Just Noticing: Observations of a Blogger

Good morning!
“Just noticing….”
…I guess this weekend is all about Hillary.
A Tale Of Two Visions
Hillary Clinton Argues For “Inclusive Prosperity,” John Boehner Ignores His Past
The Center for American Progress was honored today to host a dynamic panel of women leaders featuring Secretary Hillary Rodham Clinton, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, Senators Kirsten Gillibrand and Patty Murray, and Rep. Rosa DeLauro to discuss why women’s economic security matters for everyone. Clinton spoke forcefully about the need for workplace policies that work for women and families: “The number one thing we can do to make our economy grow is to tap into the full potential of women who want to be in the workforce,” she said.
Across town, Speaker John Boehner delivered his own remarks on what he termed “resetting America’s economic foundation.” But for all the talk about setting a new foundation for the future, the Speaker reminded us of somebody who can’t remember the past.
Secretary Clinton and Speaker Boehner outline two very different visions of America’s future: Clinton recognizes our changing society and seeks to expand economic prosperity for all Americans; Boehner offers platitudes while ignoring his long track record of hurting the middle class.
What Clinton Says: “Without equal pay, without flexibility or predictability at work, without access to quality affordable childcare, without the ability to take a day off if your child or aging parent gets sick, without paid family and medical leave, this woman is really on the brink.”
TRUTH. With women increasingly the primary breadwinner or co-breadwinner in their families, the workplace policies that exist today are simply from a bygone era. Clinton recognized that challenge and spoke about how 21st century policies would help women–and men. And this isn’t just about helping those at the top, as Clinton says, this is fundamentally about working-class people: “We talk about the glass ceiling? — These women don’t even have a secure floor under them.”
What Clinton Says: “The failure of our political leadership on the other side of the aisle to recognize the importance of making sure that people who work hard and play by the rules — that old description — have a chance to get into the middle class and certainly a chance to stay in the middle class.”
TRUTH. While incomes at the top continue to go up, working-class and middle-class families are being squeezed by stagnating wages and rising prices. Policies like those Clinton addressed in the panel, such as an increase in the minimum wage and policies for women and families, are a critical step to not only helping all citizens achieve economic security but also to really grow the economy and create jobs for everyone.
What Boehner Says: “Let’s fix the whole tax code. Make it pro-growth and pro-family. Bring down the rates for every American, clear out all the loopholes, allow people to do their taxes on two – yes, two – sheets of paper.”
What Boehner Does: The Speaker does not lay out any details of what kind of tax reform he supports, but a look at his support for the Ryan Budget plan is enough: it would raise taxes on middle class families by an average of $1,358 to pay for a$286,000 tax cut for millionaires. This isn’t just unfair—it’s a recipe for economic stagnation. A tax cut for the rich has no measurable effect on growth while a tax cut for everyone else actually does boost the economy.
What Boehner Says: “We have to solve our spending problem. For 53 of the last 60 years, we’ve spent more money than we’ve brought in…It is stealing from our kids and grandkids, robbing them of benefits they’ll never see and leaving them with burdens that are nearly impossible to repay.”
What Boehner Does: There are two sides to any budget deficit, spending and revenue, a reality Boehner has willfully ignored as Speaker. He famously refused a “Grand Bargain” with President Obama in 2011 that would have cut federal spending by $2.2 trillion because the President asked for $650 billion more in revenue and said in 2013 that the “the talk about raising revenue is over.”
And speaking of robbing kids, it’s worth noting that Boehner has refused bills that would help state and local governments halt teacher layoffs.
What Boehner Says: “We’ve gotten to a point in America where litigation has become a first resort instead of a last. The costs are staggering: Americans are spending more per person on litigation than just about any other country, and it’s not even close. Our liability costs are more than 2.5 times the average level of Eurozone economies. Not something to be proud of.”
What Boehner Does:The Speaker should first take his own advice on frivolous lawsuits before he begins offering policy prescriptions on litigation. After all, he led the charge this summer to win approval of a resolution authorizing him to sue the Obama Administration for waiving the Affordable Care Act’s employer mandate. The lawsuit is the definition of frivolous—not only is it likely to lose, but Boehner doesn’t even support the employer mandate he is suing to enforce!
What Clinton Says: “Congress is living in a evidence-free zone.” When it comes to Speaker Boehner, that’s the truth.
*****
Readers: Thanks, but no thanks, I’ll stick with Hillary’s vision. Boehner is no different than most repubs.
Suzy: Like Paula, I am of the same mind that says, “I will do everything possible to work against them (the republicans) in 2014. Encouraging minorities to vote is just another way to get more Dems to the polls. It isn’t just white women who need to wake up. It is all women. All women, no matter what race, need to get to the polls and support our sisters by voting in the women and men that are going to legislate in our best interest, and not what is convenient or controlling or an example like the write I posted above.
Speaking of security…
Ellen: Incompetent, not caring…whatever. There is no excuse. I agree with you, but I would fire all of them and their superiors. Who cares if the president and his daughters left the White House. This man could’ve had a bomb strapped to him intending to blow up the entire building.
Not only that, it sends all sorts of messages that aren’t good, and inspires many questions. The White House is supposed to be the safest most protected home in our country.
Our Secret Service is supposed to be the best well trained people in the business. You can’t use the excuse that other people were around and they didn’t want to harm anyone that might have gotten in the way. These are trained sharp shooters. It is their job to be able to hit their intended target, still or moving. It is their job to prevent people from entering the White House. Hell..at least let the dogs loose.
This is totally inexcusable and unacceptable. Would this have happened if the president was a white man? I’m not saying it wouldn’t have, but it certainly raises the question.
What does this say to ISIS or other terrorists who see the videos? What message does it convey about breaching the White House?
What’s on your mind? Blog me.
Peace out.

The this white woman sees it is white men are in this for themselves. If they can only win by deceiving us white women into believing they will bring us into their privilege status they will. Alas most of us fall for it.

Howie, What’s Up? China sent a surveillance ship to waters off Guam to monitor a US naval drill. Over the past week, the Chinese Dongdiao-class auxiliary general intelligence – or AGI – ship has been in waters near the site of Exercise Valiant Shield.

What does it matter what the republicans say if women are going to support males regardless.

Where is the sense god gave people? You would not believe the idiots lining up to fill their bellys with the poison fast food outlets like Jack in the box puts in there food.
Are you one of the few who has yet to try the newly opened Jack in the Box because lines have been ridiculously long? Don’t worry, managers say they plan to open more locations soon, up to two more.
Jack in the Box along with Shell and Foody’s held their grand opening over the weekend. They had raffle prizes, giveaways and some entertainment.
IP&E Marketing Manager Tiffany tam says this Shell is their 13th location and Foody’s is an original concept convenience store featuring a one-of-a-kind walk in chiller beer cave, a wine cellar, full-service barista/café and even a 5-star bathroom.
It is still fast food people. How about a little common sense? If you must eat it, do it in moderation. Hafa Adai.

The Kochs are spending $27 Million to defeat Kay Hagan in North Carolina. They have managed to close the polls early in democratic districts. They have limited voting by OTWs in several other illegal ways.
They will be posting literature on the doors in districts that usually vote democratic telling them that they can vote the day after the election close to election.
“This remains a close race and despite the good run of polling for Hagan over the last week still probably belongs in the toss up category.”
Mainly because white men are voting color and most white women in North Carolina follow their men lock-step.
If Kay loses, don’t think Hillary can’t.

Parker#2, We are either expecting an invasion from a foreign power or a full scale assault from aliens.
I am participating in Air Force, civil engineering exercise held at several locations across the globe. The expeditionary training is designed to set up operations at bare-base locations and features bed-down planning, base recovery, command and control and airfield recovery.
The exercise also teaches a variety of specialty training to include heavy equipment operation, set up of aircraft arresting barriers, emergency airfield lighting, generator installation and maintenance, and fire rescue technician training.
For the first six days of the exercise, personnel were divided into their career fields. The time was used for training to prepare the group for reconstructing “_________air base.”
On day seven of the exercise, the “deployed forces” at ______ Airbase came together to respond to different attacks and tasking injects put forth by the instructors. These scenarios ranged from mortar fire to chemical and biological attacks to casualties. In responding to these scenarios, the Seabees and Airmen, side-by-side in full battle gear, repaired the airfield to ensure that F-16 aircraft were capable of takeoffs and landings.
The exercise took approximately 14 hours from start to finish, of which six hours were spent in Mission Oriented Protective Posture level two and four, which is protective gear used by military personnel in a chemical, biological, or radiological environment.
The Air Force’s equipment is much the same as the Seabees, but their terminology is very different. It took the first couple of days for us to familiarize ourselves with the Air Force terminology, but once we passed that phase, we integrated ourselves quite efficiently with our Air Force counterparts.
Howie, if you know something about an alien invasion, speak up man. I’d like to think that this is just a precautionary exercise for an attack by a foreign nation. I’m a civil engineer, this was my first time being involved in such a huge cooperation with the US Air Force.

Something is happening on Guam. A brand new hospital is opening on Guam. We are getting a whole new range of specialized physicians.
A friend said she/he was afraid to post this but that some of the scientists use to work for SETI or NASA, or some other space entity.
What’s up Howie. Are people on Guam becoming “pod” people?

Typical white boy fashion when a perp is white even if he is killing cops he becomes a sort of anti hero.
Have you read the articles about Eric Frein? The skinny is:
“He’s a skilled marksman
A trail of clues led authorities to execute a search warrant on the suspect’s family’s home. That’s when Frein’s father told authorities that two firearms were missing, according to a probable cause affidavit.
The father said one of those missing firearms was an AK-47; the other was a .308 rifle, which police believe was the same type of rifle used to shoot the troopers.
The father said his son grew up with guns and was a member of his high school’s rifle club.
When Frein shoots, his father told authorities, he “doesn’t miss.”
====================
Me, I’m hoping he’s right.

Someone posted a comment on this blog about how white folk have no idea about how to raise children so they allowed some childless dr. spock to tell them how to raise theirs.
And in typical white boy fashion they made their opinion law by passing legislature that made the rest of us have to do what they do. Essentially they gave our kids a 800 number to use to report spanking.
It is just a true statement to say most white people are as dumb as a box of rocks. They have to be told what is good, bad or ugly in every category in their life or they won’t know how to evaluate their life experiences.
If you are white and reading this with anger because I said it, before you blow a cork, think about what I said.
Your race can’t pick a movie a meal or a garment to wear without first checking the “experts” to see if you will be happy with it.
Black people laugh at you. We invent new things to please us and you have to wait until some “expert” tells you it is the “in thing” before you grab on to it. i.e. baggy pants hanging off your butt, even your women are now doing it. Remember Rap, and ebonics? Now you can’t speak without copying them.
Check your music or anything else in your American culture, some OTW started it. Whatever you claim to have done without OTW influence was done when you had laws in place denying the OTW the right to assert dominion over his/her invention or contribution.
Just saying.

I wouldn’t go that far Aldofo#9, but I will say I bet we won’t see the cops pulling over white boys and checking them for rifles and ak47s.
Even if the cops are being threatened with death by a white boy, the constitution will be cited to prevent PROFILING of their race.
I’m enjoying it.

My cousin works for SETI. He said that his section has spotted what they think is a huge space ship capable of altering its shape and position to resemble one of Jupiter’s moons.
He saids that his group specializes in studying Jupiter’s moon Europa because they believe they have detected extraterrestrial life like movement on its surface.
He says that some of his colleagues believe that they have detected a huge object that can move and mimic the moons of Jupiter.
So Howie, is it true that there is a spacecraft hiding behind Jupiter?

While alien life can be seen nightly on television and in the movies, it has never been seen in space. Not so much as a microbe, dead or alive, let alone a wrinkle-faced Klingon.
Despite this lack of protoplasmic presence, there are many researchers – sober, sceptical academics – who think that life beyond Earth is rampant. They suggest proof may come within a generation. These scientists support their sunny point of view with a few astronomical facts that were unknown a generation ago.
In particular, and thanks largely to the success of NASA’s Kepler space telescope, we can now safely claim that the universe is stuffed with temperate worlds. In the past two decades, thousands of planets have been discovered around other stars. New ones are turning up at the rate of at least one a day.
More impressive than the tally is their sheer abundance. It seems the majority of stars have planets, implying the existence of a trillion of these small bodies in the Milky Way galaxy alone. A deeper analysis of Kepler data suggests that as many as one in five stars could sport a special kind of planet, one that is the same size as Earth and with similar average temperatures. Such planets, styled as “habitable”, could be swathed by atmospheres and awash in liquid water.
In other words, the Milky Way could be host to tens of billions of Earth’s cousins.
Sterile universe?
It is hard to accept that all these worlds are sterile, a circumstance that would make us, and all the flora and fauna of our planet, a miracle. Miracles have little status in science.

Bigotry and subliminal promotion of their race was alive and well this morning. Any who watched the Broncos/ Seahawks game yesterday witnessed two outstanding quarterbacks taking their teams to touchdowns.
But to see the capsulation this morning you would think that only the white quarterback whose team lost did a stella job. His performance was highlighted while the fact that the Seahawks quarterback, Russell Wilson immediately brought his team down the field for the winning touchdown was ignored.
Most white boys will never stop promoting themselves at the expense of everyone else.

Eat Sardines, Improve Memory
by Dr. David Williams
Last Reviewed 08/19/2014
In a recent blog, I told you about Stephen Jepson, a man in his early 70s who keeps his body, and mind, in tip-top shape basically by playing all day long, every day. In writing that blog, it reminded me of one of my favorite (and simplest) tips for promoting optimal cognitive health and specifically improving short-term memory: Eat sardines.
How do sardines improve memory? These tiny fish are not only a good source of the essential fatty acids EPA and DHA, which are key components for learning and proper brain function, but they are also one of the richest sources of nucleotides.
Nucleotides are the sub-units or building blocks from which your body creates ribonucleic acid (RNA). RNA is a molecule that has been shown to be a big factor in cellular memory, and it is believed to be essential to short-term memory. Specifically, RNA stimulates the production of acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter key to memory and other functions in the brain.
Two Tins a Week for a Better Memory
So, when it comes to improving short-term memory, I strongly suggest adding sardines to your diet—one tin at least twice a week. Just make sure you purchase “true” sardines. Years ago a law passed allowing manufacturers to market any small, soft-boned fish as a “sardine” in the US. True sardines come from Moroccan, Portuguese, or Mediterranean waters.
If you don’t like sardines, or can’t bring yourself to try them, you can eat other foods that are high in nucleotide content to improve memory, including brewer’s yeast, anchovies, mackerel, lentils, most types of beans, and oysters. The green algae chlorella is also high in nucleotides, as is the blue-green algae spirulina.
You can also take RNA in supplement form. It is part of the B-vitamin family and available at most health food stores and online. To find out how much to take, Dr. George Goodheart has devised an easy at-home test to determine your RNA dosage. And with this simple test, you can always go back and recheck later to adjust your dosage downward as your short-term memory improves.

Yemen’s government and Shia Houthi rebels signed a pece agreement in Sanaa. We are being cornered in Saada. My relatives escaped but were cornered in Amran.
Bodies by the hundreds are turning up. If the men could kill each other and leave us women alone, I would be all for it.

[…] Lill Of Guam: That is disturbing. If you think you’ve got an obesity problem in Guam now, it will only get worse with Jack in the Box and McDonalds coming into town.
