“O” Stands For “Order” And….

Posted by Michelle Moquin on 28th January 2009

Whew – What a day yesterday! Who opened the flood gates?!

Did I not mention that ‘order’ was on its way? Yep…’O’ stands for ‘order’ and for ‘Obama’.  I truly believe that if Obama was not president, our planet, not just our country, would perish. And from what the TAO has informed me of, if Obama was not president, they most likely would let us destroy ourselves regardless of the fact that we are a cattle planet. So, whether you ‘believe’ or not…we have reason to be more thankful than we will ever know. I, myself was ready to leave this popsicle stand if it were not for Obama.  Thankfully he is president.  However, we too must do our part. Speaking of…

…To all of you out there who just hate seeing a black man succeed, hate the fact that Obama, a black man, is the one who can inspire change in this world…..hate knowing that a black man has risen in power….to those of you who would rather see the destruction of the world than let the black race get ahead and shine…..I know how difficult it is for you sociopaths (Yes, that is what I consider you) in this world -  I am speaking to you John, Charles, and all of those racists who hide behind the title of ‘conservative’…it is time that you and your ideologies take a hike.  The private party for the white people is over. We’re mixing it up now.

Yes, there is a new president  in town and he’s got a pair bigger than you’ll ever have.

~~~~~~~~
Hi Robert: Welcome. It’s good to be intrigued. I found your comment ‘interesting’. You are a black man yet you refer to ‘the boy’ – am I correct to assume you mean Obama? Hmm…I look forward to hearing more from you. I wish you luck in getting in.
Hello Abaan, Chaghcharan, Jyoti, Jeevika, and Anonymous: Yes, Obama will be a president of many firsts. His concern is for the world, not just the US. When he says that he wants us to be world citizens, his inclusive actions back up those words. He walks the talk. He is an inspiration to the entire world. If people have a tendency to follow…if we need someone to lead us, he is the one.
Hi Dafne:  Is this the same Dafne that has commented before. If so…welcome back. Where did we find him? Who knows, but he is certainly a gift.
Do I sound like a woman obsessed with Obama? Is he our modern day Jesus? Whether you believe in God or not,  is there anything wrong with having a strong faith in someone? Yes he is one man, but he is one extraordinary man. Why not believe that he can do amazing things? Why not believe in the power of one?  I believe in collective thinking. I believe that if we all have faith, and believe, AND participate, we can make the changes that we desire in spite of those around us that would rather see us impoverished…that would rather hold us down and controlled,  than strong, alive and abundant. Let’s take a chance…step out of our comfort zone,  and ‘believe’.  What harm could it bring? But more importantly look at all that is possible if we do ‘believe’.
Hello Paul: Thank you. :)
Anonymous/Secret Lesbian:  Ha! You make me laugh. I hope that someday you will reveal your true self and be free from the restraints of society and family. Accept yourself as you are and others will accept you too. And if they don’t, fuck ‘em. Life is too short…Live it as you desire. When you do, come find me and I will give you another hug and this time it will be in celebration of you being you. :)
Hello fans in New Mexico and the honorary, ‘girlz’ of Kentucky: Thank you for the birthday wishes – sending love back to all of you.
Hello Zen Lill: Welcome back! love that ‘life sentence’ – too funny. I am off today. I will call you.
Ohh…I would love to address all of you today but I need to go. I’ll check back in as usual tomorrow and we’ll chat some more.
Enjoy your day!
It is the small, every day actions that create the makeup of our lives
Posted by Michelle Moquin on 21st January 2009
So how does it feel?  I mean having a new president? I can tell you that I feel that same as millions of others out there….overjoyed!
However, my day yesterday started off not exactly how I wanted it to start. I went to work disappointed that I was working so early and not being able to see and be in the mix of the excitement with Doug, and my friends.  I wanted to watch Obama’s speech and him taking the oath ‘live’. Yes, I knew that I could watch it later on youtube etc., but this was such a momentous time, historical…I wanted to ‘be there’ as much as I could, which meant experiencing it as ‘live’ as I could possibly, without actually being there.
So off I went to work, expecting to at least watch it online, all of us coworkers excitedly gathered around the computer. But to my disappointment, our computers were not set up that way. I work for a new company and we aren’t even open for business yet, so things aren’t quite ready. ‘Okay’, I thought, ‘I’ll listen to Obama on the radio.’ Wrong. ipods dominate here – no radio. ‘Shit! What do I do now?’ A few of us excited about the speech were really bummed.
To make a long story short, I busily started working till I heard that some electrician in the building had a radio and Obama was 5 minutes into his speech. I quickly went over to the department head and asked her if I could take a break and listen to the speech on the radio. My coworkers were silent. She looked at me, asked me how many hours I was working. I answered her.  She hemmed and hawed a bit and said that if it was more than 10 minutes, I needed to clock out. Yes, I have to admit, it is very humbling to not have my time be my own anymore.  I haven’t had to punch a time clock in, I don’t know how many years. (Maybe I’ll blog about this at a later time.)
And now I am being told that I have to punch out in order to watch one of the most important events in my life. Okay, I can accept that you are corporate and you feel you need to play by the rules (yuch). But c’mon,  this is not something that happens every day. Can you bend a little? This company has no problem celebrating a birthday and having everyone break for cake. Yet, today, at this very moment, we are celebrating a new president – something this world has been anticipating and she can’t give a little more support, create some camaraderie between this new team of employees.  It blew me away.
How cool it would’ve been if she had just stopped everyone from their busy work and encouraged us to take a break and watch history in the making. If she herself had acknowledged the moment that she walked in that morning, that this was a special day and that if anyone was interested in listening to Obama, she supported us taking the time to do so. Even if she said, ‘I have to have you punch out but please do so if this is important to you because I know how important of a day this is.’
But no. No such words came out of her mouth. I felt like I was asking her to take a week off with pay. Everyone there felt the uncomfortable vibe, and no one said a word. I eventually walked away to listen to Obama’s speech on this small hand held radio, sitting next to it, a small Gumby-type figurine of Obama that one of the stock guys propped down for effect. It made me laugh as I and two electricians intensely listened while my co-workers missed out.
I lost a lot of respect for this woman yesterday. I like her still, but her actions revealed more about her that I was not aware of until then. She had an opportunity to shine, an opportunity to create something in this new work environment and she missed the boat. She was playing by the book. Yeah she may have gotten some flack from corporate, if they ever found out that the entire staff stopped working for 20 minutes to celebrate Obama. But I doubt it. And even if she did, how difficult would it be to stand up for her ‘team’ for such an historical event?  Who cares if she voted for Obama or not. In her small-mindedness, she couldn’t see past her own corporate concerns to do the right thing. In her small-mindedness she was thinking of herself, her control position, and not her team.
In my mind, her actions didn’t reflect ‘unity’, something that Obama is striving to inspire in this country. Her actions created separateness and I feel they will have a bigger impact on her staff than she is presently aware of. Am I being too hard on her? I don’t think so. It is the small, every day actions that create the makeup of our lives. If we are to live in the now, in the moment, then each moment has meaning and purpose.  Each action is a reflection of ourselves and that reflection has an impact on those around us. We have a responsibility to think and make conscious choices and take conscious actions. Enough said.
In spite of my morning I did enjoy the speech. Our country has a long way to go but I am hopeful and optimistic. And I am inspired to be a better person because I want Obama to be a successful president. He can’t do it all on his own unless we are united and doing our part too.
So last night, Doug and I gathered with a few of our dear friends and celebrated hope and change…and of course toasted our new president Obama.
Readers: How was your evening – anything exciting you want to share? Blog me.
*******
Zen Lill: I love Ghandi’s quote too. It is so relevant and always will be. And again, you are speaking of unity and doing our part.  I agree.
Hi Carmen and Maria: You’re welcome. It was difficult doing the research but I learned so much in the process. Enlightening but very disturbing.  More fuel for my fire. As far as Madaline is concerned…I have hope that there will be a better way than elimination
Love Sees Past….
Posted by Michelle Moquin on 18th January 2009
Watch CBS Videos Online
I have always loved animals and it may sound strange or even cold-hearted when I say that my affinity for them is much stonger than my feelings for many humans. I’m not sure why. I just feel a need to protect and care for those that don’t have a voice in this human world.
Their love is so selfless…so unconditional…they are so nonjudgemental. They have no prejudices…one does not think that one is better than the other. Yes….there is an order…the food chain, but that is survival and has nothing to do with the differences between the beings. When it comes to killing, there is no hate…only pure animal hunger, brought on by the need to survive.
And in many cases (thanks to our technology), I have seen two animals love and admire each other in miraculous ways, that in some cases go against their nature and inspire us. The video above is one of these.  Besides their four legs, they don’t have much in common, but what they do share is a loving companionship and genuine care for each other. Oh, how I wish that humans could be so loving and respectful of each other…be in awe of and embrace the differences instead repelling and pushing away.
Readers: Do you judge others because they are so different from you? How boring if we were all the same. We can not change each other but we can change our reaction to each other. How can you reach out to someone that is so different from yourself, and have a positive impact on their life today? How will you act today towards others that is different than your usual?
My usual is pretty open and accepting. And I need to get back to that. Lately…for me, I have been a bit frustrated in my life. Therefore I am losing my patience with others because I am impatient with myself. I expect a lot from myself, and lately I am expecting a lot from others that maybe is beyond their own aspirations. And of course, those that are closest to me get the brunt of it. I know…these actions/reactions are not fair and it doesn’t feel good to either party.  I am aware and I am working on it by being present, getting conscious when I feel the frustration rise, and changing my reaction. It isn’t always easy…It takes effort….meaning, it takes the desire of wanting to be a better person combined with conscious action. It can be challenging, but hey I love a good challenge. :)
What effort will you make today? Want to share? Blog me. Otherwise…have a beautiful Sunday, and I’ll catch you tomorrow.
Cultivate Love
Posted by Michelle Moquin on 14th January 2009
Hello again Carmen:  Happy that you got in to be able to say more. I first have to say how grateful I am that I started my blog a year and a half ago. However it is somewhat bittersweet. I love the fact that I am able to converse with so many people around the world and yet I am exposed to so much more than I would be just watching the news. Don’t get me wrong though, Information is power and the more information, the more knowledge, that I have at my fingertips…the more atrocities that I am exposed to, the more I know I/we have to do more for this planet, especially the women.
Your story is different and yet the outcome is the same. Women are subjected to the brutalities of men on a daily basis. I really was living in a bubble when it came to knowing about my sisters around the world.  Yes, I knew that life for many women was a hard life but I had no idea just how difficult it was and that most of their daily struggles and ‘challenges’ (put very mildly) was due to the simple fact that they were not supported or treated equally by the men that supposedly loved them.
On my way to work yesterday I tuned into NPR and caught Hillary Clinton and Nancy Pelosi in some sort of ‘disgussion’.  My new word because what they were discussing was absolutely disgusting. Pictures were involved but being on the radio I was happy that I did not have to view them. The descriptions were enough for me to want to rip someone’s eyes out. In fact, one young girls did have her eye gauged out. Why? Because she was too pretty. I don’t need to go into more. My point being that…and I will steal Hillary’s words because they were very on point: ‘This isn’t custom. This isn’t culture. This is criminal.’  How true of a statement.  I wish that I could’ve heard the rest of the ‘disgussion’, even though the subject was not pleasant whatsoever, it needs to be talked about and action needs to happen.  Not tomorrow, but today, NOW.
And the more that I hear the stories of so many women and how they would gladly hand over their men to Madaline, it saddens me. Because women are not innately about hate and vengeance; they are about love and care. Their true nature has been buried deep and if their men only knew what they were missing…if they only knew how to cultivate their relationships, love and care for the women in their lives, they would be given the world and treated like kings by their women. And their women would relish in their natural spirit.
The devotion of women cannot be penetrated when she is loved and supported and protected.  I know this because I am this way. I am a one man woman and when I feel protected and loved and cherished, respected, supported and valued….I am his forever. And in return, he gets the best of me; my innate love is limitless. It is not, ‘If you are this way, I will be this way.’ No, it is not conditional.  It is more environmental…when I have a solid foundation, or rich soil, my love and care grows endlessly. Women don’t need the perfect environment. Just like a flower…it will grow naturally, even planted in contaminated soil and surrounded by weeds. But give it a little water, enrich its soil, nurture it…and it will blossom into something so abundant and beautiful, one would be crazy not to care for it forever, for the love and joy one would receive in return. A woman’s love if experienced in full blossom is addictive, intoxicating, and contagious….all in a good way. A woman’s love can change the world if cultivated.
I know I may sound dramatic or maybe it is because I am just such a romantic and I believe so deeply in the power of love. It seems so simple. If only men could see how stupid they are for abusing women physically and trying to keep a woman powerless and dumb…intellectually and emotionally stunted. They are so missing out in their lives.
And as you mentioned Zen Lill ‘Intellectual foreplay’. Yes, that is so desired and required.  Pure animal sex is good but short lived. One wants to be able to have an intellectual conversation before and after. I was watching ‘Brothers and Sisters’ – the television show the other night, and they had a perfect example of ‘intellectual foreplay’. The two involved both got so turned on by their conversation, that had nothing to do with sex, that within minutes, the office door was locked and they were locked in each other’s arms. Loved it! Women want this and I think men do too, but are intimidated by it….afraid that their woman might be smarter than they are…making them look bad. So what? Get over it.  I have more to say but I am already a bit off subject. I look forward to your two.
Anyway, I got a little carried away in the moment Carmen. I did not mean to run in that direction but evidently I felt the need.  I will research South America and since requested by Alita, I will make Mexico a priority.
Bitches Rock:  Love the name! I am sure that if Madaline is reading this she will take your request seriously. As far as becoming a GirlZ…time will tell. LOL at the ‘spading’ line!
Carlos: As I said awhile back…“Man’s deep-rooted instinct to survive, and the means that he has chosen, will be to his demise.”  So be accountable for your actions…it is YOU who is responsible for the outcome of your future.
Oh…just caught your last comment. Haha!! A little frightened are we? Think about all of the women out there who are frightened on a daily basis because of the things their men do to them. See what it is like for one moment in your life. Are you still ready to whip a bitche’s ass or have you a change of mind? Where’s your bark now? A bit of an attitude adjustment when you know that some bitch could whip your ass eh?  No Maddie will not touch you but I do hope this little lesson makes you think. But my guess is, it won’t. Oh…if it was that easy….
Got to run.
A Paranormal ‘Incident’?
Posted by Michelle Moquin on 13th January 2009
I wonder if our friends in the UK have been trying to post here? I just got a heads up about the ‘Octopus UFO’ that flew in the sky and collided into a wind turbine a week ago, ripping off one of its 65-foot blades!
Hmm….is Azza back in town or just our Madaline having a little too much fun? Or something else? Oh…please chime in and make yourself known. We would love to know more of the details!
It has been reported by people living in a nearby town of Lincolnshire (Oh love that name; it is just so Brit!), that strange orangey-yellow lights were headed in the direction of the said wind farm earlier in the evening.  And then surprise!  Those same peeps were awakened at 4 am by the sounds of crashing and smashing…the wind turbine was getting chewed up in a bad way.
“It looked like a giant explosion in the air,” said one local. Another witness said he saw a “massive ball of light with tentacles going right down to the ground. … It was huge. With the tentacles it looked just like an octopus.” Hundreds have reported seeing the same phenomenon.
An Octopus eh? Now, too bad we don’t have a photo. Out of all of those people woken up by this monstrosity, no one bothered to grab a camera to document this exciting event? Bummer.
So it appears that one blade was completely torn off the giant windmill, and has yet to be found. While the remaining blade was totally mangled. Ha!…It looks just like one of my forks that fell into the garbage disposal one time.
UFO experts “are very excited” by the prospect that the crash could have been caused by a paranormal incident.
Incident? Not sure I would call that an ‘incident’. Unless the UFO thought it was getting into a skirmish with another type of ship. Or it was alien who thought he could wrestle the being with the whirling blade-like appendages. (Can you see the visual?) No I wouldn’t call it an ‘incident; more like a paranormal ‘accident’. I think it’s funny.
Readers:  What about you? Comments? blog me. (Especially if you are from the UK – would love to hear about your experience.)
Hi Zen Lill:  No biggie – happy that you were having fun with Miss Lily. I love riding go-carts, and yes I am laughing the entire time too – Doug is the driver and all I do is scream and laugh – it is so much fun! Maybe we will go soon Doug?
Thank you for saying all that you said. I was a bit surprised to hear such words from you. Delighted of course that I could be that for you. Thank you for saying so. It is my lifetime goal to inspire others…not necessarily to be like me – how boring that would be…However if you recognize certain things in me, know that you hold these too :) lol..you are too busy being you to be me! Be you – you are perfect as you are.
Hello D’r'fa:  I am sorry but thank you for trying…seems you did get in…finally. May peace and safety be yours soon.
Hello Nadia: If ZL wants to repost it here for you, that is fine with me.
Hi Croe:  I have heard the same and was just ‘disgussing’ that same topic with Doug last night. That’s my new word…a morphing of ‘disgusting’ and ‘discussing’ – saved for topics of discussion that disgust me. And Bush fits the bill. Oh, I hope he takes a nice long vacation in a foreign country that doesn’t treat their criminals so kindly.
Hi Phillip:  Good to hear from you. Interesting comment.  I get what you mean. And, I agree with you. Although he did say that he aspired to be a dictator, I don’t think that he has the brains to ‘contemplate’ being a dictator either. You’re thinking logically – which is good. But you’re forgetting that Bush isn’t very logical.
My point is…does it matter whether he has the brains to contemplate it or not? He doesn’t have the brains to be a president either but he was voted in twice! As long as he surrounds himself with the right puppeteers, the strings will be pulled and shit will get done. – that has been proven. So, if the American people were stupid enough to vote him in twice, I wouldn’t put it past them to help him in his aspirations should he ever get the opportunity. The fact that he blatantly said that and nothing was written about it in the media – no one said a word….Except for Doug sitting next to me in shock, and  now Carmen’s comment from yesterday), the American people have expressed their ‘boneheadedness’ again. And yes, I’m making up my own word again…but it works doesn’t it? :)
hello Lashkar Gar: I hear you loud and clear. And I too am wishing for our oil independence, not only for us but also for the many women whose lives need to desperately change. You have my support too and I am grateful for yours.
Hi Gereshk:  Good to hear from you. I know how true it is as I have read and heard the stories from others just like your brother. It is so sad and disturbing to know that this atrocity breathes on a daily basis. I hope that my column and others like it can help but I know more must be done besides making people aware. Awareness is only the beginning.
How narrow-minded that the Islamic council thinks that I am anti Islamic. Far from it. Just another excuse to control their women. What I am is anti slavery and anti rape..and really any type of abuse to their women and children. I am for women’s rights and that means I am for them loosing control of their said property.  Oh I know that just doesn’t sit well with the Islamic men.  Control is a biggie.
To the rest of my readers who posted a comment yesterday: I apologize that I cannot address you today – work calls, but I promise tomorrow I will speak to you.
peace out….
Gratefully your blog host,
michelle
