Is it possible that Roe v. Wade could be turned over in this day and age?

Three times this past week I have gotten something in the mail from either the Center for Reproductive Rights or the Feminist Majority Foundation. I decided that maybe I should open up one and see what was going on. It wasn’t the first time that I have received mail like this but it has been really a long time since I had read one. It’s not that I don’t care about women’s right- you know I do! But I seem to spend most of my volunteering time for those that can’t speak for themselves: The animals, and lately for the environment with this spray thing still being fought in Northern california which will have an effect on humans too. But that is another story.
Anyway, I decided to open up the envelopes that were collecting on my desk. The first one I read shocked me. Why? - I don’t know. I am aware that living in California, is much like living in another country. It is so easy to just go on with my day and forget that people in other states are constantly fighting for their right to choose….a right that I don’t take for granted but a right that I know I have, at least for the time being. But, it is a different story in Jackson Mississippi. Haley Barbour, the Governor, along with anti-abortion extremists are vowing to shut down the last abortion clinic in the entire state! The entire state! This is unbelievable but it is happening.
Zip on over to Manila, Philippines:
Tina asked for a tubal ligation after her fourth child, but the hospital no longer offered the service. Now she has eight children and is trying to feed her family on $3.28 a day.
Another woman Susan was advised by her doctor not to have any more children because of severe health risks – yet her doctor was prohibited from providing contraception or sterilization.
And in Hungary:
A woman under going surgery for a miscarriage, was asked to give permission for a caesarean section. She was unaware that the forms she signed contained consent for sterilization. The words were barely legible and written in Latin. Only after she was sterilized did she discover she had agreed to a procedure that would make her permanently infertile!
Can you imagine any of this happening to you?
Threats to reproductive freedom are real and gaining strength everyday – It’s right in line with pharmacists who refuse to fill prescriptions for birth control because of ‘their’ moral beliefs. I would go ape if my pharmacist refused my right to pop a pill.
Look at (EC) Emergency Contraception. In 2006 it finally got approved but with unacceptable limitations: Access was limited to only women over the age of 18 with a government-issued identification, and who were not afraid to ask the pharmacist to get it from behind the counter. This limitation effects the most vulnerable population: Young women and undocumented women.
All over the world including our own country, it is a constant fight for women to be able to choose, and for women to feel safe and supported in their choices.
But for the first time in decades, we women are truly in danger of losing our essential right to choose. Roe v. Wade is under attack by those who feel we should not have a reproductive choice. The forces are strong and determined….
Just last April three decades of law was swept away in one year. That is all the time it took for Bush’s Supreme Court to overturn thirty years of precedent by upholding the Federal Abortion Ban. They might as well have put up a banner stating that women’s health is no longer a real concern! What does this mean for women? Well for starters, the Supreme Courts Abortion Ban Ruling now paves the way for state and federal legislatures to approve additional bans on abortions as early as 12 weeks, even on those that doctors say are safe and medically necessary. Readers: Are you aware of this? Anonz: This is right in light with those ‘appointed’ Supreme Court judges that you mentioned in your comment….more on that later.
Do you realize how much is at stake with what has just happened? Already ten states have introduced sixteen bans that criminalize abortion! Okay…let’s paint a picture…You’re having sex with your man; and you happen to be on ‘the pill’. (Thankfully you have a pharmacist that is happy to fill your prescription!) And it just so happens that you had a cold for the past few days so you’ve been pumping up on the vit C – bad move…the overdose of it negated the pill and surprise…you’re pregnant. You’re also screwed ’cause now you need an abortion. You happen to be living in one of those states where abortion is a felony and physicians performing the operation can go to prison. What’s a woman to do?
I know what we can’t do….We can’t get lazy or complacent on this one. A complete reversal of Roe v. Wade is now within the realm of possibility.

Hi Michelle, yes, I think I’ll be a life coach, but can I do it tomorrow? hahaha…a little procrastination humor there for you. Actually, the ‘cheerleading’ thing stuck out more than the procrastinator thing. So I’ll cheerlead myself more when I get around to it, oh man, I just can’t stop now : )

Dear Michell, TAO, et al: I am writing to let you know that I am just not educated enough to keep up with the Political topics written about lately.
I wish I were, but I try not to be foolish enough to stick my foot in my mouth by commenting on a topic which I know very little about.
I know the general stuff – who is running and for which Party, but I am unaware of the rpercussions of electing one or the other. So far, I believe Obama is the Candidate for me.
If the blog continues to be speak on such a high caliber Politically, I must refrain from commenting.
I would love to comment but this is out of my league. I feel very inferior inteligently. Even my vocabulary is much lower than the standard blog chatter, and I feel out of the loop. This leaves me with only superficial things to comment about.
I would, however, love to hear from Tal or any of the TAO about my questions; especially with the medical conditions recently revealed to me. I am a dying man and need to know if there is a way of cheating the Angel of Death. Please respond. I am very anxious.
Carr will not tell me anything about me or the TAO at the present time. He wants me to handle this myself.

Nice blog Michelle!
I have been appalled (since day one) at the current administration, and their lack of accountability. I have also been amazed at the public and their complacency with this administration from taking the White House the first time illegally then using the Supreme Court to make it legal, to starting an offensive illegal occupation of another sovereign country, and much more. Then, amazingly enough, the public voted for the same administration again that has been sending us all back into the stoneage. Our Congress and Senate have done nothing to bring anything to the forefront and handle all of the illegalities of what has transpired over these past seven years. They have so easily misrepresented and rewritten details to wartime laws to help them have no one to answer to. There are Billions and Billions of dollars that have conveniently disappeared in this war action to private corporations and offshore banks. Through the right wing extremists and religious factions, their need to catagorize people in our society, has grown into dangerous territory allowing rights to become diminished and the power of the people to be reduced.
I implore people to question authority!! This is what the rights (at least those of what we have left) of being an American are for us. Our questions to the authorites should be heard and debated. Not silenced or listened to illegally. We elect people to hold an office to do what we as citizens want them to, not what their campaign funding groups have as an agenda. These politicians are supposed to work for us. Are they? They are slowly eroding our human rights that African Americans, impoverished and women have fought so hard for. Right before our eyes we are seeing and experiencing all of these groundbreaking and historic human rights fights disappearing.
I have written on topics like this on my blog at length and will continue to do so. Perhaps my article on the truth, found at Boggs Banter and that many politicians feel that the public cannot handle the truth is real. They work for us don’t they?!!
What amazes me the most is people don’t believe that these things are happening in front of them, as well as, many feel as though they have no say in changing the outcomes. So many people feel helpless. When simply questioning authority and spending a little more time researching the truth we can easily empower ourselves. With today’s internet technology we can easily spend a little time looking for the truth from independent parties from all over the planet. As Anonz has stated, do not get your truth from Fox TV!

Michelle, I might be uneducated, but I am very familiar with the Rode v. Wage decision in the Supreme Court.
This was one of the Civilized decisions the Court has made.
A womans body is hers to decide whether she wants to have a child or not. I do not consider an Embryo or Fetus as Life. It is an embryo or Fetus, that’s it. It has not been born yet, therefore it is not a thinking, living being. It has no Social Security Number – it is not considered a Human being yet. It is close to becomming a Human Being, but not quite there yet. It is still a part of the Mother. The Mother has every right to do anything she wishes to her body except suicide.
A reversal of Rode v. Wade would certaainly set the USA back many years of fighting for this right.
This is only the tip of the Iceberg. The Government is blatantly trying to remove our rights as Citizens, one at a time. From Phone Tapping, to holding one as a Terrorist without Counsel for weeks; to searching citizens without a Warrant or just cause.
We are heading back to an earlier day when People had no Rights. We are becoming a Dictatorship where the average American has no rights at all. Blacks will have to regain their Freedom, women will have to regain their Right to vote or have an abortion. We ARE headiing back in time to the ‘Bad Old Days’ and we must not tolerate any of this. We MUST protest. It is the only way to show those in Power that we will not tolerate the rescinding of our Rights.
The Government knows exactly what it is doing. This is not an accident. Our Rights are being chiselled away one or two at a time and we don’t even notice them being gone.
They are and will never return unless we all act upon it. It doesn’t Matter if you are Republican, Democrat or independent, we have been sold out to Corporate Greed and our own Lamb-Like Stupidity.
We, the People (Rich or Pooor) elect Politicians. They do not elect themseves. We should have the Power to take back these powers. Mention the word Terrorist and we give the Government Carte Blanche to break any Law they desire. It is a majic word that should not be tolerated.
If we sit back and act like Cattle, we will become Cattle, with no rights but to consume give birth and defecate. (Sound Familiar?)
I hope my points are vali9d. I firmly believe them.

It is so good to be back. Tal and Latifa have been working us to a frazzle. They have proven that even super beings can be taxed to limits. We have been tasked to work in areas of this galaxy that are not influenced by the powers we exercise in the inner solar systems of the Milky Way.
Yes we have been a big hit with the muslim women. That is because Sheikh decided to walk around the lawless areas of Pakistan’s tribal lands without a burka. It is full of little penis men who will die to maintain control over women. Their religious movement is not so much about Allah as it is about using Koran to justify their control over females.
The females are traded like cattle. Actually worse than cattle. They are herded like cattle but raped like sheep. If they voice any complaint they are killed by their own families. They are legal face killings.
A face killing means a family can kill a female if her actions could cause her family embarrassment. That same family can not legally kill a male for the same or worse behavior.
Sheikh decided to show those little penis wonders that they couldn’t fuck with her. She did not initiate as per your orders any confrontation, yet, she refused to let the wicked little boys to discipline her. A private accounting will be made to you as soon as Tal has reopened our private channels to you.

You have been asking Tal to answer your questions about the weather phenomenon. He will get around to answering you and others about many issues. Presently, he is preoccupied with solving The Emperor’s safety net.
Yes, he is working very hard on this, but I suspect that he is just as occupied with the biggest topic among aliens that has ever been. The decision to recognize the existence of a GOD(S).
Throughout the known universe no species has been able to create life. Some of us can take the smallest elements of life and seed planets. But none of us can take elements combine them with energy and create life in a bottle. The mystery of creating something that is greater than the sum of its parts with ability to spontaneously become a living cell is beyond us.
The advent of Sweteno has reopened the cooperation of the best minds in the known universe to better understand this phenomenon. Tal just happens to come from a part of the known universe that produces the the best of those minds intellectually. He is as far above us I.Q. wise as we are above you earthlings, perhaps more as we have yet to measure his true potential.
Most commanders would never accept a being like Tal aboard their craft. We got him by accident. I must say that Azza has handled his presence in a manner that demonstrates what being a military leader means. She engenders a sense of loyalty to her as a person and trust in her leadership skills as a military commander that makes being a member of the Climax a pure high.
Lexy loves her. But that may be due to the fact that he can penetrate her love canal. He has offered to help with a universal constitution. I think that will be a difficult accomplishment because we tend to rule from strength, but who knows. This is a man the is one of the founders of the finest governmental constitutions on earth.
But I started this to talk about Tal. He is a friend of mine, but he is not always trusted by all of the members of the Climax. He is the only one that has to experience this attitude. Some think that he isn’t as loyal to Azza as he should be. Azza is not one of them (if Azza thought for a minute he was disloyal, he would be dead), yet the thought surfaces from time to time among the crew.
Tal is deeply concerned about life or rather its origins. His mind is enthralled by the way Carr has created life. Yes, he says that Carr didn’t just plant something living and encourage it to grow. Carr started new life from inanimate elements and imbued them with that elusive something that caused them to become part of the living. WOW! He is often heard to say as he examines the event with his great mind and marvels at his continued lack of the understanding of how it was done.
He is now giving what he knows to the earthlings and every other living entity with a brain to see if an answer can be found. How is life created from and inanimate set of elements. Earthlings believe in the CHON plus energy theory. Earth’s C arbon; H ydrogen; O xygen; N itrogen elements are based on the fact that they cannot imagine beings or life composed of other elements. I look forward to the results even though it is all way above my intellectual understanding.

As for the weather that is so different right now. Ta”s work on the web caused the earth’s time occurrence to shift ahead about 10 to 25 years. What you are experiencing is the weather you will see on a regular basis if global warming continues at its present pace. It will return to normal in another 60 to 90 days.
Please Michelle and blog re-ask your questions and someone will make the effort to answer them. The rotation will start again because the consensus is heading towards accepting at least Carr as the definition of a GOD, an entity that originates life.
So less time will be spent on trying to disprove what IT appears to have done and more time on trying to establish communication with IT, or at least, an understanding of what the known universe’s relationship with GOD should be.

Why do you not somply ask me questions which I can relate to Carr since you finally believe what I have been saying since day one.
I would be happy to help you if you hrlprd me. I need to voyage on the Climaxand receive medical ans mental enhancement. If I received this help, I will help you get the information on the existence of a True God from Carr himself, not speculation.
My question on whether I will be coming aboard the Climax still has not been answered. This is my most important question. Can you please answer me and I will coerse Carr to help you solve the answer to what makes a True God – Creator of the Universe.
Can we work together Adam and Tal? Just take me aboard the ship as pro,ised to me and all will fall into place.
I also know2 many things concerning your questioons.I have been around him for 30 years and have heard and seen amny unbelievable miracles done by Carr. Perhaps this moronic Human can bring you the knowledge you are seeking?
