Is Your State Rigged?
Posted by Michelle Moquin on October 11th, 2014
Good morning!
The Koch brothers have used their money to control local elections to state level in many states to take control of the states election process and its economic system. Controlling a state’s election process allows them to decide who gets elected on every level of the state and in federal elections.
They gets to rig the states voting system by: gerrymandering, deciding who can vote, when they can vote, what and how many voting booths are in a particular polling place, and the software that counts the vote. That software can manipulate the count without a trace of its crime because there is no paper record of how you voted.
From Think Progress:
Is Your State Rigged?
Much has been written on the Koch brothers’ immense wealth and influential network of shadow groups, think tanks, and political action committees dedicated to drastically altering our economic and political system at the national level —or, as we call it, “Kochonomics.”
But it is at the state and local level that the Koch brothers’ impact has become the most effective—and harmful.
The less Americans know about the effects of these state and local efforts, the more the Koch brothers can accomplish. The Center for American Progress Action Fund needs your help today to investigate and inform the public about the Koch brothers’ extended efforts to rig the system for their benefit.
Recently, the Center for American Progress Action Fund released the report, “Kochonomics: Rigging the System at the Local Level,” which revealed the Koch brothers’ successful campaigns to take their anti-government, low-regulation lobbying efforts from city to city. These campaigns are a part of a $400 million scheme to transform policies in school boards and town halls to oppose funds that support teachers and students, pay for police officers, maintain roads and bridges, and protect the environment. Yesterday, we released another report, “Kochonomics in Wisconsin and North Carolina,” which gives an in-depth view into the Kochs brothers’ efforts in two of their self-declared model states.
Help us continue to inform Americans across the country by contributing $5, $10, or $25 dollars to the Center for American Progress Action Fund to fund our investigative efforts. Your contribution will help provide citizens with the knowledge they need to fight back against the spread of Kochonomics.
We cannot sit idly by as our states and cities are being re-structured to benefit a wealthy few.
The Koch brothers are spending $400 million – We are asking you for $25. Please go to our website today and contribute what you can to keep our work going.
Thank you for your support!
Sincerely,
Your friends at the Center for American Progress Action Fund
P.S. Please be sure to share our reports and encourage your friends to contribute!

From MSNBC and The Rachel Maddow Show:
The bad news is unfortunately, it was just released that SCOTUS OK’d strict North Carolina voting law for the upcoming midterms. The awesome news is, SCOTUS has blocked Wisconsin’s voter ID law, and a federal court found a new Texas voter ID law unconstitutional. Woo Hoo! – that is something to celebrate.
And speaking of Wisconsin, here’s a bit of laughter to start you off on your weekend. The topic isn’t funny but the comedian is. Comedian Lewis Black blasted voting restrictions in Wisconsin in an ad posted by the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) Thursday.
Restrict voting rights? Not on comedian Lewis Black’s watch

Readers: It’s enough that we need to be concerned about whether we can exercise our right to vote when there are those that oppose doing whatever it takes to prevent voters from voting. (That’s a nod to you Paula) Don’t miss your opportunity to vote.
Thoughts? What’s on your mind? Blog me.
Social Butterfly: My pleasure. Unfortunately, I don’t think there is much we can do yet. Warren will most likely not run, unlike Bernie Sanders who is thinking with his ego instead of for his country. If he runs against the Dem candidate as a Independent, he will surely take away some Dem votes and we would have a strong chance at losing to the repubs. Sound familiar? Ugh. I can’t believe I am even having this conversation. :) Really, I don’t want to think about that right now; I am too entrenched in the November political race to think about 2016.
I am so narrowly focused that I am barely reading anything outside of the November midterms. So, I want to thank you for being my eyes on the outside, :) and bringing up Malala Yousafzai, winning the 2014 Nobel Peace prize! I couldn’t be more happier and proud, and she couldn’t be more deserving. She is most definitely a Wonderful Girl Of The World.
♥ Congratulations Malala! ♥

Facebook Fueling Young Minds
It was an honor to join Chef Tom Colicchio at Mission High School to discuss ways to ensure success in the classroom by fueling young minds with proper nutrition and take a tour of the student run farm and a cooking demonstration.
Today, the San Francisco Unified School District is leading the way in our nation – setting high nutrition standards with fresh, high quality school lunches, breakfasts, suppers and snacks. This achievement has been the product of a community-wide effort with nutritious meals provided by Revolution Foods, forward-looking local leaders, dedicated cafeteria workers and the Mission High students working on “My Farm”, who know that a healthier future takes effort. The same is true in Congress. In 2010, with the help of our stalwart champion First Lady Michelle Obama, we passed the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010, which advances two goals: reducing childhood hunger and childhood obesity. In the United States, 1 in 3 children suffer from obesity. In San Francisco, 150,000 people are at risk of hunger, with 1 in 4 being children.
As Chef Tom Colicchio said, “It is about the future; you plant the seed and watch it grow, just as you watch children grow.” Providing our children with healthy food is not an expense; it is an investment in the future of our nation. We must work together to ensure that children have healthy meals, everyday – regardless of their parents’ income or where they live. We must empower students with the health, the education, and the economic security they need to carry our nation in the future.

A Community of Compassion
Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi lends a hand at the first meal service of the new St. Anthony’s Dining Room. On Saturday, I was proud to join with Mayor Ed Lee and community leaders to celebrate the grand opening of the new St. Anthony’s Dining Room.
What St. Anthony’s provides is more than just a hearty meal; more than a center for clothes and services; more than a site of affordable senior housing. St. Anthony’s gives strength to the struggling. It gives dignity to the downtrodden. It reaches through the hardships of those who come here in need, and recognizes the spark of divinity that burns within us all. It is a place that reignites the humanity of every person who walks through its doors – helped and helper alike.
As we open the doors to this marvelous new facility, let us dedicate ourselves to a renewed, optimistic, and emboldened vision for Our City. Let us keep our commitment to expanding and strengthening this community of compassion. Let us lift our eyes and our spirits to a warm and hearty hope in the future of St. Anthony’s – and all those it serves.
Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi joins with Jeff Ung, this year’s District 12 Congressional Art Competition winner and Matthew Schrage, creator of the “Time to Code” app and District 12 winner of the 1st Annual House Student App Contest.

The entire US voting system is rigged by the elitists to keep their control over their “subjects” in this so-called “democratic” society.
October 11th, 2014 at 11:14 am
Most people believe the US elections are real. They either vote Republican or Democrat in a two party system, which is not what a true democracy is all about.
October 11th, 2014 at 11:15 am
I came across this interesting map today and I thought to myself, hey, these are the voters to be targeted – the richest woman in every state! If they all voted democratic, their friends would too I believe. And more importantly, the women on this map that are voting republican need to be called out for their shameful abandonment of the rights of all women. It’s worth knowing their political contributions and trying to turn them around for they truly will influence other women, in my opinion.

The Illuminati elitists control both the Republican and Democratic parties, so it doesn’t matter which
candidate wins, since the rich elite bankers and businessmen like the Rothschilds, Rockefellers and Morgans continue their agenda controlling
America and the world.
October 11th, 2014 at 11:20 am
Social Butterfly#5, you have made an excellent point on both accounts.
October 11th, 2014 at 11:21 am
The Republicans and Democrats are like two sides of the same coin. No matter how you flip it or how it lands, since they’re on both sides, they always win.

Even if the elections weren’t rigged, the official ribbon cutting government has outsourced at least 90% of it’s functions to the Shadow government. Names associated with the like of the NWO, Club of Rome, CFR, Trilateral Commission, big bangsters, and on all have some things in common.
There names show up on the list of investors, owners and partners of companies that have the government contracts and receive bailout money. One of these shell companies that makes up key components of the Shadow Government is the Carlyle group.
The Ex-Presidents, VP’s, bankers, Ex-Prime Ministers, Saudi terrorists club. It runs the NSA, builds the f-35 and is a big player in Obamacare. It’s partners run the gamut of political ideology (for public consumption) from Bushs to Clinton, to Gore, to Soros.
They even have their man, Carl Rove, ex-Marriott CEO (a Carlyle company) steering GOP presidential nominations, steered to achieve the designated Fall Guy.

Having the right to vote simply gives the people of America the illusion that they are the ones making the decision.
October 11th, 2014 at 11:26 am
Given the undeniable fact that the candidate who lost the popular vote went on to win election by the electoral college several times the only reasonable conclusion that can be drawn is that all U.S. Presidential elections since it was put into use (after the Civil War) have been rigged.
As for the other elections, the mere fact that some people have managed to remain in office (in the Senate or House of Representatives) through two decades and more strongly suggests tampering to me.
October 11th, 2014 at 11:27 am
Very good suggestion Social Butterfly#5. I am writing the the one in my state of Texas.
Come on people get on board.

In 2008 and 2012 they were for sure and it was proven that there were high percentages of dead people voting in Ohio. I don’t know why the people who sign in voters aren’t checking closer unless they’re paid to look the other way?
October 11th, 2014 at 11:31 am
Crime rules in America at the ballot boxes. Voter suppression and gerrymandering steals more votes that all the dead people voting imaginable.
October 11th, 2014 at 11:34 am
WarrenE15, please post a link to support your lies. You republicans think that because your choir is stupid and they will believe any bullshit you sling their way, they rest of us will.
Put up or shut the fuck up you troll. What investigation in Ohio showed even the slightest hint of voter fraud other than the attempted voter suppression actions of the republicans?

Does a bear shit in the woods?!! I mean you have the owner of the machines on video in court admitting that they fix them, what more does anyone need?
October 11th, 2014 at 11:35 am
Voting machines are prime candidates for computer fraud.
October 11th, 2014 at 11:44 am
Don’t forget Bush, Diebold testified in court that they were fixing the machines right after that election.
October 11th, 2014 at 11:44 am
I don’t know……….yes…….no? Who really know except the insiders. Given NSA spying, political infidelities, and congressional self gratification, I’d have to state that I believe it entirely within the realm of extreme possibility.
October 11th, 2014 at 11:46 am
I really don’t have faith in “Electronic Voting Machines.” The right can manipulate them at will
October 11th, 2014 at 2:34 pm
Lower gas prices have not changed my mind about whom I will vote for in November. It would take the Government stepping back and allowing this country to pull it together and restart free marketing, open up the coal mines and using our natural resources and allowing water to flow into areas of Colorado where they need it to produce crops and ever so much more. That “ain’t” going to happen so…

Those who bend over and let obama screw you deserve a bloody arse and and bloody nose to as you are all anti America.
Liberism is a cancer and obama is spreading it faster than eric holder can make up more lies.
October 11th, 2014 at 2:39 pm
How did Obama get elected TWICE? Are people that dumb or is the game rigged?
October 11th, 2014 at 2:41 pm
James#25, you could do worst than ask Michelle that.
October 11th, 2014 at 2:42 pm
Yes, they are rigged. If you do not win either the Democratic or Republican party nomination, you are not allowed in the (real) debates, it is difficult to get on many state’s ballots, and many view you as a traitor to your side (for instance, if you are a conservative independent you take votes away from the republicans, so people will act as if you gave the election to the democrats if your votes plus the republican’s votes add up to more than the democrat’s votes in a swing state).
So, the way Obama was elected was because of the choices the people really had. The republicans put up a guy who couldn’t show the people much difference between his policies and Bush’s policies in 2008, and a guy who said that 47% of Americans are leeching bums in 2012.
So they voted for the guy with a plan–because if he could come through on half of his promises then he would do more for the country than the other guy dreamed of doing.
October 11th, 2014 at 2:43 pm
Obviously not everyone agrees with you. Remember how embarrassed Fox News was because their polling was so terrible. If conservatives only talk to each they’re convinced everyone agrees with them. It’s like living in a bubble.
If you really think that the only way he was re-elected was by rigging the elections, you’ve gone off the deep end.
October 11th, 2014 at 2:43 pm
The elections are not rigged but the system of deciding who is available to vote for is strongly guided by money interests. The only way to beat that system is for all of you who make your voting decisions based on who has the fanciest or most plentiful ads to get a brain and think for yourselves.
October 11th, 2014 at 2:45 pm
James:
People didn’t support Romney because his message was bogus, their Convention was a “train wreck”, The majority was more in tune with Obama’s message.
This rant about your defeat is laughable, and all the T.D.’s the conspirators are going to give to this answer. You people will never get a clue, your brains are clouded with the negative network.
You say, and do nothing but complain, and if that doesn’t work, you go to Fox for your answer. A station that will “stroke” your erroneous beliefs. You really should check with someone else.
October 11th, 2014 at 2:56 pm
The republicans use racially geremandered districts, race baiting, voter suppression laws, and judges to force the people to accept them.
Most white women are just dumb or naive when it comes to accepting the rhetoric of white men. They can’t seem to get past the propaganda put in front of them by white males using them for their votes.
The system the republicans have set up for themselves is set up for maximum enhanced chances of winning. If all that appears to not work, you had better believe they are prepared to rig the system.
October 11th, 2014 at 2:57 pm
Obama won the Presidency by winning not only the popular vote but the electoral as well.
Being dumb, as you put it, all depends on which side of the fence you are on, looser.

When republicans are not trying to rig elections they are trying to suppress the vote by those who aren’t inclined to vote for them. What is so insane is all the fucked up white people who will look you in the face and claim there is a lot of voter impersonation fraud at the polls thus making it necessary to force people to bring an ID.
But if you ask them to name just ONE instance in their state in which this type of fraud occurred they just claim statistics that they have no verification of. You are just supposed to take their word for it. Like this bullshit claim by the State of Wisconsin.
====================================
In-Person Voter Fraud Is Virtually Nonexistent, Federal Judge Rules Posted: 04/29/2014.
WASHINGTON — Trying to crack down on in-person voter fraud isn’t a strong enough justification for Wisconsin’s voter ID law, a federal judge ruled Tuesday, because voter impersonation virtually never occurs now and is unlikely to become a real problem in the future.
“The evidence at trial established that virtually no voter impersonation occurs in Wisconsin,” Adelman ruled in Frank v. Walker. “The defendants could not point to a single instance of known voter impersonation occurring in Wisconsin at any time in the recent past.
THAT’S RIGHT SCOTT WALKER,, THE GOVERNER OF WISSCONSIN COULD NOT PRESENT ENEN ONE,,, NOT ONE CASE OF VOTER FRAUD IN HIS OWN STATE.
We already have a voter I D it is called you voter registration card and your signature affirming that it is you voting. Why do we need MORE added I D? If you utter the words voter fraud,, then back up the claim of this crime that you CLAIM is being committed.
All you have to do is name 6 (six) cases of voter fraud ,, that’s all just 6. I have been looking for years and can only account for 5 names dates people and places of actual voter fraud.
THE VOTER ID IS REPUBLICAN VOTER SUPRESION PURE AND SIMPLE.
================================================
Not fucking one!. Just bullshit rhetoric.

I know this is a subject change but I can’t resist bringing this up. One of the reasons men are so fucking cruel to women is they learn at a young age that they can get away with it. Here is a case of seniors on a highschool boys on a football team sexually assaulting their younger freshmen teammates.
The really terrible thing is that the parents don’t see as much wrong with their children’s behavior as they do with having the football season cancelled. One can only imagine what is happening to the females in that school.
