Bye Bye Bin Laden – Let’s Add “Trump” To The List Too
Posted by Michelle Moquin on May 2nd, 2011
Good morning. It is a good morning isn’t it?
Bin Laden is dead. I too am thankful that he’s dead. It’s been a long time coming, especially for the families affected by the deaths of their loved ones.
We can just check this off of President Obama’s “to do” list of things he promised in his campaign- This is truly “mission accomplished”. Unlike some presidents who use this term loosely, Obama actually gets it done.
And as far as Eric Cantor’s (R-Va.) remarks, giving credit and praising Bush for being “vigilant”, I give Bush no credit. All the credit goes to Obama. He made Bin Laden a priority as he said he would, and when the opportunity presented itself first last August, and then this past week, he acted decisively, and got the job done. I say, great job president Obama, as well as the Navy Seals, and all that were involved in bringing this mission to fruition!
Speaking of “Obama”, with such breaking news, you’d think the press would get it right. Is it “Osama” or “Obama”? It seems FOX News can’t get it correct. Or doesn’t care or want to. I don’t buy that misspelling “Osama’s name” was a “typo”. Not from FOX. You don’t make a mistake like that. They’ve done it before and no surprise that on the night of the announcement of Bin Laden’s death, they did it again. They just couldn’t resist getting it in one more time. That’s my opinion. And considering this “Typo” went viral and caused a Twitter backlash, I’m not the only one who feels this way.
I loved this one comment from a Huff Po reader, that I am reposting it here:
“It’s spelled O-B-A-M-A. Learn it. Know it. Live it. You can look at his birth certificate if you are having trouble.”
In case you missed “Obama’s” speech last night announcing the news of “Osama”, I’ve posted it for your viewing:
Speaking of birth certificates, did any of your see the White House Correspondence Dinner? Loved it. Payback is a bitch isn’t it Trump? Seems you can dish it out but you can’t take it. Typical cowardice behavior.
Once again, Obama comes out on top. Trump…well…I’m pretty sure you’re done.
That’s it for me this morning. Blog me your thoughts.
As always….
Peace out.
Lastly, greed over a great story is surfacing from my “loyal”(?) readers. With all this back and forth about who owns what, that appears on my blog, let me reiterate that all material posted on my blog becomes the sole property of my blog. If you want to reserve any proprietary rights don’t post it to my blog. I will prominently display this caveat on my blog from now on to remind those who may have forgotten this notice.
Gratefully your blog host,

It is a very good think that you spelled out the President’s name for all to see. On Fox this morning Geraldo Rivera said “Obama is dead, I’m happy with that.” Then he caught himself and said I mean Osama.
The slip says it all about the rancor some racist have put in the public mind set.

We got the news in Guam Michelle and we celebrated.
____________________________________________________
President Obama announced bin Laden’s death yesterday afternoon, Guam time, calling bin Laden’s death the most “significant achievement to date” in the nation’s effort to defeat terrorist network al-Qaida — but the work is not complete.
Obama said he worked for months with the national security team on a possible lead to bin Laden’s hiding place in Pakistan.
“Today, at my direction, the United States launched a targeted operation against that compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan. A small team of Americans carried out the operation with extraordinary courage and capability,” Obama said, noting that no Americans were harmed in the operation.
Sudo Moses was at home in Palau preparing for his son’s funeral when he heard of bin Laden’s demise.
Expressing his sense of relief in Palauan, Sudo Moses said, “Ngmaal mlo ungiil a renguuk.”
He said he “feels good” knowing that the man responsible for the 9/11 attacks, which triggered the war that took his son’s life, is dead.
Army Sgt. Sonny Moses’ body is expected to arrive in Palau Sunday. The 22-year-old died April 18 in Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany. Moses died of wounds suffered during a grenade attack on April 16 at a military base in Nangarhar province, Afghanistan.
“It’s too late for my son,” Sudo Moses said, referring to the youngest of his eight children. “But it makes me hopeful that my two other children who are in the Army won’t have to be deployed to those places of war.”
Guam resident Tim Naputi shares that hope, but has mixed feelings of the future. His nephew, Army Pvt. Richard DeGracia Naputi Jr., was killed when a homemade bomb detonated during combat operations on Dec. 21, 2005 in Tali, Iraq.
“The war against terrorism is against terrorism — not Osama bin Laden. Yes, Osama bin Laden was the leader … but I’m pretty sure that in the last few years, he’s probably trained others to share his beliefs,” Tim Naputi said.
“So he’s dead, but who’s the next or the new face of terrorism going to be? — because in my opinion all we did is cut off one of the heads of this terrorist group.”

I think this shows the folly of Bush’s attacking Iraq rather than concentrating on getting Osama. I think it was about all the money Bush and his gang stood to make because they were heavily invested in the military industrial complex that makes money when a country goes to war.
Getting Osama was not as important to them as making a ton of money on a war with Iraq.

On Sunday, May 1, 2011, U.S. troops and CIA operatives shot and killed Osama bin Laden in Abbottabad, Pakistan, a city of 500,000 people that houses a military base and a military academy. A gun battle broke out when the troops descended upon the building in which bin Laden was located, and bin Laden was shot in the head. News of bin Laden’s death brought cheers and a sense of relief worldwide.

Don’t Get Ripped Off on Craigslist
Skip Press
I’m one of more than 50 million US users of Craigslist, the top source of free classified ads on the Internet.
Since the online marketplace started up in the 1990s, I have used it to buy and sell all sorts of merchandise — ranging from computers to cars. I’ve used it so much that I’ve written a book about it.
Here, common mistakes on Craigslist and how to get the very best deals…
SCAMS SELLERS FALL FOR
People who post merchandise for sale on Craigslist may get more fraudulent responses than genuine ones.Often they contain Web links.
If you click on such a link, your computer may become infected with a virus, or a “cyber-robot” may harvest your e-mail address. (The crooks then sell the addresses to spammers.) Sometimes the link comes only in a second follow-up message after you have responded to an innocent-looking question, such as, “Is the item still available?”
Never click on links in e-mail from people you do not know.
Other common scams for sellers to watch out for…
Buyers who pay more than the asking price. They will e-mail you a complicated story giving their reasons (they received a check from an estate, or they made a mistake and sent too much).
They then ask you to refund the extra. You send them a check for the difference between the amount they sent and the price of your item and then discover that their check has bounced.
Buyers who want you to send the item before they’ve paid for it. They come up with an excuse (a birthday, a vacation trip) so that you will deliver the item right away.
Some buyers will claim that they have sent payment through Western Union or another wire service. Since it can take days for money to go through with these services, you may find out too late that payment was never sent. Accepting payment through PayPal usually is better.
Buyers who pay by certified or cashier’s check. These sound official, but can be faked. If you deposit a fraudulent check, you’ll take the loss. Again — stick with payment through PayPal.
SCAMS BUYERS FALL FOR
If you are a buyer, be aware that the more expensive the item, the more prevalent the scams…
“Vehicle for sale” requires an especially suspicious eye. Craigslist says that offers to ship cars after purchase are 100% fraudulent.
How it works: You see a vehicle listed at a very low price. When you communicate with the seller, you learn that the car is overseas and must be shipped.
You will receive a complicated message detailing a complicated method of payment (through an escrow service, Western Union, etc.). Don’t bite. Do stop all communication with the “seller.”
If the listing is still online, flag it (all ads have a special area in the upper-right-hand corner to do this). If enough people flag a listing, Craigslist will pull it — and you will help prevent other people from being burned.
Stolen merchandise. Another reason that a price may seem too good to be true — the merchandise may be stolen.
Before buying a computer, bicycle, jewelry or other valuable item, ask the seller to send you the original purchase receipt, owner’s manual, installation disk or other proof of ownership. Trust your instincts if the seller is vague about proof.
Fraudulent housing. Beware of listings for rentals or lease-to-own housing that require a deposit.
Once you send the deposit (often by Western Union to an overseas address because the “home owner” had to leave the country unexpectedly), you are mailed the keys.
When you go to the house, you find out that the keys don’t fit and the house is really for sale, not for rent — and your money has disappeared. The listing was probably cribbed from a house-for-sale posting.
SELLERS’ MISTAKES
You are more likely to sell an item for a higher price if you avoid common mistakes…
Creating vague headlines. Instead of browsing through local listings, many prospective buyers use the search feature on Craigslist or Google to find, say, a used cell phone with certain features.
To help them pull up your listing, create a headline that is specific and succinct. Headlines can contain up to 70 characters. Use your allotment wisely.
Always include important information such as size, brand/model and condition (for example, “New”).
Avoid unnecessary words (“Look!”) and abbreviations that people may not know (“EUC” for “Excellent Used Condition”).
Real headlines that need help: “Brand-New Mattress” lacks manufacturer and size. “Simmons King-Size Beautyrest Mattress” lacks the item’s condition.
Not including photos. Many people won’t click on a listing unless search results show that it includes photos. (You can post up to four.)
But don’t rely solely on photos to communicate what your merchandise looks like. Colors may not show up well on buyers’ computers. Patterns may not be clear. Make sure that descriptions are clear and complete.
Bad ad I recently found: The headline reads, “Large Chinese Vase.” No photos are included. The description says, “Large, very pretty ornamental hand-painted authentic Chinese vase/planter — acquired it many years ago — not our taste — maybe it is yours.”
What is the size of the vase? The color? Pattern? Shape? Condition? Age? Questions can be e-mailed to sellers, but many folks won’t take the time.
Not protecting your privacy. When you create a listing, you can have your e-mail address automatically “anonymized” — Craigslist will assign the listing a made-up e-mail address so that your real one is not seen by people who send you an e-mail response.
But if you answer the e-mail, your e-mail address is no longer anonymized, and the person who received the response may use it to send you junk messages.
Solution: Set up an e-mail account to use only with your Craigslist postings. Use Yahoo (www.Yahoo.com), Gmail (www.Gmail.com) or another free service.
I often include my phone number in my listings so that prospective buyers can call me.
If you don’t want to give out your number, consider signing up for Google Voice (http://Voice.Google.com). The service assigns you a free phone number that bounces incoming calls to a number you already have.

“The killing of Osama should not be seen as mission accomplished,” former interior minister Hanif Atmar told the New York Times. “Al Qaeda is much more than just Osama bin Laden.” Dr. Ayman al-Zawahiri, an Egyptian doctor who is al-Qaeda’s theological leader, will likely succeed bin Laden.

So Anonz is this why the US didn’t inform the Pakistanis about their intended raid?
==================
The fact that bin Laden was hiding in Pakistan in a compound located in close proximity to a military base will likely strain the already distrustful relationship between the U.S. and Pakistan. Indeed, Pakistan has long denied that bin Laden was hiding within its borders, and the U.S. has provided Pakistan with about $1 billion each year to fight terrorism and to track down bin Laden.

Michelle, one of my brothers is still a prisoner Guantanamo Bay. His brothers in Sa’dah, Yemen are members of the al-Houthi. They want the whole country to be under Shi’a religious law. It is a law based on the Koran. Or so they say. It means a life of slavery for women. We are traded like sheep.
I escaped to Sana, the capital of my country. I am scared and those who hide me are becoming more afraid for their lives. My brothers and others were involved in a plot to harm american interest on May 15. They met regularly with trainers from Iran. My brothers who often brag about the training they received on how to use weapons and make bombs.
I escaped when they left to go to america to do whatever they were trained to do. I hope you do not get hurt by whatever they are planning to do. I think they were headed for some place call Pense in America.

The complete video of the compound and the video that Obama watched as it unfolded including the firefight will be on sale by Friday.
Some members of the Pakistani military have sold multiple versions of the compound layout complete with the blood and the bodies of everyone but OBL and another body the US took with them.
Also, they took two prisoners, one not wounded and one wounded.
The Pakistani have no pictures of the firefight because the US did not trust them with the information about the assault.

Not everyone believes bin Laden really is dead
By ROBERT BURNS and CALVIN WOODWARD, Associated Press
(05-02) 14:15 PDT WASHINGTON, (AP) –
Knowing there would be disbelievers, the U.S. says it used convincing
means to confirm Osama bin Laden’s identity during and after the firefight
that killed him. But the mystique that surrounded the terrorist chieftain
in life is persisting in death.
Was it really him? How do we know? Where are the pictures?
Already, those questions are spreading in Pakistan and surely beyond. In
the absence of photos and with his body given up to the sea, many people
don’t want to believe that bin Laden — the Great Emir to some, the
fabled escape artist of the Tora Bora mountains to foe and friend alike
— is really dead.
U.S. officials are balancing that skepticism with the sensitivities that
might be inflamed by showing images they say they have of the dead
al-Qaida leader and video of his burial at sea. Still, it appeared likely
that photographic evidence would be produced.
“We are going to do everything we can to make sure that nobody has any
basis to try to deny that we got Osama bin Laden,” John Brennan, President
Barack Obama’s counterterrorism adviser, said Monday. He said the U.S.
will “share what we can because we want to make sure that not only the
American people but the world understand exactly what happened.”
In July 2009, the U.S. took heat but also quieted most conspiracy
theorists by releasing graphic photos of the corpses of Saddam Hussein’s
two powerful sons to prove American forces had killed them.
So far, the U.S. has cited evidence that satisfied the Navy SEAL force,
and at least most of the world, that they had the right man in Abbottabad,
Pakistan.
The helicopter-borne raiding squad that swarmed the luxury compound
identified bin Laden by appearance. A woman in the compound who was
identified as his wife was said to have called out bin Laden’s name in the
melee.
Officials produced a quick DNA match from his remains that they said
established bin Laden’s identity, even absent the other techniques, with
99.9 percent certainty. U.S. officials also said bin Laden was identified
through photo comparisons and other methods.
Tellingly, an al-Qaida spokesman, in vowing vengeance against America,
called him a martyr, offering no challenge to the U.S. account of his
death.
Even so, it’s almost inevitable that the bin Laden mythology will not end
with the bullet in his head. If it suits extremist ends to spin a
fantastical tale of survival or trickery to gullible ears, expect to hear
it.
In the immediate aftermath, people in Abbottabad expressed widespread
disbelief that bin Laden had died — or ever lived — among
them.
“I’m not ready to buy bin Laden was here,” said Haris Rasheed, 22, who
works in a fast food restaurant. “How come no one knew he was here and why
did they bury him so quickly? This is all fake — a drama, and a
crude one.”
Kamal Khan, 25, who is unemployed, said the official story “looks fishy to
me.”
The burial from an aircraft carrier in the North Arabian Sea was
videotaped aboard the ship, according to a senior defense official who
spoke on condition of anonymity because a decision on whether to release
the video was not final. The official said it was highly likely that the
video, along with photographs of bin Laden’s body, would be made public in
coming days.
The swiftness of the burial may have raised suspicions but was in accord
with Islamic traditions. Islamic scholars, however, challenged U.S.
assertions that a burial at sea was an appropriate fate for a Muslim who
had died on land.
The act denied al-Qaida any sort of burial shrine for their slain leader.
Once again, bin Laden had vanished, but this time at the hands of the
United States and in a way that ensures he is gone forever.
If that satisfies U.S. goals and its sense of justice, Brad Sagarin, a
psychologist at Northern Illinois University who studies persuasion, said
the rapid disposition of the body “would certainly be a rich sort of
kernel for somebody to grasp onto if they were motivated to disbelieve
this.”
Also expected to come out is a tape made by bin Laden, before U.S. forces
bore down on him, that may provide fodder to those who insist he is alive.
Pakistan, for one, is a land of conspiracy theorists, and far-fetched
rumors abound on the streets and in blogs throughout the Arab world. But
that’s not just a characteristic of the Islamic pipeline. Many ordinary
Americans — and one billionaire — persistently questioned
whether Obama was born in the U.S. despite lacking any evidence that he
wasn’t.
Sagarin said most people will probably be convinced bin Laden is dead
because they cannot imagine the government maintaining such an
extraordinary lie to the contrary in this day and age.
Yet, he said, “as with the birther conspiracy, there’s going to be a set
of people who are never going to be convinced. People filter the
information they receive through their current attitudes, their current
perspectives.”
To be sure, even photos and video, subject to digital manipulation, may
not provide the final word to everyone. But Seth Jones, a RAND Corp.
political scientist who advised the commander of U.S. special operations
forces in Afghanistan, said the administration should do all it can to
minimize doubts.
“There are always conspiracy theories,” he said. “There are individuals
who believe that bin Laden wasn’t involved in the 9/11 attacks.”

This is insane. The clan of sexual predators are beatifying a pedophile while another sensational revelation about another priest sexually abusing members of his parish.
I don’t know what is worst, the gall of the church or the ignorance of their followers. Who are these people, especially the women who are so willing to follow men who tell them that they can’t be leaders of a church that has men who regularly sexually abuse their followers, women and children.

Guam – Guam’s Archbishop Anthony Apuron lead a group of about 40 Guamanians to Rome for the beatification ceremonies of Pope John Paul II Sunday.
The Archbishop has recently recovered from an angioplasty operation at a California Hospital. He and the faithful from Guam were among more than a million people from around the world who crowded into St. Peter’s Square in Rome.
Pope Benedict presided over the beatification ceremony which brings John Paul II one step closer to sainthood.
Many in the group from Guam including the Archbishop were present when Pope John Paul II stopped on Guam 1981. John Paul II passed away in 2005.
The Sorensen Media Group sent a film crew to document their experience, that will be shown in a three part program titled “Y Santo Papa: The Making of a Saint,” coming to ABC 7 and FOX 6 later this summer.

I mourn the loss of thousands of precious lives, but I will not rejoice in the death of one, not even an enemy. Returning hate for hate multiplies hate, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars. Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that
