“Corrupt” or “Current”?
Posted by Michelle Moquin on July 25th, 2012
Good morning!
The full question is: During Mitt Romney’s speech at the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), did Romney call President Obama a “corrupt” president?
Romney said, “A healthy American economy is what underwrites American power. When growth is missing, government revenues fall, social spending rises, and many in Washington look to cut defense spending as an easy way out. That includes our corrupt president.”
Romney’s campaign denies that he said the word “corrupt”: Spokeswoman Andrea Saul saying in an e-mail that he “said ‘current,’ as was written in his speech.”
After seeing the video there is no question in my mind that he said the word “corrupt”. Chris Matthews from “Hardball”, seems to think so and got Michael Steele to admit as much on his show last night. What is everyone else saying?
The Las Vegas Sun is reporting he meant to say “current president.” I don’t think so – He said exactly what he meant to say. I find it interesting how most of the white pundits want to err on the side of Romney by saying he meant to say “current.” Obama would never be given such consideration were he to say something as derogatory as that about Romney. Notice too that there is no news of this in the Huff Po – at least nothing I can find.
Remember all the hullabaloo when a member of Obama reelection committee suggested that Romney could be a charged for lying on his tax return? Here he calls the POTUS corrupt. This has never been done by a candidate but they, the white media, will look the other way because this is a white man dising a black man. Putting him in his place so to speak. Telling the rest of the world and America’s OTWs they are not quite equal to a white man even if they hold the highest office in the land.
And did you notice nobody is complaining about this? Sickening.
Here’s the video. You be the judge. But I’m sure you’ll agree with me that he said the word “corrupt”, not “current”, and in my opinion, he meant it.
Readers: What are your thoughts? Blog me.
Lastly, greed over a great story is surfacing from my “loyal”(?) readers. Hi Michelle, Dan #3 and anyone else who might have thought I disappeared:
They have been doing construction on my Condominium building so I had to stay in a hotel for the past 5 days without a computer. I do not own a notebook computer, it is a big tower which stayed home.
I am back home now. All is well and I will comment when I hear something interesting to add to MM blog.
I want to say “You Are Welcome” to those who commented on Friday, July 20 and 21.
The following are very welcome. I appreciate the Thank Yous on “Flap Your Lips Friday,” July 20.

C7/f21-H4, You have crew that are experiencing what has been called in this solar system as the “human episode(he)”. Your disappointment stems from the added fact that you too bring to the experience emotional elements.
You are experiencing a great loss of personal due to that fact. You are about to compound that problem by not accepting the advice of Council and appealing to the TAO for interference on this Council’s edict.
We appeal to your logic. No human life nor any of your crew will be saved by your actions. It is not often that those of us who make up a particular Council reveal who we are. But I believe that since I have worked with you in the past, it would help to know that there was someone on the Amalgamate Council that was familiar with your world and its particular set of circumstances.
I assure you that we did not deliberate lightly neither did we condescend toward your emotional factor. I personally understand several of the problems that your crew has experienced as I have been working on a model to work with an earthling myself.
Cutting off all communications with the Council and attempting to use the TAO as an Ambassador is not unprecedented, but it is highly unusual. In some ways it will reflect on your tendencies to allow your emotional factors to integrate with your logical deliberations.
That was one of the central themes that resulted in the recommendation that you cease contact with humans until you have taken the Lxcerian course on emotional abatement. Your objection to having to achieve a passing score to continue association with humans is noted and can be further debated along the lines of the score that would properly indicate the ability to interact with humans without cross emotional pollination.
But your objection to having to take the course at all is not up for debate by the decision of the full Supreme Council.
The Technological Council debated the merits of your argument against accepting the science of Emotional Interference(EI) with every leaning towards the fact that you bring exceptional Intellect with your set of emotional influences.
However they agreed that the facts showed that there were cross purposes at work and they cannot be remedied by your attempt to intellectual introspection in a vacuum. You need assistance.
Your loss of a key human is the direct result of not maintaining an unemotional distance from the human when attempting to diagnose and/or treat a human.
Your attempt to restore life to that individual without regard to Anomaly factors is in violation of the Science of Anomaly edits.
Your loss of key personal can be attributed to the same set of circumstances. This poses a problem to all of us as we are experiencing an inability to catch dissenters and deserters that have their technology enhanced by members of your crew who have and have not defected.
This must stop. Either you take steps to stop it or the Jurisdiction Council will appoint others to do it for you. You may appeal this decision with the aid of the Jurisdictional Counsel.
Appealing to the TAO as if they are some balancing authority to the Emperor’s Edicts is unacceptable.

Did Mitt Romney call President Obama a “corrupt” president during his speech at the VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars) convention?
Seems like that to me? Chris Matthews seems to think so and got Michael Steele to admit as much on “Hardball” Tuesday evening. Romney said, “A healthy American economy is what underwrites American power.
July 25th, 2012 at 10:14 am
Romney has brain damage from an accident in France, where he was working with Missionaries, ie: Avoiding the draft.
Personally, I don’t feel he is capable of the high office he seeks. I think he should have thorough brain scans, and tests that might indicate he is not competent. HE is corrupt, and so are his BFFs.
Maybe that’s why the word flew out of his mouth. Maybe it’s just on his mind. Remember that WORD: Corrupt!
July 25th, 2012 at 10:15 am
Let’s see, a draft dodging millionaire, who encouraged others to fight in Viet Nam. Who kept HIS children from enlisting, who saw to it that the records of his management at the Olympics and as governor, and also Bain are either destroyed or missing, calling Obama corrupt?
Yea, but does he point out any evidence of that? Heck no. It’s just a smear like others on the wacky right toss around.
Obama is the most lied about President in history.
July 25th, 2012 at 10:16 am
Freudian slip? Or calculated insult?
Either way, it is not worthy of a Presidential candidate.
July 25th, 2012 at 10:19 am
Romney has pulled every underhanded stunt in the book …his finances are an intentional jumble of book keeping gimmicks and diversions involving shell corperations, offshore secret accounts, foreign currency hedges against the US $, deferred payments,
“blind trusts ” managed by family friends and invested in his son’s company.
He has not released the two years tax records he has promised and is hiding his other returns even though his own party comrads have urged hjm to do so.
He evaded the draft by doing “missionary “work in Paris. His sons are doing “service ” by working on his campaign. And now he has the gall to pull this name calling and false accusations in the guise of a mistake.
Time for the OBAMA campaign to take the gloves off and call Romney what he is…A LIER and a currupt operator…he shouldn’t get away with this garbage…OBAMA
July 25th, 2012 at 10:19 am
He said what he meant to say. He’s corrupt, this man will pimp his entire family out to become president. He has no shame!!!
July 25th, 2012 at 10:20 am
It’s a fairly conservative audience, but you’d think they would at least blush when faced with that kind of lying rhetoric.
Mitt is shameless. Either he’s lying when he says he meant to say “current”, or he’s too incompetent to properly read a teleprompter. Either way, he’s unfit for the presidency.
His shameless lying is one of the main reasons there isn’t a groundswell of support for Romney. There are a lot of reasons to be dissatisfied with the current administration (and a lot of reasons to be grateful as well), but there is NO reason to be enthused about Romney. His glaring character flaws remind me of Nixon.
July 25th, 2012 at 10:23 am
So, what’s the problem?! Either way, he’s correct.
July 25th, 2012 at 10:25 am
DB, I was going to respond with the same exact sentence….Romney has stepped up the ridderick and is definitely on the attack.
The nigger should be father ahead in the polls right now…if he’s still under 50% following both Conventions, he’s in deep trouble.
I read where he’s dropped in the percentage of black votes in Virginia, Ohio and Pennsylvania (approximately owns 83% instead of 95% in 2008). If he can’t get the nigger vote, he’s lost the election for sure.
No decent white people will vote for a nigger to return to the White House. It isn’t called the WHITE House for nothing.

July 25th, 2012 at 10:26 am
When 80% of the green energy stimulus dollars are going to his donors, and his union boss has visited his office 3x as many times as his Commerce Secretary, it’s a fair description.
July 25th, 2012 at 10:27 am
Clearly he said “corrupt”. He didn’t say “current”. Romney is sneaky. Notice he’s now slipping in the word “foreign” however/whenever he can to question the president’s Americanism. He is a snake….Just trying to take the discussion off the taxes and havens.
July 25th, 2012 at 10:29 am
DF, this is not true. These companies have a mix of repubs and dems. For example, fisker, which romney mentioned, has many republicans and republican bundlers on their board.
More than half of their money came meg whitmans vc firm, and even though Romney said 500 million, fisker got less than 300 million from a program that Bush started.
Why lie when you don’t have to just to prove a point that doesn’t exist?
July 25th, 2012 at 10:30 am
And if he said Corrupt? isnt Obama the most corrupt president ever? I mean if Obama can call Romney a criminal cant he call him Corrupt?
I dont remember the Bloomberg headline “Did Obama call Romney criminal?”
July 25th, 2012 at 10:32 am
Hey BH and LA still drinking the white house kool aid I see. Don’t worry you will keep your union job, but facts are the nigger is an arrogant liar.
July 25th, 2012 at 10:33 am
If people still want Obama to be President after seeing how he shoved a Democratic healthcare law though Congress that included exemptions for unions.
If that is not corrupt, then what is? I am sure that everyone that wants to receive free services, food and rent courtesy of other American taxpayers will vote for Obama.
I just hope there are more people paying for these free services that would like to stop this very damaging trend. If you give anything away as an entitlement or for free, then people will abuse it.
July 25th, 2012 at 10:34 am
I also heard the word corrupt. I can assume that he meant current but it did not come that close. The subconscious can do tricky things with the mouth!
July 25th, 2012 at 10:34 am
Obama corrupt. Well yeah.
July 25th, 2012 at 10:34 am
I replayed the speech several times…….Romney CLEARLY used the word CORRUPT to refer to the president. They can do all the rewrites they want but Romney clearly said CORRUPT
July 25th, 2012 at 10:35 am
WM, stay away from Fox Pretend News…you are a bigot maybe you should stay there as you are in good company. Pathetic…
July 25th, 2012 at 10:36 am
I agree with you, RL. I also hear corrupt, and perhaps his
subconscious was speaking for him.
July 25th, 2012 at 10:37 am
He’s not corrupt, he’s PHUQING CORRUPT!
July 25th, 2012 at 10:38 am
Well, he undoubtedly didn’t, but I’ll call him Corrupt.
If it walks like one, quacks like one and swims like one…….
July 25th, 2012 at 10:40 am
Ye:
You may disagree and should say so and make your arguments as to why you believe WM’s statements are incorrect and I suppose anyone could be a bigot and many are.
But I see no evidence of racism in WM’s statement so why go with that accusation? Accusations of bigotry and racism have been thrown around so much with no evidence that I think it harms the cause more than helps to continue with them.
July 25th, 2012 at 10:44 am
Perhaps he was tired and his internal censor was off-line allowing him to say what he actually was thinking.
July 25th, 2012 at 10:45 am
Glad you are back Howie.
July 25th, 2012 at 10:46 am
Corrupt? That’s actually being kind.
He’s murdered two US citizens. He fails to enforce the laws of the land. He’s a thief. He’s racist. He’s a liar. He’s divisive. He’s lost a lot of people a lot of jobs and a lot of money.
Having said all that, he seems like at least an average father and husband….that matters most in my mind so he’s not all bad. Decent person, worst president in modern history.
July 25th, 2012 at 10:47 am
An adviser to Mitt Romney told a London paper that Obama has not been an effective partner for Britain because he doesn’t “fully appreciate” America’s “Anglo-Saxon heritage.”
The racially tinged comments come hours before Romney lands in London for a series of high level meetings and the opening of the Olympic Games.
July 25th, 2012 at 10:48 am
I find it hilarious that the right wing scream machine calls Obama racist. I guess just typical Karl Rove big lie tactics of accusing the opposition of being what the Right Wing itself is.
July 25th, 2012 at 10:49 am
Lynn, those comments were the latest attack by the Romney campaign on Obama’s multi-cultural heritage.
Last week, Romney campaign co-chair John Sununu said Obama didn’t understand the “American system” because he “spent his early years in Hawaii smoking something, spent the next set of years in Indonesia.”
Sununu also said Obama needed to “learn how to be an American.” (Sununu later apologized for that remark.) Later that day Romney called Obama’s policies “extraordinarily foreign.”
July 25th, 2012 at 10:52 am
This from the guy who is hiding the 28 years of taxes from Americans that he already showed John McCain.
Now we find out that his Olympic record has tons of Tax info “missing” from it as well as expenditures.
He’s the guy who made his money laying off Americans and shipping their jobs overseas while he manipulates the broken American tax code.
Romney screwed up. He just opened the door to explore that word and how it applies to himself.
July 25th, 2012 at 10:53 am
We’re still trying to get a real birth certificate from Obama not to mention his college transcripts, selective service record, thesis and all the rest.
I guess “corrupt” is about the nicest thing Romney could think of to say about Obama.
July 25th, 2012 at 10:54 am
And there are numerous reports of 0bama fucking other men up the ass.
So, you tell me who has the dirty underwear.
July 25th, 2012 at 10:56 am
Romney’s team edited the president’s remarks to make an entirely different, and much more offensive, point than the one Obama actually made.
If you listen to Romney’s ad, you hear the president say this:
If you’ve been successful, you didn’t get there on your own. You didn’t get there on your own. I’m always struck by people who think, well, it must be ’cause I was just so smart. There are a lot of smart people out there. It must be because I worked harder than everybody else. Let me tell you something: If you’ve got a business, you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen.
Here’s what Obama actually said, with the omitted sentences in bold:
If you’ve been successful, you didn’t get there on your own. You didn’t get there on your own. I’m always struck by people who think, well, it must be ‘cause I was just so smart. There are a lot of smart people out there. It must be because I worked harder than everybody else. Let me tell you something: There are a whole bunch of hardworking people out there. If you were successful, somebody along the line gave you some help. There was a great teacher somewhere in your life. Somebody helped to create this unbelievable American system that we have that allowed you to thrive. Somebody invested in roads and bridges. If you’ve got a business, you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen.
So, in Romney’s ad, “that” refers to “building a business.” In Obama’s remarks, “that” refers to the roads and bridges.
July 25th, 2012 at 11:00 am
My parents always told me that when you are on a jury trying a nigger for doing something, the only question is how much time will you be giving the nigger because if he didn’t do what he is being tried for he most certainly did some other criminal offense.
I think that is a good motto to live by. So if the nigger wasn’t corrupt for the particular act Romney was accusing him of, you can be certain that he did something else corrupt.
James
July 25th, 2012 at 11:07 am
Juanita, what you are talking about I hear everyday from one of my white relatives. Ia am married to a wonderful white man. He is a great husband and father.
But his family is so full of hate for Obama because he is black that they will accept any lie about him without hesitation.
On that “You didn’t build that” statement by Romney, they don’t want to know that Obama was referring to the infrastructure. They want to believe that he said what Romney said he did.

July 25th, 2012 at 11:09 am
Howie, so what is Luc talking about here? I smell a series brewing.
July 25th, 2012 at 12:51 pm
I really enjoy showcasing campaign videos, whether it’s Romney’s ‘You Didn’t Build That’ video, or any of the videos from the unaffiliated Super PACs, I believe they are proving to be disastrous for the president. Putting our president’s hollow promises and double-talk on video is always something that will resonate with voters. But today, Sen. Scott Brown’s campaign has arguably the best video of the cycle. Make sure you watch, and send to a friend. It’s truly awesome.
What we are working on today:
Discharged tea party Marine says military publication made example of him: Hope has been one of the only national reporters on the Gary Stein case since the beginning. She has the latest update in the saga: “Stein was briefly the unexpected star of a public affairs article informing troops how they could stay ‘social media savvy during the election season,’ appearing in the lead sentence as an example of what not to do…” Read more below.
Romney calls for special investigation in to WH leaks: Also from Hope: Romney called for a special independent counsel to look into the leaks and said he wanted to see the source of the privileged information ‘exposed, dismissed, and punished.’ He went on to say, ‘[T]his isn’t a partisan issue. It’s a national security crisis.’
Newt: The mask falls on Obama’s attitude toward work–” What the president is saying is that society owns you. If you’re successful, you don’t own your success. The government does, because your success depended on others all along.” Read more below from Newt on the president’s latest instance of double-talk: ending the work requirement in social welfare programs.
That and a lot more below, including an op/ed from Scott Walker.
Onward and upward,
-Adam

The Full-Size Sedan is Back…and It Doesn’t Cost a Fortune at the Pump
Big cars are back. While high gas prices have persuaded many car buyers to think small, automakers have been quietly rolling out a surprising number of appealing and moderately priced large sedans that don’t use nearly as much gas as older models do.
They’re betting that car buyers will go for more room and more comfort as long as it doesn’t cost a fortune and as long as it comes with luxurious features such as dual-zone climate control and leather seats.
The latest full-size sedans don’t cost drivers a fortune at the pump, either. Some deliver close to 30 miles per gallon (mpg) or even more on the highway.
Six large, moderately priced sedans worth considering, in order of price*…
Ford Taurus.
If you haven’t test-driven a Ford Taurus in a few years, it’s time to give the car another try. It was completely redesigned for 2010, and it has been updated again for the 2013 model year.
The most recent round of improvements includes better styling and a new 3.5-liter V6 engine that is both more fuel-efficient and, at 290 horsepower (hp), more powerful than the engine it replaces. (An optional 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine, available later this year, is expected to deliver 237 hp and boost fuel economy by a few mpg.)
The Taurus provides a spacious interior…large trunk…quiet, pleasant ride…and relatively good handling by large-sedan standards. It’s a bit less luxurious and amenity-laden than some of the cars on this list, but it still is the best full-size sedan below $30,000.
2013-model fuel economy: 19 mpg city/29 highway. Price: From $26,600.
Buick LaCrosse features GM’s new eAssist “mild hybrid” system, which pulls off the impressive trick of boosting fuel economy to levels rarely reached by full-size sedans without boosting the sticker price above others in its class. The eAssist system does reduce trunk space, however.
Impressive fuel economy isn’t all the LaCrosse Hybrid has to offer—its exterior is attractive, and its interior is spacious, elegant and loaded with appealing standard features.
These include dual-zone climate control and Intellilink, which allows you to use voice commands to control your entertainment and communications devices. The LaCrosse eAssist’s ride is comfortable and quiet, though not particularly exciting—its 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine’s 182 hp will get you down the road, but it won’t be mistaken for a race car.
Fuel economy: 25 mpg city/36 highway. Price: From $30,170.
Hyundai Azera might not have the lowest base price on this list, but it just might be the best value.
Completely redesigned for 2012, it comes loaded with an impressive list of standard creature comforts, including leather upholstery, dual-zone climate control, heated front and rear seats, a touch-screen navigation system and even a cooled glove box.
The Azera is spacious and comes with Hyundai’s best-in-the-business five-year, 60,000-mile warranty (10 years, 100,000 miles for the drivetrain).
Its ride is very comfortable and quiet. Its 3.3-liter V6 provides a more-than-acceptable 293 hp and impressive fuel economy for a car its size.
Fuel economy: 20 mpg city/29 highway. Price: From $32,000.
Toyota Avalon offers a winning combination of comfort, quality, roominess and affordability. Its 3.5-liter V6 is relatively fuel-efficient and powerful—268 hp.
It’s a good choice for those who like to buy American, too—despite the Toyota badge, the Avalon is built in the US.
A redesign for the 2013 model year, due out in late 2012, will significantly improve Avalon’s bland exterior styling. The redesign also will provide increased trunk space and additional air bags.
The noncosmetic changes will be fairly minor, however, so if you’re offered a good deal on a leftover 2012 Avalon late this year, it might be worth snapping up.
Fuel economy: 19 mpg city/28 highway. Price: From $33,195.
Hyundai Genesis sedan combines the comfort, luxury and spaciousness of a full-size sedan with the excitement of a sporty rear-wheel-drive performance car—and it does so for a reasonable price. Hyundai’s excellent warranty is another point in the Genesis’s favor.
The base model Genesis comes with a 3.8-liter V6 that produces 333 hp, but that’s only the start—other options include a 5.0-liter V8 that delivers 429 hp, enough to leave the sedans listed earlier far behind.
Providing sporty handling requires sacrificing a measure of comfort, however—the ride isn’t quite as smooth as that of many other full-size sedans.
Fuel economy: 19 mpg city/29 highway for the V6 (17 mpg/26 for the V8). Price: From $34,200 (from $45,500 for the V8).
Infiniti M, like the Hyundai Genesis, successfully combines the comfort, luxury and spaciousness of a full-size sedan with the driving excitement of a sporty car.
The M’s exterior styling is striking…its interior spacious, is well-equipped and very upscale. This rear-wheel-drive car is a worthy rival to famed European sedans such as the BMW 5 Series and Mercedes-Benz E-Class—only at a lower price.
Drivers who appreciate the smooth glide of a typical full-size sedan might find the M’s ride a bit firm for their tastes—other drivers will love the sharp handling.
The base model M’s 3.7-liter V6 produces 330 hp, while the optional 5.6-liter V8 offers 420 hp. A new hybrid 3.5-liter V6 delivers 360 hp.
Fuel economy: 18 mpg city/26 highway for the base model (27 mpg/32 for the hybrid, 16 mpg/24 for the V8).
Price: From $47,700 for the base model (from $53,700 for the hybrid, from $59,200 for the V8).
*Prices and descriptions refer to the 2012 model year except where noted.

Howie, so what is this Luc thing all about?
July 25th, 2012 at 7:24 pm
The object of a law is to stop or stem something. If a good gun law is passed to restrict and record the purchases of guns and bullets.
Of course anyone can break a law. People break every law on the books at one time or another that’s why we have the word crime.
But that doesn’t mean we don’t need traffic laws, regulations, or gun laws. The object is to make it better for all to function and to prosecute those few that break the law.
If we only passed laws that we knew for certain would solve the problem, then no law would ever get passed.

Why Your Left Side Looks Better Than Your Right
When someone whips out a camera and you slant your face to one side before saying “Cheese,” which side do you turn to?
The left or the right?
Decisions, decisions…
Researchers from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, found that this simple choice can impact how appealing you look to others.
And who doesn’t want to look more attractive?
So I called up the researchers to find out how we can all look our very best in photographs…
SIDES MATTER
James Schirillo, PhD, a psychology professor at the university and a coauthor of the study, and his colleagues photographed smiling subjects from both the left and right.
Then they created digital mirror images of each photo (so that you’re looking at what appears to be someone’s right cheek in the photo, but it’s actually his left cheek in real life, and vice versa).
Both the original photos and mirror images were shown to viewers.
Viewers were asked to rate each photo on how aesthetically “pleasing” they thought it was, with “1” being least pleasing and “9” most pleasing.
The viewers were also wearing an eye tracker, a gadget that measures the dilation of the pupil every 17 milliseconds.
That’s because previous research has shown that our pupils dilate when we’re looking at an image that pleases us and constrict when we don’t like what we’re seeing.
With this setup, the researchers were able to assess the viewers’ conscious and unconscious aesthetic reactions to the photos.
On average, by both measures, viewers were more likely to rate left-cheeked photos more appealing than right-cheeked photos.
This was the case even when the images were digitally reversed—in other words, left-cheeked photos (even when they appeared to be right-cheeked photos) were still rated more pleasing than right-cheeked photos (even when they appeared to be left-cheeked photos).
Pretty wild, huh?
WHY LEFT IS BEST
As it turns out, Dr. Schirillo explained, there’s actually a physiological reason behind all of this.
“The left side of your face is governed by the right hemisphere of your brain, which is the side that is mainly responsible for the expression of emotions,” he said.
“So when someone is smiling and happy, it shows more on his/her left side.” (The same applies when we’re feeling sad or mad, so whenever you’re experiencing those emotions, show your right cheek if you want to hide it…or your left cheek if you want to let it all hang out!)
The greater expressiveness of the left side of your face holds true whether you’re right-handed or left-handed, Dr. Schirillo added.
And all of that stuff about how the left side of the brain is associated with language and the right side of the brain is associated with math—that’s different, he said. This issue of showing emotions has to do with muscle control.
“Each side of the brain controls the muscle groups on the opposite side of the face—around the mouth and cheeks, in particular,” said Dr. Schirillo.
POSE PROPERLY
The next time someone snaps a photo of you—maybe while you’re on vacation this summer—you might try putting your left cheek forward when you smile for the camera.
This trick may also come in handy during other situations where you’d want to angle yourself better to make a good first impression, such as at a job interview…or on a first date!

WASHINGTON — Democrats are mocking Republicans in the House of Representatives for voting to repeal the health care reform law and keep their own enhanced medical care.
When Congress passed the health care law, it required members of Congress to get their insurance on exchanges with the rest of the public.
But in voting to repeal that law, Republicans and a handful of Democrats were also voting to go back to the old system where the lawmakers get a sweeter deal than most of the rest of the country.
They also voted against a Democratic motion that said members of Congress who support repealing the health care law must also repeal the good stuff they get, such as lifetime care and insurance regardless of pre-existing conditions.
Democrats tried to demonstrate how Republicans distanced themselves from voting to protect their own deal by capturing a slew of GOP members on video saying they didn’t vote to protect their own care, as seen below.
The clip features a number of Republicans in tight races this year, as well as GOP budget guru, Rep. Paul Ryan of Wisconsin.

What else would can you expect from hypocrites?

Sounds like the Florida legislators who exempted themselves from state employee drug testing.

“House Republicans refuse to admit they voted to give themselves taxpayer funded lifetime guaranteed health care instead of having the same health care as their constituents,”

All Congress has it. Federal, State and Municipal … all levels of representation have it. Always have. Most of the former military GOP too, and while they rail against Obamacare, they all have access to the best socialized health care system anywhere. It is their due for service to their country.
John Q Civilian’s service is less, so he deserves to pay his own way, and be the responsible example swimmers in the GOP socialized health care pool exemplify.
He pays the most expensive insurance for the costliest care, value of which is constantly inflated by malpractice lawsuit, litigation and insurance.
It commands a hefty contribution from his employer and a chunk of his pay that always beats inflation. He must use provider’s physicians, and follow their strict procedure from which long delays are routine, or suffer claims denied.
The GOP who oppose Obamacare support that, but don’t know anything about it. They don’t function in the real world.

The republicans get BETTER than Obamacare. They get the best of the best, paid for by us. They just feel that no one else can have that privilege, and if you need healthcare, you should just die.
