Bye Bye 2009…

Posted by Michelle Moquin on December 31st, 2009

Good Morning!

First of all I want to say Happy New Year to all of my readers who partied hard last night bringing in the New Year ahead of us here- I hope that you were safe and had a ton of fun!

Secondly, I am excited to report that if you haven’t seen the Huffington Post this morning, let me be the first to tell you that the article I posted yesterday about ‘moving your money to community banks’, is the headliner. I am so excited that people are heeding this advice and taking immediate action.

Zen Lill: Yes, I am speaking to those too that only have checking accounts to pay their bills, so you will not get any wrath from me :)  You don’t have to have a lot of money to move it from one of the biggies to a local community bank. It seemed pretty obvious to me if one read the article and watched the video, but hey some people only see what they want to see.

On a side note, I wanted to thank you for recognizing my continual efforts and support for women. I appreciate your thoughts and comment.  I hope that your stop doing list goes well for you. But remember one can still be zen and change the way one does things. As always be gentle with yourself. Your ‘ways’ have served you well in the past; and it seems they don’t work for your present life now. The fact that you recognize this is half the battle in making the changes you want to make. Let me know how I can support you in any way.

So..Back to the topic at hand….

And as Thomas pointed out: ‘Seems easy enough to me!’ Yes Thomas - It is easy.  Thank you for your comment. You obviously saw the obvious and are heeding the message – Me too! Until you chimed in, I was beginning to wonder.

Anna: I wanted to get back to you from the other day. No worries. I know that if someone wants to track me down there are ways. Not that I feel you tracked me down :) I just don’t worry about things like that. Believe me though, I do keep in mind the mantra “Trust in Allah, but tie up your camel!”

Anyway, no, I did not receive what you sent me, I’m sorry. I am aware that if my blog is difficult to access, then other means to connect with me are probably compromised too. I don’t know when you sent it but I will keep an eye out over the next few days. Maybe luck will be on our side. :)  Happy New Year! I hope that you brought in the new year well last night!

Sandra: You made some very valid points. You remind me of me. You seem to ask a lot of questions and you make good sense. And your comment, ‘Greed made him blind to common sense.’ is a common problem. Greed is strictly for the moment. Common sense stretches into the future. ‘What else can he do’, you ask?  He can stick with you – Your husband is lucky to have a wife that cares and can point our these things to him when his greed gets the best of him.

Anon: Your Thanksgiving Tiger was cute, very cute. :)

Mike: In regards to your article from Sue Lowden, thanks for posting it. I never seem to make the time to find and read articles such as the one you posted. It’s enough to keep up and support the issues I want to support. But it is always helpful to  know what scare tactics are being touted, so thank you.  And they have been at full bore. It is never ending. Keep posting them here, if you can. I appreciate it, and I’m sure my readers do too.

Readers: I’m going to end my post with wishing everyone a wonderful, celebratory, eve of the new year, filled with all that you desire it to be. We have a new year coming and I love it, because it is the mark of new beginnings. Bring it in big, and be safe whatever you do. You are all in my thoughts…

Lots of Love…

Gratefully your blog host,

Hi Mischa and everyone else…buy-bye 2009 and welcome 2Kten!!

I’m great again, I mistook having moment yesterday, probably bc it lasted more than 12 hours, I’m not prone to feeling funks that last anymore so it caught me out…though, sigh, I know what must be fine in the next few months and yeah the Zen has served me well. The weird thing for me was why I mightve been projecting anything less than the best outcome for the future, strange but I guess it happens, I’m going to release my need to even know why it surfaced bc I am very fortunate today, some things just tend to sort themselves…maybe we can have a chat soon…miss hearing your voice anyway : ) I appreciate the supportive sentiment.

just thought of it – maybe you can so a podcast sometime so you can share that with everyone else? People tell me I have a nice cadence or smooth delivery, etc…I think both you and Doug do also. That was part of my attitude exploration yesterday night…I’ve been around a lot of people lately that talk very loud/soft, very fast/slow and it’s more a criticism of me that I can’t hang better so I appreciate when people have voices and laughs that set my inner workings at ease, not sure if that makes sense bc I know I can be sound sensitive and unless you are it can sound bizarre : )

…Musch, sometimes people misunderstand due to their own world view, I’m clear and I’m moving my dough on Monday, been thinking about it for a few weeks now after a chat with someone about a community bank that did not and would not participate in ugly practices that would screw anyone over, ’nuff said!

Catch you next year (I love saying that!) Luv, Zen Lill

Sorry for the typos, on iPhone, hope the meaning was clear despite the glaring mistakes : ) Luv, ZL

  3. Doug Says:

Caio to 2009! Be safe all!

  4. HOWIE Says:

Yes, some people see only what they want to see. That includes our Host.

Have loads of fun, wealth and health in 2010. I am sure you will.
