Injustice and Bigotry At Its Best.

Wow. Once again, there is animosity that is flaring up on my blog. It just goes to show you that people are not truly citizens of the world…that there is still much hatred and pointing fingers between different countries. Or in this case most recently, countries pointing at us in hatred.
I think Doug has a good point. Use your power and bitch to the UN. If so many countries feel this way about the US, then band together and do something about it and stop complaining. If we’re going to have to be responsible for the officials that we elected, regardless of whether some of us elected them, you certainly have to be responsible for the officials you elected who are in bed with ours.
South Africa: Who said America was fair? Life isn’t fair; I’m sure everyone can agree. Unfair trials have been going on for years. Does that mean it is right? No. But you ‘opining’ about how quick we are to judge is right ‘back at ya’ when you admit that you are doing the same in your country to the blacks. We could keep going back and forth until we’re blue in the face. When you’re pointing out one finger at the perpetrator, how many fingers are pointing back at you? No one is innocent here. We have proven that we have a long way to go as a world society.
As far as O.J. is concerned, and writing about it on my blog…why the attack Lashkar Gah? Quick to comment on your men being cruel to you? I think not. Your men are cruel to you daily. I could’ve written about this years ago but I didn’t have this blog then….so sorry. I could write about it daily and I still would be too slow to get it out there.
You know as well as any other readers that I am pretty current when it comes to my blog, or at least I try my best to be. O.J. has been on my mind, and I have been reading and checking my sources in preparation of this write. I was planning on blogging about it today, Monday. Is that okay with you?
Okay, I don’t want to get heated like some of you are…So…onto the topic.
Doug and I went out to dinner last night with Elliot and Tracey and of course I wanted to ask Elliot what his thoughts were about O.J. and the recent trial. If you remember awhile back, I had blogged about a book that Elliot had given us, and a movie that he was promoting based on the innocence of O.J. For you newbie readers, the article that I blogged will tell you more about the movie. However, you might be especially interested in reading comment #6 from Tal our resident alien. He offered some very enligtening information about the murders that only few people would ever know.
Anyway, and like all of you readers that have commented, we all agreed that the trial was totally unfair. I mean how could you not think that? An all white trial! I mean really…a perfect jury for the prosecution. It was not possible to have a verdict other than ‘guilty’. The prosecution won the moment the jury was chosen. I don’t care how much one tries to find an unbiased jury, if you aren’t going to mix it up racially there is going to be bias and racism present. And the verdict proves there clearly was. If this was a white man on trial with an entire black jury, it would never fly. People would be screaming. But with O.J.: Totally acceptable. This is injustice and bigotry at its best.
There is no doubt in my mind that he did not have a fair trial. I mean to find him guilty on EVERY account; all 15! Come on….these jurors are bigots. They, like many people out there, wanted him convicted. All they can remember is the trial 13 years ago. For years they have believed from the get go that he was guilty. Forget that he went to trial. Forget that there wasn’t any evidence to prove that he was guilty. He did not ‘get off’; O.J. was acquitted! But people already had made up there minds long ago and for years they have been waiting for this moment to convict him. And as Spain pointed out, ‘This was an old fashioned lynching.’ I agree. These jurors are all just feeling quite smug knowing that no one else could convict O.J., and they did.
For months now I have had the idea of having a guest blogger write on my blog. I have never invited anyone but after speaking with Elliot last night I thought he would be an excellent person to add to the mix here today. Elliot was glued to the media when it came to the O.J. trial. He has always felt that O.J. was innocent and has for years been expressing his thoughts. When he discovered that Doug and I felt the same way, our common interest engaged us all in some interesting conversation.
So last night I asked Elliot to write something up…thoughts that he would want to share with you. Elliot is a local writer, a film instructor, and a good friend of ours. So here it is:
Back in February of this year there were a number of comments made on this site regarding O.J. Simpson’s original 1995 murder trial. The comments sprang forth as a result of a then current documentary film called THE OVERLOOKED SUSPECT. In that film (as well as the book that inspired it) author / private investigator William Dear proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that O. J. Simpson did not—repeat, DID NOT—kill Nicole Simpson and Ronald Goldman. Mr. Dear doesn’t merely speculate this assertion, but provides shocking, hard evidence (the result of a painstaking, twelve year investigation) that proves conclusively that the actual killer was Jason Simpson, O. J.’s tremendously troubled (then) 24-year-old son from his first marriage. Jason’s motives were complicated and tinged with tragic implications worthy of Shakespeare: O. J. willingly stood trial for a pair of crimes he knew his son had committed. The fact that he was acquitted of thesecrimes in a court of law somehow eluded the American public and for the past thirteen years the vast majority of white America has clung to the belief that O. J. is a vicious, cold-blooded murderer. It has been nearly impossible to find anyone who believes otherwise. Unless of course they either read William Dear’s book or saw the film. And sadly, very few people have because very few people care to have their belief systems overturned.
Now, thirteen years to the day later, O.J. Simpson has been found guilty of no fewer than twelve felony counts including kidnapping, robbery and coercion (all with a deadly weapon) stemming from an incident in Las Vegas in September 2007. The Goldmans (family members of Ron Goldman) are already gloating over the fact that their ongoing harassment of Simpson actually led him to commit the Las Vegas crimes leaving open the suspicion that they might have been party to a blatant set-up that virtually assured an arrest. O. J. will be sentenced on December 5 and could very likely be put away for life. Millions of white Americans will deliriously claim that justice has been served and that a deranged murderer will finally get what he deserves. The sad truth is that an innocent man has most likely been set-up (literally) by bloodthirsty, vindictive ghouls determined to satisfy their own sick desires. This is a shameful moment of which no one should feel the slightest bit proud. We live in a nation that supports the suppression of truth and encourages hatred against minority races and the Simpson saga is ample proof of this.
It’s time for people to put aside their preconceived notions and acknowledge the truth about O.J. Simpson. For clarification on the 1994 killings, I seriously recommend obtaining a copy of William Dear’s book O. J. IS GUILTY BUT NOT OF MURDER or watching the film based on it, THE OVERLOOKED SUSPECT. Information can be found at www.theoverlookedsuspect.com .
Well said Elliot! The one thing I never thought of in this case was that the Goldman family could be behind the set up as Elliot pointed out. Did that occur to any of you out there? It looks like they finally got their payback.
I have to say that I truly feel sorry for O.J. And I doubt that I am the majority here. It was not enough to convict him in their minds even though he was acquitted of murder. It was not enough that he has had to live with many people feeling that he ‘got off’ and he should be in jail. No they had to convict him by giving him an unfair trail with a jury that had made their minds up 13 years ago.
Thanks Elliot for sharing your mind!
Readers: I have heard of from some of you already. Anyone else? Blog me.
Hey Anonz: I just saw your comment – will read later…I am running late and I must post.
Peace everyone.
Gratefully your blog host,

Travel Insurance
Edward Hasbrouck
Insurers would love to “protect” you every step of the way the next time you take a trip, but only some of the coverage is worthwhile…
WORTH THE COST
Trip cancellation and interruption coverage. This insurance can be especially worthwhile if you or travelers accompanying you must cancel an expensive prepaid vacation or end the trip early. Coverage costs from 5% to 10% of the trip’s expense.
Most insurers require that you buy this coverage at the same time you book your vacation or within a few days. Study the policy’s fine print to see what circumstances it covers.
Usually covered: An injury, illness or death of an immediate family member back home or on the trip… an emergency, such as a death in the family, before the trip starts. It doesn’t matter if a preexisting medical condition causes the cancellation.
Some policies will reimburse your costs if a destination becomes too dangerous because of a terrorist attack or war. Policies typically cover the costs that remain after you obtain refunds, if any, from a tour operator, cruise line, airline or other parties.
Medical evacuation coverage. If a medical emergency strikes that requires an air ambulance, you could end up paying thousands of dollars. Consider buying a medical evacuation policy (usually $100 to $200 per person annually) that covers unlimited trips for one year. One version of this coverage entitles you to fly to any hospital in the world on a medical aircraft.
PROBABLY DON’T NEED
Missing or stolen luggage coverage. Most homeowner’s insurance policies cover lost luggage. If yours doesn’t provide enough coverage, you can ask your insurer about purchasing a rider.
On international flights, airlines are required to pay up to $9.07 per pound for lost checked luggage and up to $400 per passenger for carry-ons. For domestic flights, the overall limit is $3,000 per passenger.
Travel medical insurance. Most regular health insurance policies and health maintenance organizations provide coverage for policyholders traveling in the US and for trips overseas if they are less than 30 days long. Exception: You may want specialized travel medical coverage if your existing plan doesn’t cover areas on your itinerary.
Rental car insurance. In the US and Canada, most auto policies cover a rental car, usually for up to 30 days. Many credit cards will cover the deductible for theft and damage of the rental car — or the entire amount if you don’t have auto insurance coverage — up to certain dollar limits and time periods, often 31 days. Overseas, your auto insurance does not cover rental cars, but many credit cards cover theft and damage of the rental.

Hi Mischa, I remember this trial clearly, and Tal’s commentary very clearly, never did see this video though. There is one very good reason why people including myself were willing to buy in so easily, he’d been know to beat the wife. Right there you get the go F yourself from this woman, there’s NO excuse for that, it’d been in magazines on a few occasions, I’m thinking (and this was long ago) that she’d called the police and ended up dropping the charges on hubby (as many battered women do) – then as we discussed yesterday aft, the not uncommon practice of police botching investigations/planting evidence and as my theory stands – cops 90% of the time deal with the fringe of society, they are jaded/stressed to their capacity (add the instant machismo boost of that uniform, it’s a recipe for disaster in most cases) and police in general have high levels of alcoholism and/or domestic violence or both. Trust me on this, my daddy was a cop for 30 years.
They will plant evidence if they think it’ll move along a trial to conviction, botches happen very regularly, all an idiot cop has to do is forget (or be too jacked up on adrenalin) to read the entire Miranda Rights and it’s over, you can be in process of hacking a body into parts, but the MR’s must be read here in the US.
The system isn’t fair but it is ‘innocent till proven guilty’ leaving prosecution with the burden of proof to bring about a verdict, that’s where ‘reasonable doubt’ enters also…I know there are parts of the world where it is ‘guilty until proven innocent’ and I’m sure this system is flawed in a variety of other ways. It’s not all fair, that’s just a dream some of us had.
Now, OJ’s color (sorry we’re all the same race as far as I am concerned) played a part but do not forget how famous OJ the celebrity was (I used to say regularly ‘pulling an OJ’ which meant running so late you’re literally running, part of a very famous commercial by a very famous football player) and add his ‘dream team’ of high profile atty’s (people HATE having the I’m-so-rich-I-can-buy-the-best-counsel ploy, and that’s universal be you black or white, yellow, green or purple) now add the botched investigation the glove, the Kato factor, etc…and the known ‘he’s a batterer’ thing and you’ve got some deep prejudices intermingled. If he was a white dude I’d have said screw him, based on the batterer thing solely.
I won’t go on but I will say that I’ll be addressing the jury of peers on my own blog, have some commentary and don’t want to take up all of Mischa’s space : )
South Africa, my SA friend admitted his parents were/are very prejudice, that they were once tghe struggling emerging culture (Dutch Boors/Africaans) and had been looted and had property destroyed 8 times before moving off their farm to elsewhere, they still have a wall for protection against uprisings and keep guns in several places in their home. He has no such feelings but he’s been living here for many years now and did not live through the violent stages ever and of 1994 in particular. Mischa and Doug already expressed my other sentiments re: ourselves AND other world citizens, not us vs or we’re better than other world citizens, that is not my inner sentiments, at all.
Anonz, babe, that part is understood. It’s just disappointing to me that you do not read and respond to what’s asked, ex. Oct 4 comment 3, or my blog, not feeling ‘heard’ sweet pea, not feeling the ‘luv’ – busyiness in the game you’re playing aside, attention to detail (and people) in life is important, I wouldn’t want to ever be so jaded that I say ‘been there, done that’ to you but I must say after enough of that neglect/inattentiveness disappointment in a marriage I am so unwilling to do a repeat even with a darling bloggin’ baby like you : ) please take all of this in the spirit it is meant, will you do that? Your sweetness would appreciate that, Lady Lilly, and we wouldn’t want to have to remove your ‘life protection’ and let you free wheel it to prove a point, now would we Misch, hahaha, just kidding, sweet pea, just kidding…

I can’t seem to get in…
October 6th, 2008 at 11:13 am
Let’s try again…
My heart sank when I learned of this atrocity. From the onset, I initially thought that there was a set up involved in all of this. OJ has made some bad decisions in his life and has been involved with some people on the wrong side of the tracks at times, but these qualities and lifestyles do not make one a criminal in their own right.
For that matter, Bush and his cronies have had numerous friends and associates be found to have much criminal behavior and some of which are now behind bars. With this process of thought, to which has made OJ a criminal, then subsequently Bush is one. But then we did know this…So, perhaps that is not the best example for that point…but I digress!
There is some relative thought patterns to this discussion on my blog today found by clicking my name. Social, sexual, racial, and economic behaviors and the differences that face our world today permeate the motion and progress of society at large. The macro and micro differences between individuals and corporations, blacks and whites, rich and poor are discussed at length in the book “Mobs, Messiahs, and Markets”, and “Bionomics” which I
discuss in detail.
Through the emotional baggage this society has held for 13 years, the only healing would be to find OJ guilty of anything, at this point. With the racial bias of the white jury, in a highly touted political swing state to which Obama has had his work cut out for him, it went without saying. The radical racial populace in this United States is seeing the polls show that this black man, Obama, is gaining ground in the overall outlook for election success. Since they are finding it more and more trying to NOT have him be elected, they will go for another symbol to the black community to strike down with vengeance.
A quote from the movie Pulp Fiction, where Jules (Samuel Jackson) says, “The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the iniquities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he, who in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother’s keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee.

Cant say much, commenting from cellphone. This whole oj thing i believe is just another reminder that despite all efforts, racism still alive. Its like they was looking for a way to “get him”, and they did get him. His book on how if would have done it didnt do his reputation any justice – and the affected felt disrespected. It was like rubbing it in their faces, and we all know after the hustle, getting help for the set up would be easy. They got their man, and gosh, did it have to be so obvious-same date?

Sweet pea, you may respond whereever you prefer, here or my site, wherever feels more comfortable to you. I’m glad you showed up to respond, thank you – Lady Lilly
My world sisters, by your request ‘The rap on both of OJ’s trials and the “jury of peers” BS, I mean concept’ do as you will with the content, agree/shred me, what have you…some of my comments from above are in there for my readers that do not originate from here to get the drift of the post.
Mischa, I probably should’ve included the link to your OJ page but I’m too tired to look through your archives and post it right now, if someone requests it and I’m sure they will, I’ll do it. So, do I believe it was all a man of color thang, I believe the combo of the above background info plus ten years later this trial inc venue/jury/judge (both of those last 2 j’s – jurors and judge were racially motivated) did the man in, read by clicking on Zen Lill above.
Oh…and sisters, I have several black girlfriends, they have informed me that a male being black does not automatically give him a giant swinging one, though if of average size they got rythm and a slow groove on their side to fall back on, hahaha, two of my girls are married to white men. Hey, I leave no stone unturned for you, I make phone calls and ask stupid and embarrassing questions all the time. There’s something about me that allows me to get away with this juvenile behavior with most of my friends : ) mostly the long termers and I have many of those. I’m lucky/fortunate that way.
