answer. LOVE is the answer. LOVE over rides hate. Hate is toxic and hate only accomplishes division. We human beings are really one, we have so much in common. Human Beings want to be safe, want food and shelter, family and community. Unfortunately, the world isn’t safe so we must learn to come together to understand one another, to protect one another and to respect our differences and develop compassion for one another.
Maybe a good question to ask yourself is; do you want to be right about your hate or do you want to find the peace that resides in our heart? All the GREAT leaders, Dr. King, Gandhi, Nelson Mandela, Eleanor Roosevelt to name a few. took a stand for social justice, were spiritual beings that understood that one must look into the eyes of the oppresser and find the human connection and continue fighting and taking action for justice.
I am angry and I want to use my anger to stand for social justice. Let’s tell the truth, Jim Crow is alive and well and we must stand together to transform the hatred that is driven by racism into love. Nelson Mandela educated himself about his enemy, he knew that he needed to embrace his enemies and his people, Talk about courage, talk about strength, talk about vision, talk about miracles. He was able to transform hate into love and respect.
Are you willing to stand strong for social justice? You you willing to put yourself and your families in the shoes of the countless victims, Black Men, who do not share the same rights and freedom that white people share. This is sooooooo WRONG. Imagine being pulled over by a cop and living with the fear that you could be killed just because.
Those of us that have a vision of peace and those of us that want to use our anger constructively let’s unite. There is so much more power in light vs darkness.

Glowbal Am#41, love has never been a solution to white violence, racism and hatred towards OTWs. Your historical perspective is the propaganda issued by white when they have been forced by the fear of violence from those OTWs to return some of what they stole from them via violence.
The party of Nelson Mandela had to resort to violence to get their white oppressors to give them back their country. What you are talking about is what Mandela did after the blacks had their country back.
Frankly he was forced to not just take everything back those whites took from them. Form my perspective he should have given EVERY white person in his country a week to leave or be killed.
That may sound harsh to you as a white person, But if you were one of those blacks whose country was taken by force of arms and then had your people subjugated for 50 years.
Tens of millions died at the hands of those whites who Mandela spared and allowed to share and in most cases keep the treasure they only had because of the violence and death that occurred to gain.
I am tired of hearing the understanding OTW s extend to whites who use superior fire power to subjugate, enslave, and terrorize OTWs. Why isn’t LOVE the answer while the whites are exercising dominion over OTWs?

It is just another lie because actually one is less threatened in the dark where everyone is equal than in the light where it can be used to discriminate based on color or whatever.
The next time you are out remember you have to be afraid of the person who controls the light. If he can see you and you can’t see him, then you are vulnerable.

When have you ever heard that the police used a bomb to murder a suspect? Notice because the victim is a black man, NO one is making an issue of it.
The cops claim they did it because Micah Xavier Johnson was a threat to civilians. That is a lie he only took out cops. If he was a cowardly white boy he would have gone to a white neighborhood and murdered innocent unarmed whites like your typical white mass murderer does.
He was murdered by gutless cops who are only brave when they are pulling over unarmed black people.

I may be white but I refuse to be a part of this vilification of Mr. Johnson. He bravely faced death taking on a group of people (police officers) who were deadly oppressors of his people.
They could have used a knockout gas to over come him, but these murders of black men resorted to what they do as modus operandi, they sought the fastest way to murder him.
My heart and prayers go to asking God to give this brave young man an honorable place in Heaven.

Interesting that all the police are demanding that they get a partner to ride along with them because they fear for their lives.
They are armed to the teeth and they fear for their lives. Too bad unarmed black people can’t get a second to ride along with them to assist when those murderers pull the over.

I am tired of white people coming on blogs and suggesting that if blacks are not willing to put up with cops who murder or brutalize them, then they shouldn’t expect a cop to show up when they call for police assistance.
Cops are paid by the public to serve the public. They don’t come because they choose to, they come because that’s what they get paid by the citizens to do.

GA#41, OTWs have been trying to “come together” with whites in America for centuries. One can not “come together” with a race that has to believe they are better than OTWs because of the color of their skin.
Whites suffer from a psychosis of inferiority that manifests itself in delusions of grandeur. It would be hilarious if not for the fact it causes them to be lead by demagogues who commit genocides, rapes and debasement of OTWs on a colossal scale.
History is full of places whites have gone to and wiped out the entire species of humanity. From Guam to the islands of Jamaica. White have gone to them and murdered all the males and repopulated those islands with black slaves from the Africa and the Philippines.
In places like Australia, New Zealand and millions of indigenous were murdered on a scale unimaginable. Tens of millions were slaughtered to give whites exclusive ownership of those two places alone.
White people in general are toxic to the peaceful existence of OTWs. LOVE is just a word to most of them. They go to church and leave ready to murder any OTW that dares to assume he is equal to them.

I’ve been listening to white cops telling me things like from the minute they graduate from the academy all they think about is getting home alive.
That bullshit in the face of statistics that show For the United States, According to the Officer Down Memorial Page, 138 Officers died in the line of duty in 2008. In 2013, there were 105 line of duty deaths.

It is more dangerous to be a clerk in a grocery store than to be a cop in the US, and yet all we hear about is the “war on cops.”
Those wimps are always bragging about how heroic they were whenever an incident happens and they are involved. Most of the time they were simply doing what the job description says that job requires.
Cops earn your pay like the rest of us and shut the fuck up about you being a hero for doing it. You are paid to run to the danger just as firefighters are paid to run to the danger.
Yet, we don’t hear them milking that for every ounce of sympathy they can get. If running towards the danger is too much to ask of you, then don’t run towards that pay check we civilians pay you. Get another fucking job you sniveling cowards.

Frank#52, I heard somewhere that the cops have already killed over 500 civilians in just six months. Yet, we are supposed to believe they are the ones riding around in fear.
My black friends fear for their lives from rogue cops every time they get behind the wheel.
My white friends say behind their backs that blacks are always complaining about cops when they should just shut the fuck up when stopped and do what the cops say.
The insensitivity of that bullshit just makes me want to slap the white off their faces.

#1 reason at the heart of the matter is that cops are given a wide legal latitude when it comes to self-defense and it’s also because people (and juries in particular) are conditioned to believe cops. Our whole badly run justice system is based on trusting ‘authority figures’ when a cop is put on the stand, it’s just plain madness.

Edward Snowden, a private government contractor, took secure government information and placed it on to an unsecured server. This action made him become the FBI’s most wanted person. Hillary Clinton did the exact same thing that Edward Snowden did, and will not be prosecuted and might even become President.
It is safe to say that Hillary will invade or escalate current invasions of other countries around the world if she becomes President, and will do so in the name of assisting those other country’s to become Democratic governments and allies of the United States. The United States is in no position to give anyone lessons or assistance on this issue as we have no idea how to create a democracy, let alone protect one.

Each and everyone of us has our own interpretations and perceptions of the use of language that we speak. If we have any desire to connect on a human level, I believe that curiosity is a powerful way to learn about where people are coming from instead of assuming that we know what others are saying. We don’t see things the way they are, we see things the way we are. Human beings want to be right about our thoughts and beliefs above all else. This is the rub of the human condition.
We can all live in our anger because there is so much injustice, so much pain, so much brutality which is the devastating darkness (not race related) and the light comes from a much higher vibration (not race related) like those of us that choose to take action to change what so deperately needs to be changed. Hate begets hate. I choose not to hate!!!
I am a survivor of being molested for years as a young child and I was brutally raped when I was 9 years old. This was my initiation and drive to begin my life’s journey into Social Justice. I have chosen to fight the system with non violence and to the best of my ability fight with love in my heart. I have been arrested for civil disobedience over 20 times and I continue the journey of being an activist.
I don’t hate the men that violated over to many years. I choose to take action to wake people up to all the injustice in our country and in the world.
Many people in my family were killed at the hands of Nazi’s. I choose not to hate them as well, but you can count on me to stand up to the murders and tyrants of the world. Hate does not drive my heart. Fighting Injustice and while holding the notion of hope keeps me centered on my personal mission.
