Good morning!

/SB: Absolutely adorable! I love her. I wish more people felt that way.  I don’t expect the world to turn vegetarian; I’m not. But if we all just ate less meat, made sure the animals were treated well (with uber kindness) and killed humanely (as they so deserve), the world would be a very different place. Thank you – enjoy the holiday weekend too and do text me if you’re around. xox

Oh…Since you posted your cutie pie, I couldn’t resist posting one too. This one’s gone viral. I have a feeling yours will too. :)

From the Huff Po:

Adorable Little Girl Sings Cutest Version Of The Alphabet Song Ever

A B C D E F G, come and sing along with Violet Ogea!

Video showing the adorable 2-year-old from Shreveport, Louisiana, belting out the alphabet song is quickly going viral.

Her mom, Christina Ogea, posted the mesmerizing clip to Facebook on Thursday and it’s already garnered more than 1.1 million views.

“Every song she knows, she sings like this,” Christina told The Huffington Post on Saturday. “The whole family really enjoys music so it’s always playing in the house and she learns the songs when I sing to her rocking to sleep at night.”

Commenters have praised the toddler for her outstanding vibrato and general intensity of her performance. Broadway here she comes!

💜👼🏼💜

Readers: Really cute, right?

Julliet et al: Thank you.

Ingrid: That is exactly right. And that’s the problem with many voters; they don’t show up at the midterms. If they truly understood civics and how the the three branches of government work they would know how critical it is to vote during the midterms to ensure that the president has coattails, so that he/she can get something done.

Enjoy the holiday weekend, everyone!

Blog me.

Peace out.

Loved the little girl. On your write Michelle, I confess I did not show up for the mid-term elections. I won’t make that mistake again.

  2. Nadeen Says:

Michelle it seems that many americans don’t show up for those mid-term elections. It is a shame that your Obama didn’t get to do what he wanted because of the sad way he was supported by those who are so quit to claim he disappointed them.

Mieux vous tard que jamais does not work for american elections.

  3. Sandra Says:

I laughed so hard listening to that Michelle. Thanks for making my day.

  4. Josie Says:

    LOL.

  5. Abie Says:

You have a way with your selections Michelle. I love it.

  6. Mamie Says:

One day this little girl will be known. I hope I am around to see this replayed.

  7. Shelia Says:

Nice, way to start my day Michelle.

  8. Sophie Says:

Michelle where do you find these little gems? I hadn’t seen it before you posted it. Loved it though.

  9. Madeline Says:

I tried singing along with her, but I couldn’t get past her clinched fists, too funny.

  10. Hank Says:

Agreed, Michelle, more of us need to be educated on how the three branches of government work.

  11. Stanley Says:

If more people understood how the three branches of government worked they wouldn’t be fooled so easily by the dishonest politicians who make promises the Branch of government they are running for can’t keep because it has nothing to do with the promise made.

  12. Caroline Says:

Michelle, I hope you continue to educate those that read your blog about what the three branches of government do.

My husband who thinks he knows so much about politics has no clue. I tell him all the time that Trump couldn’t any of the shit he promises to do on “day one,” because the branch of government the POTUS is in has nothing to do with what he says he will do on “day one.” or any other day.

  13. Gwen Says:

Michelle, so many of my friends who wanna-be political experts have no clue what the branches of government do if they even know there are 3 separate branches.

    Thanks for the info.

  14. Salley Says:

Michelle, many of my friends believe the stuff Trump claims he will do because they don’t understand that we have three separate branches of government that each have different responsibilities.

You are doing god’s work here, informing people so they can choose better for their lives.

  15. George Says:

If more people paid more attention to the fact that it is Congress that writes the laws of this country, they would work harder to get those slimy republicans out.

  16. Li-liang Says:

It is interesting watching your MSM cover the two candidates. It seems to me that they are so much harder on your female candidate.

  17. Brigitte Says:

i personally don’t believe that americans will elect a woman. To me the women there have no self direction. They wait for the men to give it to them.

  18. Howard Says:

I am a lawyer and I can attest that many of my profession have some trouble with those 3 branches you mention Michelle.

Your work will not fall on deaf ears, if you continue to pursue it.

  19. Mildred Says:

Loved the little girl Michelle. Nice break from the nastiness of politics. Although I will say that I am tired of my white friends saying that BOTH candidates are guilty.

There scapegoating this nasty man is sickening.

  20. Social Butterfly Says:

Thanks for the video Michelle. You’ve put a smile on my face. Having kids must be a mind blowing experience!

    /SB

  21. Trudy Says:

    16.Li-Liang Says:

You are definitely right. The MSM media is fixated on that idiot trump. They accuse Hilary on minor stuff when they totally ignore the asinine shit that comes out of that fool’s mouth.

  22. Elaine Says:

Social Butterfly#20, if only it were that simple. I have 4 ages 3 to 11 and you can have any one of them you want.

Why I thought it was a good idea to have 4 is beyond me. My husband is a very successful Hollywood scriptwriter so we live very well. I have plenty of help raising this bunch of spoiled( I have been working to control that) brats.

Yet, I see no way to stop the privileged attitudes they are growing up with.

  23. Darcy Says:

Social Butterfly#20, having kids is a mind blowing experience. I raised 6. They are not grown with kids of their own. I have 19 grand kids.

If you think having them is mind blowing wait till you have grand kids. I try to avoid the mistakes I made with mind, because I didn’t know what I do today.

I try to expose my grand kids to the diversity of America’s peoples, but my kids being the bigots they are just continue to tell them or imply they are special because the are white and wealthy.

I gave the bastards millions. They did not do anything to earn their first few millions. Yet they are so quick to tell their children that the minorities are just too lazy to be successful.

I am 69, too old to put up the good fight. Yeah the mind blowing part is watching what you gave birth to turn to shit.

  24. Carla Says:

Michelle, I saw that list of “Zen Lillies” on yesterday’s blog and I had to write in. Jorge and I are very happy. It was your blog that made that possible.

I still read you every day. I was a little angry when you stopped for a while. I thought that you had abandoned your flock.

Here in Brazil you have thousands of fans. Sometimes we tease each other with the idea of having a special Carnaval in your honor. But no one believes you would come and be our Lady of Honor.

We were happy to see a woman elected to the head of our government and so disappointed to see the men get her kicked out. I hope that does not happen in your country.

Don’t shut down if she gets elected. She will need the support of strong women because men are so devious.

    Love forever
    Carla

  25. Delores Says:

Elaine#22, I’m sure you were joking, but it was painful to me. We have been trying to have a baby for 3 years. Nothing has worked so far. We have spent thousands trying.

If we can’t have a baby by the end of next year, we will adopt. Social Butterfly, I can’t wait to be mind blown.

  26. Alice Says:

Social Butterfly#20, I have 2, ages 16 and 18. Honestly, I think it depends on the race of the kids and the parents. My husband is black, very successful and politically very savvy.

Our 16 looks black and he has a terrible time, always had and probably always will making it here in America. Our 18 looks white and he has been on easy street forever.

Our 16 tries to emulate his big brother who he adores and follows around like a puppy. But since he looks black what his big brother got away with he gets reprimanded for and even when he tries to just be himself the cops stop him and harass him because he lives in this exclusive neighborhood.

Honestly, if I had to do it all over again. I wouldn’t marry a black man. It is just too hard on the children.

  27. Sonja Says:

Social Butterfly#20, the really mind blowing part is having to tell them everyday to watch out for the police.

My 4 grew up in a mixed neighborhood. They excelled in school and college because they were too afraid to go out and enjoy the childhood our white neighbors took for granted.

Two are in the software business, one is a school administrator and the other is in the military. Two have given me three lovely grandchildren. But nothing has changed. America is still as bigoted and racist as ever.

  28. Craig Says:

You liberallies don’t know anything. Donald Trump is speaking the truth about President Barack Obama’s amnesty agenda. As a successful businessman, he is beholden to no one, and is unafraid of speaking up for our principles.

Get out and support the man.

  29. Pabla Says:

Really Craig#28, well another latino has withdrawn support from that bigot. Latino Partnership for Conservative Principles President Alfonso Aguilar told CNN he felt disappointed and misled by Trump and his campaign after recent speculation the Republican nominee would soften his stance on undocumented immigrants.

Why any OTW would support the republican party is just a mystery to me. The party makes no effort to disguise their racist view points.

  30. Zen Lill Says:

MaQin, I’m beyond words…i most often think of Mischa as coMaQin, I’m beyond words…i most often think of Mischa as commander in chief and myself as an opinion giver and not much more, I’m here (and always have been) to give further or differing view as the case may be. She and this blog are a gift, I’m not sure she envisioned or planned what it has evolved and turned into when she started it but I remember day one and many of the days in between, it has been quite a ride and learning experience. She’s enlightened many on many topics…and it’s truly a privilege to know that she is honored by thousands and that I am the subject of a club (wow, that’s mind blowing really), I’m half amused that there are 2 clubs (does that indicate 2 differing groups, or just discussion of her views vs my commentary regarding a given topic?) …

From my observations out of the US, most people prefer formal introductions (here in SZ also) so I often use my slow method which seems to work, I see people respond to my daily nods, then the added smile, then the eventual ni hao. So, hope I get this right for the French ‘Zenlillies’

Il est mon honneur ti vous rencontrer Adaliz, Adell, Ah-lam, Andrea, Angeliqu, Aubina, Aveline, Bao, Bridgette, Camillei, Cecile, Chu-hua, Courtlyn, Damia, Dao-Ming, Darci, Denice, Desirae, Devyn, Dorine, Dyanna, Elaine, Eliza, Esme, Evonna, Fanette, Fang-hua, Fei Yen, Felicia, Florrie, Gabrielle, Georgitte, Giselle, Halette, Holly, Huette, Jacquelyn, Jai-li, Jennie, Jiao-long, Joie, Julie, Justyne, Lacey, Laurei, Leaia, Lela (<that is one of my many pet names for my daughter : ), Leondrea, Li-hua, Li-liang, Lien-hua, Lin, Lorraine, Luette, Lucille, Lyra, Mabelle, Mae, Mai, Mei-lein, Mallory, Manon, Margaux, Maria, Marjoiania, Mathilda, Maureen, Melodie, Mignonette, Mirelle, Myria, Nadeen, Nanci, Natalie, Nynette, Rachelle, Raissa, Renee, Rose, Sheng-li, Violetta, and Vivien. I hope you know that if you address me personally here anytime it would be my pleasure to reach out as I have with MaQin. Thank you all for being here and honoring me in this way, I'm very touched, and very much appreciate the rolling with the occasional ZL transgression, hopefully they'll always be few and far between.

I'm blown away by the lack of knowledge of the 3 branches of govt by US citizens, kudos to you, Mischa, someone's got to educate…11 Stanley I can't think of anyone better than our blog host to do it.

I got lucky in high school a 'world civ' teacher noted my ability to get the class discussion passionate and heated and took me aside to tell me the dopey boy next to me wasn't worth my attention and that I was clearly brighter than I was showing up for, so stop dumbing down and please show up, the class needs it. (Thanks Hustek <3)

The little girl is a cutie and I'm bummed I cannot open /SB link from yesterday. I'll keep trying. By the way, /SB, having my girl has been a major mind blowing experience, little did I know that she would be my greatest teacher and what we've got is what I never had with my own mother, I was very close with my father…but I'll add this: I'm never envious of what others have, ever, but that one thing used to bother me, the lack of motherly relationship, (she's just checked out and a bit flaky in general, I know it wasn't just me) but when friends would say, in going to see what my mother thinks id be a tiny bit wanting and longing…my girl and I will have that, so yes *mind blown* and all that being said, I'm also longing for a day when I can get a few dogs and cats, too : )

22 Elaine, my suggestion, get them out if the country and let them see how the rest of the world lives, if they have any soul they'll understand that they're privilege can be used to be arrogant and superior or to help affect true change in this world. I still hold out hope that people will understand the 'live and let live' love currency will be more important than just monetary currency, call me a pipe dreamer but that's my wish…it has to start somewhere so why now here

17 Brigette, that's exactly why this change is so needed (and why men are so scared) and it's also my best guess 12 Caroline that all the white males I know are allowing themselves to be in a state of 'suspended disbelief' (as we do while reading a fiction novel or attending a movie) I hope they know the 3 branches but I think this is their way of saying I'm a sexist without using their words, (childish behavior).

25 Dolores, I understand your pain, it's the pain of many of my friends who have tried for years, move ahead with adoption please, binding with your own child does not require that baby to come from your body, that is just a biological technicality. You'll be a wonderful mother, it's obvious by your deep desire to be one.

28 Craig take a chill, it's the wrong venue, you'll find no converts to your silliness here.

    Luv, Zen Lill

  31. Zen Lill Says:

    **apologies for any typos

amendment to above 17 bridgette after reading 29 Carlo’s comment, add racist and any other -ist not just sexist, sorry for not adding that originally Carlos.

  32. 1 of 2 Says:

I hope you are in attendance soon. Service has been spotty at best. The intentions are good but execution is lacking. Your presence would be a welcome sight and a pleasure to the soul. And would no doubt serve to demonstrate the seriousness of The Allegiance and Continuance of Good Faith in pursuant of The Goal

    Let it be so

  33. Leondrea Says:

Zen Lill they are two different clubs. Thanks for your kind reply to the ZenLillies.

  35. Zen Lill Says:

Hi Leondrea, thanks for responding, yes 2 clubs I was wondering if it was Zenlillies and MichellesGirlz and what’s the distinctions, is it based on who youre feeling an affinity toward or what’s the criteria for being a member of either? (or is there still a crew who don’t believe I’m real still?) … Just seeking a bit of clarity : )
    Thanks again, ZL

  36. Fembot Says:

    from the patch:

As a whole, the U.S. is abysmal when compared to other industrial nations when looking at gender equality. In 2015, the U.S. tumbled 8 positions to number 28 on the World Economic Forum’s ranking of the most gender-equal countries.

Here in California we can take solace that we’re among the best states for women’s equality, including tying for the top position for equality in attaining a higher education. We’re also near the top for gender-equal political representation, according to a recently completed study by WalletHub.

California didn’t fare as well in executive pay disparity, failing to make the Top 5 list. WalletHub points out that this is an ongoing problem nationwide, noting that the Center for American Progress reports that women “are only 25 percent of executive and senior level officials and managers, hold only 19 percent of board seats, and are only 4.6 percent of Fortune 500 CEOs.” And though they constitute the majority of the financial-services and health-care labor forces, not a single woman in these fields helms her organization.

The Top 5 States for Women’s Equality 2016:
    1. Hawaii, total score 81.67
    2. Alaska, total score 72.46
    3. Maine, total score 69.49
    4. California, total score 69.10
    5. Vermont, total score 68.16
The Bottom 5 States for Women’s Equality 2016:
    46. Louisiana, total score 45.45
    47. Pennsylvania, total score 45.15
    48. New Jersey, total score 44.97
    49. Georgia, total score 44.46
    50. Utah, total score 33.70

and utah last, where scores of women are forced via religion to share one man, but have no entitlement to flipping the gender equation on that marriage arrangment

  37. Frank Says:

Here’s my take on this election. Gimme a BUSINESS MAN before a CROOK!

  38. Perry Says:

God blessed us when he gave us a republican governor to help his people through the worst of hurricane Hermine.

Let’s hope only liberals die. That is the best way to cull the vote come November.

  39. Lien-hua Says:

Zen Lill@35, I can answer that. There are several clubs. Most are based on locations and the MOQ Régs the clubs want to represent.

I have the names of some of the Presidents of some of the clubs in Paris, Beauvais Agouleme,Aviignon, Orleans, and Poiters.

Most are chapters of Les FilleZ. They tend to be very secret because they discuss the legitimacy of the regular characters. Many tend to think that you, Doug, Al and Mike,TM are various inventions of Michelle to inform, entertain or create dialogue.

Darcie used to belong to one for 3 years and she says that she left because she believes like we do that you are a true person.

The two Leondrea was referring to are the Zen Lillies(Paris) and Les FilleZ de Zen Lill(Marseille). Some of our club, Zen Lillies, are upset because Ma Qin didn’t mention their names. We are only 309, a much smaller club than Les FilleZ de Zen Lill, so the apparent slight is being taken personal.

I only know the names of presidents of the smaller clubs that meet secretly to discuss the international topics discussed on the blog. But I hear that the regular “Ruth” has been identified by two of the larger clubs in Rennes and Toulouse.

The competition is fierce because of the diversity of the posters. Some believe that it is merely the CIA making points across the globe.

Some have expressed interest in hackers who have attacked clubs in Lyon and Besancon. They claim that they know who Michelle really is.

Most of us because of that have gone underground. The rumors that spread when Michelle shut down for a year were incredibly clandestine in nature.

Many were angry and acted out by divulging intimacies that occurred between members.

Some even faked appearances by you Ruth, and Michelle to draw out members and/or to give their clubs special status.

The Howie clubs are always claiming that he has beamed in especially for the members of their particular club.

There are others all over Europe and the Middle East I am told.

  40. Eric Says:

Perry#38, why don’t you inform christians in the path of Hermine that it is okay to touch downed power lines and drive in the flooding because Jesus Christ will protect them.
