Obamacare Enrollment Gaining Steam
Today, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) released the enrollment figures for Obamacare through the end of November. Unsurprisingly, about four times more people enrolled during the month of November as did during October, when HealthCare.gov was largely non-functional. Reports indicate that enrollment has continued to surge over the past two weeks ahead of the December 23 deadline to purchase coverage taking effect January 1, 2014.
Here are the topline numbers to know:
- 110,410 Americans signed up for private coverage through HealthCare.gov just last month.
- 1,900,000 people have made it through the process but have yet to select a plan.
- 803,077 people have been determined to be eligible for Medicaid or the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP).
- 364,682 Americans selected plans through the state-run or federal insurance marketplaces (137,204 through HealthCare.gov and 227,478 in state-run exchanges).
The surge resembles Massachusetts’ successful launch of Commonwealth Care, where most people signed up later in the open enrollment period:

In other good Obamacare news, a report out today found that the number of women who are receiving birth control at no additional cost — a key Obamacare benefit — has jumped 25 percent since the requirement went into effect last year.
“This data confirms that the Affordable Care Act is already working for millions of women and their families — and we expect that number to keep growing,” said the president of Planned Parenthood Action Fund, Cecile Richards.
For their part, Republicans continued to attack the law during another predictably one-sided hearing.
Things did not go so well for Rep. John Shimkus (R-IL), who botched an attempt to compare HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius to North Korea’s totalitarian dictator and then totally freaked out. A Democratic Member admonished Shimkus, who was shouting at Sebelius, to allow her to actually answer his questions. “I do not have to allow her to answer the question!” Shimkus screamed in reply.
(Shimkus was attacking the aforementioned no-cost preventive care benefits under Obamacare, which include birth control and cancer screenings.)
BOTTOM LINE: Obamacare is working and more than a million Americans have gained access to health coverage because of the law, many for the very first time.

WOW!!!!!!! Either I have entered another time zone or plane or this is some elaborate way of Michelle to continue the charade that Zen Lill is a real person.
If not Please Zen Lill tell me how my Girlz Michelle, has done my Girlz Zen Lill wrong. You are my two favorites, precisely because you seemed to be on the kind of level that makes womanhood special.
I could not imagine either of you allowing the sexual dalliance of a man to come between you, even an Anonz. Yes, I would probably fuck him if he wanted me, but if I were you and he fucked Michelle, I wouldn’t allow that to make me be as bitter as you seem to be.

Zen Lill, I am truly sorry if my reciting the speculations of our MZLM club caused you this deep hurt. It was not meant to be. I was so caught up in my own angst.
This is a lesson that we all can learn from. I forgot to consider your feelings when I was trying to argue my position that you were too diverse in your opinions to ever be Michelle. But we have more that 200, members and each has her own opinion.
I was thrown off guard by the numbers who had switched from my side to Lia’s. Since there seems to be a revealing of secrets today, I will tell one. Lia and I have not admitted it, but we have a sneak rivalry. She invented the MZLM club.
I say invented because of the unique way she has made it a secret GirlZ’s thing and the camaraderie she has created among our members. We cross all levels of social and economic positions on the island. But our loyalty as MZLM GirlZs has never wavered. We support each other however we can.
The secret (tiny angst) between Lia and I comes because I was elected Commander of the Fleet. It is a position that rightfully belongs to Lia. She is the true architect and leader of MZLM. I am telling this because I do not wish to have a blow up like the one I seemed to have caused between you and Michelle.
It was only speculation which makes no sense if you are real, and I believe you to be so. I always have. I think that Lia has taken the opposite view so strongly because of our “secret rivalry.” Please except my apologies. I did not mean to cause you grief. We love and respect your contribution to all that has made this blog what it is, a place where females can come to spill our guts.
I would not presume to speak for our founder Lia, but I will speculate that it was the loyalty between you and Michelle that gave Lia the idea to form a secret society of GirlZs that would not allow men, religion, race, sexual orientation, economic or social status to come between us.
We celebrate our 5th year January 4, 2014. I hope my silliness did not destroy the friendship between you and Michelle for which it was founded upon. We love and respect you both.

Zen Lill, I hope this gets in. Actually that is one of the reasons I always thought that you were Michelle. I mean how come you can post when the rest of us cannot. I live in Denmark so why am I shut out and you in America can get in.
My answer was you are Michelle. But I suspect I was very wrong. Your are obviously upset with Anonz and you seem to be taking it out on Michelle. I don’t understand, you have admitted to a five year liaison with a man you are very happy with.
I read Anna’s diatribe but I see so many holes in it that I dismissed it right away. It’s funny how many of my friends who believed also that you were not real called to take issue with Anna’s poor analogy of why you were not real.
I guess we all want to speculate with out reasons two Americans seem to be so loyal but different in their assessment of men. Funny how you have taken Michelle’s feeling that they cannot be trusted in this instance.

Zen lill, I got up early this morning so I could write before the Household started needing their “mommie” for everything.
I have been following you since you first started talking to Anonz. I was not shocked to hear that you had been having a great lover on the side. I assumed the reason you opened up about it was because you were ready to move on with that new commitment.
I’m getting ahead of myself. First let me say that among the girls and guys that regularly discuss this blog and the stuff people admit on it. You are a ROCK STAR. I am not saying that because I belong to your exercise club either.
Of course there you can do no wrong, but I am talking about the office chatter and the conversations we have about the blog among a an ever widening bunch of people who seem to have nothing more to do but to speculate on who you two are and if you are real.
A lot of the guys used to think that Anonz was Doug writhing to increase the Zen Lill following. You and Michelle are the STARS we call our own and like those “Enquirer” rags that speculate on a daily basis without the slightest concern for the truth, we speculate about you two.
If any one should be complaining it should be me because I had an affair that NEVER would have occurred had it not been for you two. I only started talking to him because of the office drama about you two. Before that I didn’t see anything interested in him or his lawyering skills.
But after a year or so of exchanging conversations about you or she said on this addicting blog, I found something in him to allow him to get close enough to seduce me, and boy do I regret it.
So if anyone has a reason to be angry it should be me. You two have almost fucked up a 17 year marriage. Think about that while you are feeling sorry for yourself. With fame comes responsibilities.

Zen Lill, whatever you think of Michelle, I find it intolerable that you would turn on Anonz like you have. I have been a fan from almost the first month of the start of this blog. I have all but the first 8 days of this blog chronicled by dates, entry of the Originals and by the Aliens and of course Anonz.
I have the first contact between you two on the blog. It was Anonz that changed your republican bent. He did it with the politeness of a Knight. I remember telling a member of my staff that he was an American that could be a member of my royal house.
He has conducted himself as a perfect gentleman though his post on this blog and I refuse to have you sully his good name with your speculations about what he and Michelle were up to.
Why you feel that a man like Anonz would go to the trouble of using you to get with Michelle is as exceedingly egotistical as it is without merit.
Go back and read your conversations with Anonz and those between Anonz and Michelle. It is obvious they did not know each other. If they met during one or more of her european travels it was something only he could have initiated.
You peasant stock americans have no sense of Nobility. Anonz would not have needed to have a go between to converse secretly with Michelle if that is what he had wished to do neither would he have presented himself to Michelle or any other woman as that kind of blackguard.
You madam are sorely mistaken and you owe the man an apology. He, being a noble gentleman, is in no position to defend himself. I would implore Ruth or some other member of his circle to speak up, but that is not the nature of Nobility.
Thus I felt the absolute necessity to stand for his honor.

Michelle, You have my sincere condolences. I am certain that you have been hurt by Zen Lill’s baseless allegations. I know if you do know Anonz personally, it will be impossible for you to address the issue.
I thank you for the help you have extended towards me and I will attest to your always being a perfectly honorable being while doing it.
Zen Lill, I don’t know what would prompt you to believe that Michelle and Anonz are romantically involved, but I know Anonz and I know that he would not need to use you or anyone else to affect a liaison with anyone he wanted to court.
He is not shy and he is not without the resources to contact and maintain a secret relationship with anyone without the need for a “beard.” You do him and yourself a disservice by suggesting something as victorian novelist as that.
I also take issue with the way you have catalogued my friend as a person who sees people as disposable. He has spent his life putting his before those that have been considered “disposable” by society.
It would seem the caveat about being the object of “a woman ire” is Anonz’s plight here. From your advice to others on this subject, I am disappointed that you have not felt the need to follow it.
I do not wish to further your discomfort and, I am certain that neither would Anonz. But I speak up because I feel this is something you have brought upon yourself by your own willingness to confess that which you should have kept between you and Michelle.
I suspect when you calm down, your intelligence will tell you this. When it does I hope that you will have the courage to approach Michelle and cure this rip between the two of you.

Michelle you owe Zen Lill no explanation after the way she threw you under the bus because of a few accusations by the crazy fans of this blog. I would have expected a more mature reaction from the woman who is always seeing both sides of a sexual or intimate issue between parties.
I guess it’s not that easy when you are the subject. I won’t call her a hypocrite but I wonder how she is going to feel when the heat of this cools down. She certainly must know that in retrospect the idea that Anonz and you would need to use a blog to communicate secretly is ludicrous. The man is a $Billionaire for god’s sake.

Maybe Michelle told Zen Lill in private and Zen Lill was so angry she used this situation to embarrass Michelle, or to tell Doug. A woman that feels she has been scorned is hell to live with.
Anna, I like your club. And I like the fact you exhibited a more mature approach to your relationship with Lia than Zen Lill did with Michelle’s tete a tete with Anonz(if that is what happened). Many of my friends don’t believe that Michelle and Doug are divorced. We believe it is just another way to bring in other characters for them to interact with.

Ma Qin, I actually woke up in the middle if the night (as usual, to sleepwalk to the bathroom) and always one word comes into the chalkboard within my mind, usually it’s a power word or the essence of a dream, almost always precognitive of something, last night it was ‘Ma Qin’ so I knew you’d comment today. Hafa adai, it seems the same old element is out trying to prevent the legalization of Marijuana.
Public Health Director Jim Gillan testified at a public hearing Thursday on Bill 215, which would legalize the use of medical marijuana for residents with certain kinds of medical conditions. It’s the second hearing on the bill.
Just LEGALIZE it already, damn it.

Zen Lilla Your African crew are behind you. I couldn’t get to the computer yesterday to speak for them they have been numbing me on the hour so here I am.

Uwella and African crew, I am touched deeply, I can only imagine what you go through to get to a computer and here I am on a smartphone. Believe me I am known for ponying out these global inequalities to friends and anyone who bitches about very western ‘problems’ thank you from the bottom of the very real heart of ZL.
Ted, I am so with you, I post elsewhere regularly about canniness bc at it’s least urs less lethal than alcohol for entertainment purposes but it is medicinal, I can cute you many instances but ill give you one that makes me tear up when I think of it. Docs far and wide were treating a friends baby for seizures and the seizures increased, worsened and the poor parents were getting desperate and the suggestion for cannibus oil was made, and yes this child is getting better much better, the trouble is they are charging the parents an arm and a leg fr this oil. I know many peeps so I brewed up done if the best and now they get it FREE, I’m very blessed (or something) to have the ability to do things like that. Keep up the fight, it’s worth it.

Zen Lill I see you are not big on apologies. You owe me one and Michelle. You made a mistake when you assumed that Michelle was talking to that other Brittany. How hard is that to admit.
Why you think she owes you an apology when it was you who flew off the handle because you didn’t pay attention to the fact that their was two Brittany s or even bother to click the link Michelle posted with the smiley face.
All the attention you have been giving to Michelle using you, has dulled that keen brain of yours or you would not have so easily shrugged off Mike, TM’s advice and get the picture you were NOT used because with today’s conveniences no one needs a “beard.”
Look up the word. Anonz didn’t need to pretend with you go get with Michelle, he could just email, call, text, twitter, facebook or any number of ways to contact her. Your ego is way off the charts if you can continue to believe that you were used.
If he had an affair with Michelle, maybe you weren’t that secret with your 5 year lover as you thought you were and Anonz with his secret ferreting out skills and his $Billions found out.
Or MAYBE HE WAS JUST NOT THAT INTO YOU? Get the movie.
Either way you need to do as Helena#23 suggested and buy a pair of BIG girl panties and put them on.

Zen Lill you are my favorite bar none on this blog. I also love your exercises and diet suggestions. But girl I have to say you are way wrong on this call.
Like Sofia#15, or should I say Lady, or Madam Sofia, I have been keeping records of this blog since the beginning. I also chronicle the players as they come and go and tag their comments chronologically and other ways for instant access.
When I checked on comments by you I came across one where you were telling us about the time you slept with your sister’s friend’s ex boyfriend. You seemed quite proud of that.
I would think that since you were no longer sleeping with Anonz and had moved on with a steady of your own, you would no be so vindictively possessive of who Anonz was sleeping with.
I don’t know how you got wind of the fact that Michelle was sleeping with him, but if she told you, and you violated her confidence to the blog without discussing it with her first, you definitely owe her an apology.
As for you suggesting she owes you an apology because you believe that she and Anonz used you by playing you so they could tryst, I don’t buy it. You are much too intelligent for that.

I don’t get what your standards for throwing someone under the bus is. You called Michelle a LSOS. You based it on here say by a blogster. I don’t see the intelligence in that.
I wouldn’t want to be the one you threw under a bus, if this is not what you consider doing that. Why you don’t feel you need to apologize just shows that all that advice you have been giving others about being big enough to not allow men to come between women is bullshit.

Zen Lill before I throw my very wealth briefs into the ring, I need to clear the air. Although I find you attractive physically(I love tall blonds) and intellectually stimulating most of the time, occasionally you throw me for a loop.
Like Larry, I can’t reconcile your intellect with you believing that Anonz and Michelle were “using” you. Neither do I think there is any “between the lines” that Michelle or Anonz know about. If there were something you would have spilled it as you did the fact that you believe they slept together.
That being said I’d still like to meet the woman that speaks so sensually on this blog and who comes off so full of life and fun on the Utube video about your daughter and her mannequin.
I’m a 56 year-old widow who hasn’t had two consecutive dates with a woman in the 3 years since the passing of my beloved soul mate. When I mentioned my interest in you with Marian, my oldest of 4 children, and the one who introduced me to this blog and the one who I picked 4 years ago to run my international company(She has done an excellent job.), she said “a woman who can’t admit when she is obviously wrong, isn’t stable enough to handle the intrigue that comes with dating in our circles.”
