Spammers On Obama’s Website
Posted by Michelle Moquin on March 15th, 2010
Even Barack Obama’s website isn’t safe from spammers and people trying to rip you off. I, perhaps like many of you, are on Obama’s network with a profile etc. Well, this morning I woke up to a person requesting my friendship in the network. I thought, ‘cool’ – Anyone who is on Obama’s network I must certainly share some like-mindedness. I was interested in who the person was who wanted to befriend me. Then I began to read the message. The way it was addressed to me was my first clue. And the rest of the letter was proof of what I thought.
Dearest Beloved One,
Thanks for your reply, I will like to request for your assistance, i believe that you will not betrayed my trust which i am going to lay on you. I am Miss Suzan Sangare ,25years old and the only daughter of my late parents MR. and MRS Samuel SANGARE .My father was a highly reputable business magnet-(a cocoa merchant)who operated in the capital of Ivory coast during his days. It is sad to say that he passed away mysteriously in France during one of his business trips abroad year 14th.June 2006 .Though his sudden death was linked or rather suspected to have been masterminded by an uncle of his who poisoned him because of his wealth and properties. But God knows the truth! My mother died when I was just 10 years old, and since then my father took me so special. Before his death on June 14th 2006 my father ‘WILL’ to me the sum of Nine million six hundred thousand United State Dollars (USD.6) left in a Bank here in Ivory Coast. I am just 25 years old and a university undergraduate and really don’t know what to do. This is because I have suffered a lot of set backs as a result of incessant political crisis here in Ivory coast. The death of my father actually brought sorrow to my life. Dear, I am in a sincere desire of your humble assistance in this regards to move the money to your country for investment .Your suggestions and ideas will be highly regarded. Now permit me to ask these few questions: -
1. Can I completely trust you?
2. What percentage of the total amount in question will be good for you?
Consider this and get back to me as soon as possible.
Thank you so much.
My sincere regards,
Suzan

Readers: Really I can not imagine anyone falling for such bs. And the fact that they contacted me through Obama’s website was a little surprising, and disconcerting. I did a bit of research and discovered that one can have access to profiles that are recently created, updated, near me, etc. I suppose that is how she found me.
So I tried to find this Suzan Sangare who is part of the Obama network. But to my surprise when I went searching for her, she was nowhere to be found. What I did notice was that there were many older people on Obama’s network. They are prime targets for people like this to prey on.
I denied her friendship but now I’m wondering if that was the smartest move. I could’ve befriended her and then reported her, but now I can’t even find her. I’m not giving up. There has to be a way that I can still report her. If any of you have come across this on Obama’s website, please blog me. Thanks.
In regards to yesterday’s write: Interesting….not much was said.
However, what was said by Horace to ‘A Nobody’ was right on. What I was going to say was how Anonz addresses us adds fuel to my fire, and perhaps that is why he addresses us in the way he does.
But Horace’s words, “One may be trying to keep you sleep and one maybe trying to wake you up”, not to mention his entire comment, is much more thought out and well said. Great observation and articulation Horace.
Emily: You got a chuckle out of me.
Marie: Your little didleys, that’s what I call them :), are quite amazing. How can you contain yourself from laughing out loud or gasping at such stupid remarks and questions?
Lastly, greed over a great story is surfacing from my ‘loyal’(?) readers. With all this back and forth about who owns what, that appears on my blog, let me reiterate that all material posted on my blog becomes the sole property of my blog. If you want to reserve any proprietary rights don’t post it to my blog. I will prominently display this caveat on my blog from now on to remind those who may have forgotten this notice.
Gratefully your blog host,

Hi Mischa, just the Dearest beloved one sounds serioulsy bullshitty. The older people I know are already paranoid that people are to screw them out of money, etc… or myabe the ones I know are hovering on the edge of dementia bc they’d never fall for this, but it’d been proevn that older people often do fall prey to scam antics like this one.
Howie and Al, love the Ray Davies lyrics, made me LOl and now I’m going to check youtube to see a video if there is one!
Re: Anonz, I’ll only say two more things: DON’T SHOOT THE MESSENGER and then this oldie but goodie: WHO’S WATCHING THE WATCHERS? and I think the second one IS his point. He wrote 3 things to do 5 days ago, I reiterated it 4 days ago and Mischa reiterated 3 days ago, either do the 3 things to regulate the ‘watchers’ or don’t – stop bitching and start a revolution (saw that on a t-shirt yesterday and loved it)…
That’s my two – oh wait, I had a thought for the women of MM blog, it came to me the other day when I was thinking briefly about the ‘insomnia math’ I used to do (if I fall asleep now I can still get 3 and half hours…etc…) and I don’t do that anymore bc it ocurred to me one day that by doing that and verbalizing that I have ‘insomnia’ that my body and mind were ‘listening’ and learning more on how to stay that way. So today, try stating out loud to yourself (yes, out loud) or to another how your now enjoying good sleep, feeling stronger, etc…it has to feel true otherwise its a useless exercise but I guess what I’m trying to say is: don’t give additional energy to ‘insomnia’ or ‘your need to lose weight’ by discussing at length the ‘trials and tribulations’ of the issue at hand.
Believe me, bc I came to this conclusion by realizing that no amount of talking ever made it go away, only when I started exercising harder, living life more consciously and speaking out on whatever I wanted to more passionately (instead of editing for specific people) did my sleeping pattern improve and I didn’t speak out about having little sleep or lots of it. There’s a lot to be said for that ‘passion/passionately’ word, not just it’s sexual definition but in all its glorious defining qualities, pick yours…and that’s my two…three now… : ) Luv, Zen Lill

Hello Mr. Hamilton:
I have learned from you that greed and corruption are not new in the Political arena in this Country.
I agree with you that Anonz is correct when he tells us what must be done to correct the situation that allows the very few to control the rest. I also know that he knows that the personal bias of the white race will never allow the others to gain parity with them. So to me that is not giving feasible information for the non-Elite. The information given by Anonz is virtually impossible to change — without a geniuine revolution of the People.
They will always vote their own self interest over the nation’s. So whose fault is it if it is not the voters? I await your answer because you are very intelligent and you know the answer.
You say that You see no difference between the country that you helped found and the one today. The same few are dividing the many to keep control over the masses.
However, we now live in a Global Economy. Those in control do not just control the citizens of the U.S — they control the economies of the entire World. That is the difference between your time and mine.
American Corporations outsource their products to Nations where they can pay pennies to the laborers who manufacture their products and at the same time, the Jobs that were once her, are gone. Leaving entire cities such as Detoit to become poor with tremendous unemployment.
Steel and Coal from Pennsylvania which employed many jobs have disappeared to foreign nations such as Japan and China.
Electronics such as the Television are not manufactured in the U.S. anymore. Imagine how many jobs have dried up here due toi this.
You say that you seek a point in history when this nation could have had a chance to be the dream you had when the 4 of you draf6ted the Constitution.
You say that It seems there is very little chance of things getting better until the new elected officials begin to appoint judges that are not looking for an appointment to a higher court if not outright cash. You must have heard that the Supreme Court sold their vote along with their integrity for the chance to receive even more money from Corporations.
This sound like we are going backwards, not forward. Hope seems further away and the Elite have caused this.
I wish is could see the your hope — the hope which this nation was founded on. The hope that this country would be a free land for all the world’s oppressed.
You 4 hoped that out of the scheme of the few to fleece the many, the many would rise up and take control of their destiny. It is much more difficult for the many to rise up against the few Elite when they make the rules of the game as they go along and it is always in their favor.
I voted for Obama and had hope at the time. But now I see deeper and more corruption from the Republicans and the Anonzes of the World. How can we fight them without a Revolution?
AH, I too hope that Obama and others who strive for the same vision of freedom and equality for all may one day prevail, However it appears many things must change first.
AH, I have an appointment with a Vascular Surgeon Tomorrow. We will discuss the approach he will take to remove my tumor.
I am taking some time for myself to achieve mental composure. There are many things up in the air with me at the moment. I hope to hear from you again soon. It has always been a pleasure.

Press Briefing on the President’s Upcoming Trip to Guam, Indonesia and Australia
by Sabrina Salas Matanane
Guam – President Barack Obama will not only be speaking to the military while visiting Guam next week, he will speak to the island community. During a teleconference with media this morning, White House officials confirm the president will host a public event. He will be on island next Monday.
National Security Council Chief of Staff Denis McDonough stating while here he’ll not only visit with commanders, but also with local Guam authorities. “He’s going to make sure that we have a very realistic and sustainable and well thought out approach to Guam. He has a vision, which we refer to here as ‘One Guam, Green Guam’, which is apropos of many of the questions heretofore, designed to make sure that we’re investing in capabilities on Guam that are sustainable over the course of time, that are clean energy focused, that do take very concrete steps to reduce the high price of energy on the island, and obviously will lead to an end state that’s politically, operationally, and environmentally sustainable,” he said.
McDonough went on to say that while here he will take a hard look at the project and infrastructure needs on island along with base related construction that must take into accounts the needs of not only of an increased troop presence or Marine presence, but also the needs of the people of Guam, the impact on the environment, and the important role that the United States plays within the region. McDonough added that he wanted to make it clear that the Obama Administration has a commitment to the people of Guam and are going to make very common-sense and important investments in the infrastructure here.
Reacting to the teleconference, Congresswoman Madeleine Bordallo says the president’s visit will focus attention on Guam and our role in regional security. It is also an opportunity for the Obama Administration to engage with us on the issues important to our community. “I join the people of Guam in extending a warm Hafa Adai to the president and I hope that he takes the opportunity to meet our people and to learn what makes our community a special part of America,” she said.

Read the book “The Big Short” by Michael Lewis. It is about the bond market, where the big rip off happened.
He shows how the crooks developed a way to loan money to people who shouldn’t have been given loans. Then they developed a scheme to defraud the people who bought those bad loans by scamming them into trusting that those loans were backed by the good credit of the borrowers.
It is a very very good read.

How bigoted are white people? I am a wife of a member of the state representatives in Oklahoma. They and other white men meet regularly at our home to laugh about moving the picture of that “nigger” out of the place that has been reserved for the President of the country for as long as I can remember.
Of course those Presidents republican or democrats were white. I no longer provide refreshments for the group.

I wonder if Ray Davies would like to share some of his medicinal marijuana with me and his keyboard player…hmm, we can all hang in Bali together, dance to ‘I am an apeman’ and eat bananas and exotic drinks and not have a care about what the world is coming to…want to join us? : )
Interesting reading lately written by Anonz/Doug(main dude)/you and AH, it’s enough to get a person really thinking and researching all while trying to help get health care done and work for a living and have some fun in between, it’s a tough life but somebody’s gotta live it ; ) btw, fun is having some interesting convos about all of the above and oh do I enjoy bumping into a racist or sexist at a party, that just makes my night, talk about a gathering to remember : ) oh yeah…

I see the difficulty the aliens had with Argentina. The discovery of life deep within the miles of ice in Antarctica might explain their beef with the Argentineans for preventing them form extracting their experiments without interference.
I hope they take a cue to what is happening to Chile.

Virginia Thomas is the wife of Supreme Court Justice. The recent Supreme Court Justice, voted with his other four cronies that voted to allow his wife’s organization to give unlimited monies to any candidate or cause they wish.
Howie
This is an example of what Anonz was talking about when he discussed ownership. Owners aren’t worried about offending the sensibilities of those they own.
The Justices now feel free to criticize the President of the United States openly and the members feel free to vote to change the law to benefit people like Anonz. They are not even afraid that they will be impeached when their conflict of interest is made clear by the statements of their spouses who benefit directly by their vote.
If we don’t start listening to Anonz and stop fighting among ourselves or crying about being told the truth that we are owned, we will never get back the papers on ourselves.

HOSPITAL EMERGENCY ATTENTION-GETTER
Hospital patients are monitored in many ways, with all kinds of equipment and visits from doctors and nurses — but sometimes they and/or their loved ones just know something’s not right.
Now some hospitals are empowering patients to demand medical attention within minutes, providing an intervention that lies somewhere between a call-the-nurse button and the frenzied “code blue” that signals the need for immediate lifesaving measures.
Rapid response teams — also known as medical emergency teams — are now available to patients in nearly 3,000 US hospitals. I asked Kathy D. Duncan, RN, who has helped hospitals implement these programs as a faculty member of the Institute for Healthcare Improvement, to tell me about this initiative.
A NEW WAY TO GET HELP QUICKLY
The purpose of these rapid response teams is to get help to a deteriorating patient quickly even if the danger is not yet life-threatening.
Response teams are made up of several types of health-care professionals, often including an ICU nurse, a respiratory therapist and a physician, with the goal of providing bedside attention within five minutes. Results can be dramatic.
An Australian hospital reported that implementing rapid response teams reduced in-hospital deaths from cardiac arrest by 56% and overall deaths by 25%.
HOW TO USE A RAPID RESPONSE SYSTEM
If you or a loved one is admitted to the hospital, you should find out whether there’s a rapid response system and, if so, how to use it.
Some use a special hotline number accessible from all hospital phones, while others tap a nurse to summon the rapid response team. The premise is that all requests from patients and their caregivers will receive immediate attention.
I asked Duncan what types of situations merit using the system. She cautioned that this system should not be used to report problems that are merely uncomfortable or inconvenient — like an IV that’s pinching or late delivery of a meal
— and said that symptoms such as pain, pallor, clamminess, trouble with or altered breathing, confusion or garbled speech are good examples, because these may indicate that a patient’s health is deteriorating.
The first step should always be to bring the problem to the attention of the on-duty nurse, but if he/she doesn’t respond to your satisfaction and you are still worried, you may activate the rapid response system. “This should solicit ‘additional eyes’ to assess the patient,” said Duncan.
Rapid response systems empower patients and loved ones to speak up and be heard — but smart health-care professionals realize that this approach also empowers them
— getting input directly from a patient or someone close to him/her can alert doctors and nurses to subtle but perhaps very important signs of distress.
With very sick patients, warning signs may develop hours or even days before a life-threatening occurrence, such as internal bleeding or cardiac arrest. Reporting and addressing them promptly can mean the difference between life and death.

What the majority of commenters are trying to tell you is that you are allowing your visceral reaction to Anonz’s words cause you to ignore the facts.
March 15th, 2010 at 7:35 pm
Keith #9:
You hit the nail on the head. Argentina has been warned about their bases in the Antarctic. Aliens do not want interference in that area. If we just obey them, they can be very helpfull allies.
To blatantly ignore their existence is horse shit. The World leaders know about their existence and their destructive capabilities. They also have been given gifts by Aliens. It depends on cooperation.
In the past, when we agree to give them space to do their thing, they have been friendly. However they can show off their powers by causing Seismic, Volcanic, and Weather Disturbances anywhere they please. They are far advanced from us — Why would they even try to ignore them? I wouldn’t, would you?

I and my cousin got the very same scam. Well, for me it was a scam. My cousin eventually got a check for $5,000.00with instructions to cash it and send $1,929.00 via money order to an address.
He did. The check he got bounced and he is out more than $2,000.00. He feels so stupid.
Thanks Michelle for making it easier for the stupid to resist this scheme.

I found the article I think your comment was based on. It is truly disgusting that the Supreme Court Justices can decide for themselves whether to recuse themselves if there is a possible conflict of interest.
This article exposes the arrogance of these crooks. They are not afraid of the people. They boldly give themselves and the ones who have bought and paid for them what they paid for.
They truly do not fear the people. Anonz is right. We have to stand up to these bastards or we will never cast off the yokes of their ownership.

Justice’s wife launches ‘tea party’ group
The nonprofit run by Virginia Thomas, wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, is likely to test notions of political impartiality for the court.
Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas and his wife, Virginia. Speaking at the Conservative Political Action Conference, she said: Â?I have felt called to the front lines with you, with my fellow citizens, to preserve what made America great.Â? (Roger L. Wollenberg, UPI/Newscom / November 15, 2007)
Reporting from Washington
As Virginia Thomas tells it in her soft-spoken, Midwestern cadence, the story of her involvement in the “tea party” movement is the tale of an average citizen in action.
“I am an ordinary citizen from Omaha, Neb., who just may have the chance to preserve liberty along with you and other people like you,” she said at a recent panel discussion with tea party leaders in Washington. Thomas went on to count herself among those energized into action by President Obama’s “hard-left agenda.”
But Thomas is no ordinary activist.
She is the wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, and she has launched a tea-party-linked group that could test the traditional notions of political impartiality for the court.
In January, Virginia Thomas created Liberty Central Inc., a nonprofit lobbying group whose website will organize activism around a set of conservative “core principles,” she said.
The group plans to issue score cards for Congress members and be involved in the November election, although Thomas would not specify how. She said it would accept donations from various sources — including corporations — as allowed under campaign finance rules recently loosened by the Supreme Court.
“I adore all the new citizen patriots who are rising up across this country,” Thomas, who goes by Ginni, said on the panel at the Conservative Political Action Conference. “I have felt called to the front lines with you, with my fellow citizens, to preserve what made America great.”
The move by Virginia Thomas, 52, into the front lines of politics stands in marked contrast to the rarefied culture of the nation’s highest court, which normally prizes the appearance of nonpartisanship and a distance from the fisticuffs of the politics of the day.
Justice Thomas, 61, recently expressed sensitivity to such concerns, telling law students in Florida that he doesn’t attend the State of the Union because it is “so partisan.” Thomas, who was nominated by President George H.W. Bush, has been a reliable conservative vote since he joined the court in 1991.
Experts say Virginia Thomas’ work doesn’t violate ethical rules for judges. But Liberty Central could give rise to conflicts of interest for her husband, they said, as it tests the norms for judicial spouses. The couple have been married since 1987.
“I think the American public expects the justices to be out of politics,” said University of Texas law school professor Lucas A. “Scot” Powe, a court historian.
He said the expectations for spouses are far less clear. “I really don’t know because we’ve never seen it,” Powe said.
Under judicial rules, judges must curb political activity, but a spouse is free to engage.
“We expect the justice to make decisions uninfluenced by the political or legal preferences of his or her spouse,” said New York University law professor Stephen Gillers, an expert on legal ethics.
Virginia Thomas declined to comment in detail about her plans for LibertyCentral.org, which she said would fully launch in May. In a brief phone interview, she did not directly answer questions about whether she and her husband had discussed the effects her role might have on perceptions of his impartiality.
“I don’t involve myself in litigation. Are you asking that because there’s a different standard for conservatives? Did you ask Ed Rendell that question?” she said, referring to the Democratic governor of Pennsylvania, who is married to a federal appellate court judge.
Virginia Thomas has long been a passionate voice for conservative views. She has worked for former Republican Rep. Dick Armey of Texas and for the Heritage Foundation, a conservative think tank with strong ties to the GOP.
In 2000, while at the Heritage Foundation, she was recruiting staff for a possible George W. Bush administration as her husband was hearing the case that would decide the election. When journalists reported her work, Thomas said she saw no conflict of interest and that she rarely discussed court matters with her husband.
“We have our separate professional lives,” she said at the time.
In fall 2008, when Thomas joined Hillsdale College as an administrator, she called the school’s Washington campus “the safest place for me to be when it comes to conflicts.” Her new endeavor could signal a return from that shelter.
==========================
I can hear Black America railing at this Uncle Tom. We have more traitors in our white race. But Thomas’s wife is casting aside all pretense of impartiality.
Her corporation is now able to spend unlimited money on its choice of candidates and political groups.
Justice Scalia is often caught openly commenting on cases that he will be deciding on. Alioto, broke his position of neutrality during President Obama’s speech.
Anything goes now that we have a black in the White House. My friends like me are democrats. But I often hear from some of them that it would be easier to support Obama if his skin color and features were closer to his mother’s.
