Taliban Suspected Of Sickening Female Afghan Students

Bahameen: It doesn’t surprise me that the people of Iran, as well as other countries, are being blocked from my blog, again. This was sent to me by one of my readers who couldn’t post the other day. The topic is so important I wanted to post this article for her.

Again, the abuse that women of the world go through is just atrocious. What men will do to continue to keep women down and in their control, has reached higher levels. It is no longer about slavery and abuse, which is bad enough. Now men are, in my mind, attempting mass murder by poisoning young girls.

Taliban suspected of sickening female Afghan students

(CNN) — Afghan authorities will investigate the sudden illness of students and staff at three schools in the past week in northern Afghanistan, the Afghan Human Independent Rights Commission said on Sunday. Local doctors suggested the Taliban may be the perpetrators of possible poison attacks.

“During the last seven days three cases of poisoning [have] occurred in Kunduz Province,” said Syed Karim Talash, the director of the commission office in the province.

At least 88 girls and teachers became ill in separate cases at three girls’ schools.

The cause of the illnesses was not known, but Talash said poison gas was suspected.

“It is really big concern for us, and big concern for the family of the girls,” Talash said.

Dr. Mohammad Qasam Khamoosh, who treated girls from two schools, said “unknown gases” were responsible for the mass illnesses.

These are “terrorist activities against education in the country,” he said.

Girls were not allowed to attend school during the Taliban‘s rule. Girls’ schools have been open in the region since 2001.

Khamoosh said authorities were able to gather a sample of the gas, which has been sent off for testing.

Kunduz province has seen a drastic influx in terrorist activity, particularly by the group known as Hizb-e-Islami, led by the notorious leader Gulbudeen Hekmatyar. It’s an independent group that has increasingly worked under the Taliban umbrella in recent years.

Readers: I don’t know how these women endure. All I can say is how strong willed they must be; they have to be, to continually fight for their lives….their safety and well-being. These actions that these horrible men take do not break these women down. No, on the contrary. As much as I pray to see these atrocities come to an end, the more these women endure, the stronger these women get. The men may think they’re breaking them down, but they are not.

Bahameen: Know that you and the other girls are on my mind and you will continue to be supported. I am sure any one of you would make an amazing girlz, and I look forward to the day when you and others will join me if you chose. Be well and stay strong.

Brian: Thanks for encouraging me and my readers to take action against Goldman Sachs. If you or anyone else wants to sign Bold Progressives petition to launch a criminal investigation of Goldman along with other wall streeters, as well as calling your representatives, I’ve made it easy – click here.

Hi Helena: Nice to hear from you again (?) It is a little disconcerting isn’t it? I was just thinking today, again,  how I have to filter through so much junk to get to the good stuff, and then to have to decipher if what I think is actually good, or if someone is just trying to scam me. It is never ending; there are days where I wish e-mail wasn’t such a major tool of communication.

Anna, Peter: You both have been so committed to posting information on my blog for your peeps, I feel like it is just as much your blog as it is mine. Obviously your work has helped spread the word. I too hope that the Catholic church will be held accountable for the allegations of some of it’s clergy and those ‘butt bandits’ will pay a price. I do believe that your consistent actions in this area, (and others!) deserve some of the credit to say the least, in bringing and keeping these horrific atrocities in the light.

Hello Mike: Don’t worry.  If your persistency pays off, more power to you.

Shirley: Many people read my blog strictly for the health tips. I think this was a good one to post – Thanks.

Marie: Your diary is very amusing. Love the toothbrush bit. Can’t wait to hear about the other ‘crap’. :)

Selvig: You’re right; it is repulsive. I hope that you’ll express your views to all of your friends, Republicans included. Everyone needs to stand up and against this.

Lloyd: Your guess is as good as mine. Like many other things in life, timing is everything. Keep trying. :)

Kids in Church: Cute. On both accounts.

Justin: Thanks for your two. Literally. :)

Fred: Thanks too for your article.

Hi Sonja: I’m sure you are aware that your link wasn’t there, but here it is for those interested. :)

Daemon: Surprisingly, I am actually aware of the financial situation in Greece. I won’t pretend to understand it all, as I am no economist. I hope that the situation improves.

Maurice: All I can do is laugh at your comment; it is just so silly.  Love it -You may not be joking but I’m sure Aquatic rat fur for some men would be quite appropriate. In regards to your question: I have no idea.

John: Nice to hear from you again. No, Mr Hawking and I did not have a conversation, although I would’ve like to. So yes, it does seem more than just a coincidence doesn’t it? ‘Just noticing’…Perhaps like many others who are reading my blog and attempting to lift material, he too has been reading and getting ideas. I am not accusing him of anything, but your comment, as well as Suzy’s does make me think. Thanks. Now I am very curious to see his documentary. Hello to Connie and her women’s club. :)

Doug: Obviously they haven’t gotten a clue yet. Perhaps an Aquatic rat fur vest would help.

Readers: With all of the political powwow going on, did anyone partake in Camp OFA in your community? I went on Sunday and it was very exciting and informative. I have joined two community groups, and I’m looking forward to collaborating with other like-minded peeps in ensuring a successful election in November. And let’s have some fun too – okay?

Lastly, greed over a great story is surfacing from my ‘loyal’(?) readers. With all this back and forth about who owns what, that appears on my blog, let me reiterate that all material posted on my blog becomes the sole property of my blog. If you want to reserve any proprietary rights don’t post it to my blog. I will prominently display this caveat on my blog from now on to remind those who may have forgotten this notice.

Gratefully your blog host,

The republicans are preventing the debate on financial reform. Who are their supporters? Or perhaps the better question is how stupid are their base?

How can they be against bail outs and then support Senators who prevent laws that break up “too big to fail?”

    Nelson

  2. Bayani Says:

White america is in full bloom using their control over the legal and justice system to exercise that expression often cited on this blog. JUST-US justice.

The Supreme Court on a 5 to 4 vote ruled Mojave can keep its cross on public land. Plus the chief bigot Kennedy stated the majority opinion that just because their is a cross on public land doesn’t mean it represents the christian religion.——-Right

Just because rain is water doesn’t mean it is wet.

That logic is not unlike the Arizona logic that just because Mexicans look different form whites doesn’t mean the cops will be singling out non white looking people for illegal immigration check.

I agree with the comment yesterday. Latinos who still want to be republican are imbecilic. Or heavily into kissing white ass.

  3. Gilbert Says:

I am constantly amazed at the range of topic discussed on this blog. Michelle you are doing a great job.

The mention of Thomas Hagan being released after 45 years for killing Malcom X caught me by surprise.

Of course the veiled threat was uncalled for. Mr. Hagan has said that he regrets acting out of rage and impulse due to his loyalty to religious leaders.

Michelle this is only the third time I have visited your blog. I loved the Sonja link. You can bet I am now a regular. It will be my first visit when I log on in the morning.

    Michelle

I went to the democratic leadership camp in my neighborhood. I was surprised how many people there knew of your blog.

In my small town that is amazing.

I have to admit that most of the men hate your blog. Now that that is out it should make more women here start reading it.

Oh Zen Lill you have plenty of fans here too. I for one love your exercise advice.

    Lisa

  7. Connie Says:

Michelle, I can’t believe you mentioned me. It is not my club, but I am one of your greatest fans.

I introduced John to your blog. I mentioned it to my church choir and got reprimanded by Father Mathis. He says you are anti Catholic.

Sister Mary, pulled me aside later and said that she reads your blog all the time and you are sent by God to save this world. She says you are in many of the Sisters prayers daily.

    Thanks for all you do

    Connie

  8. Kirk Says:

The Republicans are taking so much flax from the polls on their blockage that they are looking for a way to back down.

I am in one of the big Republican Committees. We are getting hits from our sponsors saying we could lose big if we continue to block the debate.

We have been holding off until we have in place the plan we need to allow the debate but to block in changes that our contributors don’t want to become law.

If I told you the strategy for that, you would cringe. This is good.

    Kirk

  9. Claudette Says:

Men should refrain from making jokes about blonds until MSMBC gets rid of Daylan Ratigan.

My only question is who did he have to blow to get that job. This the most ignorant person on air.

He claims to understand the financial situation of the country and pontificates daily about what the republicans and democrats are doing to fix it.

The guy is an idiot. He doesn’t seem to understand the difference between doing something and getting it passed and the republicans blocking the possibility of a debate taking place.

He is actually playing into the republicans hands by knocking both parties. One party is arguing for a debate on what needs to be done in the public arena and a party that is preventing any debate at all.

Men would be making comedy skits about a woman who was a inept as this dimwit is.

    Claudette

  10. Trudy Says:

My husband is so typical. He is driving me crazy repeating how the fact that the governor of Texas claiming to have killed a coyote with his hand gun is proof that guns should be carried by everyone.

And in case you are wondering, yes he has a very small penis.

I’ve been married to this otherwise sweet man(he is not racist) for 23 years. But he is a gun fanatic. It is his only vice.

He is not a religious nut and he is against anyone who tries to enact racist laws. yes is is a republican but he is definitely against the Arizona law and he will be campaigning against Texas enacting a similar one here.

But he has to have his guns. He owns so many that we had to build a special storage facility for them.

    Trudy

  11. Grace Says:

Who knows why men are so crazy to control women. But it is obvious that they use every and any reason to do so.

Using islam to dominate and enslave women is no worst that men in the West using Christianity to do the same. The difference is Islam has not been successfully challenged in separating religion from government.

If you notice the US Supreme Court is trying to ease religion back into their decisions when they decide issues. That will only be bad very bad news for women’s rights.

    Grace

  12. Angela Says:

Sheriff Dupnik of Arizona says that no law enforcement office in the state asked the state legislature for that law.

He says it is a stupid law. What he should have said is that it is a racist law. But as has been pointed out on this blog several times.

White men refuse to call it racism when they are doing it. But any perceived slight to the white race is called reverse racism.

Obama is accused of playing the race card when he called for young people, black , latinos and women to go to the polls.

Last I checked young people and women are make up a white majority in the country as they do in every other category.

So white men will call it racism if they are not specifically named as a category. But none of the white commentators will call it racism when non whites will have to put up with being required to produce papers to prove they are not illegal immigrants.

And Claudette, I agree with you Ratigan is an idiot. He doesn’t have a grasp of most of the topics he addresses.

My question would not be who he had to blow, but rather how many he had to blow to get that job.

    Angela

  13. Minnie Says:

The Arizona legislature took care to make sure that law enforcement officers couldn’t be sued for violations of the OTWS they illegally stop or harass in that racist law they passed.

They also made sure to give white people the right to sue that same law enforcement agency it they don’t the non whites and force them to show their papers to prove their citizenship.

    Minnie

  14. Maurice Says:

The Governor carries a 380 laser sighted luger. He used it to kill that coyote. It is against the law in Texas to use a laser sighted weapon to hunt.

    Maurice

  15. Doris Says:

I agree with those who say Dylan is an idiot. This man doesn’t seem to know the difference from taking a campaign donation and delivering on that donation for the donor.

He keeps railing on the fact that Obama almost a million dollars from Goldman Sachs rather than whether Obama is giving Goldman Sachs anything for that money.

Crooks often hedge their bets by trying to buy both sides. Obama is acting smart like Mike and Midge on your blog Michelle.

He is taking the money and using it to stop the crooks from benefiting from what it would buy if they gave it to the republicans.

The republicans have shown that they deliver for their donors. They are trying to kill reform for the donations they received from the financial sectors.

Obama is trying to get the Congress to pass legislature to pass regulatory guidelines.

If Ratigan can’t see the difference, he is an idiot.

    Doris

  16. Anna on Guam Says:

I want to alert future visits to Guam to know that Japan Airlines On Oct. 31, will suspend its daily flights from Tokyo Narita to San Francisco and its daily flights to Honolulu via Kona. The same day, it will launch service Tokyo Haneda to San Francisco and Honolulu.

So if you are coming to Guam via Japan, you will be doing it through the Haneda airport. It is farther in Tokyo than Narita which is the airport that services airlines coming form San Francisco and Honolulu to Guam.

  17. Health Info Says:

    NONSMOKERS’ RISK FOR LUNG CANCER

It seems somehow unfair when a person who has never smoked gets lung cancer — and unfortunately, it happens more often than you might guess.

Here in the US, 10% to 15% of lung cancer cases (translating to about 20,000 cases per year) fall into this category.

The notoriety of this disease was raised when the actress Dana Reeve (widow of Christopher Reeve) died from it in 2006, and I remember how lots of people were surprised to hear that this could happen.

So where does that put us in terms of risk? And what can be done to avoid this horrible disease? I was very interested to see a special report on this cancer in a recent issue of the journal Clinical Cancer Research.

Authored by scientists at Johns Hopkins University, it said that the biology, diagnosis and treatment (everything,

in other words) of lung cancer can be very different in never-smokers, defined as people who smoked fewer than 100 cigarettes in their lifetimes.

When I called the study author, Charles M. Rudin, MD, PhD, associate director for clinical research at Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center, he told me that this type of cancer is often completely unrelated to smoking.

    WHO’S IN DANGER?

The most important avoidable risk factor is exposure to secondhand smoke, but there are several other known causes of “nonsmoker lung cancer” as well.

These include radon gas leaking into homes from naturally occurring uranium in soil… exposure to asbestos… emissions from indoor wood-burning stoves … and as I reported last year in Daily Health News (February 16, 2009), cooking oil that gets aerosolized and breathed in when we cook.

Dr. Rudin told me that there is also new evidence that genetics makes some people more vulnerable, noting that mutations increasing risk are now being identified.

But he also said that in many cases of nonsmoker lung cancer, it’s not really evident precisely what caused the disease.

    NEVER-SMOKERS HAVE A BETTER PROGNOSIS

A problem with lung cancer overall is that there are no early markers, so it’s often quite advanced before it is diagnosed.

“There’s nothing for lung cancer like the PSA for prostate cancer or the Pap smear for cervical cancer,” Dr. Rudin explained, “so there is no method of early detection that has an impact on mortality.”

This is particularly problematic for nonsmokers, he noted — when they seek help for the cough and chest discomfort that are typical symptoms of lung cancer, doctors are more apt to think that there is a benign cause, such as a respiratory infection, than to look for a malignancy.

Whereas a heavy smoker might be sent for diagnostic tests immediately, this would rarely be the case with a patient with no smoking history.

Nonetheless, the never-smoker with lung cancer usually has a better prognosis than the smoker.

A key reason is that, aside from the lung cancer, these patients are typically healthier than smokers, who often have other issues, such as cardiac problems, that impede treatment.

Some patients who are found to have particular genetic alterations can benefit from targeted drug therapies that offer significantly higher response rates, Dr. Rudin said.

“Some of the newer anticancer drugs are designed to specifically inhibit some of the alterations that we think are important in causing lung cancer,” he explained.

Otherwise, traditional chemotherapy, radiation and/or surgery are the usual treatments for lung cancer in people who never smoked.

    IF YOU’RE WORRIED…

Everyone should be aware of risk factors for nonsmoking lung cancer, says Dr. Rudin.

He suggests avoiding known causes, particularly exposure to cigarette smoke, asbestos (still found in many building products in older homes) and radon (test your home’s levels).

While some experts think that it would be good to broadly screen people with respiratory problems via CT scan, there are obvious concerns about radiation exposure from such scans themselves.

Meanwhile, if you are a never-smoker with a persistent cough, especially one accompanied by blood, shortness of breath, weight loss or chest pain, be aware that these symptoms might suggest lung cancer –

voice your concerns to your doctor and be sure that you get the testing you need to either confirm or rule out such a diagnosis.

And, if you have been diagnosed with lung cancer and have never smoked, Dr. Rudin says, it is important to be sure that your oncologist has your tumor examined for genetic alterations.

If any are found, you might be a candidate for one of the newer targeted therapies that offer more hope for a good outcome.

  18. Janet Says:

I beg to differ with those of you out there who paint all white people with the same brush.

Obama is half White. He belongs as much to my race as he does to the black race. He had Two parents. One was black and the other was white.

If he had been born light enough to pass skin wise as white since he has been raised in an exclusive white environment the black race would be claiming that he could not be sensitive enough to black needs.

The fact is Obama belongs to both the white and black race. But the only important fact is that as President of the United States of America, he represents all the American citizens regardless of their race.

  19. Zen Lill Says:

Hi Mischa, would like to chat with you soon, let me know when you have time.

This article is sickening, once again…

Lisa, of course men hate this blog, it points out their general sense of fair play, their lack of humanity/equality, etc, etc…(that’s most men, not all, just to clarify). Glad you like the exercises, see below!

Marilyn, methinks you might be doing more in the bathroom than just rereading my comments ; ) and no worries there, babe, I dig and admire others who indulge in a healthy dose of self-love.

Now, about that ‘deserving smacks’ for ‘smart mouthing’ your man thang…hmm, why not just ask for the ‘discipline’ you crave bc you were a ‘bad girl’ (mmm and aren’t we all when we wanna be…?) I’m sure he’d ‘smack’ you where it counts, mmmm, much more fun and mature than acting like a smart-mouthed woman who ‘disses’ publicly to make sure you get smacked later. That’s not cool, I’m a do unto others type, no public (or private) disrespecting, and if I want that ‘smack’ I just go ahead and ask for it. I have only one q: when your man disrespects you do you get to spank him – oops, I mean, um, smack – him or is he not into that?

My only other comment is: if you think your missing something, you are. I would post more sexually fun stuff here bc I just love sex, the act and it should be just a natural thing to do and chat about (though not specifically about the lover), why treat it otherwise, but when I did do that briefly, I got shit for saying your orgasm is your responsibility, etc…it’s just a suggestion bc you want pleasure from the act, if he’s (Mr Man) has to take all that responsibility guess what you also just gave him, control. So I say, take control over your life, all of it, including your sex life. That’s just me and I do know by now that there are few women with my belief system. Ah well, it’s all good with me, I am content with where I’m at.

Women of MM blog, a quick jumpstart to lose 5 fast, and start your bikini wearing season – do your morning workout 5 mornings a week and every other day, take another 20-30 minute power walk 8 hours later, eat what you want, whole foods and things that are good for you of course : ) I’ve taken up enough space, I’ll return for the list of supplements, just a word on that, supplements are exactly that, they are not meant to replace the content of whole foods, if you are eating 7 colors of veggies/fruits a day they will be working in unison to make your body healthy, that being said…I’ll be back…

    Caio, Luv, Zen Lill

  20. Zen Lill Says:

    Lack of fair play, sorry…

  21. Clara Says:

I’m sorry if it offends you Janet, but when a state passes a law that gives its police force the power to stop anyone and demand citizenship papers and further authorizes its police force to use its own judgement as to who it will stop to ask, the offense will be to those who will be targeted by that police force.

Do you honestly believe that the Arizona police force will be asking white people to produce papers? Do you honestly believe that it is just coincidental that the percent of the state who likes it is the exact same percent of whites in the state?

No one believes that all white people are bad, racist, good, or anything else. But it is obvious that most are.

I’m white and I am none of those things. I watch MSNBC and Keith Obermann, Ed Schultz, and Rachel Maddow are whites who call it as they see it.

They constantly complain about the racial profiling and the obvious racist nature of this law.

But the fact is clear, that most whites are not up in arms by the state of Arizona having passed a bill that is basically racial harassment because it will not affect us and ours.

  22. Ling Says:

I will not be surprised if Texas follows suit and copies the Arizona law. My family immigrated here in 1986. We have been harassed in some form or another by whites almost every day since.

Whites in Texas think they own the state. They treat us bad and encourage us to treat the mexicans even worst.

  23. General Info Says:

More than 100,000 seniors take out a reverse mortgage each year to help with their finances.

But the market is growing so fast and the age group is considered so vulnerable that they’ve become a prime target for scammers.

    Reverse Mortgage Explosion Unleashes Scams
    <>~<>~<>~<>~<>~<>~<>~<>~<>~<>~<>~<>~<>~<>~<>~<>~<>~<>

When times are hard or there’s a sudden need to splash out on a big ticket item, a reverse mortgage can be a possible solution.

But the emphasis is on the “can be” part of that statement. Of course, you should always speak to a qualified and reputable professional about reverse mortgage pros and cons. But you also need to be aware of reverse mortgage scams.

In very simple terms, a reverse mortgage provides cash — a lump sum or a steady income — against the value of your home. You may or may not have to immediately pay interest on the loan, but the capital sum and any accrued interest is repaid to the lender only when the homeowner moves or dies.

So reverse mortgages tend to be used mainly by older homeowners. In fact, they’re usually not even available to owners below age 62. In 2008, more than 100,000
seniors in the US used them to raise an estimated $17 billion and experts say 2009 could have been a record.

But some members of this older age group also happen to be among the most vulnerable to scams.

A report published last October by the National Consumer Law Center (NCLC) noted that “the continuing availability of reverse mortgages is good news for seniors who need to cash out some of their housing wealth to supplement Social Security, to meet
unexpected medical costs, or to make needed home repairs. But growth in the reverse mortgage market has unleashed other, more malign forces.”

    How reverse mortgage scams work

High pressure sales tactics are sometimes used to persuade owners who don’t really need one, to take out a reverse mortgage and perhaps to put the money into a risky or scam investment that promises high returns.

Using the same tactics, disreputable lenders charge astronomically high interest rates, which eat up the entire capital value of a home or even saddle the estate of a deceased homeowner with considerable debt
beyond the value of the home (although legitimate loans are usually protected against this).

Another reverse mortgage con involves fooling owners into signing documentation that enables a crook to apply for and get a loan and then disappear with the payout.

And, of course, there are cases when a reverse mortgage is simply not the best or cheapest way of getting money, but an unscrupulous broker convinces you it is
    – picking up a juicy commission along the way.

Ambiguous advertising, pushy telesales people and unsolicited mail are the main sources of these scams. Some mailings disguise the reverse mortgage as some
kind of government scheme or use official sounding names in the letterheads.

Other times, a sales person promoting home improvements or remodeling might suggest a reverse mortgage as a way of financing the changes.

Recently, the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC) announced plans to protect consumers from deceptive claims and to help them make
better-informed decisions about whether to obtain a reverse mortgage.

However, these mainly involve guidance for registered financial organizations and, as we know, many scammers operate outside official channels.

How to learn more about reverse mortgages

If you are considering a reverse mortgage as an option for raising money, here are some suggestions on how to find out more:

    * As we said at the outset, you should always seek professional advice about big financial decisions like a reverse mortgage. (Scambusters cannot and does not
    offer financial advice.)

Work with your advisor to shop around for different money-raising options and to make comparisons.

Use an advisor whom you know and trust or one who comes highly recommended.

    http://clicks.aweber.com/y/ct/?l=8JUKO&m=1fr_Oy_nL0tWfo&b=ilRk.9IYPDaFQjFGJNYKzw

The FTC also offers these warnings:

    * Lenders generally charge origination fees and other closing costs for a reverse mortgage. They may charge servicing fees during the term of the mortgage.

    * The amount you owe on a reverse mortgage gets bigger over time. Interest is charged on the outstanding balance and added to the amount you owe each month.

    * Most reverse mortgages have variable rates that are tied to a financial index and are likely to change according to market conditions.

    * Reverse mortgages can use up all or some of the equity in your home, leaving fewer assets for you and your heirs.

    * Because you retain title to your home, you are responsible for paying property taxes, insurance, utilities, fuel, maintenance, and other expenses. If you don’t pay these expenses, you risk the loan becoming due and payable.

    * Interest on reverse mortgages is not deductible on income tax returns until the loan is paid off in part or whole.

Even if a reverse mortgage is not an option or an issue for you, you may know someone, a senior, who might be thinking about one, so please consider passing this
    information on to them.

As usual it takes a woman. Rachel Maddow called the Arizona law what it is racist.

She also showed via quotes from the individuals themselves such as Sarah Palin(men don’t have a monopoly on stupidity) that those who claim the law isn’t based on profiling have gone on record supporting racial profiling.

Thanks for allowing me to reach so many people Michelle. I want to take advantage of that reach to alert Guamanians about the outbreak of mumps on the island.

Right now it is in the north section of Guam. But Guam is an island it can travel to any other part of the island in a short period.

Mumps is a communicable disease. It should be treated as if it was right in your own village because tomorrow it could be.

I think you said it the other day, Misch, but who carries their ‘papers’ wtf is that about, harrassment, that’s what it’s about. It never ceases to amaze me what laws are passed and why we don’t get in an absolute uproar and start a revolution. This country could use one. All old white males better batten down their F’in hatches when it does happen : )

Doug, main dude, while I appreciate and understand your comment re: my FB post, I think Goldman Sachs CFO/Ceo should be prosecuted. It’s not a distraction form the unveiling the underpinnings of this debacle, not in my opinion. But then again, I think dubya should’ve been prosecuted also : ) and that didn’t happen either. I am/was disgusted at the testimonial but fully expected to hear the BS – imagine the CFO of GS saying he was not aware of specific market situations. Uh, yeah, right…as Eddie Murphy said in Trading Places, ‘Y’all are a couple of bookies’ – lies, lies and more lies.

Marilyn, just wanted to add that none of my commentary was meant in disrespect to you, your hubby or your lengthy marriage, I hope you know that, I was just having my say and a bit of fun with you, and you can take that to the bathroom ; )

US bill to allow Guam nuclear victims compensation may need reworking

Posted at 03:12 on 29 April, 2010 UTC

The Pacific Association of Radiation Survivors says US legislation that would enable Guam victims of nuclear weapons test radiation to make compensation claims may need reworking.

The bill in the US Senate would amend the Radiation Exposure Compensation Act to include Guam on the list of affected areas where victims can make claims.
It would allow Guam residents exposed to the tests to claim up to US$150,000 in damages.

People would be eligible if they have any of a list of cancers and defects related to the tests, and if they lived on Guam between 1946 and 1958, or from April to November 1962.

But the Association’s president, Robert Celestial, says these dates are somewhat misleading.

“I think we should bring up the fact that the dates they indicated in the bill are detonation dates instead of exposure dates.

So that’s something interesting that I think I will bring up in Congress when we ever get up to the committee, is that radiation doesn’t stop just because you stop detonating.”

  29. ALIENS Says:

All this talk about humans having to be afraid to meet aliens brings back pleasant memories.

I remember when me and my mate use to pose as lions and attack villages. We would start with the biggest male in a village. We would drag him off still alive screaming as my mouth held his foot between my jaws while I moved at a full jaunt.

We would drag him to a spot where it would be easy to discover his body. Then we would lick his body so that our tongues removed his skin and allowed us to drink the blood seeping through.

Then we would begin eating him while he was still alive starting from his feet. We would stop as soon as he died and leave him for the buzzards and plan our next attack the following night.

We could not be seen in our natural form so we could walk amongst the humans and listen to their plans to catch “those two devil lions.” Then we would attack in a way to circumvent their plans.

We would do this until we tired of the fun. Sometimes we would end it by providing a couple of lions for them to kill. Humans were so easy. If two lions were killed and the killings stopped it was always assumed that they had killed the culprits.

Now that humans have begun to hunt innocent visitors to your planet, perhaps we should pick another form to act out in. Your lore is full of creatures of the night to choose from.

We American women need your support too. In Oklahoma a new law has been passed by a republican legislature over the veto of a democratic governor. It forces any woman who wants an abortion to have to undergo a ultrasound to show her the image of the fetus.

AZ, TN, MS and NE are the other states about to enact the same law. They have laws pending to force any woman asking for an abortion to have her name posted on the internet.

Men make this a cruel place for women the world over.

  31. Doug The Main Dude Says:

    Zen Lill,
I did not mean that the GS legal wranglings should not take place. However, as in the story above, by naito, it (this trial and outcome) will become the sacrificial lion given to the den of inequity to pacify a complacent and blind public from the truth. This is the Ollie North trials of our day. A set of pawns in their cadre of players that become fall guys to the kings of the game.

The people are yet not aggravated enough to begin a revolution. The distraction of AZ will help alleviate that as well. Something to take the energetic of the minds away from other things happening and being signed into law…

These are all textbook means of mob manipulation. Throw in a bone and watch the ravenous rage emanate from masses for the scraps of what they feel is the right and true by a simple slight of the magicians hand.

As I said, all of the players are well hidden behind the castle walls. The Bilderberg Group, The Trilateral Commission, The Council on Foreign Relations, The Rothschild and Rockefellers, et al.

The free press, what limited existence that is, and blogosphere help to distribute information, however, the intelligence of the people must understand that the corporate information is spoon fed and actually begin to find, trust and believe in the truths that are coming from the free press. Most people still trust and believe the fodder of the corporate press.

  32. Zen Lill Says:

Doug, md, yes I agree in form and content and I also know a bt about mass pyschology, do you know of a means or way if giing after the true culprits. Probably not as they are very well protected and handle fall guys (who are probably volunteers – for a price). I’m just very po’d that while televising the trial and all it’s blantant stupidity (CFO & CEO answers) we are supposed to buying any of it? None if then will go to jail but I’d be ok with the lot if them going down as fall guys, not as a distraction, as a warning : ) that maybe the American people have had it and we find our cajones and go after bigger guns, the ones you mentioned and yes start a fucking revolution, hmmm, but that sure ain’t ging to happen while there are many who are still very fat and happy. As always I appreciate your two on a subject. Have Mischa give you a hug for me ok?

    Luv, Zen Lill

  33. Doug The Main Dude Says:

I agree, as is the human condition, it would make many feel good to see a fall guy. However, it would not be a warning as Anonz has stated there will always be someone to take the place and get the job done for the elites…
