Sports Fans: Don’t Be Scammed

Good morning.
No one likes being scammed, and no one expect to, but I find that it happens more and more today. So many people try to get away with anything and everything to make a quick buck or two, and in these challenging economic times, people fall for it and they get scammed. Don’t be scammed. Forewarned is forearmed.
We read about getting scammed by medical websites in yesterday’s comments, here’s another one for you sport lovers.
Ticket and Lottery Scammers Score in World Cup 2010

Although World Cup 2010 means different things to different people (depending on your taste in sports), in the soccer world it means South Africa in June, when 32 nations, including the United States (Group C, if you’re interested), meet to compete for the Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) championship.
And, of course, it also means ticket scam time. You only have to look at this year’s Winter Olympics Games in Vancouver and even the recent Miami Super Bowl for evidence that ticket scams for major events are still a big money spinner for the crooks.
Hundreds, possibly thousands of winter sports fans lost out in Vancouver after some of the major ticket resellers were hoodwinked into “buying” $3 million worth of tickets from a non-existent supplier. And Super Bowl ticket scam victims included a woman who sent a $2,000 money wire for tickets that never arrived.
Since this is a Snippets issue of Scambusters, this week we’re also spotlighting another scam that targets a group of enthusiasts — this time, inventors.

FTC Warning
Here at Scambusters, we warned in our special issue on the Top 10 Scams of 2010 that World Cup 2010 would be a target.

Now, the US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has issued a ticket scam alert for the World Cup 2010, warning of both bogus websites and forged tickets.
And British police say they have closed down at least 100 phony websites so far. They believe thousands of fans may already have handed over their money to these soccer scam artists.
Other sites, says the FTC, offer packages providing hotels and transportation but don’t actually have any tickets – though you may assume they do.
According to the International Consumer Protection and Enforcement Network (ICPEN) — a group of consumer protection agencies from around the world including the FTC — consumers can take several steps to avoid ticket sales scams for major sports events.
They should:
* Check with the event organizer, promoter, or venue where the event will be held to learn how and when tickets are being sold. FIFA’s website has specific procedures for distributing and validating tickets to the World Cup 2010.

* Be aware that the official logo and trademarks (or look-a-likes) of the event can be imitated to try to convince you that a bogus website, or ticket, is official.
* Read what others say about the seller. Search the Internet to find out about other people’s experiences.
* Be skeptical of sites that say they “guarantee” tickets. Some companies sell package deals without having the tickets in hand. Even if the seller intends to get the tickets later,they may not be able to.
* Always print a copy of your order for your files.
Reports are also surfacing about the sale of fake World Cup lottery tickets and advance fee lottery scams in which victims are told they’ve won a prize in a World Cup 2010 draw but can only collect if they pay taxes and handling charges first.

Beware also of emails and online promotions that say you can “watch live games online.” They offer supposed subscriptions that you pay for and/or tell you to download a special High Def video player.
You end up either out of pocket or with a piece of scareware or spyware on your PC.
There may well be some genuine broadcasters offering streaming coverage of the championship. Others may show recordings or highlights.
Our advice is to check with known, reputable outfits like ESPN and other major TV companies that offer streaming services.
Finally, the experience of at least one couple whose son was in the Winter Olympics provides another timely warning of a possible scam that could show up in South Africa for the World Cup 2010.
They paid $8,000 to rent a condo that didn’t exist. The same con artists apparently also took a $2,500 deposit from another victim. Best to rent property through reputable agencies.

Bravo Doug! This is why you are called the Main Dude. Why haven’t you told everyone this before? Think of all the blog readers who go to bed every evening thinking “Anonz will save us”.
The Systems have collapsed. Therefore there is no way out of this mess wihtout a complete change.
I am not sure how to achieve this, however, you have explained why Anonz is not a Paladin. He usurps the masses while giving them hope for a positive change. All the while he is laughing at everyone and laughing all the way to his vault.
I totally agree that no matter what kind of Government — The Monetary System, is a means of controlling governments. The controllers of the system are the Anonzes.
The monetary system is unsustainable. It has lost its effectiveness. AS you say, “We must have a global paradigm shift“.

Anonz may think he runs the system, but he is a prisoner of it just as we are. He himself said, that if he doesn’t do it someone else will. That logic runs thin in actual debates of subject. It’s like on the playground when the teacher scolds a kid for doing something rash and the kid replies, “Well, Jimmy did it.” Or “They started it!”
The interesting thing of saying Anonz is a paladin is basically stating that he is a warrior for the system. It is just that the societal fantasy encroaches on the truth. The Latin word “palatinus” is reference to an official of the Roman Emperor. These men were connected to the imperial palace on the Palatine Hill and (as the Repugnicats are doing now with their re-writing of history, as noted with the most recent state board of education rulings in TX over history books) over time this word came to refer to other high-level officials in the imperial and royal courts.
So, yes, in this sense, Anonz is a Paladin. One who works with high level officials. However, since corporatocracy has taken credence over governmental rule throughout the world, he doesn’t work FOR high level officials, but WITH them. Or they with him. The dog chases the tail. The kings, and despots of old were replaced with governments and monarchs, which in turn have slowly dissolved their true power into becoming slaves to the corporations. Anonz is not even the ruler in that case, unless all of is corporations are privately held. He may be CEO, or COB, however, when he goes, someone will fill his shoes.
Society must begin to understand that we ALL are slaves to an inhuman and inhumane system that has MORE rights on a global scale than anyone or anything else. It can manufacture its power (money) from thin air with means no accountability (removal from the gold standard). As the system continues, and the dollar dwindles to be replaced with some new global currency, the people will continue to go to their cubicles and computers to manipulate money that flows electonically to the “people” or entities that control it. The entity is the true control. Those people who run the entities may be the only people who have the power to change the system as it stands at this time. However, due to the rules of the stockholders that profit must be made at all costs, these people running things don’t even have the power to change things.
It is the nightmare of AI(Artificial Intelligence -which exists by the by..). Will computers begin ruling humans? Based on this means of science and societal progress this is not far away. But, as those computers allow the “freedom” for man, now known as unemployment, and society begins to look at that freedom and the ability to maximize the return of ideas from man within that “unemployed” environment to capitalize on his ideas for the GOOD of SOCIETY as a whole, and not for a corporate profit, the wheel will continue to turn. It is then that governments must recognize their true place and allow science to become a resource for the betterment of humanity rather than a tool to be used for corporate profit, or the wheel will continue to turn.
And as Anonz says, better me than him running things. I want to be ruler of my world as I am the only one I can trust.
He’s right. Absolute power corrupts absolutely.
I do not negate the many, many things of good that he is doing and has done for people. All the while, continuing to play a failed game that perpetuates his own need to keep rationalizing his need to continue to do the things he does to help people. That is his own prison.
Carnegie, being Anonz in the early days, did great work and created great foundations for the world that continue today. Rockefeller, the same. But, they are also the orchestrators of this system. Which Anonz and his attorney’s continue to self perpetuate.
It is the world that exists. As I stated its inherent beginnings stem from negativity and debt creation to government insolvency to indentured servitude. Corporations do not have a government to uphold themselves to. They will simply move to another country and destroy whatever country can be manipulated by means of debt for labor.
The system is what has failed. I’m sure Anonz has to rationalize many transgressions to have himself put in harms way. However Paladin it may seem to others, as well as himself, his transgressions still continue. He is his own hamster on the wheel.

I appreciate your difference of opinion and await response from AH as eagerly as you do.
Btw, and for the record, I have never reported on here that I thought Anonz a ‘paladin’ (too high a pedestal to set him up for a fall, I don’t do that for I have fallen from high pedestals, it’s not fun for anyone involved) or wrote ‘my panties are wet’ (sorry, ladies, for me that would just be a tacky approach, those things are best noticed in person along with my totally dilated eyes, reportedly they are soulful and bedroomish when aroused, but enough about that) or a lot of things taken as the female consensus (I’m not your averaghe female’ and I think you all have noticed that as well as any ‘in person’ i.e. off blog, male or female person has)…so without defending or negating anything I have said in the past, you or any other person can voice whatever you’d like, I’ll let the man speak for himself (or not) and I’ll just take in the info he reports, Doug the main friggin’ ultra-sharp dude reports (and monetary system owns Anonz to a certain degree also, don’t forget that) and I will assimilate it all, sigh, it all does make the case for living ‘off the grid’ doesn’t it…maybe my exit to Bali to go live with monkeys in paradise isn’t a bad idea.

A.I. certainly does exist. So do many other Medical and Technological advances which have been kept secret from the masses. Many researched and developed by Human Corporations such as those owned by the Elite Anonzes and others given to us by Aliens for cooperating with them:
Genetic engineering; Cloning to replace broken parts without rejection; Cures to many Diseases including Cancer; Blue Tooth Electricity without being attached to the Grid; Suspended Animation so we may make it through the vast distances of the Cosmos.
Unfortunately, only the Elite have access to any of these scientific developements.
Once again “Absulute Power Corrupts Absulutely”.
Earth could be a Utopia if we all coolperated with each other. It hurts me when I see what the Human Brain is capable of yet greed keeps things for the privileged. That is where my anger comes from.

You flatter me with your attention to the history given to me by today’s white American attempting to make me a white man. I am not. My mother was an islander. her mother an African slave. My grandmother was the daughter of an African brought to the island to repopulate it after whites killed off all the men indigenous to the island because they refused to be slaves in their own country.
I did not attend a law school. I studied law on my own and made it us as I went along. I advised George Washington on all legal matters as his aid for four years in the army. One day I will tell you the true story about old horny George.
I used my serving as Washington’s legal adviser for those four years to persuade the New York Supreme Court to allow me take the bar exam without serving the three year internship normally required.
As I prepared to take the bar, I wrote a book to teach others what they needed to know to become lawyers. That book became the standard text in New York legal studies for decades. By the way I passed the bar and started practicing law immediately, except I used it to persuade Bob(Robert Morris), Congress’s Superintendent of Fiance, and persuade some of your incompetent forefathers to allow me to draft the peace treaty between us and the British.
Enough tooting my own horn. I have checked history and noticed that white america diminished my accomplishments in the invent it was ever discovered that I was black Like they did my name sake Alexander Dumas.
Howie, you posed a question with this statement. “AH, when you became Secretary of Treasury and signed the Constitution and founded the United States Mint and the Bank of New York, did you imagine the corruption we see today?”
The simple answer is Yes.
Howie, you posed your second question with this statement. “Did you imagine that the wealth of this nation would be held in the hands of the 4% Super Elite of the population while the other 96% was being foreclosed on and becoming the slaves of the Elite?”
The simple answer would be yes, but I think you deserve a more detailed one.
The “founding fathers” that your history books makes so much to do about were as devious and greedy as any Anonz. There were only four of us who were truly trying to found a nation described in the preamble.
The rest including George Washington were “landed gents” who tricked the rest of those that formed the armies to fight for freedom were trying to protect a business that the British was trying to get their fair share of the profits.
The founding fathers figured that if they could control a country they could keep all the profits for themselves. The original constitution was one that gave only rights to the landed gentry. I, Bennie(Benjamin Franklin) and two others convinced them that unless the constitution was more inclusive and gave more rights to those without property they would not take up arms against the British.
Those Anonzs charged us with devising a document that would persuade the masses to take up arms. Even then they refused to give any rights to anyone but males that were not bonded or non white.
My point is less than 4% were the “Super Elite” who drafted the constitution to ensure that they had a country to protect them from prosecution by the british for theft from the citizens in their colonies.
The constitution of the United States of America was a sham from start to finish. Read it carefully and you will see that it means its benefits for a select few while using flowery language to motive the scammed that they would be fighting for something the “Super Elite” never intended for them to have.
They tried to convince Washington to become king. I convinced him that they only wanted him to be king to establish a monarchy. After the country accepted a monarchy, he would quickly be disposed of and their representative would take the throne and establish a kingdom for them and theirs.
George heeded my warning and refused to accept a crown. It saved his life and the federation. Today you have a nation of non kings because of a man’s wish to live.
Anonz is correct when he tells you what must be done to correct the situation that allows the very few to control the rest. but the fact is he knows that the personal bias of the white race will never allow the others to gain parity with them.
They will always vote their own self interest over the nation’s. So whose fault is it if it is not the voters? I await your answer because you are very intelligent and you know the answer.
I see not difference between the country that I helped found and the one today. The same few are dividing the many to keep control over the masses.
I travel with Adam to see it there was a point in history that this nation I love so very much could have had a chance to be the dream I had when we four drafted the Constitution. I have seen only more of the same.
It seems there is very little chance of things getting better until the new elected officials begin to appoint judges that are not looking or an appointment to a higher court if not outright cash.
I do see hope. And hope is what this nation was founded on. The hope that this country would be a free land for all the world’s oppressed. We four hoped that out of the scheme of the few to fleece the many, the many would rise up and take control of their destiny.
Obama and many others who strive for the same vision of freedom and equality for all may one day prevail. That is my hope. Until then I will remain tin the past.

You fucked up on this one. Andrew Jackson was an original nazi. He started the states control thing because he realized that on a state level white men could vote away anyone else’s rights. T
This is the man who when the Supreme Court ordered him to honor the peace treaties that the US government he refused to allow the Executive branch to enforce an edict of the Court.
He was an murderer on the order of Hitler. He carried and bragged about he purses he gave his women folk that were made for the tits of still living savages.
He use the same techniques that modern day republicans us to keep white men in power. He was notorious for funding ship captains that filled the hull of their ships with standing room only slaves from Africa, because it was cheaper to just toss the dead ones over board than to return to port with less than a profitable load of slaves.
It the federal government that protects minorities from the tyranny of the mafority. It is the federal government that protects the majority and the rest of the people from the misconduct of corporations and the fifty rich.
Get a clue! Anonz is trying to tell you and that jealous Howie where to direct your efforts. Take back your country from the crooked white men you have quietly allowed to be elected year after year.
Why are you men focusing so much on Anonz? Why should he not profit from a crooked system you either put into place with your votes or apathy.

I begged to differ with you on your diatribe on the fallacies of the present day monetary system. Perhaps because you do not have the academic credentials to fully understand the role a government’s ability to create money has on its ability to stimulate the growth of its country.
The US became a world power because of the brilliance of those like Alexander Hamilton. Without his outstanding monetary system we would still be a third rate country like Mexico, Russia or China.
It is the employment of that system that provides the money for industry, textiles, farming, etc, and the research and development that catapulted the United States above the rest of the world.
Do you think Silicon Valley would exist without our exceptional monetary system. Go work on an MBA before you attempt to discuss what a little knowledge makes you a dangerous commenter to yourself and others who would emotionally grab on to such a bad idea.
The system as set up by Alexander Hamilton was basterized by the boys(me included) who put reagan into office. But we could not have done it without the cooperation of the white bigots that were anxious to make money from the discrimination of OTWs.
We whites love to be on top. So do not be surprises that we rich whites use that greed and bigotry to exploit the situation for our own personal benefit. You have only yourselves to blame.
Get serious about countering the propaganda that we use to scare and motivate the bigots and greedy to continue to support our fleecing of their deserving asses.
I can not bring myself to address Howie’s senseless ravings , but you should do more homework before you tackle a subject that is beyond the basic understanding of the unschooled in the area.

You have to be very naive not to know that if there is profit to be made someone with rush in to fill the vacant entrepreneur’s spot. Hell, Doug the investor rushes in to take the stupid man’s place. If that were not true we wouldn’t have had so many ruined investors.
Anonz is correct when he states that if he dosen’t fleece your dumb ass someone else will with the same scheme that you would have bought from him.

I have no reason to eat my heart out. I have no jealousy for this man Anonz. I simply know more about him than you will ever find out. I also know that you probably never heard of the word paladin until you read it on this blog.
Don’t act like such a smart ass. You have much to learn before you reach Doug’s level of education.
He has many great points in his argument against Anonz and they are not as simple as “If not Anonz, then someone else will fleece you” — speaking of dumb asses I don’t believe you have a Ph.D in Economics either.

It does seem that we view it in different ways. I understand the role of a government’s ability to create money has on its ability to stimulate the growth of its country. I also understand that they are able to create money out of thin air, thus the stimulation to the economy is granted albeit with an ever increasing amounts of inflation. This perpetuates the need to continue the cycle. It also continues in the necessary propagation of continued debt and indentured servitude for generations, of numerous countries, to come.

Without his outstanding monetary system we would still be a third rate country like Mexico, Russia or China. I didn’t say anything otherwise. Although, I did state that the government does this to the detriment of the masses to the benefit of the few.

I know that Silicon Valley wouldn’t exist without our monetary system. I don’t need an MBA to know this. I also know that the system was set up by Alexander Hamilton, and agree with you it was bastardized by the boys(you included) who put Reagan into office. I also agree that you could not have done it without the cooperation of the white bigots that were anxious to make money from the discrimination of OTWs.
I also agree that the whites love to be on top. And I am not surprised that the rich whites use that greed and bigotry to exploit the situation for their own personal benefit. Where I have a difference of opinion is where the blame lies. The rules of the game are quite stacked and my point was that it makes no matter who is in office as the way the game is played. You’ve said it yourself that everyone has a price. If this is the case, and we have seen this recently with Stupak and Bunning how only one man, who is not the President, can rattle the cage. This process creates a perfect avenue for corruption. Putting blame solely on the voters is not the whole equation.
I see the propaganda and scare tactics daily and am sickened how easily it motivates the bigots and greedy, as well as, watching the fleecing of the asses of the masses, not just the deserved.

All of that may be true about Jackson, but that had nothing to do with my point and holds no position in the debate.
I understand the Governments position is to protect the minority from the majority, but we can all agree that it is the minority (top 4%) that wield all of the power.

I do know that if there is profit to be made someone will rush in to fill the vacant entrepreneur’s spot. In fact, that was part of the point of my discussion. The point is that people must do this because of the design of the system. A system that is inherently flawed.
The point is, this is not the only system that has to be played. It just happens to be the game on the table at this point in time. This is not to say that things can’t change. Although, voting different in Nov. isn’t going to make that kind of change. The corporations will not allow that to happen. But, in 5000 years from now, things might be quite different.

My argument is not taken to be AGAINST Anonz. I did not mean for any personal attack to him. It is pointed to the system. I mentioned that he was just a cog, as we are in the machine. His cogness is substantially different than the rest of us and plays quite a different role.

I have read and understand what you are saying. He is trapped in his position just as we are. I just do not consider him a Paladin or knight. If you knew what I know from Carr, you would not have the slightest respect for this man. he is truly despicable. For the man with all the cash one could possibly need, his hobbies and lifestyle come into question. If you new about them, You would not think too much of him as a Human Being either. He could be the Poster Boy for “Absolute Power Corrupts Absolutely”
He tells us how to change the system (game) and in the same breath, he mentions that the system (game) is impossible to change.
Doug, what would you do if one of your Companies had the cure to many ailments? Would you hold them back for yourself and possibly some Elite friends?, or share them and even profit from them? Would you sell another drug that is well known yet when taken for long periods, has horrible side effects that other similar drugs do not. Would you get into warped and sick hobbies just out of boredom? He is beyond reproach — why not. This again does not make him a hero.
I do not enjoy being told that I am owned. I certainly am not. You may be but not me. Nor am I a mat for him to wipe his feet on.
Anonz, you can try, but you will not like the outcome.
I have found out about his character. He is certainly not a noble person. If he were poor, he would be spending life in prison. He has a way with words, he has charisma. He has the power to change the way people think about him. A little positive publicity goes a long way.
All Empires have fallen in History — no matter how large and powerful. So will this one.

You flatter me by simply responding to my questions. I feel that out of every regular on this blog, you would be the perfect candidate to ask the questions I have. You have a way with words that give me a clear understanding of how the Elite became that way. After all, your were one of the Founding Fathers of our Great Nation. Who could give me a better answer to my questions.
It matters not if you are half Black. What I am interested in is your experience and knowledge of Political and Financial institutions. You were there from their inceptions in the U.S.
I also like your spirit — writing a Law Book before you were officially a Lawyer and advising George Washington on all legal matters as his aid for 4 years in the Army. I look forward to hearing about “old horney George”. You certainly have reason to toot your own horn.
Alexander Dumas is still a famous author. His books ‘The Three Musketeers’ and ‘the Man in the Iron Mask’ as well as others, have been best sellers and mandatory reading in schools across trhe World.
I have read Doug’s comments from which I learned many things. Carr is not Human. He sees a much broader picture and finds Anonz entertaining even though the word despicable came up a few times, he finds Anonz entertaining.
The things I heard about him could make your skin crawl. Since he is a thrill seeker, he enjoys getting his hands dirty by being where the action is. He has the means of rebounding from being wounded so he does not worry about it too much. He does own Genetic Engineering as well as Drug Companies which have the means of curing things that only the Super Elite are privy to. Why share them with the peons of the Earth when fortunes of money can be made on these discoveries in the future?
Have you heard of the Bilderberg group. They believe in One World Order, Eugenics, and there are hundreds of conspiracy theories about them. Mr. Anonz is certainly a member, if not leader of this group of about 150 of the Worlds wealthiest Megalomaniacs. They are rumored to hold the cure for Cancer and many other World-changing discoveries. They keep this all to themselves, the Super Elite.
I will write you again tomorrow because I am fatigued at the present time. I have Diabetes, Heart Disease and am prone Grand Mal Epileptic seizures. A tumor has been spotted in my chest growing from my Thymus Gland. It is called a Thymoma and is about the size of a walnut and must be operated on in the next few weeks. I have a 50/50 chance of it being malignant (Cancer).
Mr. Hamilton, I have left my without covering the many questions I asked yesterday in my former letter to you. Please allow me time to rest and I will write to you tomorrow about them.

Howie you and Doug are the typical males. Where a simple solution will do you philosophize. It is as simple as Anonz said it was.
We do not have to tear down the system because a few crooks have been successful in manipulating it.
If you have a clogged drain, you two will pontificate on eliminating the piping system in the US. Why not just hire a competent plumber.
Anonz gave the soundest advice. You don’t have to tamper with the system if you eliminate the crooks and the ways they manipulate. Why not just regulate.
To get regulation one needs to elect representatives who are willing to regulate the industries. Concentrating on electing better representatives is a lot more efficient than getting rid of the system.
It is not the system that is broke it is the people who are manipulating it to fleece the rest of us.

Do you notice that I am not competing for any Women on this blog. That is not my interest. nor is jealousy. Nor is strokingmy ego.
My desire is to open up the eyes of readers who believe that a con man such as Anonz is capable of telling you He Owns You and that voting will change everything. He has both Democrats and repubklicans in his pockets and it makes no difference how we vote. He wins by owning both sides and profiting from them both.
