Women Bite Back In A Big Way

Scene: A man attacks a woman from behind and throws her face down on the ground. He’s on top of her, one hand cupping her mouth, the other lifting her skirt, ripping her panties off. The victim, a young woman is scared and enraged as she tries to violently kick and scream, pulling and scratching at the perpetrator’s hands, trying to fend him off. He holds her forcefully down, while unzipping his pants. She continues to kick and fight as best as she can, but his hand is suffocating her and she is running out of breath. He smiles an evil smile, and shouts in her ear, “Bite me bitch. I’m taking this, and there’s nothing you can do about it!” He begins to rape her.

Oh yeah? Take this! The rape doesn’t last long…seconds later, to his surprise, “bite” him she does.

Readers: No one ever wants the above scene to happen. And if the scene sounds horrible, and it does, one can not imagine how awful it is for the woman who is the victim, unless you have been raped yourself. And even then most rapes are probably a lot worse than I care to describe it. But you’ll soon get my point…read on.

This is an interesting little discovery that I made, that may provide assistance to women, if they choose. The article was written back in June of this year. This is one solution that I feel will make men think with the big head, before they decide to force their little head into women.

(CNN) — South African Dr. Sonnet Ehlers was on call one night four decades ago when a devastated rape victim walked in. Her eyes were lifeless; she was like a breathing corpse.

“She looked at me and said, ‘If only I had teeth down there,’” recalled Ehlers, who was a 20-year-old medical researcher at the time. “I promised her I’d do something to help people like her one day.”

Forty years later, Rape-aXe was born.

Ehlers is distributing the female condoms in the various South African cities where the World Cup soccer games are taking place.

The woman inserts the latex condom like a tampon. Jagged rows of teeth-like hooks line its inside and attach on a man’s penis during penetration, Ehlers said.

Once it lodges, only a doctor can remove it — a procedure Ehlers hopes will be done with authorities on standby to make an arrest.

“It hurts, he cannot pee and walk when it’s on,” she said. “If he tries to remove it, it will clasp even tighter… however, it doesn’t break the skin, and there’s no danger of fluid exposure.”

Ehlers said she sold her house and car to launch the project, and she planned to distribute 30,000 free devices under supervision during the World Cup period.

“I consulted engineers, gynecologists and psychologists to help in the design and make sure it was safe,” she said.

After the trial period, they’ll be available for about $2 a piece. She hopes the women will report back to her.

“The ideal situation would be for a woman to wear this when she’s going out on some kind of blind date … or to an area she’s not comfortable with,” she said.

The mother of two daughters said she visited prisons and talked to convicted rapists to find out whether such a device would have made them rethink their actions.
Some said it would have, Ehlers said.

Critics say the female condom is not a long-term solution and makes women vulnerable to more violence from men trapped by the device.

It’s also a form of “enslavement,” said Victoria Kajja, a fellow for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in the east African country of Uganda. “The fears surrounding the victim, the act of wearing the condom in anticipation of being assaulted all represent enslavement that no woman should be subjected to.”
Kajja said the device constantly reminds women of their vulnerability.

“It not only presents the victim with a false sense of security, but psychological trauma,” she added. “It also does not help with the psychological problems that manifest after assaults.”

However, its one advantage is it allows justice to be served, she said.
Various rights organizations that work in South Africa declined to comment, including Human Rights Watch and Care International.

South Africa has one of the highest rape rates in the world, Human Rights Watch says on its website. A 2009 report by the nation’s Medical Research Council found that 28 percent of men surveyed had raped a woman or girl, with one in 20 saying they had raped in the past year, according to Human Rights Watch.

In most African countries, rape convictions are not common. Affected women don’t get immediate access to medical care, and DNA tests to provide evidence are unaffordable.

“Women and girls who experience these violations are denied justice, factors that contribute to the normalization of rape and violence in South African society,” Human Rights Watch says.

Women take drastic measures to prevent rape in South Africa, Ehlers said, with some wearing extra tight biker shorts and others inserting razor blades wrapped in sponges in their private parts.

Critics have accused her of developing a medieval device to fight rape.
“Yes, my device may be a medieval, but it’s for a medieval deed that has been around for decades,” she said. “I believe something’s got to be done … and this will make some men rethink before they assault a woman.”

Readers: Sure, so it may not be a long term solution but it is one solution, and I have to say, except for exterminating the evil, I haven’t heard of too many solutions that I could run with. If I were in a place where rape was prevalent I would certainly consider wearing one. Yes, no doubt the perpetrator is going to be quite upset being “bitten” by one of these, but I think he’ll be so shocked and focused on his pain, that the victim will hopefully be able to get away and get help.

As far as the rest of what the critics are saying, I think it is a bunch of BS, but you tell me. The critics claim that it is a form of “enslavement”. Please spare me…or at least spare these women – they are already being enslaved by men. How does wearing one of these make them more vulnerable. Women in Uganda, and many other places are already in fear of being raped; they already feel vulnerable.

I think wearing one of these would give a woman “confidence”, and not false sense of security. Confidence that should something happen, she will have recourse. Of course it doesn’t help with the psychological problems that manifests after assaults – that goes without saying. And no, Rape aXe won’t protect a woman from being raped, but it does give the woman justice (not to mention the satisfaction of inflicting pain on her perpetrator – how’s that for a dose? You can give it, but can you take it?), and that lone fact itself, is enough I would think, for a woman to want to wear one.

Plus once the “word” gets out that women have access to these condoms, and once men hear through experience just how painful the “bite” can be, not to mention the fear of being convicted of rape, perhaps men just might curb their sick minds.

I say go for it. Love it. I know that’s a strange statement to say in regards to rape. But I support getting medieval on the evil. If men are going to continue to rape women, there has to be some immediate consequences, and pain and suffering sounds good to me. Men see no problem inflicting pain and suffering on the women they are raping. But more importantly, women will feel empowered because they have caught their perpetrator, and they can do something about it.

Yes, I can hear some of you men screaming now, and not from being “bitten”. I know some of you men will say that some women will use it to get back at men, take revenge on men, and not for the intended purpose of achieving justice from being raped. Yes, that may be true.

But I say that if it weren’t for men raping women in the first place…if it weren’t for men who enslave women and rape them at their pleasure…if it weren’t for men using rape as a weapon of war, well than a woman wouldn’t need to come up with this type of device in the first place to protect her sisters now would she?

I say get theses devises out there, make them accessible and distribute them to the women. Let the women make their own choice if they want to wear one or not. Give the women the power.

I would love to hear your thoughts. Would you wear one? I want to Especially hear from my women readers who live in countries where rape is a daily experience in their immediate lives. Blog me.

Ruth: I feel many times that I am the voice of bad news too – so you are not alone. I look at where everything is made these days, and if it is made in China, I don’t buy it. Unfortunately finding things made in the U.S. is getting difficult, but really…how much does one need? “Be choosy”, is what I say. Thanks for the important post. Keep ‘em coming. We all need to be as informed as we can be.

Qal’eh-Ye Now, Gardez, Kheyrabad, Herat: Perhaps today’s write is a solution for you too. I know it is not a long term solution. Long term is our country refusing to do business with your country(pl) unless women are treated as equals. I hear you and I agree with you. Oil is the problem. Thank you for reminding me and my readers. I wish all of you well.

Doug: We are a planet who treat each other so unkindly, and I am being kind here. People fear the aliens, and what they may do to us.  But look at what we do to our own kind.

Zen Lill: Ahahha! I have to laugh at your comment. Please don’t be offended; I am no way a prude when it comes to sex, and I certainly like bringing out the beast, but “Hot monkey lovin’” just doesn’t give me a good visual…Kind of a funny visual – not what you intended I’m sure. But hey, who cares about me, as long as it turns you on. :)

Peace out…

oh I like this tampon teeth clampin. Idea, immediate justice served. Bc as you said in SA and other countries the fear of rape is already there and I think psychologically speaking it will instill confidence in the females – they can fir once have an’eye for an eye’ (or a painful abd scarred cock for behaving like a barbarian) then the men can live in fear for once. I’m into this one, do they need help distributing, I’m in.

  2. Doug The Main Dude Says:

Perhaps this is a calling. To formulate a non profit to mass market and distribute these globally. Anonz, interested in pushing some funding, or getting some of your peeps to, for such a great cause? Perhaps we can make this happen!

I agree that the “humanity” of the planet is a sad case. As we know herein, there are sentient Alien beings that also find it difficult to fathom how one race can do such destruction to its own. This going against the concept of survival of the specie, when the “specie” is killing its own on such large scale.

  3. Ruth Says:

I am certainly purchasing a bunch of those. But does one size fit all?

Michelle, you are so right about China when it comes to buying things not made there. Here in France I have the same problem a lot of things are made in China.

But the Chinese still have completion in America when it comes to the food. Check this out.

Female Infants Growing Breasts: Another Disaster From Hormones in Milk Production

People are very upset about this, and for good reason. Female infants in China who have been fed formula have been growing breasts.

According to the official Chinese Daily newspaper, medical tests performed on the babies found levels of estrogens circulating in their bloodstreams that are as high as those found in most adult women.

These babies are between four and 15 months old. And the evidence is overwhelming that the milk formula they have been fed is responsible.

Synutra, the company that makes the baby formula consumed by these babies, says it’s not their fault. They insist that “no man-made hormones or any illegal substances were added during the production of the milk powder.”

Then what is the source of the hormones? A Chinese dairy association says the hormones could have entered the food chain when farmers reared the cows.

“Since a regulation forbidding the use of hormones to cultivate livestock has yet to be drawn up in China,” says Wang Dingmian, the former chairman of the dairy association in the southern province of Guangdo, “it would be lying to say nobody uses it.

” Bovine growth hormones are used in China, as they are in the U.S., to promote greater milk production.
An extraordinary number of food products sold in the U.S. today come from China.

Could some of this tainted formula be making its way to the U.S.?

There is currently no way for consumers to know whether infant formula they might purchase has been made with milk products from China.

If this problem appears in the U.S., who will be held responsible? The retailers? The importers? The Chinese producers? Will anyone be called to account?

As I describe in my books The Food Revolution and Diet For a New America, and on my website, this isn’t the first time something like this has happened.

In the 1980s, doctors in Puerto Rico began encountering cases of precocious puberty. There were four-year-old girls with fully developed breasts.

There were three-year old girls with pubic hair and vaginal bleeding. There were one-year-old girls who had not yet begun to walk but whose breasts were growing. And it wasn’t just the females.

Young boys were also affected. Many had to have surgery to deal with breasts that had become grossly swollen.

Writing a few years later in the Journal of the Puerto Rico Medical Association, Dr. Carmen A. Saenz explained the cause.

“It was clearly observed in 97 percent of the cases that the appearance of abnormal breast tissue was…related to local whole milk in the infants.”

The problem was traced, and found to stem from the misuse of hormones in dairy cows. When Dr. Saenz was asked how she could be certain the babies and children were contaminated with hormones from milk rather than from some other source, she replied simply:

“When we take our young patients off… fresh milk, their symptoms usually regress.”

Along with China, the U.S. is today one of the few countries in the world that still allows bovine growth hormones to be injected into dairy cows.

Though banned in Canada, Japan, Australia, New Zealand and most of Europe, the use of these hormones in U.S. dairy is not only legal, it’s routine in all 50 states.

The U.S. dairy industry assures us that this is not a problem. But there is a very real problem, and its name is Insulin-like Growth Factor-1 (IGF-1). Monsanto’s own studies, as well as those of Eli Lilly & Co., have found a 10-fold increase in IGF-1 levels in the milk of cows who have been injected with bovine growth hormone (BGH).

Why is that a problem? A report by the European Commission’s authoritative international 16-member scientific committee not only confirmed that excessive levels of IGF-1 are always found in the milk of cows injected with BGH.

It also concluded that excess levels of IGF-1 pose serious risks of breast, colon and prostate cancer.

How serious is the increased risk? According to an article in the May 9, 1998 issue of the medical journal The Lancet, women with even a relatively small increase in blood levels of IGF-1 are up to seven times more likely to develop breast cancer than women with lower levels.

IGF-1 that is consumed by human beings in dairy products is rapidly absorbed into the bloodstream. It isn’t destroyed by human digestion.

And pasteurization is no help. In fact, the pasteurization process actually increases IGF-1 levels in milk.

    What’s a consumer to do?

If at all possible, breast-feed your babies, and support breast-feeding friendly workplaces and other environments.

It’s hard to overstate the health advantages of breast-feeding for both mother and baby.

They are enormous, and particularly so today, when the possibility exists that commercially available infant formula could be contaminated with excess hormones.

If you are going to buy dairy products, try to get them from organic sources. Organic milk products by law can’t be produced with bovine growth hormone (BGH).

Or look for dairy products that specifically say they are produced without BGH (also called recombinant bovine somatotropin, or rBST).

Starbucks only uses dairy products that have not been produced with the hormone. Ben & Jerry’s ice cream likewise uses only milk and cream from dairy farms that have pledged not to use BGH.

If you’re going to eat cheese, remember that American-made cheeses are likely to be contaminated with BGH and excess levels of IGF-1 unless they’re organic or labeled BGH-free.

Most cheeses that are imported from Europe are safe, though, since much of Europe has banned the hormone.

Have you ever wondered why dairy products made from cows injected with the hormone aren’t labeled?

It’s because Monsanto, the original manufacturer of BGH, has aggressively and successfully lobbied state governments in the past to make sure that no legislation is passed that would require such labeling.

As if that wasn’t enough, Monsanto has also insistently sought to make it illegal for dairy products that are BGH-free to say so on their labels, unless the labels also included wording exonerating BGH.

How does Monsanto justify such a dangerous condition? They say that allowing retailers to tell consumers that a dairy product is BGH-free shouldn’t be allowed, even if it’s true, because it unfairly stigmatizes BGH.

Monsanto acts as though accurately labeling products would make them the victim of some irrational cultural bias. But the company’s products are, in fact, responsible for untold damage to human health.

My compassion is not for Monsanto. My heart goes out to the babies in China and their families, to the children in Puerto Rico and their families, and to the millions of others who have been or will be adversely affected by the abuse of hormones in dairy production.

  4. Zen Lill Says:

Ruth, there’s so much crap in cows milk, fortified with this, added vitey D, etc…I buy soy vanilla milk and mix it with either rice milk or almond milk (makes texture look the same as cows milk) and it tastes great. Many peeps are allergic to soy products but there is goats milk, rice, almond and hemp milk products our there. I know a few of my friends might just start chugging milk based on the growth : ) just kidding… : )

good q, one size fits all…hmmm, got me thinking they should make them all ‘Super’ nit in absorbency like tampons but super in their ability to grip even harder thus providing more pain for putting his penis where it was not invited to be…just a thought.

Anonz hasn’t written in to the blog in abiut 4-5 months, any word on his whereabouts or just, ugh, hate this q, is he verified to be alive and well?

    Reid v Angle Update

Dear Friend who Hates Harry Reid as Much as I Do,

When we last communicated about the Nevada race, Harry Reid had pounced on Sharron Angle as soon as she won the Republican primary and, using his vastly superior campaign war chest, had run negative ads accusing her of wanting to “phase out” Social Security and Medicare.

You answered my appeal for funds to rebut this harsh negative and we have been able to run upwards of $300,000 to do so due to your donations!

While Reid’s negative ads turned the polling around from an initial 10 point Angle lead to a 7 point Reid lead, our rebuttal has killed Reid’s lead and the race is now statistically a dead tie!

Without your help, Angle would have been lost.

Now its time to go over to the offensive!

If you want to get rid of Reid, please donate again (or for the first time) so that we may amass a war chest to give Angle back the lead, this time for good.

Our average donation has been $100, but please give more if you can and less if you want. We need help urgently. Reid has millions on hand. But with intelligent use of our resources (which I promise you I will do) a little money can go a very long way in defeating him.

    Thanks and stay tuned.

But it seems the repugs don’t care. They just want to win.

Is there any wonder our country fielded a republican party of crooks who sold our jobs to other countries, and gave control of the rest of the country to the bank, corporations and big pharma.

    Get out and vote people.

  8. General Info Says:

Do You Have Any of These Costly Money Habits?

    Spencer Sherman, CFP
    Abacus Wealth Partners, LLC

When it comes to our money, we all try to act rationally… yet we often fail. I call this phenomenon “money madness.”

Back when the economy was strong, our bad money habits might not have hurt us very much — but these days, financial irrationality can be much more costly. Here’s how to recognize if you have any of these five common forms of money madness — and how to cure them…

Gut player. You always trust your instinct on money matters. You hang on to stocks because you “have a good feeling about them” — even though their prices have become very high or have plunged way beyond the rest of the market’s dive.

You bought your house or your car because you “fell in love with it” — even though it cost more than you meant to spend.

Even experienced money pros sometimes fall into this trap — they convince themselves that their instincts are right, and therefore the numbers must be wrong.

Solution: Describe the situation to your spouse or a friend, and solicit his/her input. Money novices often ask the smart questions and raise the crucial topics that “money experts” fail to confront when they trust their instincts.

Home-run swinger. You want big, fast payoffs on your investments. You’re willing to take big risks to hit financial home runs.

Truth: It isn’t really big financial gains you’re after — it’s the adrenaline rush that comes from taking risks.

Solution: First, make a list of the times that you have tried for a big financial score and failed. Figure out and record how much each of these losses has cost you.

Next, set up a plan that automatically takes money from your bank account and puts it in a diversified portfolio of investments appropriate for your goals and time horizons. Any mutual fund company can help you do this.

An automatic plan takes future investment decisions largely out of your hands, making it more difficult for you to impulsively gamble with your savings.

Prisoner of spending. You waste money on things that you don’t need and run up credit card bills that you can’t afford to pay.

Solution: Take a one-month sabbatical from credit cards each year. You’ll likely discover that you don’t enjoy spending nearly as much when you have to hand over your hard-earned cash rather than just whip out a credit card.

And by the end of the month, you should have a better idea of what kinds of things you truly need.

Money mute. You can’t or won’t talk about your current financial situation, even with your spouse. This could be costing you money.

Examples: If you can’t tell your spouse that money is tight, he/she might overspend. If you can’t talk to other couples about your budget constraints, they might pressure you into spending more on activities, such as eating out, than you can afford.

If you don’t level with your accountant, insurance agent or investment adviser, you might incur penalties or take on more risk than you can tolerate.

Solution: Start a conversation by bringing up more general — and somewhat less stressful — financial topics, such as the state of the overall economy or even how money matters were handled in your family when you were a child. Then, in the same conversation or a follow-up, segue into your own current situation.

Alternatives: Ask your spouse to review the family’s finances with you so that he is able to share in your concerns. Discuss these topics first with a friend or mentor as practice for financial chats with others.

Consider communicating with financial advisers via e-mail, which many people find psychologically easier than discussing money matters face-to- face.
Money measurer. You regard each financial setback as a sign of personal failure and a character flaw.

Solution: “Measure” other aspects of your life as well, and you’re more likely to see that your finances are just one small part of who you are.

Example: Give yourself a one-to-10 score for each of the following, with 10 meaning that you have succeeded completely: your friendships… your family… your health… how much you enjoy your spare time… how much you enjoy your career… and how much you help others.

Next time you’re feeling bad about your battered investment accounts or what you consider to be unimpressive wages, put things in proper perspective by considering these other scores as well.

If your scores in these areas are lower than you would like, at least some of them can be quickly improved. Inviting acquaintances over for dinner can boost your friendship score… spending a Saturday volunteering with a charity can boost your “helping others” score.

  9. Health Info Says:

    Touch Reduces Stress

Married couples who give each other back rubs or touch each other affectionately in other ways for at least 30 minutes three times a week have 34% lower levels of stress. Researchers found that being affectionate releases the hormone oxytocin, which may protect against stress-related illnesses.
