Tap, Tap, Tap….

I am so happy it is the weekend. I need a bit of pampering. You know…well at least you women know how much a mani/pedi can uplift one’s state of mind. Although I know some men out there that enjoy this kind of pampering too. I love a man who takes care of himself. Ah…it is the simple things in life that bring such a smile to my face.
And right this moment I am smiling. The rain has cleared the air, and the birds outside my window are chatting away. The sound these two are making I could listen to all day. The sound of nature, the world’s symphony. So much more relaxing than the sound of technology: me tapping on my keyboard. Like the sound of my walk: fast, hard and purposeful, I’ve been told that I hit the keyboards with the same determination. Not exactly the soothing sounds of singing birds….just me, this little bird, tapping away conversing with you. :)
Speaking of tapping and technology….texting is the big thing these days. The ‘sneaky’ way of having a conversation with no one else privy to the info, except the texter and the one receiving the text. Remember Morse code? Another type of tapping technology, way before texting. So if one had a contest to get a bit of information from one person to another which do you think would reach it’s destination faster? Texting or Morse code? Would todays’ technology beat out technology from 170 years ago? Watch the video and you’ll discover yourself.

Hi Robert: Great to hear from you again. That article you posted was priceless and the responder was brill in his comment. His response was just so logical…I loved it. Too bad this ‘spectacularly beautiful, articulate and classy’ girl didn’t have enough upstairs to figure that one out herself. I’m sure she get it now. Too funny. Thanks for adding some humor to my day.
Hi Bob: I have tried most of those ‘secret foods’ and have a liking for many of them. The only one that I can’t quite aquire a taste for is the maca. I tried it the first time at one of my fave raw food restaurants “Cafe Gratitude”. They mixed it in a smoothy. It was pretty good and since I had heard that it was really good for me, I decided to buy a package of the maca. Unfortunately 6 months later I still have quite a bit left. I love smoothies but it changes the taste pretty dramatically and kind of ruins my love for fruit smoothies. Hence, the reason I have so much left. Maybe I’ll give it another go. :)
Hi Martha: You’re not doing anything wrong. It is just the luck of the draw I guess. Thanks for the kudos and for the honest appreciation. So girlfriend….I don’t expect everyone to love all of the writes but I do appreciate you being a loyal reader. And I’m glad you get a good laugh every now and then. I do too which I love about my blog. It can get very heavy and a break of laughter is a good antidote for all that is going on these days.
Zen Lill: Mia is doing good – thanks for asking. I still see her almost every day. She is such a love. Happy the little kitty has your daily love too.
Peter & Anna: I am learning so much about Guam through your posts. And I am delighted that your peeps are tuning in too. It makes me laugh when I read that some of your readers wish you had chosen a more toned down blog site – yep…there is a lot of ‘tone’ being thrown around here. I dig it. Obviously they must too if they keep reading. And Peter, you are not being rude – I know you appreciate the forum. Hafa adai.
Hi Todd: Caught your comment on ‘Are You Prepared?’ Thanks for the interesting info on the ‘filter straw’. Very cool. I want to check it out.
Okay peeps…I have more to say but I will reserve it for another day. I need to post so I can pamper :) Peace out…..
Gratefully your blog host,
michelle

EXPENSIVE DEVICE FOR ARTHRITIS TREATMENT MAY NOT BE WORTH THE MONEY
The FDA recently cleared a light system called DPL Therapy System, from LED Technologies, LLC, for the relief of arthritis stiffness and pain. Light-based pain relief? It sounded too good to be true. The FDA cleared it — fine — but does it work? I took my question to a few experts.
DOES DPL RELIEVE PAIN?
According to Daily Health News contributing editor Andrew L. Rubman, ND, the light-emitting diodes in the DPL device penetrate tissue and it’s therefore feasible that it could stimulate circulation, speed cell repair and soothe pain — he says that it is used successfully in Europe, based on Scandinavian and Western European research supporting its benefits, but has not yet caught on here in the US.
Eric L. Matteson, MD, MPH, chair of the department of rheumatology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, agreed that the DPL probably does help reduce the pain of arthritis — though in his view, the reason likely has more to do with the warmth generated by the lights than the lights themselves. “It’s a penetrating light,” Dr. Matteson says, “but it basically uses heat for relief of joint aches and pains.” Dr. Matteson points out that heat is a well-established way to relieve pain — the warmth increases blood flow to an area, which can also help facilitate healing.
Dr. Matteson noted that while such lights as the DPL may be somewhat helpful, you can get significant pain relief at a far lower price… the DPL costs $350, while a quality electric heating pad is about $35.

My girlfriend says that she was on a space ship and that she will be returning in 30 days. She told me to check out this site if I didn’t believe her.
That was 21 days ago. I have been pouring though this blog’s history. Where are the fucking aliens? Who believes this shit? I think this blog has warped my girlfriend’s mind. This shit is dangerous.
She claims that her new assertiveness is the result of her trip “upstairs.” While I will acknowledge that everyone says she is different. I know that she has been down here for the whole time she claims that she was away. We were intimate when she was away. Now she says sex with me doesn’t interest her. How would she know if she won’t make love with me any more?
I told her mother that she needs to see a shrink. Her mother thinks that she might have fallen an injured her head. 22 days ago she was in love with me. But for the past 21 days she won’t let me touch her.
I think that what your blog is doing is very unhealthy for the young mind. She is only 24 and has a very promising future in medicine. She has been accepted at Stanford’ Medical College. Why would she give that up for some fantasy?
You need to print a retraction of this girlz shit.
