Trump is no clown

Good morning!

Lawrence O’Donnell Gets Letter From Donald Trump (Video)

Lawrence O’Donnell received one of Donald Trump’s infamous letters, and on his Friday show, he took the opportunity to savage Trump yet again.

Trump is well-known for sending critics angry letters, or press clippings with multiple handwritten notes on them. In the past few months, he sent a blistering letter to New York Times columnist Gail Collins, as well as one to Vanity Fair.

O’Donnell pointed out that (until Friday, at least) Trump had never sent him any such letters—odd, given the gleefully contemptuous way that O’Donnell targeted Trump during his public flirtation with a presidential run and his embrace of birtherism.

O’Donnell speculated that this was because Trump “knows I’m right about everything I say about him.”

Now, though, O’Donnell had a full packet of documents to share. Trump had sent him a print-out of a Dana Milbank column and written on it, “Lawrence, thanks for all your help. Best Wishes, Donald. P.S.: See you in the spring,” along with some other scribbles and underlinings of a section of the column that said NBC had offered him $60 million to stay on “The Apprentice.”

O’Donnell responded by attacking Trump’s claim that he is a billionaire. He played a clip of Trump saying that the reason he decided to stay on television was because NBC was “calling me on an hourly basis offering me all sorts of money to continue with ‘The Apprentice.’”

“Donald Trump just told you that the reason he didn’t run for president was the money,” O’Donnell said. “This from a guy who pretends to be a billionaire.”

Flap Your Lips Friday

Posted by Michelle Moquin on 10th June 2011

Good morning!

I woke up this morning feeling pretty sleepy, somewhat like this kitty. It’s Friday and I wanted to post something sweet to swing us into the weekend. I think this does just that. If you haven’t seen it, it will put a smile on your face, and warm up your heart. How could it not? Enjoy.

Doug: Thanks for the above video and for posting the info on the dolphins. This info is so distressing. I can ‘t even imagine how the dolphins must feel. To capture and kill all for the sake of entertainment is just too cruel. I HOPE this comes to an end.  I signed too.

Zen Lill: Now why would anyone miss your post in 2009, when they have the pleasure of you wit here daily? :)

Anna Of Guam: Why is it even necessary to put that crap in drinks anyway? To make it cheap. It seems like it is getting to the point that only those who have lots of money will get pure food, if there is even such a thing anymore. Those who can’t afford it will be buying cheap processed foods and digesting dangerous chemicals. Once again the love of money is more important than the love for human lives. Hafa Adai.

Social Butterfly: Thanks for your comments, and additional info. I wish it wasn’t so, but it wouldn’t be surprising. It has been said here quite a few times that “cops are thugs with guns”, as  Robert reminded us in his comments.

So let’s see, we have the Job description of a cop held to a “higher standard” than a citizen, and the police force themselves making it tempting for rapists, racists, thieves etc., to apply for a cop position because of the known  ”code of silence”.

Like you said Robert, one can easily imagine what type of person would apply for this position.  So why not apply? They have more of a chance as a cop than the average citizen when they basically get to live out their bad ways and a pretty good chance of getting away with it.  It really is scary.

Uryte, Lori, Morri, Kreg: I just have to jump in and say something. As much as I am cringing over the pleasure that all of you had, I am also amused by your chronicles. It sounds like quite the feast, and nothing different from how we humans talk about a delightful dinner together.

However, Lori, your last comment took me by surprise. I went from enjoying the read to being quite intrigued by your story, your last comment.  No doubt from your experiences as a young girl one would turn against the human male. Many girls who have written in here, lived through similar experiences,  and with no doubt feel the same way.

When you met this alien, what did he ask you to do to help turn the tide for the arabs? It seems to me he was not happy with your response, hence, you are now a vampire.  What magic did he do that day? Did you ever see him again after you awoke? I know…lots of questions, but your story, as well as those of Uryte, Morris, and Kreg seems to have left me with more questions to ask. If any of you feel like sharing more, I know I am not the only one who is interested.

Lea: I will try to look into it, but no promises that I will be able to comply with your request. Hafa Adai.

Prism Princess: Happy to hear that Roi is well. And you’re welcome.

Readers: Like I said, it’s Friday…

Peace Out.

This ‘N That Chitchat

Good morning!

So…for the last 3 weeks or so, Doug and I have been heading to a different internet cafe on Sunday so that I can blog. Does that mean we have made this a habit now? Hmm..I suppose so. And I like it…the change of atmosphere…a new place every Sunday…new music to either like or not…

…new people to check out – some guy just walked in with his pj pants on: dark sky blue with a print of stars and stripes electric guitars. Not exactly my version of “indoor outdoor wear-me-anywhere pajamas”. (that’s an inside comment reserved for those who are familiar with my sleepwear designs:) Anyway, on  a scale of 1-10,  I currently rank this place a 5. We’ll see how I feel after I’ve been here for awhile.

Lisa: I felt the same way…couldn’t get through the entire tape. I just wanted to reach through the video and tell the so-called 911 people to send the fucking ambulance NOW. Just thinking about the angst that woman went through, is just so disconcerting.

Maria: I know this happens more than we hear. The transparency of the internet affords us this knowledge…so that we can spread it, blog it, and Hopefully put a stop to it.

Frank: Thanks for informing us of the new bill. This practice is just sickening and must stop. Here’s a little write just in case you or my readers are interested.

Tao: Roi, Viv – how are you both? I really enjoyed the story and I am so curious who this knockout redhead is. But no doubt, her name will not be revealed. What a smart cookie – Pun intended. And…with 341 years left on this planet, I’m sure her chronicles will be interesting. Hey…Red: If you’re reading….and you ever get tired of this planet, let me know. I could use a girl like you on my ship.

Mindy: There is lots wrong, and somebody who is somebody should be reporting this, if they haven’t.

Helen: Thanks for not putting the blame on me. :) I HOPE you fair better too.

Peter: That is such a great question and something that baffles me all of the time. My gut feeling is that some OTWs think that if they side with the repubs they will be considered “one of them”, and they (the OTW’s) will get their (the repubs) support. But the truth is, the repubs will use them until they need them no more, and then the OTWs will be tossed aside, into the garbage like a wet rag.

George: And believe me, some women are just counting the days until they do. Can you say “Freedom” ?

Bob: Are you losing it? Cute as it is, you already posted that one. Give us something new.

David: Good for you. I think we just gave a new meaning to the phrase “dumbing down”. Thanks for caring.

Zen Lill: Enjoy yourself!

Wendy: :). Just for you…

I think that if we take more time to listen, or in this case, take the time to read carefully, and not just “lazy reading”, as Zen Lill pointed out a day or so ago, we could certainly get a clearer understanding, have better communication, and perhaps actually help somebody.

Well…I thought I was going to say more but on that note, I think I’ll end my write for today. Oh…by the way, the cafe got upped to a 7 – the music got much better…and you know how music can change the entire mood.

I HOPE your mood is good today. Blog me your thoughts, ideas, rants, joys, whatever.

PEACE OUT BABY…

LOVE….this BABE

Blog Business +

Posted by Michelle Moquin on 23rd May 2011

Good morning!

First, I want to make a few comments to address some blog business:

Trish: That’s just not happening. You made a typo, and you thought that you wrote “woman” when you really wrote “would”. Believe me, I barely have time to edit my writes let alone check what my readers write, and edit theirs for them.  You’re on your own on this one. Next time check your spelling before you click, whatever it is you click to post.

Anonymous, Imahottie, and anyone else questioning whether I censor my blog: Listen, people are jamming my blog all the time – there’s nothing I can do. Got it? If you want to do something, write your congressmen – write Obama – tell them to leave this blog the fuck alone.

And I would appreciate it if people would give me the benefit of the doubt and not blame me for everything that happens. “Michelle, are you censoring your blog?” “Michelle, did you edit my post? “Michelle , why can’t I post?” “Michelle, why do I keep getting the same message that I posted already?” NO and I DON’T KNOW. As I said, people are fucking with my blog all the time. Ask your government. Bitch if you must, but stop blaming me.

Now…that I have vented, I just want to say that I can understand the newbies questioning me because the newbies…well…they don’t know jack shit – they don’t know the fuck about anything. But my regulars, my loyal fans – where the fuck are you? Back me up.  Can someone get my back, besides my husband Doug, and yes, thank you Robert.

But let’s not threaten each other on the blog. It’s an open forum meant to give everyone an opportunity to vent, me included as you have just witnessed.  The operative word here is “vent”. That should mean for those of you that don’t understand  the word “vent”, it means you can talk about the things that bother you, express them with as much vitriol as you wish, but absolutely no physical violence to be threatened or carried out.  That’s the purpose of the blog: To allow you to “vent”. So go at it – “VENT!”

And since I believe in practicing what I preach, George I will respond vocally when I feel like it, but right now I’m gonna let you slide. Oh…but with a nod to Doug, “Go take your meds”.

Okay…Now…that blog biz is done, onto the write for today. This was sent to me by one of my readers in Guam, to post for all of you:

Problems Without Passports: Scientific Research Diving at USC Dornsife–Why Guam?

On Saturday morning we fly to Guam, an island about one fifth the size of Rhode Island. Guam is part of the United States, although as a territory it lacks voting representation in Congress or a say in presidential elections. Location is primary in real estate speculation, but it is also central to military strategy and ecosystem management.

Above: Endangered hawksbill sea turtle photographed on Western Shoals Reef, Apra Harbor, Guam on August 5, 2010. Photo by USC DSO Gerry Smith

Guam is the only patch of truly U.S. soil in the western Pacific and it has one of the finest deepwater anchorages in that part of the world — Apra Harbor. The U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) has been planning a massive military buildup of Guam, including the relocation of U.S. Marines and their dependants from foreign soil (the Japanese island of Okinawa), and provisions for more frequent berthing of aircraft carriers in Apra Harbor. This buildup will significantly increase the population of 180,000 currently on this island and greatly stress its already deficient infrastructure.

The most productive ecosystems in the world are coral reefs, and those in Guam are threatened. The number of people per unit area of reef is already much higher than in other parts of Micronesia, such as Palau. While coral reefs are frequently harmed indirectly by human activity such as agricultural runoff, some of the reefs on Guam will be destroyed entirely in the course of dredging Apra Harbor for naval vessels. The DOD was required to prepare an environmental impact statement for the proposed buildup, and comparing that document to the “boots-on-the-ground” reality we will observe in Guam is a big part of the reason we are going there rather than another exotic location imperiled by climate change or overfishing.

Above: Map of Guam. Courtesy of the CIA World Factbook.

Last year we made eight dives in and around Apra Harbor, including two on Western Shoals Reef — approximately 200 meters from the proposed Navy dredging. The DOD environmental impact statement is a controversial document. To quote the chapter on proposed aircraft carrier berthing in Apra Harbor:

…no sea turtle density information is available for Apra Harbor, however thousands of dive hours have been conducted by the Navy and its contractors in the past seven years. Sea turtles have not been observed foraging or resting within the proposed project area; it has been observed to function as a transit area to and from Sasa Bay.

We saw endangered hawksbill sea turtles on both of our dives immediately outside the proposed project area, and we photographed one of them. Was it foraging? It was present on the reef, and sponges and other potential food items were nearby.

Above: Map showing Guam in relation to its surroundings.

Last year we also spent a lot of time with the Guam Division of Aquatic and Wildlife Resources (the equivalent of a state fish and game agency). With their help our students became acquainted with several endemic Guam species that are threatened as a result of invasive vipers and other species, as well as habitat loss. Further habitat loss will inevitably occur as the proposed buildup moves forward.

Above: Image of aircraft carrier berthing alternatives in Apra Harbor. Image from U.S. Department of Defense Environmental Impact Statement “Guam and CNMI Military Relocation,” July 2010.

The natural environment of Guam, both marine and terrestrial, is threatened, and this is especially so as Guam becomes of increasing strategic importance to the U.S. military. We are a day or two from putting USC Dornsife students into this environment. After we answer the question “Why Palau?” you will start hearing from these students.

Editor’s note: Scientific Research Diving at USC Dornsife is offered as part of an experiential summer program offered to undergraduate students of the USC Dana and David Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences. This four-week course takes place on location at the USC Wrigley Marine Science Center on Catalina Island and throughout Micronesia. Students investigate important environmental issues such as ecologically sustainable development, fisheries management, protected-area planning and assessment, and human health issues. During the course of the program, the 24-student team will dive and collect data to support conservation and management strategies to protect the fragile coral reefs of Guam, Palau and other Micronesian islands.

Instructors for the course include Jim Haw, Director of the Environmental Studies Program in USC Dornsife, Environmental Studies Lecturer Dave Ginsburg, SCUBA instructor and volunteer in the USC Scientific Diving Program Tom Carr and USC Dive Safety Officer Gerry Smith of the USC Wrigley Institute for Environmental Studies.

About the Author: Dr. Jim Haw is Ray R. Irani Professor of Chemistry and director of the Environmental Studies Program in the USC Dana and Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences. He is also a scientific, technical and recreational diver.

The views expressed are those of the author and are not necessarily those of Scientific American.

  • I have three days of comments from all of you that I need to read. And yes, I do have a few things to say to some of you.

Zen Lill: I have barely had a moment to read comments from my readers, let alone cruise to peruse your blog or any other, sorry to say. Oh, and I have tried the grass fed Buffalo too. It’s not bad – it’s a tad dry for my liking, and a little more gamey,  but a good alternative to cow for some. I HOPE all is going well with you!

Social Butterfly: Thank for the invite. Next time e-mail me and let me know where you’re going and I’ll try to stop by, say hello and party with you and your girls.

And sorry for your posts getting stuck in “awaiting moderation”. I have a limit of 2 links per article. If you have more than 2 it will wait for me to approve it before it gets posted. This is to prevent spammers. If you want your article to be posted immediately, give the “www” address without the “http://” in front of it, otherwise you will need to wait until I check my blog, as I did in the later afternoon before it will be visible to all.  I HOPE that is helpful. Oh and I signed your petitions. Thanks for posting!

Janice: Well, at least you know for the future. I know it is a bit more pricey, but if you don’t mind me suggesting grass fed, free range meat. Stay away from the big farms who not only infect their animals but don’t treat them humanely.

Nancy: How you could’ve known is a mystery to me. Nobody should be blaming you for something that you had no control over. Your husband was fucking around, got caught, and you’re the victim. Once again, the innocent victim is blamed, just like some people in society blame the girl who got raped instead of blaming the rapist.

I just love the way men think they can have it the way they want it with no repercussions. This guy probably killed his wife because he could not imagine losing her and knowing that she would be fucking someone else but him. Men think it is perfectly alright to sneak around, but god forbid if he found his wife doing the same same. So how do we prevent that from happening? kill the bitch. Not every man would, but some do. Still…that’s not your issue. You are innocent in this.

Anonymous: I think surenough’s answer to your question was interesting and makes a valid point. Money used to never rank number one for me, although it is much more important to me than it used to be. However, although it’s very important to me, I can tell you it’s not my number one.

I’ve seen wealthy people who aren’t happy, who would give anything to find their true love to share their wealth with…and where no amount of money can cure them of their disease.

Happiness is very important, and ranks at the top for me. I view it this way…as long as I am happy, I must have everything else (money, health, love or whatever makes me happy) in that given moment, no matter how abundant or how little, otherwise I wouldn’t be happy. As long as I am happy, I know I have what I want – So to me happiness brings it all, and I want it all.

Although fame…fame is not big on my list. I want to be able to walk the street and keep my private life private if I want. So although fame may happen for me,  it is not that important to me, and therefore ranks last.

Lastly, if you believe in the law of attraction, here’s a little quote from The Secret Daily Teachings:

If you have “needing money” in your vibration, then you will keep attracting needing money. You have to find a way of being happy NOW, feeling good NOW, and being in joy NOW, without the money, because those great feelings are how you will feel with the money.

Money doesn’t bring happiness – but happiness brings money.

Joel: Well know we know what kind of man you are. I’m with Nikki. 25 is a good number to start. Men: Leave the women alone and go out and kill each other if you must kill.

Hector: I would love to change the subject about men being “dogs”. So give me a good reason to, instead of just asking to change the subject. I would love to say how fabulous men are. Some men are but many more are dogs, and I’m being nice  here. So how about the men changing…stop abusing women. You do that and we won’t have to call men dogs anymore. At least when it comes to the treatment of women. Other atrocities men commit…well we’ll have to deal with them one at a time. FYI: If you’r sick of hearing it, imagine how women feel.

Kelli: Happy to hear you have been a loyal reader. Thanks for your comments.  I liked the way the author began her write too. I wasn’t knocking the author, (I HOPE it didn’t come across that I was)…just making a point that the way she began her article, pointing out the way men have screwed up the world, drove the point home that yes, “women should rule the world.”

Zenali: I could not resist saying hello to you. Welcome to my blog. How’s it going up there? I HOPE you are well.

************

Now…I realize I am running late to post, so I must end my comments to all of you.

But in response to all of the chitchat on the blog about sex without condoms and the dangers, it inspires me to discuss the latest hot topic of Arnold, his wife, and the love child conceived obviously sans condom, as an example.

This one’s for you Connie, and anyone else interested in their well-being. Because believe me, no one and I mean no one is going to care more about your health than you.

This recent story about Arnold is about more than just a cheating husband that has unprotected sex that results in an illegitimate child. Albeit the child also suffers because it may never have the love and relationship of its true half brothers and sisters and other relatives of the cheating father. But there are other potentially lethal consequences to this incredibly selfish behavior of men.

Unprotected sex by men carries with it the potential to kill millions of women every year!

When will men learn to put a jacket on it? The fact that he was fucking his aide without a rubber means that Maria has every sexually transmitted infection that the aide has and whoever else the aide may have been fucking uncovered and whoever they etc, etc,.

That is the reason so many women die from cervical cancer. The men who are immune to many of the bacterial diseases they pick up from unprotected sex pass them along from woman to woman. The women may never show symptoms but the diseases will go into hibernation, all the while signaling abnormal grow in the cells of her uterus or cervix or other organs in her body until one day she discovers she has cervical or some other form of cancer.

Organized Medicine has known for decades that cervical cancer is caused by Chlamydia. They are aware that many of the diseases that women get are started by the various bacteria and viral strains that men pass sexually on to women. Many of the strains when re-introduced into an already affected woman mutate into sometimes unrecognized pathogens that bore through the woman’s body causing a myriad of diseases and ailments.

Men and religion conspire to keep these secrets from women. If women knew there would be less forgiving the husband who gets a another woman pregnant because she would know that this signals that she must be checked for bacterial and viral infections he may have passed on to her. The sad truth is the majority of the time she will never discover the damage he as done to her body until a decade or so has passed.

I bring this up because Arnold fathered this child 14 years ago. Just where does that leave Maria with respect to her health and a decade of unchecked bacteria and viral infections that he may have passed to her without her knowledge.

Can you see how dangerous this is for Maria and other women who are married to careless cheating husbands who don’t put a jacket on it?

New laws would have to be passed to deal with the fact that unprotected sex by men cause death and various degrees of medical assault upon their wives and girlfriends. How does one access the damage cause to the legal spouse of a man who is passing on lethal bacterial and viral organisms to her because he is having unprotected sexual encounters?

Men are not willing to face that dilemma so they get the medical profession like the AMA whose leadership has never met a bribe they wouldn’t take to lie by omission. Tens of millions of women die every year from diseases they would not have encountered but for the unprotected sex of their spouses or significant male partners.

As a woman when you discover your mate has been having unprotected sexual encounters consider this fact about chlamydia which is just one of the thousands of variations sexually transmitted microscopic deadly organism he may have passed on to you. If women knew how far would a “I’m sorry” go? It would go nowhere and mean nothing. And yet men still fuck without a condom all of the time.

CHLAMYDIA – Chlamydia is a major infectious cause of human genital and eye disease. Chlamydia infection is one of the most common sexually transmitted infectionsworldwide; it is estimated that about 1 million individuals in the United States are infected with chlamydia.[2]

C. trachomatis is naturally found living only inside human cells. Chlamydia can be transmittedduring vaginal, anal, or oral sex, and can be passed from an infected mother to her baby during vaginal childbirth.

Between half and three-quarters of all women who have a chlamydia infection of the neck of the womb (cervicitis) have no symptoms and do not know that they are infected.

In men, infection of the urethra (urethritis) is usually symptomatic, causing a white discharge from the penis with or without pain on urinating (dysuria).

Occasionally, the condition spreads to the upper genital tract in women (causing pelvic inflammatory disease) or to the epididymis in men (causing epididymitis). If untreated, chlamydial infections can cause serious reproductive and other health problems with both short-term and long-term consequences.

One would think the least the cheating bastard should do is to protect his wife or significant other from harm. But the selfish bastard are only concerned with their pleasure. So the Arnold Schartzneggers of the world go around infecting and killing women with their diseased dicks.
